At an average level, the same ingredients are generally more expensive than in Dundee. I understand that the cost is high.

This is the nicest Chinese takeaway in Aviemore, the owners are very accommodating & very nice people, prices are very reasonable & myself & my partner rate them very highly. Recommend to everyone. Very good size portions. We go to Aviemore every 3-4 months & use this takeaway every night of our stay. Jacqui & Neil from Glasgow.

Poor overcooked & uncooked food I was debating whether to order due to the poor reviews… shouldn’t have bothered the reviews are true it really is awful. Considering it’s the only Chinese takeaway in aviemore you think they would do better. Avoid at all costs.

Eaten here last few years when on holiday been very good but this year salt and pepper spare ribs very greasy and not best quality ribs,then had chicken chow mein again very bland not much flavour and tiny portion of chips £23 for 3 dishes very expensive a shame used to love the place sadly we will not be returning in near future

Very expensive for sub standard food. Placed an order for delivery after arriving in Aviemore. We ordered chicken balls, noodles and some honey chicken. Chips and rice. It came to an eye watering £55 the same food would cost me £25/30 back home. For the price I expected the food to be amazing but it wasn't anything special. Very oily and sub par. £6 delivery for somewhere a mile away is also very expensive considering it took 1hr 15min after being quoted 45min. Overall I would look elsewhere for better value

The food was worth a 3 1/2 star review possibly but the cost makes it more of a 2 1/2 stars. £28 for a basic Chinese takeaway for two made it not really worth the price. More used to paying around the £15/18 for what we had.

Worse Chinese takeaway I have ever had, two members of our party ended up being sick after the meal. From what I coukd tell is the oil has not been changed recently so everything had bitter taste especially the prawn toast and chicken wings. Due to people feeling I’ll we decided to bin most of it. I am going to try for refund if successful I will draw a line under it

Visited aviemore 2 times, only ordered from this takeaway in two occasions. Once in July 2022 and last night 3/11/23.on these 2 occasions I have not received the food I ordered. Was looking forward to a wee cheeky chicken curry fried rice, arrived back at the lodge with a chicken fried rice instead. We thought this was hilarious as we did debate whether we were going in or not due to previous experience of receiving wrong order. Food however was nice enough, a bit expensive though £21 for a meal side chips and salt and pepper chips. So I cannot rate the curry as I’ve yet to taste it 😅

This is not really a dine in place. The food was a version of Chinese but not an especially good version. Then again, why go to Aviemore to eat Chinese. My food was ordinary.

Went there to get a Chinese. Prawn crackers tasted like crunchy air. No taste at all. Duck fried rice was mediocre. £10 is a ridiculous price for a mid portion of rice. Definitely not coming here again.

As I sat to write this review, this morning, I wasn’t surprised to find so many other poor reviews. We had a takeaway for 6 people, and I can’t even begin to say how bad it was. Prawn crackers weren’t fresh but then it got worse as we opened the 2 x Combo Starter Boxes at £13 each - full of inedible over-fried ‘stuff’. This included deep fried tiny pieces of prawn toast (deep fried bread, cut into tiny pieces and ‘painted’ with red colouring and a few sesame seeds. Not a prawn, or even a taste of prawn, in sight. Chips - which appeared to have been fried hours before. Chicken pieces - but like someone else mentioned, was it chicken?? And the driest, most unappetising spare ribs (no sauce as that would have been extra). But then we get to the mains! Chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce - all batter and no chicken. Some were so over-fried I couldn’t even get a knife through them. Lemon chicken - again all batter and no chicken (quoted as being the worst ever). Shredded beef with chilli - a lot of unrecognisable veg to fill out the sauce. The only edible dishes were chicken chow mien. Our friends paid for this disastrous meal so I haven’t had the opportunity to check for discrepancies on the bill, but it wouldn’t surprise me. What an end to an otherwise great day. Never again, and let’s hope lots of other people are wise enough to read Tripadvisor reviews before going here! Most of the food ended up in the bin.

We ordered 3 dishes for dinner for 3 people quantity was fine but the food cooked was tooo much oily we could see the oil down in the tray. I don’t recommend the food here. Taste wise it was just ok. Total we spent 40 but it was not worth it

Our group ordered meals for 14 people and had it delivered to our lodge at Badaguish on Tuesday the 22nd August and I can honestly say I will never order from there again. The food was awful yes all £193 of it. Had we been able to they would have had it all back. On scrutinising the receipt for our holiday audit there were some discrepancies also. Not sure about other places but to give us reheated chips x 4 and have the cheek to charge £4.50 per portion oh and it was 3 we had not 4. Then charged us for the prawn crackers that were certainly not fresh £8 for. 2bags. NEVER AGAIN and I have told friends and family to avoid it too.

