Spire in Liverpool

Another wonderful lunch here. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly people and astonishingly marvellous food. From delightful presentation, to beautiful flavours, it would be difficult to find a better meal. All set off with excellent wine at very reasonable prices. Thank you for making a special day.

Great Service, food and atmosphere!

My son was 50 and we were celebrating his birthday we were a party of 13 and the meals we had were magnificent we all had a selection of different meals from fish to lamb I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten everyone agreed we will all be booking the spire again also the staff were very good brilliant service..

Food superb and cooked fillet steak the way my partner wanted it no red at all(sorry chef I know what a waste but it’s the way she likes it😀) Simple things in service makes all the difference like offering us a choice of tables when most restaurants would just put you to one. Scallops and goats cheese starters great along with hake and the well done fillet also first class! Apple tartin and ample cheese board to top off an excellent meal. Oh one last thing is that the wine list and food very reasonably priced for the quality you get.

Lovely food. Party of six having Christmas dinner. Wonderful starters. Most of us opted for traditional Christmas meal. Food arrived promptly. Good service on the whole apart from one waitress whom we asked if we could have more veg who promptly told us that the two bowls of veg were for the six meals and added she was "not here to argue". Which left us somewhat bewildered as no one was arguing. No one was being belligerent. It was simply a polite request for more veg. Whilst waiting for the extra veg we counted the sprouts in each of the two bowls there were 4 sprouts a few slices of carrot green beans & a couple of prices of broccoli. (8 sprouts between 6 people.). Later the waitress returned and asked if there was anything else we would like more gravy or cranberry sauce. We had not been given any cranberry sauce at this point and this waitress seemed a little resentful about attending to us. However, her colleague was lovely, cheerful & helpful. Not sure I would eat there again

This discreet restaurant doesn’t look much but whoop the food is always fantastic. Always packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. Great wine and staff too.

Been a few times now and it has never disappointed

Prefer an intimate ambience!. I.e. would be nice if other tables conversed amongst themselves rather than deafening us!. Still good though but not for us in future.

Quality over Quantity, and the very best quality! Fantastic food cooked by proper chefs, not pretend ones like at Miller & Carter or somewhere. If you come to Liverpool and don’t try this place, you’re missing out big time. Only thing I noticed was if you don’t “know” any of the staff, you’re not as high on their priority.

Visited Spire tonight for a Sunday lunch and it did not disappoint. Each course was delicious & presented very well. Quality of the food was amazing. Definitely visiting again soon.

We spent a wonderful evening in family. The first time with our kid. Tasty wine and delicious food, with the company of my loved ones in a cosy atmosphere. I would highly recommend booking your table in advance, just in case, as it can fill up very quickly through the evening.

We went to celebrate my sister in law’s 70th early on a Saturday night. I am Coeliac and I have never been so well treated. They had kept the frier clean, they asked about cross contamination, they checked the position with mustard flour and made me a special dessert, not on the menu. It was busy but I felt completely safe and everything I ate was delicious. I will definitely come back again.

Fabulous experience last night. Double celebration for an 80th and a teenager’s birthday. Food was Bob on and all the meals arrived at the same time. Quality, service and friendliness of staff was absolutely amazing. Wonderful. 50 out of 10. No make that 60…… 70……… 😂😂

Again fantastic food. The steak, the lamb the halibut all cooked beautifully. Great chef and kitchen team cooking quality food to its best. Front of house brilliant. All in all a top class locally owned restaurant.

