Seriously... We need to talk. I called the other day to reserve a table and you didn't pick up. So in a panic, I drove down to see what was going on .... You're closed ?!?!?!? Can you please shed some light on what's going on ... You can't leave us in the dark like this Spicy. Nothing compares. The other day, I was forced into trying a new Korean BBQ. And I'll be honest ... I thought of you the whole time. I need you. No one has the time to drive down to New Malden to get a fix. It's just unrealistic. Please enlighten us all with when/if you're returning ...

Couldn’t care less if they had a 1 star hygiene rating tbh their doenjang jjigae is worth dying for

A highlight - Raw beef bibimbap was off the menu so I became a bit suspicious. I looked up the Government food hygeine rating and was shocked to find out it was 1 out of 5. This is close to being closed down completely for poor hygeine, if not remedied quickly. If i had known this before I had sat down and ordered I wouldn't have eaten here, I would have left. The only plus the staff were friendly and attentive.

Overall wasn't too bad for my first visit. Local Korean families eat here so it must be good. Service was respectful. Menu was easy to navigate though slightly small in print, a larger print would be more convenient to read. Food tastes just as good as it looks. Price was reasonable for what we ate for 4 people. Ordered the BBQ meat and seafood with 2 soups spicy and non spicy, and fried chicken. So much food and we were stuffed. Definitely worth a visit and definitely will return.

Best Korean grill in north London!

Great food and great prices, for 2023. Seafood pancake was amazing and crispy.

Sweet& Sour Pork was SUPERB!! Dolsot Bibimbap with spicy pork was yum too:) Authentic Korean food for sure.

One of my fav Korean places. I go to restaurants in New Malden which is known for being a little Korea town but the bibimbap here is always the best!! One of my favourite to eat here and the Naengmyeon (spicy!). The BBQ meats are pretty much the same as what you get in other places but defo worth getting the BBQ sets. 10/10 (recommend booking for dinner or booking on weekends as they are usually busy). Parking is available in some spots outside where you can pay to park for 2 hours (mostly permit only) OR free after 6 or 6:30pm (double check on google maps though).

I visited this place based on a friend's recommendation, and it turned out to be a great decision. The staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy. I tried a few dishes, and each one left a lasting impression. I'll definitely be returning here.

Think of perfectly crispy chicken wings glassed with superb Korean sauce without being soggy at the same time - SUPERB. Spicy rice cake , powerful, Jab Chae one of the best, Chicken bulgogi flavorful. Good value for money tasty plates. Each with a different flavour. Very polite service by staff. Good value. Simple deco. Shop targeting taste and value. One of the best Korean restaurants in London. Offers barbecue on tables. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic meal, got the BBQ set 2 and everything was amazing. Left feeling comfortably full and would absolutely return again. Staff were attentive without hovering, bathrooms were immaculate, and the entire restaurant was very clean. I even saw one staff member just wipe the floor because it felt a little sticky under their shoe. This was actually my first Korean BBQ experience and it was wonderful, would absolutely return again!

I have visited this restaurant a few times since discovering it back in 2020 (I'd visit it more often if I weren't living so far from London). Compared to many Korean restaurants in central London this place is much cheaper and the quality of food is just as good. My favourite dishes here are the Tofu stew, Kimchi pajeon and the chicken wings. The bbq is also great! Always received very welcoming and kind service from the staff. ❤️

The grilling of my meat and chicken by myself was the exciting part. The waiters were fantastic and waiting time to be served was very short. I recommend it for everyone. Its best for small group of people due to limited space

Absolutely love this place. A very reasonable place to eat. Really lovely staff, very clean and superb service.

Ordered food and received it with an item missing. Spoke to the Rushdi at the restaurant and he was very unhelpful and told me to take it up with Uber Eats which I found ridiculous considering they are who packed the food, so they should take responsibility. I have taken it up with Uber Eats and waiting on a response however we have just come back from holiday and now food in the house. Just spent over £60 with food missing. Not impressed!!!! No customer service from the people working there!!

The food is okay but a little overpriced. The service at times is a little disorganised which leads to lack of attention when you finish a drink or need extra utensils. Atmosphere is good but I would have liked a little more attention to the fact the grill we were using became dirty and it was not offered to be changed.

Wouldn't go there. Absolutely tasteless bibimbap. And other food as well. Portions are big though. There is a way better place near a tube station. Will not here again.

