I really liked the new buns on the chicken burgers, the long sub style ones were an improvement in my opinion. I hope you make those buns permanent, failing that, a selectable option. The quality was fantastic as always, delicious.

We love Smoques burgers but the customer service is just plain awful. There’s not a time on the app to suggest how long delivery will be and we’ve waited upto nearly 2 hours. There’s no apology. The burgers always arrive cold. If this happens again we will never order from this company again and we’ve been ordering from here since 2016

Good Food shocking service. I ordered via the app and my order was duplicated. I was promised a refund within 5 days and nothing received. I have contacted the company twice and tried to call no answer. Now having to proceed with credit card company to return funds. It is a shame good concept, good food but can have terrible execution and service.

Once again… they show me why it’s my favourite burger spot on Brighton! Efficient, great tasting hot food, added the new buffalo chicken bites to my order, didn’t expect the portion to be so big, and they were spicy!. A very full up happy man, love it!!!

Food was hot and tasted great. Delivery was great despite me having this delivered to a hotel it was seamless. They even remembered all the little bits that most forget like salt, sauces and wipes etc.

Have previously ordered from Smoque and was very good, however order was over 30 mins late and then one wrong burger was sent out. Partner is coeliac so must be gluten free, neither burger was labelled as GF and partners burger was supposed to bacon cheeseburger but received one with onion rings in so she could not any of it. All of the order turned up cold as well so really not impressed with my order which is a shame as Smoque can be very good 😞

SmoQue burger does do good food. It’s very tasty. You used to get a good decent portion of food for what is quite an expensive price. Unfortunately though, they have now reduced their portion sizes and the amount of food is really very small and no longer worth the money. It’s a real shame, but it’s time to find a better restaurant

I have ordered from SmoQue Burger in the past and was really impressed with both the quality and quantity for the money spent. However, on this occasion I was extremely disappointed when I received an order that would probably be classed as a kids meal of lesser quality and it cost me the best part of £16 !!! Complete let down and rip off.

I'm left a little perplexed as this is my first negative review. I've used Smoque Burger for years and they have always triumphed far and beyond. Tonight's order has left little to be desired. Ordered a regular cajun fries. The amount I received was less than half the bag! Made me think, well, what is a small?! Will I use again? Don't know

Ordered the double deal, two double burgers (southern beast and big cheese) two very large portions of fries, a side (we got sticky bbq chicken) and two drinks. Simply put it was amazing. The Patty's were moist and succulent, perfectly cooked and really filling. They even gave us free pickles, onions and a pot of charred tomato hot sauce. 10 out of 10, cannot reccomend enough

I ordered an hour before I wanted delivery. It arrived an hour late. So effectively 2 hours notice. If you can't fulfill the order don't accept it!

Forgot 1 of the chips and the drink. Also just ordered again today through their app and they forgot the rewards points chips so there’s not much point using their app either.

Sent the wrong burger was suppose to be a Cajun deluxe and just recieved cajun chicken burger. Lost out on a pound but still really happy with everything else!

Fries had so much seasoning on it left a pile in the box. It's like the lid came off when the shook it

Dry food which lacks flavour I think they gave me the wrong chips because they were supposed to be seasoned but they were far from that

I was not given what I ordered, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger but was given a cheeseburger, so as you can imagine I am not particularly happy!!!

Such a shame. The first Smoque burger I had 4 years ago was legendary. Over time it has gotten worse and worse. Tonight I ordered a Mexican hot burger with 5extras. What arrived was a bare plain bun with a patty and a slice of chorizo. Genuinely terrible. Not even a sign of sauce or a lettuce leaf. This can’t have been a mistake as the rest of the order was correct. Who is letting orders leave the kitchen like this? This is the latest of three worsening orders I’ve had. Afraid this will be the last time I order.

Excellent food quality, can tell that the food and packaging were lovingly made. Probably my top food place in Brighton right now. Definitely try the banana-belgium chocolate smoothie.

