Was in the cafe an excellent coffee shop and restaurant

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! The two stars is for the food, as it was great but let down by rude staff. Myself and friends decided to meet with partners and 2 babies for a catch up over Christmas at sinclairs bistro. I arrived with my partner, sister and baby and requested a table for 8 with space for 2 prams. The cafe was empty and there was lots of tables and space available. The waitress mentioned she would need to put tables together, which she did not seem not very keen to do. I offered to help which she then decided to place us in the middle of the restaurant and put chairs on the end of a table. As the restaurant got busy, this was an issue and the staff even complained to us that we were in the way although they seated us here. Not once did the staff ask for our order or provide us menus, we had to continually request this and when we asked for a drinks menu the waitress responded with “we have the usual”. After waiting an hour just to request a food order and where staff regularly ignored us, my friend requested a slice of toast for her 1 year old. The waitress made this difficult and said she would need to see what she could do as the kitchen was busy. For a piece of toast?! We all got to the point where we didn’t even want to request for a drink with our lunch as the staff made us feel so unwelcome. The whole experience is a shame as the food was great and put a damper on our get together over the Christmas period.

Breakfast was absolutely first class no complaints whatsoever . Everything was cooked to perfection.

Went there on Wednesday this week for lunch with friends, food was tasty enough although as I like my food could have been doing with either a few more fries or extra salad on the plate. Although a lot of people might think it’s a decent enough sized portion for lunch.

The cafe unfortunately is not so good as it used to be. The milk for our cappuccino was burnt, also no longer a piece of tablet included. I used to love their full breakfast but you are no longer allowed swaps so we go elsewhere for breakfast. Bacon roll was not that great, and Sinclair’s is now quite expensive compared to other restaurants and cafes in Inverurie.

Went in today to get a warranty job done on a watch that I bought in LA in July it was a citizens watch so 5 years warranty they wanted to charge me £30 to send it off even though its covered by warranty .I remember going in to get a Tag watch battery changed they wanted to charge me to make it water tight even though it was water tight when it went in .I just went to H Samuel's instead where there was no charge .

I had an appointment to have my ears pierced. I was a little nervous, but the female shop assistant put me at ease and was thoroughly professional. The other assistant, who I understand to be a senior manager, was distant and then left part of his surgical glove trapped in the ear stud. He left me without an apology or any indication of concern. The female shop assistant was able to sort out the mishap. Fortunately I've had no trouble with the piercings since coming home. However I am feeling somewhat mixed about the service I received today.

Not a pleasant experience trying to purchase something in the shop - and the cafe was no better. Waited 10 minutes to be served although the staff had time to chat and clear tables. Wrong drink served, it had to be replaced. The most expensive cup of tea and scone over £13 for two. I know everything is up in price but that was grim.

Excellent fish and chips. Batter was nice and crispy and fish could not have been fresher. Top marks to the staff also.

The bakery products were superb. Service was a bit slow to start as we had a baby but everything else was perfect

**Terrible ear piercing experience** My daughter and I attended Sinclairs jewellers in Inverurie yesterday to get her ears pierced for her 8th birthday. We were reassured by both the Sinclairs website, which calls the Inverness ear piercing system "fantastic, safe and simple" and by the Inverness website which says it is "safe and gentle". My daughter's experience was anything but. Both of the carriers got stuck on the earrings and then unfolded what felt like an eternity with her in a lot of pain as the assistants fiddled with the carriers to try to remove them from the freshly pierced ears. I had been filiming this to show her dad, but quickly stopped filming when I realised something was not right. That much was abundantly clear from the face of one of the assistants who was visibly panicked/stressed by the situation. I gave my daughter my hand to squeeze and as this went on I was very alarmed and asked the assistant what had happened to which she replied it had '"got stuck". By this stage my daugher was squealing in pain and uncontrollably crying. Thereafter I would have expected a high level of customer care but my daughter was told "it would still have hurt if it hadn't gone wrong" and "sometimes one gets stuck but I've never seen both get stuck - you were unlucky". I was quite frankly shocked and very suprised that I was asked to pay since in her own words it had "gone wrong" but I just wanted to get my daughter out of the shop as quickly as possible to be able to comfort her. I cannot believe they are using this system, especially on children, since there is a known issue with it. Having contacted both Sinclairs and Inverness Piercing today, I am no more satisfied that the system is safe or gentle, nor was there any improvement in the standard of customer care from Sinclairs. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Popped in for last minute presents for wedding gifts. Great array of stock and very lovely staff.