I had such high hopes for my visit here based on recommendations but from what I can gather things have slipped recently. It took 25 minutes for us to be served even though there were only a few people in the restaurant. We were surrounded by tables that had yet to be cleaned and there was cutlery missing from the centre of the table. Our drinks order was forgotten about, and one of our party waited significantly longer for his meal. The food was good, but I wouldn't be rushing back anytime soon

Its the 3rd time we ate at the spicy grill. Each time we enjoyed the food and the price is reasonable. Staff are friendly and quick to serve! My family and i will comeback again!

Best Korean cuisine in town ever, the BBQ set is always good and the portion is perfect for 2 meateaters! Deep-fried chicken is always good and comes with 2 free soft drinks, what a deal! Staff are always nice, though they are always busy to serve in real time, have to wait for at least 15 minutes to be served but worth it.

Great place for family and friends!

Having been once before and enjoyed the meat dishes, I thought to try the vegetables dishes and one King Prawn dish which sounded most tempting. I was served 2 skinny King Prawns (very stingy) on the side of a bowl of average noodle soup, and the vegetable dishes were very average. I'll be going elsewhere in future.

LOVED the food, the vibe, and the staff!

I had my birthday meal here despite being my first visit and so glad I chose this restaurant. The food was delicious and very authentic Korean flavours having ordered the mixed BBQ, Kimchi and starters. Great friendly service and such a fantastic find.

Best bibimbap I ever had! It's my favourite Korean restaurant, I've tried many other places around London but I always come back here. The service is very fast and super friendly.

A casual Korean Restaurant. I am impressed with their BBQ menus and Korean Chicken (Ban Ban Chicken, which means half (original) and half (sauced) chicken, is particularly good. Very friendly staff. Jjajang and Jjambbong noodle is not the authentic Korean noodle, hence, a bit disappointed, but Tangsooyuk (deep fried pork with sweet amd sour sauce) is brilliant.

Got there for 2 but was told they close the kitchen at 2 and the place by 3!! Thankfully my husband was already there before us and was able to order through him! So it wasn’t relaxed at all! So stressful it was all rushed. They don’t mention it when we call prior to visiting either

A great local restaurant with a huge variety of options from mains / sides / starters & BBQ. We opted to go for one of the BBQ set menus & a side of veg noodle soup. Portions are very generous and the beef was marinated very well & tasted exceptionally nice!! Service is very efficient & fast. It does get slightly busy especially during usual dinner times. Definitely recommending this place!!!!

Amazing. Went next door for curry rice nan bread and a pint was nice cost£30 went spicey grill got same meal without pint £11 food was 1 of the best currys I've had if you like lamb try the lamb curry really really nice

I've been going to this restaurant for 6 years, not as it used to be, food is alot more expensive, understandable, service could be alot better, staff need motivation, could be alot cleaner...hope they will improve...

The most authentic korean restaurant I’ve been!!! Superb service!

First time having KBBQ in London and couldn’t have went to a better restaurant! We ordered the BBQ 5 House Special which included the meats to grill and a choice of bibimbap. You can also ask them to change the grill plate when needed. We also ordered a mul nenmyun which blew my mind. Though it was a cold dish and I’d never tried before, I didn’t know what to expect but the flavors were great. The seafood soondubu jiigae was amazing, also came with a small side of plain rice. The tofu was was so smooth and melts in your mouth! The fried chicken was the absolute star of the evening. We ordered a full se and got half spicy and half soy sauce which also came with your choice of 2x soft drinks. I was expecting it to be really spicy but it was a tolerable amount of spice for me. It was nice & crispy and I can honestly say it’s the best Korean fried chicken I’ve had so far! They also give you complimentary sauces, side salads (the sauce for the salad was the best part for me 😂) and wraps for your bbq meat). Service was great and the server was patient with us when we were still making last minute decisions! Each person ended up paying around £25 which I think it’s pretty decent. It definitely does fill you up!

A lovely first time experience of Korean BBQ. The waiter was very helpful, explaining everything to us and was very hospitable. The food was lovely and it was fun to be involved in the cooking process. Definitely recommended.

Food is okay, I can't say it is super good though. It's not that pricy considering other korean restaurants and the iranian woman who served us was super supportive and friendly.

