Spice:UK in Powys

Had a takeaway for three using an old menu. Supposed to be 10% off but when checked against the new menu there was no reduction. Not as much meat as if we had sat in the restaurant and £4.10 for cauliflower bhajee was excessive. Never again.

I know it’s New Year’s Eve and I appreciate your busy but when I phoned through for a takeout told it will be 45 minutes. I was told to take a seat as it wouldn’t be long only to wait a further 1 hour and 15 minutes taking to others sitting inside they too had been waiting just as long.staff still taking telephone orders telling them it’s only a hour wait.Also as for social distancing let’s see how many we can get around the counter

Food was absolutely delicious so it's such a shame to leave a bad review...but felt so unsafe at this restaurant. There is no track and trace , no QR code to scan. There is one hand gel sanitiser dispenser by the door but this does not work. Customers walking around and shown to tables without wearing masks. Staff wearing masks halfway down their faces. Definitely will not be returning.

Great restaurant, lovely folks running it and working there. My daughter and I are both vegan but it didn’t faze them at all. They went out of their way to prepare and serve food we were able to eat.Service was absolutely first class too. This is how to run a restaurant.We have been going here for nearly 18 years and it has always been superb. We will be back there again soon. Thank you all.

Ripped off.... drinks ordered were 1 bottle of beer and a medium glass of wine - charged £11.95. Questioned it when paying, was told it was correct, there was a que of people so I paid up . I don't like being ripped off, so got home and checked their website drinks price list to find that they should have charged £3 less. emailed them no response, phoned then at 2 weeks later and at almost 3 weeks they emailed me back to say that the price was correct, and it was a large glass of wine - it wasn't and nor did we order that. Service was also lousy, 3 times they tried to deliver other peoples drinks to our table, gave me the wrong starter too. It was £55 for 2 drinks and very small portions. Won't be going back, go to Spice Fusion instead, cheaper and better service.

Turned up in Welshpool on a rainy evening with no idea of what was open or where to go. Just did not expect to find a restaurant of this calibre here. The menu was far more varied than most Indian restaurants I've been to, and the flavours were wonderful. Too many Indian restaurants now seem to serve up loads of sweet sauces with the occasional lump of meat or vegetable, while my meal here was full of, well, food! The price was very reasonable and the service great - one of the waiters even spoke some Welsh to me! Diolch. That meant a lot.

It wasn’t until I got home and my wife asked how ho much the meal was that we realised it wasn’t right it should have been £50 without the 10% off but he charged £60 as others have said they add vat on top which is not right. I wouldn’t have minded if the food was amazing but it was awful thick doey nan breads,soft popadoms, soggy chips, tiny over microwaved chicken tikka starters and the chicken in the curry’s was chewy. If you’ve got loads of money and enjoy sh1t food fill your boots if not go to spice fusion it’s the best one in town or pop to the raj in forden bar far best around.

Visited Spice Uk last night. Food was excellent as was the service. Will definitely be returning. The restaurant managed the new COVID 19 regulations seamlessly. Our experience here was not devalued in any way by these new regulations.

Had a take away tonight. Lovely and loads of food. We had chicken korma and veg fried rice. We will be back.

On route from Barmouth we stopped for a quick munch, due to the Covid pandemic and rules being different in Wales the restaurant was closed off but the takeaway section was open, never the less the waiter was absolutely phenomenal with his service and the cheff him self came out to say hello.The chicken tikka biryani was the best biryani the fragrance, the potion, the texture, the taste was tantalising!You can't beat the Bangladeshis when it comes to food and hospitality. Thank you verry much. Great experience and definitely recommended.

We have used Spice UK several times since moving to the area in Oct 18 - in its own right this tells that the curry here is fairly good. I am writing this review today, however, because the restaurant has let me down a little this evening, on 2 counts: firstly, they charged me significantly more than my order totalled with their prices from their website, and when challenged on this they didn't honour their online pricing. Secondly, they have changed some of their dishes, and not to the better; my favourite Chicken Makhani now is no longer topped with lashings of double cream but instead has a single slice of 'plastic' burger cheese - not good. Overall, their dishes are still ok, but with increased pricing and less appetizing dishes, my overall rating has dropped to 'Average'.

