We had a lovely dinner date. It was our first seafood restaurant together and we were delighted with our meal. Everyone was very attentive, soft spoken and made us feel most welcome. They are politest team we have ever come across. They were very busy and have efficient table service. I had the scallops & prawn special, my partner had cod and chips. We really recommend these dishes and will soon return to try more. The restaurant was amazing, we cannot fault it! Thank you 🥰 Ps. the person who decorated has great taste! 12/10 👌

Fish and chip shop and restaurant. Still the same friendly staff good fish and chips ideally situated on the main A40 stop before travelling to Fishguard and ferry to Ireland. It's still a top rate chip shop, and restaurant service was quick. Everything cooked to order.

Have not been in a while, but food is always excellent. So good we surprised my parents with a takeaway. They love the food also we drove over 50 miles to get it, it is that good.

Had a fantastic meal, fish & chips with tartar sauce and mushy peas. Wow, it was top rate. Then mince pie in batter with ice cream, youve gotta try this, amazing. This is a top rate restaurant and the service was brilliant.. Well be back..

We ate at the restaurant last night, took my family after having previously visited the take away a few times. We just cannot fault the food. Crispy light batter as advertised, delicious tasty chips with some added extras. I tried the battered Mars bar and wow this with the ice cream and extras was fantastic. Great service, efficient, polite and the waitresses were so good at there jobs. We can't wait to eat here again soon. P.s Battered mince pie for Xmas (dad had) absolutely unbelievable 😋😋😋

Had cod & chips and a can of Pepsi, fish was undercooked batter was soggy and no lemon no tartar sauce and no peas £14 don’t mind paying the price if the food was good. Not a happy customer.

Such a lovely, friendly place to eat! The food was fantastic and they are very dog friendly too. Our dog loved all the attention he got every time we visited! Will definitely be back next time we’re in Fishguard.

Very fresh fish. Light crisp batter . Wonderful !Never disappoint!

Delicious home cooked food, but for fish and chips is overpriced considering the quantity, and when compared with other local chippies. The lady who greeted us at the front was a little cold and seemed unfriendly but the service staff who took our order and brought our food were absolutely lovely!

Had one of their specials, scallop and prawn kebab, and it was absolutely delicious. A starter of whitebait was excellent as well. Shall be going again very soon.

Terrible meal in restaurant. Fish cakes tasteless, chips full of black bits and the chicken pieces over cooked. The bill came to over £100 for well below average food.

Wij hebben de take away gehaald. De vis was wel okee, maar er zaten te veel slappe chips bij. Misschien is het restaurant beter maar dat kan ik je helaas niet vertellen.

We booked last minute to come here last week, the owner was very accommodating despite being busy. I mentioned that my son has a few allergies and they couldn't have been more helpful. Everything was checked for allergens and they offered to swap out the kids meal pudding for a different option that he could eat. The food was incredible, it came out quickly and everything tasted so fresh. Unfortunately we aren't local, but if we were we would definitely be going back! I can't recommend it enough.

Noticed that for a few years now the menu on line has not been updated to the menu in the chippy its self it's not very good if you happen to go the with the right money and to get told its gone up in price.. UP DATE YOUR ON LINE PRICES

Our car broke down and whilst we were waiting for the RAC we went to the restaurant. The staff were so kind to us and looked after us. We had tea coffee and a plate of chips each which were fluffy and hot and delicious. Thank you very much for being so good to us.

Absolutely pathetic amount of chips for a large would need 3 maybe 4 large portions to feed a family of 4. I wouldn't like to see the small portion. Not very good chips either. Very poor. Such a shame but after speaking to many other people this seems to be a common thing. Never again.

Well presented and perfectly cooked. My scampi was juicy with a delicate flavour and a wonderful crispy batter. Very attentive staff in a relaxed informal environment, conducive to a highly enjoyable social gathering.

Staff are nice and friendly. Everything was packed neatly for the takeaway order. The chips were very bland though even with salt, mushy and not at all crunchy until I got to all the little bits at the bottom. I literally ate in the carpark by the chippy so it wasn't like that from travelling. The curry sauce was very bland too, just typical chippy curry sauce. Was expecting more given the rave reviews of the chippy. The battered sausage however was the nicest one I've had in a long time from anywhere, probably THE nicest actually. So two stars for the staff and sausage in batter.

What a lovely place! Eight of us went to celebrate mother-in-law's 92nd birthday. Well worth the long drive; The fish was fabulous, and banana fritters a worthy desert. Happy and pleasant staff made us all feel welcome. Will certainly visit again when next in the area.