Visited last Wednesday with my friend for a catch up. Spire never fails and is definitely worth a visit. A friend recommended the duck starter which was amazing imagine crispy duck on a bone with a pomegranate salad and tiny potatoes with a beautiful dressing. My palate was wanting more. Then I had the sea bass with prawns and a small fishcake on the side. Wow absolutely gorgeous. Washed down with a lovely blush wine it was the perfect night. The thing with spire it’s not just the food spire has the whole package great service great ambience and very reasonably priced. One not to be missed

Had been wanting to go here for a long while so maybe I had too high an expectation. Sat down and was looking at the menu when the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink. Difficult to answer really as there wasn't a drinks menu on the table which we pointed out to her. She came back,and shall I say kindly, 'despatched' said menu onto the table (flung). The free little cup of soup was lovely, the mains, steak and chips (which were burnt, maybe thats the way they come?) was small but okay, nothing to write home about but the peppercorn sauce was watery, which I commented on to the waitress when asked if everything was okay, which was countered by "I've never had one complaint in 20 years?.". Well you have now. Thank god we had cash with us as the couple on the next table were told that the card machine wasn't working and were told to go to the nearest cash machine to withdraw cash. Overall, not ravin Mary. Overpriced considering the service and size of portions

Highly recommended…family of four, first time visitors all pretty impressed with Spire. A variety of meals and deserts ordered none of them disappointed, service was slowish but understandable given the quality of the food. Would definitely return

From arrival to leaving our dinning experience was first class . The food was devine , hot , tasty and presented beautifully. Thank you , we will be back .xx

The only problem with this restaurant is choosing what to eat. The food and service is of the highest standard and the flavour combinations are unique. I had the trio of fish which was sea bass,cod and halibut, pea puree, wild garlic and jersey royal croquettes in white wine sauce. despite being differing sizes and thickness each piece of fish was cooked to perfection. My entree of smoked duck breast, ballottine of pate, poached peach, Earl Grey jelly, brioche crouts was the best starter so far between here and Spain. The fillet of English beef was the best piece of steak and cooked to perfection. And then the prawn and crispy squid -sensational. All of this as well as being bookended in a famous spot just off Penny Lane.

This is where we come when we have something to celebrate, not because it's too expensive but because we aMt the experience to be special every time. We order from the prix fix menu, 2 courses for 28 and all have something different. My chicken liver parent was devine and the lamb rump was succulent and rich. Son had belly pork followed by steak. Cannot praise this restaurant enough. Good delicious and fantastic service.

Booked here for my birthday. Great service and fantastic food. Couldn't fault any of the experience. Really welcoming staff, great for kids.

Went on Saturday for a meal with friends. As ever, the food was superb, the service friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere welcoming. This was my sixth or seventh visit and I’m yet to be even slightly disappointed . My Beef Wellington was as fine as I’ve ever had and my friends were delighted with their food and the “delicious, juicy Chilean Pinot . Big shout to the Tarte Tatin and the black pudding scotch egg. Excellent evening

First time visiting the restaurant and definitely won’t be my last, amazing food and brilliant service! So friendly and welcoming and the only restaurant that has ever made me feel fully at ease regarding my nut allergy! Thank you, delicious!

Have eaten at this restaurant a number of times and has been truly exceptional experience on every occasion. All the staff are very pleasant and welcoming. An excellent menu with plenty of choice and something for all palates. Beautifully presented food which was cooked perfectly. An extensively diverse very reasonably priced wine list is well worth exploring. One of the best overall dining experiences in Liverpool.

Always top quality cooking and food

Visited for my dad’s 70th birthday. The staff were incredible and each course was absolutely delicious. We visited on a Sunday and were not disappointed with the choice of food on the fixed price menu and ended up ordering all three courses. Definitely recommend booking in advance and it’s totally worth every penny.

Another fabulous meal cooked and served to perfection. Best in Liverpool. We had scallop and squid to start, and Sea Bass and Hallibut for mains all totally delicious.

Amazing food. I am intolerant to garlic, of all things, and the dishes the chef made for me were delicious. The staff/chef were very good at working out what could be made from the ingredients they had that would be tasty and garlic free. A big hit. Will be going back.

First time for me at Spire last night. Superb on all levels. Well worth the drive through the tunnel and will be returning without question. To start I had the prawns and squid (didn't want to come to the end of it) followed by Goosnargh chicken...succulent and packed with flavour.
