Spartacus II in Ceredigion

We came back to visit Aberystwyth after being at university here 15 years ago, was a long time to wait to taste these sandwiches again but was worth it. My favourite the coronation chicken hadn't changed at all and was as generously filled and as tasty as I remembered. Any chance you can share the recipe?! The bread was so crusty and just perfect. Thanks for a lovely lunch in a lovely place.

Always heard great things about this place from students and locals in this town. On a visit with my grandma last week we were shocked at the service and food. We observed our food being made, a knife was dropped on the floor, when we asked her to change it the middle aged server laughed and said ‘don’t worry the floor was cleaned.... last week!’. After we paid the extortionate prices for the mouldy bread and salty fillings, I asked if there was a toilet for my grandma to use, the same server laughed and said ‘isn’t she wearing a nappy at her age!’. I asked what she meant and she just sniggered and walked away. As we left another server shouted ‘what!? No tip?’ Followed by an ageist remark. My grandma is only 71 and looks young. I will not be visiting Spartacus again. Also there was a foul smell in there the whole time.

This sandwich and ice cream bar come highly recommended by the locals and when you visit either store you will discover why. The selection is excellent and the staff friendly. They even deliver so if you have a larger event planned, they will do all the catering for you with a smile and excellent presentation.

good for coffee, little veggie or vegan choice so no good for us - heard manager say the brown bread wasn't fresh with so many supermarkets nearby why not!!!!

After our trip on the vale of Reidol Railway, came in for a bacon baguette ice cream and hot chocolate It was starting to get humid out so the air conditioning was very welcome and the food was fine.

Great place to pick up a delicious baguette on my way to get the train, very convenient to train station.

We nipped in before catching a train, and got a couple of baguettes which were lovely and fresh, with good quality fillings. Service was very friendly and pleasant, however tables were a bit cramped (and I don't think there was a toilet), and it wasn't cheap (our baguettes were around £4.50 - £4.90 each), but would definitely return.

Spartacus is a really great brand in Aberystwyth and both little shops are wonderful. One of them does have seating (I believe it is this one) although seating is minimal so you are usually best to get a takeaway. They have a wide range of fillings for your sandwiches, which aren't just sandwiches - you can have as baguettes, panini's and so on, so there will aways be something that is right for you and your family! There is also a salad bar and at the Spartacus by Crimson Rhino/Little Spar they have pizzas as well. They also have a good selection of drinks as well as a nice little selection of cakes. I especially recommend their chocolate brownie for a sweet treat. The one by the train station (believe it this one!) can often seem very busy so staff can be under a lot of pressure but certainly the one near to Crimson Rhino/Little Spar, are a lot more enthusiastic (though no seating there) and were very generous in giving my toddler a little piece of brownie to keep him entertained whilst we waited for the panini's to cook. Definitely would recommend.

Baguettes preciosas, paninis.Enorme selección de rellenos. Servicio puede hacer con un poco más de una sonrisa en la tienda de la estación de tren - desde el antiguo miembro del personal, teniendo en cuenta que soy un cliente habitual.No me puedo quejar del servicio en la tienda, en la falda de la colina penglais.En cuanto a la calidad de la comida, no tengo ninguna queja.

Soy un visitante habitual de las premisas y yo tenemos una selección variada de baguettes y paninis para mi almuerzo. Normalmente llevar pero el café que se sirve aquí también es bueno. La smokey joes, pollo tikka con ensalada de col y baguettes chutney de mango son fantásticas. Puedes hacer tu propia selección de los ingredientes que son visibles a través de un mostrador de cristal. Puede ver cómo los ingredientes son frescos. Un poco más caro que otras tiendas de sándwich, pero la calidad compensa, el viejo adagio que recibes lo que pagas.

He sido un fan de Espartaco por tres años pero esta rama determinada de Spartacus ha cambiado de opinión. En ambas ocasiones recientes que he visitado, he dejado con medio lleno, baguettes vacíos. Solía estar dispuestos a pagar el alto precio de 3,20 libras, sin embargo, ahora que he dejado con pan ya no me Sha. Al menos puedes conseguir llenar los más caro incluso Spartacus 1. Se utilizan para llenar pero ahora me estoy hambre.

I really like this place, the paninis are awesome, and the brownies are just fantastic! They have branches all over Aberystwyth, and they've started delivering too which is great for when you're studying and you just fancy a tuna melt.

Nice little cafe with friendly staff and like the sister store nearby, always decent food, especially the cakes.

Service and food etc were superb, and at a good price.. A very busy café, which speaks volumes. Location if shopping or visiting the seafront is ideal. We would certainly visit again if in town. Gill and Nigel Dallison Anglesey

Quizás es sólo mi mala suerte, pero tuve fermentado tomates en mi atún sándwich y baguette dos veces en pocos meses recientes (en una ocasión fue preparado por el director del lugar, lo que hace que decir? ). No recuerdo que pueden ser tan sin embargo, la calidad de los ingredientes siempre ha sido muy bueno. Desde entonces estoy tratando de conseguir un almuerzo alternativo de algunos otros lugares si puedo, simplemente no estoy seguro de si puedo confiar Spartacus más, lo cual es una pena porque su bocadillo de atún era mi favorito de la ciudad. Además, en la mayoría de mis visitas a establecimientos de Espartaco los empleados estaban frías, y no poco entusiasta. Tuve sonriente. Creo que estas cualidades para ser muy atractiva y eso hace que me aterroriza la próxima visita más que esperamos ansiosamente.

Being used to fresh stuff, their sandwiches took a bit of getting used to. But they were lovely whenever I was really hungry hahaha