Cold upon arrival. Admittedly it had just opened for the day but you would think the heating would be on in advance of opening for paying customers.On reviewing the Menu it was commented between ourselves about the high prices.Food was less than average. Chicken Tikka was dry. Chicken Tikka Biriani was ordered for my main. Might be wrong but it looked to me that it had just been reheated in a microwave! Very dry meat in it as well.Overall unimpressed with the food but then the shock was with the bill.10 % added to the final bill for VAT ! This wasn’t noticed before ordering on the menu. On questioning it with the waiter, I was told this had been done for over 11 years he had been there ! It’s a new one on me that eating in 10% VAT is added on to the final bill. Normally VAT is included in the price. I was also under the impression VAT is at 20% ? No VAT number available as well ?Shall not return.

We enjoyed a fantastic evening at Spice UK. It was the best Indian food I have ever had. Friendly and attentive staff and a super atmosphere.

We've eaten here twice and used their takeaway service also. Decent food every time, though I don't recall any real 'wow factor'. Perfectly adequate overall.

We regularly come to Spice UK. The staff is friendly and always makes us feel welcome. The food is delicious. If asked, the manager will even make suggestions on dishes and ask the chef to adjust spices for us. We have experienced some truly great taste experiences because we have asked him about specialities of the restaurant. The menu is quite varied with something for most people. I

Ordered and waited. We were given extra popadoms and sauces. Food was good and hot and very tasty. CT Ceylon was great flavour, veg dishes also good. Naan fresh and fluffy. Staff very polite and friendly. Good experience overall.

Called in for a simple takeaway meal . Chicken was salty & tasteless, as was the balti curry sauce. Garlic Nan was green & soggy.

Absolutely amazing curry tonight. Food was excellent and good value for money. Our waiter, Alom, was so friendly and happy, and handled our dietary requirements thoroughly and professionally. One of the best curries we have had for a long time. Thank you!

We booked a table for 7pm for 14 people, 11 of who are severely sight impaired.The restaurant was busy, and 4 people took a table to the side of us.It took a while to get our starters, but it was 9pm before we were served our main course. By which time the table for 4 had finished their meal and left. 4 of us complained that the chicken in our meal was tough and dry and the korma source was very weak. The bill came in at £329, so we asked for a discount due to the poor service and poor meals.After some time £14 had been taken off the bill.We certainly won't be going there again, and wouldn't recommend it.

Me and my husband have been eating here on and off for 7 years when we stay in Powys. We went on a Monday evening and took our little boy this time. The staff are always friendly and helpful and they made sure we were happy with our food and entertained our little boy-our waiter provided a high chair and a meal for him to enjoy. Every time we visit the food is the brilliant and the best curry we’ve had! The bar man recognised us from our previous visits even tho they’re months in between each other and offered us a drink and a lollipop for my son free of charge. We will definitely be returning next time we’re in the area.

Went here after reading reviews on TA. Good choice on menu. Just had poppadoms and chutneys for starter and two main courses, 1 side dish and 1 rice and 1 naan bread. No alcoholic drinks just 2 halves of coke. Asked waiter to ask the chef to make one of the mains (a vegetable Madras) with a little less oil. Big mistake. When it arrived there was about an inch of oil covering the dish. Even the waiter said " still oily" smiled and walked off. It was greasy tasteless rubbish. Other dish was ok but nothing special. And the experience cost just under £40. Would not go again.

Great menu. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is very tasty and good quality. You even get a free Tia Maria at the end of the meal if you are lucky! We have taken family and friends here on a number of occasions when they visit us, it is our go to Welshpool restaurant and has never disappointed. I am gluten free and the menu is well marked with allergens.

