Spice 4U in Ryedale

After poor service from another local establishment these boys sorted us out! Great quick service for a take away. Fantastic fresh food and look forward to eating in soon.

Cant praise them enough. Staff were friendly , polite and efficient. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The food was very very good. If we are back that way we will definitely go back.

We happened upon this place whilst staying in a nearby cottage. On arrival on a cold, damp, Tuesday evening, we were surprised to find it full. We waited 15 minutes for a table and it was the most worthwhile wait I have ever had. From the superb lime pickle with poppadoms to the amazing “chefs special” Diesh Lamb main course, to the lightest naan bread. This place is on a completely different level to even the best curry houses. Contemporary decor, dishes and service, this place is a must visit when in Pickering, but book a table to avoid disappointment.

This lndian restaurant is Miss it at your peril. The food is excellent, the choices are very good, the portions are enough for most people and the staff are superb. The prices are very reasonable. There are less expensive Indian restaurants but I'd advise you that the extra is worth it. If you are close, make the effort, you won't be disappointed

Came here for my 38th bday meal for 2ppl and have been greeted by friendly and helpful staffs as I'm allergic to spicy! (Burnt tongue) so opt for butter chicken and missus has RojanJosh and have to say the chicken are massively cooked hot and very tasty! Would definitely come here again! For over two years a takeaway from here has been our monthly treat. Superb food. Unfortunately for the past three visits the biriani has been insipid and the masala sickly sweet. I can only presume that they have a new cook. Looks like we'll have to try elsewhere next month. A real shame.

Disappointed evening, table booked for 6pm .., the meal was rushed because there was a queue at the door ! Plates cleared before we’d finished… Chicken dishes very dry .. noisy and rushed , we were shown the door at 7:30 !! Definitely won’t be returning for sure .

I've been coming here for years and never fails with taste, atmosphere and price. The staff are longstanding staff and great at what they do, super friendly and helpful. The place is always clean and pristine. The food presentation is great and it's great tasting food. I always like to try something new and it never disappoints. I will continue to keep visiting when in the area

Absolutely spotless. Service was amazing and the food was top notch. the only thing was the Vegetable Briyani was too spicy hot for me. I still enjoyed it and ate it but would choose something different next time. Pricing I feel is reasonable and they also put our leftover food in a takeaway container which we could then have the next day (portion sizes very good)

Comprehensive menu, good service, tender meat, lovely flavours, great value-for-money, pleasant venue. What else can you ask for?

Packed on a Monday night - the local pubs are closed.A buzzing atmosphere. Fabulous food . Generous portions - we took enough home for a 2nd meal each. Other diners were telling us how fabulous it was.

We have eaten in the restaurant before as well as having takeaway. We’ve mostly enjoyed our meals but our last takeaway was mediocre. This one was awful. We ordered lamb rogan josh and a biriyani. Lamb rogan josh should be full of subtle tomato and spice flavour, layered not harsh. This was clearly just some harsh curry powder chucked in a tomatoey sauce. My wife’s biriyani had the same harsh flavours. The curries were both inedible and we had to bin them. Wasted money which no one can afford in the current financial situation. We won’t be spending money here again in a hurry which is disappointing as there’s precious little alternative in these parts.

Food was OK but, we felt rushed and We were served the next course while still eating the previous course. My wife had her hand bag and coat moved from a chair by one of the staff so he could take the chair for another table. Not a plesent experience in all, I felt that the restaurant was trying to accommodate too many customers and because of this service is suffered but this is probably normal.

We only had takeaway but the food was good. The place was busy and the staff tried their best to accommodate people who hadn’t booked. The staff were very friendly. I’ll definitely try again when next in area.
