Had a absolutely lovely family lunch here, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely, they were very helpful and accommodating when I mentioned my son's autism and asked us where we would like to be seated and have us a choice of quite places.

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for a little under a year now and I have to say we highly recommend it. There is a great choice of food and drink available, great atmosphere and amazing staff. We have been served by Scott since the first day we ventured into the restaurant out of curiosity. He is very approachable, friendly and nothing is too much for him. He is the main reason we keep coming back weekly as we know he will look after us. He is a real credit to this establishment and if you are looking for a restaurant with country music and the staff wear stetsons and you get a real outback feel, this is for you. The head chef is Tom, who cooks our food to perfection along with his team. We always feel great when both Tom and Scott are working, but the food is great and the character of the restaurant suits the menu. It is definitely worth giving this restaurant a try, the relaxed atmosphere and staff are a bonus all headed up by Lesley, who is a great addition to the team.

Lovely food we all really enjoyed fajitas and the onion rings were lovely too. Was a joint birthday and the staff were friendly and made the birthdayd special with singing and a huge ice cream to share

Our third visit in a week (don’t judge us!!) and not bored yet. We went as a couple, then with another couple and then for my Dad’s birthday. Not a single complaint about the food and everyone said they are looking forward to going back. Other than the cocktails (excellent) the main attraction is the service. The staff are fantastic. Would definitely recommend…and have!

Fabulous service, great food as always. Always happy to accommodate special orders and nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly embarrassed my 18yr old son with a sparkler birthday song! Haha!

Great place to go for a vast amount of food choice. this is our second time going our first time was back in 2019

Terrible service and final once the food arrive it was disgusting. Burger was old and their speical was microwaved. I would stay away from here. All the staff are kids just out of school I presume the chefs are also from the quality of food. Not worth the money. Overpriced trash.

We are becoming regulars for each family members birthday! Recently both our children (aged 7+6 years) requested to have their family celebration at S&W! Great atmosphere, good food, helpful staff and fantastic service!

It’s definitely an American cowboy set up and very well done at that! Saddles, wagon wheels, wooden beams and cowgirls to take your order! Very good atmosphere, nice low lighting but you can still see your food. Very comfortable. Our waitress was attentive and the service was good. Burgers and chips were big portions and tasty. Not as hot as would have liked, and the chips were not as hot as expected. Otherwise the meal was satisfactory. Great for a family night out and some dishes I would come back to try. Definitely recommend!

We had 2 quite different meal experiences, Fajitas ( beef) was very good , steaming hot . Tasty and would recommend. Ribs , not very good , dry and quiet tough, chips were only just warm when served so to cold to eat by halfway through the ribs, and the corn on the cob was cold when served. Waitress did walk by and ask if everything was OK, but didn't wait for a answer. The atmosphere was good . If ! We revisit, will avoid ribs and try a burger.

Birthday meal good good and service. Do wish they would cater more for younger family members when it comes to a toddler eating with plastic fork that breaks easily it’s not safe or large glass and straw. Can you please consider fruit shoot bottles and smaller forks and spoons?

Got to our booked table, food took about an hour to come. It was sitting on the pass waiting to be taken. When it’s did come I had a five bean chilli, which was cold, when i asked for another it was not good for £16. Nachos were stale, the rice tasted like microwave rice and the chilli was just beans in tomato sauce. The dessert was nice but during it we were told we had to leave for another table, no warning or anything and only ten minutes after receiving are dessert. After we explained how long we waited for our mains, they walked away. The service was okay, some servers were lovely.

This was our first time at a Smith & Western and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was really tasty and the portion sizes weren't small in comparison to a lot of other restaurants. The service was quick and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Our server was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The only feedback would be that the outside / garden area looked tired and unkept with some litter strewn around. I know it's February and no one would sit out there, but it doesn't do the inside any justice and may put people off. We'll definitely return.

Normally goto the Horsham one. Went Midday during the week. A little quiet. Service was good. So was the food. Lack of proper Cider is my main bug bear at all thier venues. At least have one unflavoured version even if it's only in a bottle.