We had a very good meal at a reasonable price. It was a quiet night and the background Indian music was non-intrusive. The staff were friendly and gave a very good service

Visited this restaurant to order take away food not only is it very expensive and they don't take off the 10% they say they will they also take over an hour to produce the food absolutely wont be going back

My colleagues and I booked a table at Spice UK so we could meet for a meal after work as it was one of their birthdays. We booked a table for 18 people but unfortunately a few people dropped out - this was not a problem for the restaurant. They soon sorted the tables out for us! The service was very quick and the food tasted great. There were 11 of us eating and we all very much enjoyed our meals. To add to the great service, the waiters prepared a pudding with a candle in it for my colleague's birthday even though none of us had ordered sweets. We really appreciated the effort! Thank you to all staff for a brilliant night!

We ate here regularly when we lived in Welshpool a number of years ago and were always delighted with our welcome and the quality and range of meals available. Ten years after we last ate there, we visited last weekend and were greeted like long lost friends. Never had a bad experience, never had a bad meal and in fact they make the best chicken tikka garlic I’ve ever had.

Went for works meal. Food really nice but felt like we were getting rushed to eat and the room was really hot

Enjoyed the meal although it seemed expensive compared to the last few indiam meals I've had but was really shocked when the bill came when we queried it they said vat was added but the receipt did not have a vat number and it was not made clear that vat would be added so we felt thoroughly ripped off. If you charge vat receipts should have the vat number on something really dodgy here.

Had 2 meals from here one each for the wife and myself, can’t remember the names I like to to try new whenever I can, what I do remember is that we both enjoyed our meals and there is no one more critical than my missus.

My favourite curry house ever, but a 20% increase on the takeaway menu means it's just expensive now! Literally 2 poppadoms, 2 curries, 2 rice and a Naan bread is £29.45! We can sit down at a good local pub with a quality main and a couple of drinks for the same price. Gutted I won't be back :(

In short an absolutely delicious selection of Indian food for a party of 9 on Christmas Eve. We all commented on the flavours, sauces and particularly the quality of the chicken - 5*

We went on a friday nighg it was pretty busy when we arrived and it wasnt a problem. We were sat down. Drink orders taken wih on a coupld of minutes. The staff were friendly the resteraunt is spotless. The food was pretty quick considering how busy it was. When it turned up it was superb. Myself and my friends loved it and will return time again! Best in town by a good margin!

I went here with my partner and sister in law for tea one evening last month. We were told we weren’t allowed 2 popadoms for my partners 2 year old nephew. The mains were very tasty but came out wrong to what we’d ordered. And when we asked for a desert menu the man stood there awkwardly waiting for us to choose what we wanted and then tried to tell us what we wanted. When they came out they were awful. I ended up with a frozen cheese cake and my partners ice cream was as if it had been defrosted and re frozen. When it came to the bill my partner paid and took a photo of the bill so they could split it later and it didn’t add up. There was an extra main meal on there. My family have had take aways from here several times in the past. This won’t be the case in future.

We haven't been for a while but still amazing food and service. Have missed coming here. The staff are so helpful and can't do enough for you. Recommended.

Service is excellent, food is tasty and reasonable price. Lahori chicken is my favorite. I go with a couple of friends sporadically when they are around. We always have a damn good meal!

Had a great takeaway from here, ready when they said it would be & very tasty. Probably a little spicier than a usual Dhansak but I can live with that!

Asked for recommendation for mild curry, he asked what I like and he said he would have something perfect. I was very impressed, chicken tikka, with spinach, whole garlic cloves in a mild sauce, gorgeous.

My wife and I have been coming here for a few months now as we have a holiday home nearby. So glad we did as the food and service is superb.

In Welshpool centre, 3 min from town hall/Royal Oak hotel, tasty spicy food, nice décor, great attentive service. Ask for staff special, not on the menu, not very hot but very spicy, almost "Bhuna" type curry with meat or chicken on the bone and spinach - Mixed starter a little bland but meaty seek kebab.