I had not been here for some time. My sister in law and I were delighted, with new style and decor. Colours were calming and restful, yet smart. We sat in a little booth, there was a painting with a legend relating to it, local interest. Service was given promptly, Tunder, was very helpful, and her demeaner, would stand up to those who serve in the Ritz, the coffee, and tea were served hot, and rare, was pouring cream for my coffee, that was Not Elmlea, a butter cream! This seperates in coffee, i dislike this intensely, so thank goodness, they know cream; and we had passionfruit,and mango cheese cake, with cream. This was amazing in flavour and delicious! We didn't have time for fish and chips but I feel sure, the standard will be high. Four stars.

Tried to go for dinner on the day the Queen died. Got told they're closing "out of respect". How about respecting your customers and not lying? You just wanted to go home early. Embarrassing service. Luckily we found a restaurant down the road who were opened as per their advertised times.

Absolutely awful chips tasted vile some weren't cooked & raw inside & others tasted off , the chicken bites still needed plucking , rolls not buttered (ever tried buttering a roll with the butter packed & finger ) a plastic knife should be provided for takeaway food with rolls & the rolls we're brioche which is a required tasted as are quite sweet , the gravey was watery & tasted of nothing iv had better bisto we wont be returning & thats from 4 of us who bought & paid separately only one star as no option for minus 5

I never order fish and chips when I'm out i find there is too much batter and not enough fish inside and I'm not really a chip person, but I ate all the fish,batter and chips, they all were delicious!

Chips were pricey but average and the staff are still wearing facemasks!! which seem to be condensating their breath which dripped onto the counter 🤢

This is a really fine fish and chip restaurant with several differences. The menu offers excellent specials - staith wrapped in smoked salmon; battered and fried - as well as the more expected treats - Cod and chips. Fish fresh and hot; batter delicious and light and chips fluffy in the inside. Really great plaice!!

My favourite place for fish and chips in the country, and I travel in Wales a lot. I first ate here when my kid sister was living in Letterston years ago, and if I'm within 30 miles of here for any reason, I always find an excuse to call here. The food is excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. If you are anywhere in West Pembrokeshire, try the haddock and chips, its outstanding. 5 gold stars every time

Fabulous fish and chips - complete with mushy peas and curry sauce ( take it from someone raised on Yorkshire fish and chips - this is goooooood!) Amazing service. Highly recommended and so deserving of their official best chippy status. Thank you to all at something’s cooking for a wonderful evening and meal. This is the first restaurant that we visit when in Pembrokeshire every year and this year we travelled over 1000 miles and through 5 countries to get here! Worth every step of the journey!

Meal good as usual. Plenty of it served by personable staff. If you are a pensioner the meal you get Main + pudding + soft drink or tea is a real bargain

This is hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had. The batter was light and extremely well seasoned; you could also taste the freshness of the fish. Absolutely incredible. Some constructive criticism is that the floors were slippery in some walkways due to the nature of the restaurant. August 2021

Had takeaway Hake and chips. Not impressed. Fish was grey looking and dry and didn’t taste fresh - only 15 minutes away. Mushy pea’s also unlike others had before and were dull and unpleasant.

Easily The best fish n chip shop/ restaurant in Pembrokeshire. I have a take out every Friday. See you soon...

Staff made you welcome and service was good

Trev and the team never fail to impress. A lovely fresh remodel to the interior. We arrived midweek without a reservation but they managed to squeeze us in. We ordered the set meal from the specials board and went for the Haddock and Plaice fresh from Milford Haven. Great sized meals , lovely staff and clean throughout. 10/10

What a wonderful place, a traveller's delight. After a week of camping, we ate our lunch on our way back to London. Food. Ambience, infrastructure, cleanliness, covid protocol, sanitiser, toilets and toiletries. Best experience. But what took my breath away was the constant attention and care shown by the staff at our table. You know how callous the service industry is when it comes to UK! Inhospitable restaurants and pubs! This places in wales will treat you how you would like it to be! I will give them 8 out of 5 for being so nice.

Had take away fish and chips x 3, small unbattered sausage, tub of curry sauce and mushy peas - £32.00. As you bit into the batter the oil just oozed out. Not that many chips in portion. A real disappointment

Generous portions, fish was lovely and fresh. Very attentive staff. The fish of the day was over cooked but a replacement dish was given no fuss.