Last minute decision to visit our local. Great decision. such friendly staff, great food & desserts. Live music was a bit too loud, I could only hear the friend next to me, not the two across the table, although a great voice is was just too loud for an eating pub, where we went to catch up. But once the singing ceased, we could hear all above the pub music and finished our desserts catching up. Thanks.

Food is not great, very spicy, and even the beans for kids. Wouldn't go again. Staff are friendly.

All the food has too much added heat! We ordered different dishes, and each was spiced up. Why can't we leave food alone in this country? I have no idea! We even requested that it was not spicy! Two choices in the UK right now, spicy or bland, there's no in between.

We came here to celebrate our grandson's birthday. It was his choice, but we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We were really well looked after and everyone enjoyed their food. We particularly enjoyed being out in the lighter area.

We have been to the Lingfield S&W lots of times, my kids love it. Always a great experience but can be rather busy. Went for lunch this time. Superb service, best I have ever experienced. Visited here many times but the last couple of visits the main meals haven't been as nice. Had the chicken stack on this occasion and unfortunately it was very dry. Both the chicken and the chips. It's a shame as the restaurant is great and staff are lovely but would be very reluctant to return.

Abysmal experience. Took an hour for our food and drinks to arrive. I have coeliac disease and notified the waiting staff. Both of my orders not only came back with the wrong toppings, but contained gluten to boot! I had a few of the fries before I realised and am already feeling gut symptoms. Never again!

I’ve been a number of times here. The atmosphere is fun, the staff are always good. The food can be a little disappointing, but the rest makes up for it.

After a very cold morning into early afternoon of watching a football match in the freezing cold. We booked a day before for 7 people to visit the restaurant for my daughter’s birthday. When we arrived the whole restaurant was full of smoke. The windows were all open and the restaurant was absolutely freezing. We ordered Coffee and tea straightaway to get warmed up. We were then told the machine was broken so no coffee, tea or any kind of hot drinks were available. We all kept our coats on throughout our stay there. Very uncomfortable and annoying visit and I won’t be going back to that particular branch again.

As a visitor from the USA the reason I gave 1 star is that they would not serve a medium burger, I was promised medium well with some pink....but it was cremated more suitable to Dunlop than a real burger! totally dry and tasteless!!

Their Nachos is THE BEST!!! Lovely food and service. A bit grotty but thier cutlery is clean. And the service really friendly. Oh... and great cocktails. Also love love love that they have a large carpark.

This is a great place to celebrate birthdays, I booked a table with a special request of a not to busy table and they did their best to accommodate. The staff were absolutely lovely and we had great fun, the food was first rate . I highly recommend this restaurant.

For what this restaurant is, it’s pretty good. We went for the lunch menu today, which was £14 for one course, £17 for two or £19 for 3, all include a bottomless soft drink. I think that’s fabulously priced. Great place, lots of parking, food was tasty and plentiful. Only slight improvement I’d offer is that the parchment our quesadillas were served on was getting so soggy that it was ripping and going into the food. Would recommend visiting here!

The staff were very friendly, the restaurant was lovingly decorated and very festive. Atmosphere was great! Food was good, I had a Mexican chicken dish, which wasn't as good as I expected. The chicken was a bit dry, I"m not a fan of Nachos either but that was my mistake, as I didnt read the menue properly. . The burgers were delicious and the ribs too. They accommodated for two under two's, which was a great help. All round we had a lovely couple of hours and would definitely be going again. We'll done!

We visited early (4:30) on Saturday. The food was lovely, will definitely return. Due to being there quite early the restaurant wasn't very busy, a couple of large groups. Looks like a great place to celebrate a birthday, the staff all sing and get into it. I've noticed a few bad reviews about service, I can understand it. The guy who served us was brilliant, very engaging with my children, however he only came to our table when I caught his eye. I could tell he had forgotten us, I would imagine if the restaurant had been busy we would have been left waiting a long time. Despite not being busy, it was very noisy, you might want to take that into consideration.