We ended up here as we were walking along the high street looking for somewhere to eat. Portions here are huge! Ordered the duck crispy noodles and the seafood crispy noodles. We were not expecting 5 star gourmet - but the food was tasty and service was quick. We would def re visit if in the area.

We ordered three different dishes as well as rice, with specific alterations requested to the mains. None of these were an issue. The meal was fresh and cooked quickly to taste. All dishes were indeed very tasty. We ate outside and enjoyed the view at the benches avaliable.

Ordered sweet & sour chicken, rice and salt & pepper chips. Only got 10 mins to prepare, was very tasty. Loads of chicken!

Had a busy day so fancied staying in and have a take away. Found the Snow Mountain on line and liked the look of an extensive menu. We had the Chicken fried rice with curry sauce and the house special curry with fried rice. Very tasty, with good efficient service. Maybe just a tad pricey to what I have paid for similar but recommended none the less.

I was a bit dubious to get a meal from here due to the previous poor reviews however thought I would give it a chance. Only got a special curry with fried rice and shredded beef in a honey chilli sauce with fried rice. Both dishes were very tasty and enjoyable, approx £9 a dish including the rice!!

Can you tell the chef the microwave isn’t working properly. Luke warm reheat. Disgusting waste of £90 AVOID AVOID AVOID

Just called in as in the area and ordered a 12" munchies box, not our usual thing but looked good after a days walking. Have to say we all thoroughly enjoyed it, nice and fresh and plenty of it. Lady on front desk was very friendly too. Recommend if your local or in the area. Thank you 👍

Firstly, we order in the take away and was told it would be twenty minutes. One hour and twenty minutes if waiting in a freezing shop with a seven month old baby. This may have been worth it if the food was good, it wasn't. We couldn't eat the food as it was that bad... Not sure where they get their chicken from, was it even real chicken...mmmm

Very nice food. Tried most of their vegetarian dishes and all really good and packed with flavour. The deep fried dumplings were great.

We just had honey chilli chicken,snd lemon chicken!! Absolutely deelicious,will definetly use them again.They also deliver now too

I wouldn't give this food to my dog, I'm not sure if a rat would attempt to eat this food. The last two meals purchased has gone straight in the bin. My bin deserves better treatment than this. 🤮

We ordered a takeaway to our hotel on our last visit to aviemore. Food arrived quite quickly and delivered by a lovely girl. However the food was pretty awful. Salt and chilli shredded chicken was so pale i dont think it had seen the wok. No flavour at all. Chow mein was bland and the honey chilli beef was served in a gloopy grey sauce. My partner who had the beef ended up spending the best part of the following day on the toilet. Will definately not be returning

Ordered the szechuan king prawn with chips and it is one of the best iv had. Very big portion size can actually feed two people. They even gave me free prawn crackers which went well dipping into the szechuan sauce. Customer service was great and informative and food was ready at the given time and piping hot. If im in the area again in future will definitely pop back in here.

Did order delivery. It was fast and easy. Staff (owner) is very good, helpful and patient. The Szechuan chicken was not the same like I used to have else where, did not taste Szechuan spice at all in here and a little too oily. Next time will try something else.

As it's the only one in town, that I know off there's not much competition. Food was good, hot and tasty.

We ordered from the Snow Mountain twice on our 3 night weekend break as the food was excellent! Best curry sauce we have tasted. Food of good quality and very tasty! Delivered to our accommodation also which was great. Highly recommend.

Slow service, snails and tortoise move quicker, food was terrible , bland no taste cold ,looked like slime , will not return, worst Chinese we have ever had, threw it in bin ,best place for it,

Nipped in here on spec and were pleasantly surprised how good it was. Initially I was dubious as the place seemed a bit scruffy. However the food was very tasty. We had shredded beef with honey and chilli which was delicious. We also had garlic...

We've loved this place for a couple or three years now and this year gone even more ... I could eat their Sweet Honey Chicken Chilli every time I go (and in fact do!) but tonight the chef decided to treat us to fruit fritters for afters - banana for Ian and pineapple for me - I was sparing with the golden syrup (being diabetic it was pushing my luck!) but the fritters were beautiful - the whole meal is gorgeous - the service is friendly and efficient - what's not to like?! If you're on holiday in Aviemore make sure you call in here for a take away - you won;t regret it!

Shredded chicken was fair like snow whites face, chilli sauce was sweet going in but spicy going out Deep fried prawn was more breadcrumb than prawn but the dipping sauce made up for it. Chicken dumplings were tasty but the soy sauce too pungent. Rice and prawn crackers standard. Customer service great the women seemed happy to work there. A safe but no thrills option for a quiet days holiday.

Horrendous and simply inedible food. We couldn’t eat anything that we had ordered. Even the prawn crackers were awful! Customer service was dismal when we gave feedback on the awful food. Was also expensive for Chinese take away. Don’t even try it as a back up!

