Christmas at the Spice Lounge as ever was excellent, Ali and his team looked after us tremendously, food as ever was excellent, service excellent , value excellent always a treat to eat here. Thanks Guys

Ordered from Spice Lounge for atleast 5/6years now possibly longer and there is nowhere else id rather go. I don’t think i have ever had an issue in all the years i have ordered, food always delivered piping hot, great value for money. No other indian I would rather order from.

I bought a Prawn takeaway from this restaurant. Sadly they didn’t include the Prawns. I called only to tell them. Sadly they were totally disinterested. I will never go again.

We had an impromptu meal with my StepSon, his partner & our 7 month old Grandson . From walking in to walking out the service from every member of staff was impeccable. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing with so much choice & the cost for 4 of us including starters, mains & drinks was just less than £100 the price did include Desserts or Coffee but we'd eaten so much we declined. We will DEFINITELY be back.

This used to be a really good restaurant, all I can say it's gone down hill the foods not the same been like this for months. You had to book now you just turn up that tells you everything.

Generally in the past has been good food, but a takeaway on Saturday was abysmal. Ended up in the bin. Waste of £25. One curry was watered down and had a plate of water with the curry tasting of nothing. the other was a Madras - but more like a Tindaloo !! Again, in the bin. Poppadums - weird smell and chewy - in the bin. wont be ordering again

Took 3 friends to Spice Lounge from Maltby,Sheffield and Leeds, they were all impressed with the value and quality, not a morsel left on any plate

Having booked a table for 7.30pm we were kept waiting by the door stands for 25mins given only a briefest of greetings… The restaurant was obviously busy so I exercised my patience and made no comment about the excessive wait. We were offered our starter within 10 mins The lamb starter we chose was dry and overcooked. Remarkably we then waited 1 hour 5mins for our mains to arrive.. The cod main was ‘stewed’ having obviously sat in a pot for hours and neither of us could find anything resembling cod.. The chicken tandoori was more edible although the salad that came out 5mins before was pitiful…. The owner gave no apology for the poor service or food.. As is their custom we were offered complimentary brandy’s but declined them.. The restaurant had spoilt our night..

Absolutely awesome, great food, great service, great atmosphere, certainly recommend this place. Try the madras rice, it's out of this world, both our meals were the best we've had for many years. Give this place a try

Best Indian in this town. Me and my lot have been to a few in the area and have been highly disappointed. This place however is a hidden gem. I don’t normally write reviews but when you return time after time for more than 10 years that speaks volumes. The food is amazing, the service is amazing.. the atmosphere is amazing. What more could you possibly want? Very very accommodating at the drop of an hat. I wouldn’t try anywhere else again because you can’t get perfection like this. Thank you all of you

1st time we have used this restaurant, I will never use another. Fresh and beautifully cooked. Flavours were spot on and delivered in a timely mannor, when dished up was still as fresh and hot as it was out the pan. Recommend.

I haven’t written a review on this place for quite a while , mainly because I couldn’t say much more than it’s the best Indian Restaurant in South Yorkshire and service and quality is always excellent. However post pandemic when I see reviews about restaurants all over having declining standards , I need to re-iterate NOT HERE.. as good as ever in all aspects.

Ordered takeaway earlier tonight, our chicken korma was turkey not chicken, the lamb dish was definitely not lamb and the naans were not very good and after waiting over an hour we rang and were told it was on its way and it still took...

1st time we’ve ordered from here and it was amazing! There wasn’t one thing we didn’t like, the tandoori king prawns were massive and so tasty. The delivery only 45 mins I cannot fault this place, highly recommended.

Used this restaraunt last night for a takeaway as our usual Indian takeaway is closed and it was not as good as we are used to. Chicken Biryani was nice, but Chicken Tikka Masala was watery, although edible. Garlic naan didn't have much resemblance to garlic either.Quite expensive too for what we had. Will not rush to order again.

Ordered takeaway this evening, placed order at 6-25pm to be told order would be at 8pm which was fine , after phoning several times and chap saying it’s on its way order turned up at 9-20pm , the food was only just warm the naan bread was cold , very very poor certainly won’t be ordering takeaway again from here , sorry for the negative review but that’s all it deserves!

Top meal, quality food and a fair price. Delighted they are open again. Looking forward to next visit.

This isn’t a review of a particular visit however I have just seen a review from another member of this site that I needed to respond to, the reviews overall thought was that this was an expensive takeaway, I appreciate that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and this post may be a valid comment based on the posters opinion, but in defence of Spice Lounge I need to say that we eat here regularly and have take aways and always find the quality to be above the average and made with fresh ingredients no warmed up leftovers from the night before as I have experienced with some establishments.The quality of the takeaway food is excellent and as good as if you were in the restaurant, however pan to table still is better as with all food establishments.Please do not be put off trying Spice Lounge in my opinion they always deliver...in more ways than one

Absolutely fantastic food 1st class service quality of meat is to die for visited here now about 7 times in all and have never been disappointed certainly one of our favourites.

The food is nice but on average the curries are £3 more expensive than other local takeaways in my opinion overpriced

We've been visiting Ali and the team regularly since we moved to Swinton 3 years, ago and can genuinely say, that we have never been disappointed with the food at Spice Lounge.There is a wide variety on the menu and we have tried a lot of it, the good thing is their consistency, have something you like once and no doubt if you order it again it will taste the same second time round.Particular favourites on the starters are the onion bhaji, fish, chicken chaat or stuffed pepper. Main wise, be specific with the team and they can recommend what to have, but the Naga Jalfrezi is superb whether chicken or lamb. The madras rice is a must, nice bit of heat and their naan breads rival those which we enjoy in Goa, nice and light.The team are friendly and welcoming and we can't wait to order once they open again tomorrow. Now we've eaten here nowhere else rivals it and we're lucky it's on our doorstep!

