Beautiful food, quick delivery. Ordered a selection of curries lamb and chicken , would definitely order again soon!

We order regularly from this restaurant and never have an issue. This time, however, our food was delivered an hour later than the latest approximated delivery time. We understand that delivery times might be longer on a weekend (which is when we ordered) but then the app should give a better estimation on delivery time! Please can Just Eat organise a refund. By the time we received our order we (and our children) were ready for bed and no longer hungry.

I ordered the chicken madras which is the only curry I have, but the madras tonight wasn’t nice at all it tasted different/weird than usual like powdery, bitter and salty. It tasted that bad we couldn’t even eat it but also the same thing with the pilau rice and it left us wondering if it was a different chef tonight. Very disappointing and we ended up cooking which was defeating the purpose.

Amazing food as always! Delivered on time and they even let me add on a couple of extra dishes last minute! What a lovely start to Ramadan! 🤲🏽

Food was good, service was a shambles. Rang up regarding a question, absolutely woeful attitude (which judging by other reviews, is a regular occurrence) Won’t be ordering again.

Food always 10/10 but they lie about how long it’s going to take. Annoyingly they put 15mins but took 2 hours 45 to arrive. Every time you ring them they change the story. Just be honest.

App said 50 mins wait so ordered and then it said an hour and quarter. After an hour the app said enjoy your food but we hadn’t had it. Rang up and they said it will be leaving the kitchen in 5 mins, 20 mins later still no food (we live about 5 min car ride away) Rang again, said Oh the food left 60s seconds go! Food order took over 2 and quarter hours to arrive from the time of ordering. Shocking service and no apology when phoning. Wont be using them again.

The best food, it is always delicious, fresh and delivered quickly. This is by far our favourite takeaway. The portions are generous and packed well. We are so pleased Spice delivers to our area because we are some miles away from them. Highly recommended and easily the best takeaway in Nottingham

Unfortunately although the food tasted lovely when it arrived it was warm at best and very late, dispute being told when I rang that it was “on its way”. Honesty is the best policy here and if I knew 15 mins late was actually going to turn into nearly an hour it would have been easier to digest!

Got take away. Arrived 25 minutes later than planned. Ironically bland for a place called Spice. Main was mostly sauce. Could have made better at home.

Cold and late! I was very unhappy due to the fact I called them when they were 10 minutes late and the person I was met on the phone by was passive and rude.

Took 1hr 53mins to be delivered. No paneer in the saag aloo paneer. Other food ok, expensive for what we got

meal has not arrived and when rang them at 20 past 8 was told that it would beanother half an hour. please note I am Deaf and struggle on the telephone. Also it said food delivered and to enjoy it? I haven't had this problem before so not very happy.

Don’t bother. Ordered at 7.15. Called at 8.30, was told half an hour. Called again at 9.20 was told half an hour. Guy turned up at 10.10! Told him to take it back and cancelled through Deliveroo. Appalling. Won’t be ordering again. I know you were busy but three hours is beyond a joke and then to lie about it is even worse.

Korai was mega spicy 🥵 don’t remember it being that intense, was always more about the flavour. Been a while since I had one so maybe the recipe changed. Quality was on point as usual though

Order was incredibly late and mediocre for the price, wouldn't strongly not recommend

We ordered a takeaway and the website confirmed and said it would be ready at roughly 20:50 . I looked at the tracking and it showed my order was out for delivery and then it was completed at 20:50 . At 21:15 I rang Spice to be told his brother had left 7 minutes earlier so it wouldn’t be long at 21:40 I rang again to see where the food was again to be told it was on its way . The food was eventually delivered at 21:50 with labels attached that were marked 21:41 clearly we had been lied to . I’m annoyed as they didn’t need to lie just tell us the truth you’re busy . We will never order from here again total shambles and food not the best unless you like cardboard for onion bhaji

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a takeaway as they're always disappointing. However, this was not. Absolute 10/10. The big cuts of chicken in the curry were amazing, aswell as the huge amount of cheese on the naan bread. Everything had such flavour. Very happy with the food and will 100% be ordering again

After an error ordering I called to explain my mistake, the gentleman I spoke to was considerate and understanding and resolved my problem without fuss. The quality of the food was excellent as always.