I can honestly say this is the best tasting food I have eaten in a long time. The Korean chicken wings are fantastic. I also had the seafood soup so much flavour. The spicy pork belly and beef on the grill was excellent. The service was 1st class. Once we started cooking the meats on the grill the waitress was straight over asking if we wanted more meat. So by the time that was cooked the next load was waiting. The beer was served freely everytime are glass was empty they asked if we wanted more. I'm looking forward to going back here again very soon

The food arrives relatively quickly. For the kbbq, you need to cook the meat yourself, and they give you an assortment of dips/sauces you can use for the meat. The bibimbap comes in a hot stone bowl and the ingredients taste fresh. I come here often, would recommend as a good kbbq in london.

The food was tasty, nice portions. The place is clean but the smell inside was smoky. Understandable as customers can grilled meat on their tables inside the restaurant.

Hadn’t booked but did us a favour of giving us a table by the door telling us all other tables were reserved. However 2 more couples came in after us with no reservations and were given tables away from the draughty entrance. Had we not been in a hurry we would have gone elsewhere and I wish we had as the food was awful. The chicken Katsu curry was cheap chewy and the sauce was a mass of gloopy lumps, they bought this out whilst we were still drinking our soup. We also ordered tempura veg that we had to keep asking for they bought it out eventually when we were ready to leave. We sent it back as it look revolting. We then paid our bill quickly and left. Will most definitely not be returning. If I could have given no stars I would have done.

Good menu selection, Great stuff and beautifully service.

Had spicy pork bibimbap and it was good. There was good amount of the meat which was well seasoned and cooked. Note- it normally comes with raw egg yolk but i opted out. There was plenty of empty spaces even though we came on Sunday afternoon, the staff was nice, had good relaxing time, overall a good place to visit.

Been coming here for years, the food is very tasty and good portions so it is excellent value for money. Favourites are bimbimbap and budae jjigae

Self grill korean BBQ with many other dishes on the menu. This is a great place for small gatherings, eating food, and drinking with others. There is something for everyone here.

8/10/22 Visited again with a group of friends, ordered the mixed fried chicken, yummy. Everything else was lovely too especially the tartar beef with shredded pear. Tasty food, good service & attentive staff. Will go and visit again...and take along more friends! This time, there were 6 of us. Wide range of dishes, lots of choices. Always get 3 different dipping sauces and a side. You can always order more. We always get the BBQ grill...with sides, wrap the meat up with the lettuce and choice of yummy dips... Not sure if thr toilets are disabled access, think there's some steps. We always enjoy it here, lovely meal and good selection of dishes. Thank yoy guys. Maybe don't offer polos after the meal.

We went to this novel Korean restaurant on impulse. Interestingly, the entire restaurant was occupied by apparent Koreans except for the staff !! My dish was served in a hot iron pot the idea being that the food, rice vegetables and chicken would be roasted hot. However the chicken was cold and obviously pre-cooked and taken from the freezer and vegetables were not fresh either. The waitress took the hot pot and contents back for reheating. Unfortunately , by this time the rice at the bottom of the hot iron bowl had dried rock hard and I broke my filling which now needs an expensive trip to the dentist. My wife had a cardboard box of rice, vegetables and again precooked deep fried breaded chicken which she left. The waitress removed the charge my meal as a gesture. I should have noticed that none of the Koreans eating at the other tables had chosen our meals. Avoid !!!

Amazing food at reasonable price points. The wait for the food took quite a while but was definitely worth the wait! As a loyal customer, I highly recommend this place.

Place is understaffed so service was slow, had to wait half an hour for drinks. The food however was 10/10 which made up for the slow service - the place is full of korean people so you know its good.

Great place to eat, everyone should try it.

The meal was overall good. The reason we came here was the BBQ, which unfortunately let me a bit down... especially for the tongue, which was not as tasty as it was abundant (quantity over quality?). The fried chicken was good, but the noodles I had (jajangmyeong) were a bit overcooked for my tastes. Considering that we also had beers and soju (Korean traditional alcohol) the price was fair!

Don't be fooled by the outside... This is gorgeous Korean food. Great service and a nice pint of Asahi.. Not sure what a Korean BBQ is... But I got gorgeous sizzling platter prawns, no sauce or strong seasoning with some sautéed onion.. Would definitely eat here again 9/10

I been few times here and I can say food and staff are rly good. On the "bad" side I can say that prices are a bit spice for me 😁 and the chopsticks are more difficult to use then usual ones.