First visit. The best burger & fries I have ever had. Friendly staff open plan cooking whilst chatting to us. Gave the dog some bacon. Fresh orange juice, homemade guac & mayo, seasoned fries. Stacked burger that held together whilst eating. Packed in paper bags. 100% A1 standard. And a loyalty card to boot. Amazing !

Fantastic food, portions were huge and meal came with a satchet of hienz ketchup, salt, pepper, napkin, lemon scented wipe, a tooth pick. Really excellent service and food. 10 out of 10

Literally the best burgers in Brighton

They produce burgers that are a cut above the competition. I've had their food a few times now, and each time I've always had a gutbuster of a delicious burger that's juicy and succulent.

Okay so I’ll start with the good. The banoffee pots are amazing, so good that I might order 6-7 just to binge on them, that’s how good it was. I would like to thank the restaurant for the free onion rings although there was already some in the burger. The jalapeño croquettes are not your usual ones and they are not with cream cheese but with cheddar cheese and while some people might like it lien that I personally didn’t, however they were of a high quality. There was a good amount of chips as well, thanks for which. Now, one thing I’ve realised is that the famous Pa’s garlic mayo which was once the highest quality around, is now not that good, and actually before it used to be white, now it’s some greenish colour. Another thing is that they forgot my drink, and it’s not because they were busy given the fact that I ordered at 4pm and they had just opened at 4pm. I haven’t ordered in some time but I’ve realised that they’ve removed chilli sauce from the menu, however they’ve added mustard …. Like who actually eats mustard…. Even if someone was to eat it they would do it with a hot dog, a product Smoque doesn’t sell, I’ve never seen a burger eaten with a mustard to be honest. Here is the troublesome part though, the coleslaw tasted and smelt seriously off, something was definitely wrong with this coleslaw so I didn’t consume it. Overall it’s good but the issues listed above are not minor and need to seriously be looked in to. When this place was under the management of Arie it was much better I must say.

The place we usually use for burgers wasn’t delivering so decided to try SmoQue and we were so glad we did! Delicious burgers and generous portions of tasty fries; we placed quite a large order and they even threw in an extra portion of fries for free! Excellent value for money, would definitely recommend.

Always fresh and delicious from Smoque Burger

This place used to be amazing, unfortunately the last 3 times I've ordered the food has been cold and this time it didn't even taste nice at all. Last time I will be using this place which is something i didn't think I'd say but the standards have dropped massively in the last few months.

Amazing food very filling… decent size burger 🍔 Cajun fries 🍟 were gorgeous. Will definitely be eating here again. Delivered earlier than expected. Delivery guy was friendly n happy. I don’t have a bad word to say.

1 hour late and still waiting...

Came bang on time, loads of fries and the chicken burger I had was excellent as was the vegan burger my wife had.

Over an hour late, no answer from the restaurant when trying to call, but we did finally get delivered hardly warm food. The delivery driver was lovely though.

Every time I order, the food is delicious! Definitely the best takeout/fast food there is at the moment! The food is absolutely to die for, I could eat here every day!

The food was delicious, however the lettuce in the burgers we got looked a little wilted and old so we left that out. The chips were also pleasantly surprising- would definitely recommend

Food was an hour late.. turned up cold and no where near the normal standard. Also couldn't get through to the restaurant for any sort of update! Very dissatisfied.

order arrived 1hr 20mins after ordering, 30mins late after the expected delivery. Really overpriced for the small portion size, especially considering a £2.50 delivery cost when you'll be waiting so long. The lettuce in the burger was not fresh and going a dead brown color. Won't be coming back here again!

Cold fries and burgers undercooked

Food very welcomed when it arrived, however if we would have known the wait time was an hour the expected time on the app we wouldn't have ordered. Food only arrived after a prompt call and was cold.

Food was lovely. Brilliant burger, very nice chicken, equally good chips. Only one thing didn’t get the brownie I ordered, what we did get though was top notch.