It was horrible, overpriced and just horrible!!! Service was atrocious and they charged me extra as I got the bill! NEVER COMING BACK!!!

first time I have been to this restaurant, but was told it was very nice so decided to give it a go, and was not disappointed. Food was very nice , service was good too. We were the only people in the restaurant when we started eating so it was very quiet considering it was a Saturday, should have maybe passed on the starter as it was a bit too much to eat with the main course in the end, but we took the rest home with us in the end (even managed a small dessert). very pleased will go back.

Meal was ok but not brilliant. Then I queried that the bill didn't quite add up and was told its because they add VAT and was then shown the very small line at the bottom of the menu that said VAT not included! How many restaurants show the prices without VAT? Is it even legal?? It made a dear Indian into a very expensive one, needless to say I won't be fooled by them again!!

Well after living away for 22 yrs. An now being 3 Indian takeaways in town. I tried one an wasn’t keen. So this time tried this one. Ordered a keema pula rice, chicken madras and keema nan. Was also served 3 sauces to go with the free popadom. All for £12. I’ve found the best Indian in town for sure. Will be back.

Comfortable seating, lovely food and staff. We thought both food and drink were reasonably priced, but the staff made the night, they treated the grandchildren like royalty, laughs and joke's, and lost count of the number of chocolates they were given, and after the food,adults were treated to a bottle of Tia Maria placed on the table, and a glass for all,no restrictions on how many tots we had.

Called in with a few work colleagues on a recent visit to Welshpool. On arrival the restaurant was reasonably busy but we had no problem in gett a table. Our order was taken promptly and after a bit of a wait (which we didn't mind) the food arrived. It was flavoursome with decent sized portions.

Food better than the outside of the restaurant would lead you to believe. Nothing to complain about the food, but nothing exceptional either - just standard Indian fare. Staff very helpful and service good. Was very busy the night we went but no delays on service. Tables for 4 seems slightly small (although I do need to go on a diet)

We eat in Spice UK regularly. My spouse often gets the Chicken Pathia and I get the Dansak. Both are delicious. We recently tried one of the house specialties and found that also to be very good. All the staff there are friendly and helpful. They really make us feel welcome.

This place is wonderful! Food is fantastic and there is something for everyone; including English dishes! Wait staff is pleasant and extremely knowledgable which helps if you do not know much about Indian cuisine. The portions are large, sauces are incredibly flavorful. Definitely recommend going!

I thought I'd give this restaurant a try because I've been disappointed with the Indian cuisine in the surrounding area. On the both occasions I've visited the food has been first class. I highly recommend you try it out.

No nos decepcionó. La comida era interesante, con una buena mezcla de especias, y un montón de opciones que tiene algo para todo el mundo. El servicio era excelente. No pudimos encontrar ningún fallo con este restaurante. Hemos tenido que conducir a Fairbourne para una comida decente indio (Indiana), pero este está más cerca, a sólo 45 minutos! Volveremos.

Fuimos el sábado por la noche - grupo de diez. El servicio era un poco lento, pero lo hicieron con buen humor y era muy amable, así que no era un problema. La comida era muy buena, todo el mundo disfrutó de lo que tenía y estaba caliente. Sólo pedimos refrescos y me sorprendió gratamente que la ley sólo vino a £175 para los diez de nosotros.

Went here a few weeks ago with some friends. We had a great night. The food was fabulous, among the very best curry houses we have been to. The service was great, not over attentive which can be a pain but there when we needed them. Very helpful but not pushy. We will meet up again there when we are all in the area.

My brother and I had visited this place previously, and enjoyed an excellent curry here. It came as a surprise to experience the rather naive service on this occasion, which gave the impression of inexperienced waiters and possibly new mangement."Two pappadoms? Is that two? One each? House wine? Sorry, house wine not available......"I queried the bill, which was in excess of the sum of the items on the meny. I was informed that that was because - "unlike many of our competitors" - we charge VAT (!!)I paid up, but still have the impression that something is not quite right.Having said that, the Chicken Dansak was excellent!