Late and order was wrong. Called to sort the issue and met with a dismissive attitude. Said they would sort it and sent the wrong item.. again. Wouldn't matter normally but they sent meat when we're veggies. Never again

The food at spice is always good and was good in this case, well Packaged and hot. The issue was the attitude of the manager which was defensive when I was chasing a missing item. I was perfectly reasonable. Everything was someone else’s fault. It was late, just Eats fault, items missing … just eats fault, . Accusing me of using the F word when I blatantly didn’t then put the phone down on me. Just eats fault. Hospitality is difficult enough, I get it, but I just want to be treated like a human being rather than being lied to and being called ‘boss’ or ‘my friend’. I’m not some pissed up Joe giving a restaurant aggro after the pub. I didn’t want the delivery driver coming back out to deliver one missing item anymore than they did but when you spend over £40 what can you do? Just Eat don’t help here and I imagine going straight to the restaurant would have been a different and better experience but I don’t order take aways as a rule and this one off and the issues just reminds me while I don’t more often. The whole experience is a shambles

The quality of the food which arrived was good as it always is with spice, it was just some of it was missing and the default defensive attitude of the restaurant make it really difficult to have a human conversation when things go wrong. Being accused of being aggressive or using the ‘F’ word when I blatantly didn’t, or being called ‘boss’ or ‘ my friend’ is just patronising. Then having the phone put down on me. Nice and hot (temperature) - often a failing of most takeaway deliveries. Tasted fresh and flavoursome.

Not ordered from Spice for a while but the service was exceptional. Customer service was great spoken to like they had known me for ages. The food was sensational I had the bhuna and it was excellent. Throughly enjoyed the meal would 100% recommend. Came in a box with the Spice name on it very well presented all dishes inside individually labeled. A 5* takeaway that I would definitely use again. Thank you for that experience. I don’t normally leave reviews but I was blown away by the service and quality of food simple as that

The meal was late due to weather conditions and where I live so I can't gold this against anyone. The driver was amazing, called when they knew they were going to be late and communicated very well through the process. Very polite as well- apologised even though it wasn't their fault. Food was epic as always, curry was smooth and addicting love the naan bread chewy. Loved it.

Always our go to takeaway for a delicious Indian meal. My son loves the tandoori king prawns especially. Last nights food was especially good.

We ordered at 8:45 and the food arrived at 11. That's 2hrs and 15 minutes, just eat said the order would arrive at 9:25 on the app but when we called the restaurant at 10 the guy said it was just eat that told us the wrong time like its acceptable to wait 2hrs and 15 minutes for 2 currys, a bit of rice and a nan that cost £47. Never again.

delayed by 60mins and then told it will be there shortly, 30mins later then told it's not left the restaurant yet, no resolve just told to fine contact just eat. told it's christmas and to busy on the 2nd of December??????????????

Always brilliant tasting food. They forgot my rice today, I called the restaurant and they were apologetic and sent the missing item in good time.

Several time had orders delayed. You call to query this - get told it's on it's way. Call back and it's still being made. Manager has no idea how to treat customers, happy to lie and blame the fact it's a busy weekend rather than address the fact they are not delivering what's promised. Just a really poor service to customers who have ordered from them for years.

Pre-ordered our meal for a particular time and arrived exactly on the hour. Perfect food.and cannot fault

It’s now 20:11 and food still not arrived . Supposed to arrive 19:00 to 19:20 . Rang restaurant twice and got told 2 different thing 1 said it was just leaving and when rang back 20 mins later said food was still there . If it’s cold when it gets here there will be more complaints.

It was very good but how do I get a complete receipt?

Honestly Spice was renowned for beautiful food currys always banging and could count on them although the last 2 orders ive had have been absolutely shocking and im just being honest people i have spoken to about have also said that they have gonbe downhill recently such a shame because they did use to be banging currys spent about 80quid for 3 people and honestly was so dissapointed

This has been an absolute nightmare which i would think quite the opposite from this place the food is decent but not amazing and especially the packaging is disgusting and i am utterly upset with how my food was delivered this has upset me and my family and has left my young ones to have not eaten and be hungry due to the mess we had to deal with. I won’t be ordering from this place as often as i am extremely upset with the service. I request a refund for my food as i my money has gone to waste

The order was 45 minutes later than the latter time suggested estimated time by the app of its arrival. When I contacted spice, they said it was the apps fault and they were too busy and had no control over the times stated but the app of the estimated time of arrival. Food was yummy when it did arrive.

The food arrived one hour and twenty minutes earlier than we had ordered it. I telephoned Spice and the man was very terse with me. No apology and he hung up on me whilst I was in mid-sentence. The second delivery arrived on time. However, the dishes had the wrong labels on them and the chicken dish was labelled as the vegetarian dish. Thankfully I recognised that they had got the incorrect labels on before eating them. The way I was dealt with is so contrary to when I have gone into the shop and ordered - they have always been polite to me. What a shame they treat customers in this way