We’ve been to the Spice Lounge on many occasions for birthdays, and other celebrations. Always the service is second to none! They can manage to get piping hot food on the table for a dozen people all at the same time AND with huge smiles on their faces.I’m so pleased they’re opening up again on 6/5/20 for takeaway meals.Their food is delicious.Thank you

We have regularly visited this restaurant since it opened 9 years ago. The food is always amazing and the staff are always lovely. The specials nights on Sunday and Wednesday are especially good value for money. We are really looking forward to our next visit when we are freed !

Haven't been for a few years as we moved away from the area. Have to say it's as good as it always was. Food is excellent and service always friendly. We never managed to find an Indian anywhere near as good when we moved so it was well worth coming back. Full credit to the team for opening and keeping going despite the current pandemic. Long may they continue as we'll be using whenever we can.

Always a good filling meal. Especially on a Wednesday evening with the offer menu. Several visits in the last couple of years, each with good service and tasty food.

A party of four of us went there for the first time this week. The food was consistently excellent, the service was first class and value for money outstanding. Everyone in our party agreed that we would be returning.

Came for a takeaway and the staff were all so polite! The food is exceptional! We got greeted at the door and walked to the door with our food carried by a member off staff. Overwhelmed by the couple of minutes in the restaurant! Would definitely recommend this Indian! I will be coming here for a sit down meal for certain.

Having visited this restaurant on numerous occasions, it is still the best Indian cuisine. Chicken Biriani with beautiful chicken breast and curry sauce. Too much for my small stomach so a pack up to take home is an added bonus. All three courses were fantastic and now too stuffed to move. Well done once again to the Spice Lounge and will certainly be returning very soon

We have just had a takeaway tonight from spice lounge Swinton absolutely delicious. The best Indian we have had in a long time really appreciate good food. Beautiful food! Ate in the restaurant a few weeks ago and was very impressed with the meal and the service we recieved. Very attentive staff even though they were busy and prices are very reasonable. Just ordered takeaway tonight and the food was just as good as it was in the restaurant which I did not expect. All food piping hot and delivery came when expected. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be eating here again.

Me and my friend went here last night and had the chicken tikka madras and chicken chat for starters omg best food I've tasted in a long time the meat just melted in your mouth the service just as amazing very polite and friendly staff and very good for price will always return to this place I've eaten out at a few different Indians around yorkshire and this blows them all away just amazing guys

There was a group of six of us that went here, we all had a great time and a great meal, the mixed kebab starter was great, and the chicken madras main meal was very nice, the staff are friendly and the place is tastefully decorated and clean, it ticked all the boxes, will definitely be going back.

Just come home after celebrating a birthday at this restaurant and wanted to share just how good an experience it was. We sat at the round table at the back of the restaurant which felt more private. Wednesday night is their specials night - poppadums and pickle tray, any starter from their extensive menu, a main, a vegetable side between two people, a rice or bread, ice cream or coffee and a half carafe of wine per two people - all for 12.50 and the food was superb. The staff are efficient and really friendly. Packing up the food we couldn't eat to take away was no problem. A shot of flaming zambuka instead of a candle to blow out was a nice touch to end this adult birthday.

First time here and the food was lovely, the pickle tray was a bit lacking as only 3 dips and one tasted like tomato sauce, one was lime pickle which i like but only me out of 4 of us as it's an acquired taste, poppodums were amazing though. Mains were fantastic and lovely staff, very pleasant and attentive. My only other gripe would be the tables being so close together, the couple on the next table felt like they were sat on our table and it didn't help that she was drunk and loud. It is a small restaurant though in fairness and i will definitely go again.

We decided to book a meal in this little treasure at short notice, they accommodated us with their usual efficiency, we were really looking forward to this meal as we hadn't been in few months, and my goodness it was more than worth the wait, the decor and service were top class( the waiters are always so lovely) but the food was absolutely SUPERB. I can't remember the last time we had a meal without a few moans but not tonight from the moment we rang til the moment we left everything was fabulous they definitely under promise and over deliver on food, service and value.

Lovely food, always happy to dine here. Can't wait for the next visit. The only fault I have, and I must admit I'm being picky here, but I do sometimes feel a little rushed. That's the only fault I have. Maybe they need our table for more bookings!!

Last time I was at spice lounge was before they had a refurb, not only does the place offer more space but the staff are definitely more charismatic too. Amazing spices and good prices.

Booked a table for New Year’s Eve, on arriving our table wasn’t available and the table couldn’t be promised to be ready 45 minutes after our booked time. Another party of 4 were waiting for their table, and 2 parties of 6 had gone to a local pub to wait for their tables. It’s disappointing and unacceptable to take bookings for tables and the tables not being available on time or even shortly after the booked time. Have lost all faith in booking or using this restaurant again. It seems as though too many bookings were being taken. One of the party of 6 said it was the same last year and they got their food at 10pm 2 hours after their booked time.

Sat at home now relaxed and sipping wine , content with life after having a superb Christmas Dinner at Spice Lounge

Eaten here a few times and never had a problem. Best to prebook as the restaurant is not large so tables soon get full.