Have eaten in here and although not much atmosphere the food was enjoyable. Had a take away a few weeks after and overcharged, queried and given a few pounds back, but on checking afterwards still overcharged. Food not quite the right order and one main course far too sweet. Gave them another chance and knew how much the bill should be prior to collecting. Guess what overcharged by £6 and no 10% discount for takeaways as advertised in big letters on the window. Queried and told discount no longer applies to takeaways, they did re-check addition and put it down to human error. With hindsight should have just walked out and left them with the food. Food order wrong again and good not as hot as could be and really greasy. You have been warned!

Had a take away tonight. Food was cold. I asked for egg fried rice and they give me some other rice.... we use spice UK all the time aswell. Not good. Not happy when I got home expecting a nice takeaway after a busy day at work and it comes out cold.

Have had better meals here. Unfortunately my latest experience left much wanting. On reflection I found the price for the meal on the high side. The lamb passanda was poor, meat dry and tough and the sauce somewhat tasteless. The accompanying rice was a mix of loose yellow and solid lumps of white rice. My wife was equally underwhelmed with a sloppy watery biryani sauce.LikeIt is probably time for management to take a closer look at what they are serving up...!

I visited Spice UK with work colleagues and had a fantastic evening. The Mixed Starter was delisious and my main of Chicken Tikka Ceylon, Pilau Rice and Keema Nan was very tasty. The curry was exactly as described (one of the spicy, tangy dishes available on the menu). As for the drinks, Cobra was the lager available, but was only available in 660ml bottles and priced at £6+, which I thought was quite expensive in comparison to pubs in Welshpool, and is why it didn't get 5 stars. So in a nutshell, the food was great, the service was good, but the beers were expensive.

Have eaten here a few times and have found the food to be quite oily and the meat always very dry and tasteless. On one of the occasions I had the fish as a main and that was very nice. I most probably wouldn't eat here again by choice as I have had far better quality food elsewhere. On the plus side staff are friendly and courteous and the restaurant is clean.

Five of us went for an impromptu birthday dinner. My son decided on the venue. We arrived at 6.30pm and it wasn't busy so we were found a table quickly. The venue was clean and neat and very colourful but very hot so we turned the two radiators off which we were sitting by and felt more comfortable. We all had starters from simple poppodums to onion bhaji's and samosa's with delicious dips. Then on to the mains. I had to wait about 10 minutes for mine which meant my pilau rice and plain naan were cold by the time it arrived but that was the only issue of the evening. Big helpings also meant most of us couldn't finish it all but I think if we'd have asked they would have doggy bagged it for us. We were also impressed that you could take your own drinks which kept the cost down considerable. All in all a very pleasant evening.

The last two times we have ordered takeaway from here. The orders were taken over the phone and were informed that it would be ready to collect in around 30 minutes. On both occasions I have been to collect and have waited at least another 30 minutes or more on arrival. If food is going to take an hour to prepare then I would expect to be informed this information over the phone. Staff are very abrupt and need to learn some organisational skills. Always check your orders before you leave as I have gone away with an item missing. I will be going to Spice Fusion on Severn Street in future.

food too greasy , and prices absolutely ridiculous, staff just a little overbearing fancy names for what are well known run of the mill dishes

This is a very good restaurant and caters for all tastes in curries and Indian food. The sevice is very friendly and the food is very well presented, and the tastes of all the lovely spices is fantastic.

Dropped in on a Friday evening, hadnt booked but this wasnt a problem. Attentive and friendly waiters and an interesting menu. Our food was beautifully presented , hot and delicious. The saag aloo was probably the best we have ever eaten, so fresh and perfectly cooked. Had a nice complimentary liqueur on the way out. Great service and great food, couldnt fault it.