Popular restaurant…enjoyed for Christmas the quirkiness. Space for large gatherings and parties. The food was delicious, ribs and buffalo wings…good portion sizes. One member had T-bone steak and was delighted! Hamburgers looked like high stacked burger certainly would not disappoint! Friendly service and looked after those with dietary requirements. Would return again!

Food was Excellent! cooked perfectly although chip portion is slightly on the mean side. Service on the night was terrible. Although our waiter was really friendly we were kept waiting far too long for drinks and food even though there appeared to be adequate staff on the floor. It didn’t feel like there was any management leading the team as I looked round watching several staff standing around that should/could have been serving drinks. Prices were ok, our bill for 4 adults with 2 drinking alcohol was £45 per head but again with service being so poor we only got to have 1 refill on our soft drinks which wasn’t good enough.

Met a few friends for lunch at Smith and western. The food was excellent. Our waitress Ali was so attentive and helpful. Good menu with reasonable prices. Thanks to our lovely waitress Ali for making it so special

Atmosphere was Great. Service was good although we had to wait 30 mins for our food (2 adult meals and a very young child meal). Having waited for a long time, we were VERY VERY disappointed with the food. The chicken wings were totally tasteless and COLD. It tasted like boiled chicken! Even the smell was not great. Sauce was non-existent. The ribs were better than chicken but by no means sizzling with taste (especially given the price of £25). The burger (kansas something) was pretty bland and there was NO sauce on the grilled chicken. No way it was worth £18. There was also NO signature sauce with food. All of the food was pretty EXPENSIVE. We have been to this place before but have not had this bad experience with the food before. Summary: Great atmosphere. Decent service. Very POOR food. Very EXPENSIVE.

Took the kids here a few weeks back I was really impressed. Great service, staff were friendly accommodating and polite. I felt very welcomed when I arrived and staff where welcoming friendly and had a smile on there face when we arrived which was nice. Great place to take the kids. Will definitely return Thankyou

The food is ok but we weren't impressed at asking for the bill and instead of it being brought to us, we were just brought the card machine with the total amount. We didn't realise until we'd paid how out of ordinary that was.. we weren't able to verify what we'd ordered and it seemed by the total that service charge was added without our consent.

Got there about an hour or so before closing time so it was pretty empty. Even so, the service was really slow and we had to continuously ask about our food and drinks order. The corn on the cob was cold when it arrived so not sure how this was missed! We came with our grand daughter and had to ask if she could have crayons to play with and would have expected this to happen as part of the service. Overall, food was ok but service was too slow. I can't imagine what it would be like if the place is full!!

Yes from the moment you sat down it was rushed the food was awful the main course arrived literally as we finished our starters, there was a huge long HAIR in my food apologies were given there wasn't a drink on the house offered or a discount on the bill we was then asked how was everything !!!!!!!! Over a hundred quid poor experience and won't be repeated in and out of the restaurant in less than a hour! AVOID

Been waiting along time to go here. Staff were brilliant. Friendly and attentive. Food was great, freshly prepared and everything was hot! Not like some restaurants u go to when things come out warm as they been left under heat lamps for ages.

Just brilliant, brilliant staff. They accommodated for food allergies and we're incredibly helpful. So kind and friendly. We left another pub because they hadn't sorted out, or catered for, allergies, despite notice. Smith & Western was a bit too noisy for me but their kindness outweighed this. Thank you so much.

A birthday dinner the other day. Slow, very sloppy service. Wrong drinks, starters and mains. The drinks... my wife's passionfruit daiquiris were made with jalapeño juice. A new ingredient on us.. Virgin mohitos made alcoholic. Kindly offered at half price... My sister in law requested no less that 3 times well done chicken wings. At the point of ordering. The starter of wings and mains had to be sent back to be cooked more. Inattentive waiters except one who mentioned about a service charge blah blah. Don't bother. It's past its best. They don't listen to requirements. God knows how they would be with an allergy. I wouldn't risk it. Finally sat right near the pathway to the kitchen and toilet. Lots of passing traffic. Lots of playing of triangles right near your ears announcing the many birthdays. I won't go again. It's time has been and gone. 5 adults. 2 children £277. Payed my share and walked out.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. When I went it was very busy but the service was still fanatic and the food absolutely amazing.