Awful food tasteless and soggy worst Chinese I’ve ever had

Can’t fault them. The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. I have several food intolerances and nothing is too much trouble. They manage to prepare a wonderful meal for me so that I don’t feel ‘left out’. The portions are a good size too, making a meal from Snow Mountain good value for money.

Upon entering we ordered our food immediately. Then we began to look around the waiting area and it was absolutely filthy, so God help the kitchens. We took our meals and left discussing the state of the place. Some of the company ate their food and stated that it actually tasted ok. However My House Special Chow Mein looked terrible and went straight into the bin. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The place doesn't look great, the Covid precautions are in place - wood frames and plastic screening aren't a good sight. Huge menu, reasonably priced. We thought the set menu for 2 was tasty.

Soggy pancake rolls, chicken wings were ok. Chicken satay contained very little chicken. My niece honestly had trouble finding any amongst all the vegetables. Special fried rice wasn’t very special. Yet again very little meat added. Salt and pepper chips were again very poor only...

Really tasty food. I had the szechaun king prawn with hot and garlic sauce and it was delicious. My wife who normally doesn't enjoy chinese takeaway food had stir fried shredded beef with hot sauce and she said it was the best chinese meal she has tasted. Another good point was that they delivered it to the campsite we were staying on, great service. We highly recommend people to try their food. Oh and complimentary prwan crackers.

Curry sauce was lovely. The chicken in it, not properly cooked! Chicken breast, not cooked properly???!!! Seriously basic mistake. Not to mention the health risk. I will not be back.

My wife and I just had chicken noodle soup, BBQ ribs, chicken and pineapple with pickled ginger, chicken with bamboo and water chestnuts and shared fried rice and prawn crackers. All food was absolutely awesome, best Chinese food we've ever had.

all items were edible but not enjoyable. Pancake rolls were very soggy, chicken crispy noddles - very crispy noodles and chicken in a different sauce, my husband said the honey chilli chicken was ‘edible’. Wish I stayed home ate leftovers and saved myself £25!

Best chicken balls I’ve had, nice fresh chicken had been used. Curry sauce was very thick but hey you get a lot from it like that. I was supposed to get a long tray of fried rice but got a small one but again simple mistake. The place is genuine the man on the desk is very friendly and doesn’t need all the bad reviews I see on here he’s there to make a living for his family like everyone else give the guy a chance try out snow mountain.

Front of house really needs a bit of a face lift, a deep clean would certainly improve the appearance. The service was great though, I found the young man taking our order very friendly and efficient. The food was taste and hot. I would order again.

Great chinese. Had chicken curry and fried rice was beautiful. Also had chicken and mushrooms and boiled rice. They did our order brilliantly as we wanted no onions in chicken and mushroom. When we got there they were sooo nice. Would recommend!!!!

Absolutely the worst chinese takeaway Ive ever had. I ordered Lemon chicken with fried rice the chicken was so soggy and slimy it was inedible. It must have been sitting in that lemon sauce for days then chucked in a microwave to heat up.

This is a take away service only. The food was interesting and we would have returned had it not been for the very rude girl serving. When I enquired that we’d been waiting 20mins and why it was taking so long she marched off, got the receipt and pointed to fact it had only been 10 mins since we ordered - in a quite aggressive tone I might add. When our meal was ready, and it was only a few minutes later to be fair, she basically threw the bag at us, said nothing and stopped off again. Needless to say we didn’t get courtesy prawn crackers - like everyone else who was then to scared to complain about anything no doubt did.😂 This would have been. 4 star post but due to service its a 1 star - zero stars not being an option.

Our takeaway was very nice. Szechuan chicken, chicken curry and special fried rice. Was a bit concerned by some of the reviews but, honestly we couldn’t fault the service or the food. No complaints from us. Would recommend and will order from there next time...

Ordered before my taxi home, only ordered 4 items and none of them were complicated. When I got home I realised the order was wrong, and what I had received was very poor quality! Avoid this takeaway, very poor!

Not the best. Cold and tasteless curry and honey chilli chicken. The portions were fairly large and generous. The staff serving was less than friendly. Inside of the shop was cluttered and messy. I won’t be rushing back.

Don't want to seem harsh but probably the worst Chinese I've ever had. Everything was bland. We ordered fried rice and curry sauce Chicken noodle soup Beef in black bean sauce. Beef curry. Everything seemed to come out the one pan and was terrible. We all took like a couple of bites and binned it all. Hindsight we should of returned it all. Even the chips were bad and I didn't think that could happen. Sorry to leave the bad review

Cold fried rice, tasteless butterfly king prawns. Looking at the mixed reviews here, it’s either a hit or a miss, our experience was definitely a miss.
