Personal encantador y amable y excelente comida.Porciones no demasiado grandes y del tamaño adecuado para las personas que no son codiciosas. Just wow...didn't manage to take any pictures as we dug straight in to our lunches. Absolutely glorious food, amazing flavours and really friendly staff. I had samosas with daal and pani puri and my husband had the curry of the day which was tomatoes and spinach which was served with daal and a chappati. The pani puri were little flavour bombs full of loveliness! The daal was full of flavour with a smokey hint coming in at the end.All in all I can't rate this place highly enough. Stunning food and I can't wait to be back in The Toon to go back for more

My partner and I had been told about Snackwallah which is a vegetarian/vegan Indian Streetfood location in the Grainger Market. We had two different dishes and they were really tasty and not too hot. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were delighted with our whole experience. If you want an authentic tasting Indian meal at a very reasonable price, in the centre of Newcastle then this is it. Neither of us is vegeterian but this did not make any difference to our enjoyment of very nice meal. Thoroughly recommend the place.

I really cannot stress how excellent the food is here. The bhaji wrap is super chunky and filling with deliciously spiced homemade bhajis, the daily curry is excellent value at £5 for curry, daal, rice, naan (with a proper spice kick to it)! The hot samosa chaat is also gorgeous. Snackwallah is the first place I show people who are new to Newcastle, amazing food with the loveliest owners! I'm also pretty sure they pay their staff a real living wage and use environmentally friendly, so to those complaining about prices (which I personally think are incredibly reasonable) - you get what you pay for!! Please don't ever change Snackwallah, I love you!! Pictured is the daily curry (which is a fiver for all that!) and the classic samosa chaat.

Was very excited to try the Indian street food snacks they have on their menu(I am indian & love to find new places where I can find home comforts), I got a mixed platter & was sadly disappointed unfortunately Chana chaat was freezing cold which wasn’t good on the pallet & the spices didn’t come through at all, pani puri didn’t have any “pani” in and tasted nothing like something you’d get in india & bhelpuri was also lacking lots of elements. So was a disappointing visit for me personally, but with a bit more research I think they have potential.

Near the end of the day and quiet so as well as gorgeous food I got to have a chat with the lovely family who run this labour of love. I had a mixed platter which was full of fresh flavours and textures, rich hits from the chutney and sauces, I seriously do not know how anyone makes chickpeas taste that brilliant. Everything was amazing value, authentic, fresh and cooked with skill and care. Bought a mix of samosas and pakoras plus chat to take home, all in environmentally friendly packaging, so reasonably priced I felt I was robbing the shop! Husband announced it as best pakora he had ever eaten. Honestly, meat esters won't care or notice it’s all vegan, it's as good as the reviews say. Visit and you'll be very happy you did.

We searched and searched inside the Grainger market for this yesterday, I didn't realise how big the place was! Eventually found it and ordered the Todays Special to go without asking any questions as to what spices were in it... Well, I walked away with the cardboard takeaway box which I was thrilled by to only open it and see loads of coriander on top. I HATE coriander, it tastes like soap to me, I wasn't about to be defeated as I've been wanting to try here since it opened. I scraped the leaves off and dived in. The flavour sensation from the whole box was nothing short of amazing! Although the coriander flavour took over the curry I finished the whole lot, I couldn't help it. The rice although plain had an amazing flavour as did the dhal looking accompaniment and the chapatti type bread was delicious too. I will 100% be back for me on the rare occasion I go to Newcastle, this time with a little more time to ask about the menu and try a few different things. Two huge thumbs up from me and my little girl.

I love the food stalls in the Grainger Market and the Snackwallah is a great addition. Excellent food and great value, plus friendly staff. A great lunchtime healthy snack and all vegan!