Forgot my drink and the onion rings and chips where cold

This place has gone down hill rapidly, the last time we ordered the food didn’t even turn up but was still charged and shop wouldn’t pick up phone for me to ask what’s going or a refund. Had to get bank to refund. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and gave them another go, this time order wrong, food cold and soggy. Managed to contact shop this time after phone ringing for 5 mins but staff and manager had very poor customer service skills. Such shame as this was one of the best go to burger shops in Brighton. Will never be giving them the benefit of the doubt again, very sad

Food never turned up. The place said I will have to just sort it on the app. This is an hour after ordering. They didn’t contact me either to let me I know. I had to phone to find out what was going on.

Food tasted great despite the Beef Burger was a little more dry than I'd like. Chicken Burger had great flavour but was bone dry which was unfortunate. Peri Peri Fries were superb with the homemade cajun mayo. Would definitely order here again but would hope for it not being over cooked.

Chips and onion rings were cold. Ordered and paid for dessert which was not in delivery.

Firstly, the food here is superb. I have no issues with that. However, when we ordered, the just eat app told us our food would be delivered in 30-40 mins. After nearly an hour, we rang the restaurant and they said our food wasn't even ready yet. No apology. There is clearly no communication between the restaurant and the just eat app. I totally understand if they are busy and service is slow but the app needs to be updated accordingly. At the time out food was supposed to arrive we just got a notification saying 'enjoy your meal' when it hadn't even been prepared. We had to follow it up with 2 phone calls. I want to order from here again but this experience has put me off

Chicken was incredible, as ever. But I used to rely on Smoque for the sickest takeaway burgers in Brighton. I feel like it's slipped a bit - they are a bit smaller for sure, and also the assembly was a bit sloppy. All of the ingredients were DELICIOUS, as ever, but half of it had slid out of the bun by the time it arrived, which was a shame. Skin-on fries continue to be crazy though, why don't all places do this??

I used to love the burgers from here but my last delivery turned up cold and a burger was missing plus I ordered to pay by card and the delivery driver wanted cash. I have been into the establishment and ordered food and waited and witnessed delivery food just sitting in the side. I understand that’s not their problem that food is not cues up late but if I order food from their website direct i aspect the food to arrive hot.

Items missing from order 4x fries and onion rings. Told would send out and 2x brownies to say sorry. After an hour missing food did arrive but not brownie’s would never use again as not exactly cheapest place to order from

Just Eats estimated delivery time was 30-50mins, perfect for my fixed lunch break. Smoque confirmed order and changed delivery to 60-80mins. Pushing the end of my lunch break. My order finally arrived 110mins after ordering. Not reliable service if you work in a hospital with a fixed lunch break. It's not the first time i have ordered from Smoque and the delivery time far exceeds Just Eats estimate. No clear way of cancelling order once confirmed.

This burger was delicious and juicy silly me ordered too many fries but good too! Shame they don’t do Pepsi Max which for my taste is far superior than Coke Zero!

We have ordered from Smoque Burger a handful of times and love their burgers. However, this week we ordered and were really disappointed. My husband's cheese burger was extremely pink inside. Not just a little, the whole thing was bright pink once he bit into it. So, he didn't eat it. I had a chicken burger which looked absolutely fine, no pink at all. Not long after I'd finished, my stomach started to feel unsettled and I spent the rest of the evening vomiting. I didn't eat anything else that day which could have caused this. This was probably just a one-off, but we won't be ordering from them again.

The food was great as it has been before but it took a little while to get here and the chips were pretty cold by that time. Maybe traffic was bad or something. The burger was still warm enough that it was good.

This is a delicious burger, exactly how they should be. The chips weren't quite to my taste but were only a side thought for me and were made up for by the whopper of a hash brown. Really great food!

Despite the food being late (I phoned the restaurant and they said it was Just Eats delivety notification system being a bit funny) the person who answered the phone was very friendly and displayed great customer service. The food was more than worth the delay however, that was the best chicken burger I've ever had, my flatmate was not disappointed by what had had either, I will be ordering from here again, absolute top tier food.

Have been on a 2 day bender and needed some good quality grubs that would sort me righttttt out, had the burger which was so big and tasty and the chips and onion rings which were so fresh and decent and seasoned so well and the chicken goujons which were big and fresh, reckon it was so good this is my new favourite takeaway in Brighton, defo be going a lot more
