Smyths Traditional Fish And Chips in Belfast

Had a takeaway. The fish and chips was poor quality and the portion size was meagre. After waiting for over 20 minutes, this was topped off by rubbish food and poor value. Won't be back...

Solo quiero decir que es un lugar fantástico, especialmente ahora, ya que todo está con nuevos propietarios y el trabajo que han hecho es fantástico, está impecable. Son muy serviciales y muy amables y nada fue demasiado. Pedí a mis hijos y a mí que usaran el baño, pero me dijeron que es contra la salud y la seguridad debido a que el inodoro está en la parte trasera de la cocina, por lo que tendríamos que pasar por materiales calientes. y otros artículos que pueden causar accidentes, así que ahora entiendo totalmente, pero no dejaría que eso me desanime nuevamente. Por favor, pruébalo y toma una decisión como casi no lo hice después de leer las reseñas anteriores.

Como cliente bastante habitual de este establecimiento, tal vez pueda comprender mi disgusto extremo cuando mi nieto (5) necesitaba usar el baño, no era un cliente en ese momento, sin embargo, la niña a la que atendía no podía ir regularmente.Esta visita pregunté si mi nieto podía usar el inodoro y, a pesar de que me conocían claramente, me dijeron "No".Si este es un ejemplo de cómo tratan a las personas que son clientes conocidos, creo que es seguro decir que yo nunca volveré a comprarles nada.

Llamado para degustar el menú en este chippy. Smyths es un chippy de larga data en esta área de Belfast. Mi marido y yo tarde del nombramiento de hospitales y llamado para la cena.La cena se sirve pescado era enorme, y una pequeña ensalada con guisantes. . . Me dieron una cena pastie. Hasta entonces pensaba que era mala suerte tener una pequeñita.Buen servicio, buena taza de té y pan fresco y mantequilla.

£3.30 for a fish and chips meal, fish was huge, was bit gutted about minimum chips but understood when the fish was so big, staff were all so friendly and food was amazing will definitely be back

If you want to pay the for a whole fish but be given a half a fish then this is the chippie for you. They seem to rip you off everytime i go now.

Every time I go to smyths I am never disappointed. The food is always hot even after the drive home and is tasty every time. Great value for the quality as everything on the menu is gorgeous!!

Tasty fish, batter not too thick, lovely chippy chips. Haven't had a fish supper as good as this in a long, long time. Definitely be back.

My family and i love the food from here. We have never had a bad meal. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend everyone should give here a try. You will not be dissapointed.

My grandmother told me about this chippy and I've been hooked from my first :) brilliant deals meals and offers defiantly worth an extra 10 mins walk

Mejor "fish and chips" en la carretera. El personal es muy amable y acogedora toda ... buena comida y excelentes el tamaño de las porciones. Mi favorito!

I go here few times a week and have never had as much as a burnt chip , food is always perfect and fresh , staff are very friendly and polite ... 10 outta 10

This is just down the road from us and we had only had the odd takeway from it, which was always yummy. So tonight we decided to go and sit in. We didn't get there until after 7.30pm and one member of staff was cleaning the restaurant, but they still made us feel very welcome and seated us in an area that was not being cleaned. This was in sharp contrast to other eating places where employees often make it quite clear they are ready for home and you had best make it snappy.The service from all three members of staff we encountered was really friendly and warm, and the food when it came was first class. The batter on the fish was perfect; crispy, light and well seasoned, and what a mound of chips! What's more, my husband who is English said the peas came the closest to peas in English chippies he has tasted since living here. They are big into their mushy peas over there! So a top accolade!Smyths is also very reasonable priced.A real gem of a chippie; we will most definaely go back, next time with the kids in tow.

I decided to suss this place after reviews. It was clean efficient and friendly. Prices average. I had cod and a pastie. Cod was average size and taste. Batter a wee bit hard in places. Pastie was lovely taste but at £1.95 a tad expensive and small. I would go back and recommend Smyths. But for me it falls slightly behind the New Titanic on lower Newtownards Road in all aspects. But as a chipper it is better than average. Well done.

Great food! Absolute bargain. They only charged me money for this but I'd give my first born son for the pasties recipe!

Went to Smyth's for a fish and pastie supper. The fish serving was huge and the batter was light. Great place to go for dinner and nice to be able to get a pot of tea and bread. Only advise would be to avoid sitting too near to the fryer area as it was too hot. Otherwise no complaints

Visit Smyth's quite often when over East. Fish & chips always excellent, cooked to order and large portions. Stephen who works there is lovely with the older ladies, calling them "princess" which really makes them smile. Premises are always spotless and the staff always friendly, keep up the good work.

Highly recommend Smyths for great food and particularly the cod and chips. This is the best chippy in East Belfast. Good value, efficient service and big portions!

Top food and service and you can also sit in. The place is always busy which is surely a good thing!! The fish is better than anywhere else I have tried in the East and the food is always fresh and tastes great!! Service always first class from Steven and the rest of the crew. Would eat here at least once a week and rarely go anywhere else for a chippy in the east of the City.

i have eaten from here before and the chips have always been great but have never sat in.. clean well kept eating area totally gorge proper chippy chips!!i had great fish (cod) an chips with a salad garnish and mushy peas £6.50. very reasonable i thought.. and my bf had a bacon and cheese burger which was very tasty and he said the sausage was great too! the waitress was efficient and even asked us was everything ok ..as i said better service than some restaurants I've spent a fortune in!perfect monday evening dinner,can't wait to return!

Smyth's are the best fish & chips in East Belfast. Proper chips too, not frozen crappy ones (they're just not the same!). Shop is always clean and tidy too. You can sit outside or inside too.