Come here for kbbq all the time, the chicken wings and the bbq beef platter never disappoint. I've yet to find a better kbbq in london for such a good price.

Yeah nice Korean BBQ, very decent prices and food quality. Service could be a bit less cold. Also Korean fried chicken disappointing as it was only wings and drumsticks and not the usual cut up half chicken you usually get at Korean restaurants. Although the batter and the sauce were really good

The taste is ok for European customers , if you are looking for real korean taste,this is not the right place.

Food is really authentic and delicious - only thing is that I would not recommend the “ox bone” soup because you don’t get ox bone but you get beef strips with soup cooked with ox broth.. beef ribs soup is really flavourful Kbbq was really good here too!

Space is limited for a buggy let alone the high chairs! 1 high chair doesn't have straps and the other one could be in use so you're stuck using that one, rather silly. The high chair doesn't fit nicely into the table so it becomes a hassle when the servers are trying to go around the chair esp when space is limited as it. Food was good so would go again but without my little one.

I ordered Tteok-bokki and it wasn't great. Didn't have much flavour and they didn't add an egg. Will not buy again sorry

I really like Asian cuisine so the Spicy Grill it's a good place to try it. They are very polite and educated with the customers and the food it's also very good!

Would definitely visit here again, and have already planned to with wider family. We ordered the Korean BBQ, a selection of wings (spicy and soy) and a selection of bibimbap (beef, kimchi beef and kimchi pork). All were absolutely lovely. The Korean BBQ is served with a variety of meat (belly pork, steak, chicken and beef) and a small selection of veg (onion, mushroom and another veg (can't recall), that you grill yourself (grill is perfectly hidden within the centre of the table), and an assortment of side dishes of kimchi, spring onion kimchi, radish, and sauces. The wings are perfectly crunchy and glazed over with sauces. The bibimbaps - delicious. They were all served in a stone bowl, and kept our bibimbaps piping hot for ages! Pretty ironic because we were enjoying it so much, but you couldn't really eat it because every mouthful was steaming hot - which was not a bad thing! As a family, we ordered way too much, which was not a problem as we were able to take it away to enjoy at home!

Absolutely amazing Korean BBQ experience - my friend and I really wanted to try some authentic Korean BBQ for the first time and we were so happy to find Spicy Grill in Golders Green where you can cook your own food at the table on the grill provided (as they do in South Korea) We ordered the Mix BBQ Special which included delicious thin beef strips on the bone, pork belly, marinated chicken and a selection of mixed vegetables including mushrooms, sweet potato and onion all served with boiled rice and 4 dipping sauces.....so fun to cook the food and the atmosphere is really lively. We also decided to try the sides of vegetable Mandu dumplings (like veggie gyoza) crispy and delicious filled with diced veggies and also the Soya Crispy Fried Chicken - my favourite dish of the evening by far...proper "Umami" flavour which we devoured very quickly! For dessert we had the chocolate and mango mochi with vanilla ice-cream and shared a pot of Korean Tea (very interesting aroma of toasted rice) Overall a fantastic experience - delicious food, super friendly service, great fun and very reasonable prices Highly recommended 10/10 we will definitely be coming back very soon!

Wonderful Korean restaurant, great quality ingredients, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. We ordered BBQ set menu, a hot pot and fried chicken which was enough for us to share, it felt like the authentic experience - if you're a fan of Korean dramas on Netflix you won't be disappointed! A few doors away is a Korean convenience store where some Japanese products also available.

Very good Korean BBQ! The best one I’ve tried so far. Everyone recommends it and once you try it, it makes sense! Great flavours and the price is very reasonable! Your paying half of what you spend going to central London and it’s way more authentic!

Great Korean restaurant in Golders Green! They offer classic Korean dishes like japchae, bibimbap, Korean fried chicken and of course KBBQ. Everything was delicious (so much so that I forgot to take pictures)! I liked the fact they provided the option to cook the BBQ items in the kitchen rather than on the grill so if you don't want to do it yourself they can do it for you. Staff were very friendly and attentive, and I appreciate them accommodating our group as we had to add a seat last minute, but they were lovely about it. Giving 4 stars because the only downside was the lack of ventilation for the KBBQ as we did it ourselves and it got quite smoky in the restaurant as other people were also DIYing.

Chicken wings are so good! Really authentic and good portion sizes - I'd love more but that's not their fault! Bulgogi had a lovely flavour. Well priced. Nothing to complain about and lovely staff too!