Extremely friendly staff and top notch food.We travel here most weekends and wanted to find a good indian restaurant. Spice uk was recommended to us by friends and it is easy to see why.if your choice of food isnt on the menu just ask nothing is to much trouble .

a place you only visit once. Only two tables with guests but still a unfriendly and awfully busy waiter.Ordered 3 mains but only got two. And in the end the bill eas incorrect! But since we only wanted to get out of there we checked that too late.And the "Mango Chutney" is a real experience!!

Good restaurant for Welshpool. Good service and prices ok though beer is pricy.Food hygiene rating of just 3 concerns me but tried not to think about it while I was there. All seemed fine and food good.

Pleasant evening, very courteous and attentive staff on what was a busy night. The food was good, with an extensive menu, but didn't have a wow factor. Good but not great.

Polite attentive staff but food was average. Well presented and hot but we found both meals quite greasy and lacked flavour. You can bring your own drinks which cuts down on cost which is good.

We were seated quickly but did struggle to get attention several times throughout the evening. The waiters are out of view of the tables unless the come to you. We had already agreed to eat when we saw the wine prices. A riocha was £29 and most others also very overpriced. The mint sauce with the popadoms was sweet and sickly yet not tasty. The butterfly king prawn was one single prawn, presumably flattened to make it look big, covered in packet style breadcrumbs and didn't taste of anything. Again exceptionally bad value. The mixed starter didn't seem very mixed and the main dishes were both bland. May I add I do normally appreciate delicate flavours but there was nothing to appreciate here. The korma reminded me of semolina in taste and texture whilst my husbands king prawn jalfrezi was also tasteless with the exception of two whole and very hot chillis that had not even been chopped. The garlic naan was nice but very small and would not even nearly fill a dinner plate. The pilau rice was also ok. The staff were pleasant but we were not asked once if the meal was okay nor did we see anyone else being asked.

We come once a month or so to eat in or take away.Always a good standard of food.Reasonably priced - what more could you want.You can also take your own drink.

WE have often eaten here as a group,i have to say the food is better than most, but can lack that little extra that just makes it so much better,, the staff are always polite, and helpful, the ambience, is pleasant and as you would expect, all though in places it is starting to have worn edges.

We eat here regularly and the service from the staff is always spot on with the owner / manager overseeing.This time however a couple of weeks back everyone had changed, we did not see the owner / manager was not there and we did not see one waiter we had seen before. The food was excellent as usual but the service and manner of the staff including the one who appeared to be in charge was very poor indeed with, at one point, coming across as very rude.I hope for the restaurants sake this was a temporary change in staff as it really took the edge off of what was an superb restaurant.

Typical wide-ranging menu but there seemed to be quite a few things not on the standard curry house menu.We had a range of dishes between 5 of us and all were rated very good

Ordered a few meals to take home to eat with the family as an anniversary special. It was all delicious! They gave extra food in for having a decent conversation with them. They actually cared enough to ask what spice level I'd want each curry at or if we would like anything adding. All the food was amazing. Portion size was great and it was brilliant for the price too. Definitely recommend!

Visited with friends on a Sunday evening for a birthday get-together. Food was very good, service excellent, prices reasonable and the friendly staff probably made the experience the success that it was, although that may have been down to the company!

As per previous reviews ask to see your bill & check for your 10% discount i will not be using this restaurant again

Nice authentic Indian Cuisine. Little expensive if I'm really honest and as stated in previous posts they miss to give 10% discount on takeaway.Food is all ways good though. Poppadoms are a bit hit & miss though.Worth a visit.