Last Friday my wife Jennifer and I had an excellent cowboy lunch at this restaurant in Lingfield. The service, atmosphere, food, music, dress, parking and gardens were all excellent. We were served by the top waiter Scott Woolnaugh dressed in full cowboy outfit plus Stetson...

This is the best Smith and Western we have been to. Lovely atmosphere, staff wonderful especially Emma so good at her job so efficient. The food was plentiful and delicious. Ample parking. We were a party of 4 having been to the races. The ribs were gorgeous. Tons of onion rings. And the ice cream out of this world.

Visited for the first time on Sunday. Loved the Mexican chicken and the biscoff cheesecake was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful and moved tables to accommodate us, swapping to outside seating as was so hot.

Cannot rate the food as we never ate anything, great looking place, very helpful and friendly staff, only downside not a great selection of beers, not even bottles

Our waitress ignored us all evening, so another member of staff who wasn't taking orders helped us. It's really disappointing.

S&W is a welcome break when cutting across country from Guildford -Dorking -Reigate - etc to Lingfield / E.Grinstead. It offers a reasonable coffee & toilets. The staff are young and friendly to all, and the carpark is large... We've never called in the evening, nor had a meal there so it would be unfair to speak on such. Sadly, this place APPEARS to lack leadership (in the day time) and it would benefit from a thorough clean, perhaps even a touch of paint.... it's themed on the Wild West but doesn't have to be a touch sticky..... In fine weather there's outdoor seating for many. Do stop & explore, it offers huge potential.....and some lovely 😁😁

I came here for my brothers stag do dinner after paintballing 15 minutes up the road. Great service, food and atmosphere. Price you pay matches the food you are served. Even had to take some away.

Booked table for 14 people for 7pm on Saturday through website. Got a call to tell us they couldn’t sit 14 people at busiest time on weekend. Told to call them back. After trying for 20 minutes to get through on the phone I managed...

Visited this restaurant and other branches many times and love the place, decor, music, ambience etc is fantastic. Previously had ribs, steak, burger etc and always fantastic. On this visit unfortunately I chose the Philly cheese steak which is something I love and have eaten...

Jade, our server, did super well serving our large party. She kept checking in on us and seeing to all of our needs. There was a wait on the food and a couple of last minute changes from the kitchen for the veggie options, but the food was well received. Ribs, burgers and combo were delicious. The team came together for singing and embarrassing attention :) with a belly buster pudding for my niece's 18th birthday. A super evening.

Front of house fantastic service and great attitude... but the food on my visit was terrible undercooked steak raw.. kids burger almost raw

Had a really good meal here but be prepared for lots of cheese and jalapeños on everything and then topped it off with a birthday bonanza sundae, which came with my very own cowboy hat 🤠 we travelled by motorcycle so I gave my hat to a very sweet princess to look after. We will be back :)

Straight to the point here, this place is fantastic, great atmosphere, good food and all in all a great time was had. I came away full up and fully satisfied, well done.

Myself & Family visited Smith & Western this evening for a Double Birthday meal & the guys in the restaurant didn’t batter an eyelid with arranging our Advent.. we’d like to phrase the Lady waiter (Emma) Especially she really put on a Good Show! Meals We Opted For: TNT Wings, Nachos To share, T-Bone Steak, Ribs & Chicken Combo, onion Rings, Sweet Caroline Burger & Mexican Style chicken with rice/Salad. All of the starters & main were of a good generous sized really well prepared too. The T-Bone was slightly well done for my liking but there was a Huge amount of food to prepare.. Finally the deserts we Opted for: Childs Mini Doughnuts, Childs Ricky Road & for the finale was the Huge Belly Buster wow what can I shall it was Huge we managed to share it amongst 4 of us!! Really good Atmosphere this evening, Good Food with a very acceptable Price too 👍🏻 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well worth visiting if you are nearby. The food is perfect and the atmosphere is something to behold. Friendly helpful staff and plenty of parking. I will be back in the future!