I have to agree with a earlier review about the missing 10% discount...having ordered a takeaway and adding up and taking off the 10% discount we should have paid £22 but were charged £25.50 so defiantly no discount...so now I need to visit trading standard

I went along with my friends to celebrate my friends birthday, we had a lovely meal and the staff couldn't have been any nicer and the food was lovely

Good , had a quick curry when working in the area. It wasn't anything special but worth a visit if your in the area. Seems clean and the staff are fine , helpful if not chatty. I'd go again

Me and my family ordered a takeaway from here last night. The staff all work very hard here to make sure that everyone is happy, my order was taken and was told it would be between 20 and 30 minutes. Upon my arrival back, my food was fetched for me straight away. Food was brilliant, we had ordered anything from currys, rice dishes, started, mains and naan breads.. We were given four free poppadoms and all the condiments and all reasonably priced too! Will be returning very soon!

We come here fairly often and always enjoy the food best Indian we have discovered in this part of Wales. It's always busy so it adds to the atmosphere. The only downside is that the dining room is a long thin room therefore the tables are close together.

Been here a few times recently and it's great service and tasty fresh food every time. I'd say it's the better of the 2 indians in town. I love the fact you can bring your own drinks as well but they also sell alcohol as well. It's nice for the choice to be there. Takeaways are good from here as well!

This is definitely the better Indian in Welshpool, the staff are all so welcoming and polite.The food is great, never had a problem.There's plenty of seating in the restaurant and the food's served on a mini hotplate so you food stays warm(really good idea!!)The pricing is good for what you get, i cant remember the last time i sat and ate in there so cannot say on that but takeaways for 2 of us are usually around £23 which i think is reasonable.

Have eaten here a number of times when travelling from Birmingham to Gwynedd. Always a friendly, courteous welcome. Good service with a wide range of soft and alcoholic drinks available, the Cobra lager always a favourite!! Typical range of Indian fare available, well presented, tasty and never too oily. The Madras and Vindaloo dishes have been firm favourites and are as hot and spicy as you would expect! Recently we have eaten dishes from the "chef's speciality" menu - fabulous! The prawn Murghi with chilies is great. Price-wise its good value and card payments are accepted. Welshpool's best Eastern/Asian food, recommended.

Had a takeaway on Friday night . Far better than other Indian restaurant locally as other one has a 1 star food hygiene rating . Food ok

Probably one of the best Indians we have ever eaten. The staff were courteous and helpful when helping us decide what we wanted to eat! The food was prompt, hot and extremely tasty. Would definitely recommend!

Not keen on Indian food to be honest but this is the first ever Indian restraint I have been to and managed to find so many curries I enjoy. The only place I can comfortably eat and enjoy my meal. The food is amazing and I'm always craving a curry after eating here!!

This Indian constantly serves well cooked food and this visit was no different. Went with a group of friends and all 6 of us had different dishes varying from medium to highly spiced. All dishes were delicious. I would highly recommend you give it a try. My only problem is mid week takeaways do not live up to the quality of eating in at the weekends.

restaurant and staff very good but cant help thinking the food we ordered was ready prepared as it was served as quick as it took for the chips to be cooked, we don't think it was freshly made as other restaurants as its usually about 30 minutes wait however the complimentary drink at the end of the meal was a nice touch, perhaps they could tell we were not too impressed !!!!!!

Very good food but they do like to rip you off. 10% discount on collection orders...When collecting my order and asking for the discount, it was refused, then the manager tried to lie and say it is VAT that is knocked off the bill.. which would be 20% not 10% on the front of the menu it states Vat included in all prices... still no discount after pointing this out...im sure many other have this same issue, false advertising is illegal and as been submitted to trading standards customer consumer act for review.

Excellent food, friendly staff and good customer service... i've been going to spice uk for many years and am always satisfied with how well they treat me and always enjoy the food

Having had a takeaway from here we decided to go for an inside sit down meal.From the greeting at the door we were treated like valued and wanted guests. The food was well presented and very tasty, Every dish was described to us by the waiter and presented with a flourish and pride, At no point did we feel rushed or pressurised into buying or deviating from our choice of food.Our waiter was discreet yet helpful and were going to be recommending this restaurant to our friends.