First class Jewelers shop and customer service, friendly staff in shop and the Caffè affa fine bacon roll and coffee.

Good choice of watches and jewellery with the gift wrapping service particularly welcome to add a lovely finishing touch to special items.

Having seen the advert on tv I was expecting something fantastic. Didn’t get as far as the cafe before we about turned and walked out. No customer parking either!

Got Links removed on two Tag Heuer in super quick time, picked them up an hour later.

Rude and unprofessional staff. My fiancé and I had went in to get her engagement ring resized. They clearly did a rush job on it as the band snapped 2 days after getting it back. Won't be going back and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Very helpful staff. Unfortunately I couldn't get what I really wanted and had to compromise but the ladies I spoke to were helpful. There are some beautiful pieces in store and I found the pricing to be reasonable and something for everyone. I haven't shopped in Sinclair's for a long time but would definitely go back in the future.

Absolutely highly recommend getting ring size enlarged at Sinclairs. I took 3 rings in on the 17th April, got a quote that was very reasonable 4 day's later. Picked them up today, they fit perfectly and look like new. Thank you so much. 💓 getting rings re

We were driving from Edzell to Inverness with some sightseeing stops along the way. After Crathes Castle, we ran into a blizzard and had to get off the smaller roads and seek shelter in Inverurie. My wife wanted a coffee shop type place so we were pointed here. Strange. You have to walk through a couple of different sections of a jewelry store to get to the cafe. Food options included Starbucks-like offerings (British versions, of course), but there was also heartier food available as well. Not my cup of tea, but my wife and daughter seemed to enjoy it well enough.

Daughter was there for her ear piercing, the most helpful friendly staff. Her anxiety was quickly put to rest. It was quick and left with a happy girl!

Been in a couple of times, since moving to Inverurie from Ellon, with my autistic son. He loves the cheese scones and bacon rolls. Fast friendly service. Food is tasty. Very reasonable prices.

Supported local to buy a ring for a milestone birthday. It was tempting to go elsewhere as had a ring of a similar value (£250) which I’d over 20 years old and still going strong. Just less than 3 years on the ring has broken in half. I take it back thinking they will be mortified and replace it. No instead the manager is very rude says you can pay for it you wouldn’t take a car back to a garage so don’t expect that service here. What do you expect after this length of time. Very unhelpful and my family have spent thousands there over the last few years in wedding rings and expensive watches which they could see in the computer. I’d go for quality at some larger chains which offer real customer service. Instead of being left like me distraught a from family which was meant to be a lasting memory is no longer

i was disgusted by the way i treated by the woman who served me she said that my pandora snake bracelet couldnt be resized which is rubbish because they can be she told me to buy a new one , then i asked about my thomas sabo bracelet to get cleaned to which her reply was it is fake which i was shocked about as i know quite clearly it isnt and she said i shouldnt wear it so much to which my reply was i havent worn it for a few years its been in my jewellery , i was applaude by her tone and will not be going back , i have been to the shop a couple of times and the staff were helpful and polite but she was so arrogant never again will i step foot in that shop .

Always excellent quality food here

In shopping with relatives as they were after a ring. Once all was happy it was onto the bistro for lunch. Good choice, friendly service, and reasonably priced. Pity we had no time for a cake though as they looked good, maybe next time.

We usually lunch here about every 2 - 3 months when in Inverurie so this was not an isolated visit. We booked by email and received a confirmation within 30 minutes. Upon arrival we were shown to a previously-requested window table which was a nice start to the meal. I was a little surprised that Broth was not an option but the Pea and Ham proved a tasty alternative and came as a very generous serving. We both opted for the turkey and it turned out to be even more generous! Several hearty slices of good white meat accompanied by the usual trimmings. My wife thought the main course was excellent but I felt the carrots to be a little overdone for my preference. However, by compensation the skirlie was delicious! I was too full to enjoy a third course but my wife had the Apple Crumble and it completed a trio of good dishes. As always, the staff were friendly, polite and efficient and well deserved a gratuity. Another extremely enjoyable lunch.

My wife gives wedding ring for resize one size up, after 15 days and was done one size down, to fixed this for proper size after mistake they did this in 5 minutes, they don't need 15 days, 5 min job and £42.50 ,

I often get great gifts here. Everyone is so helpful if you're not quite sure what you want. Recently got my daughter's ears pierced here too. Great service. Highly recommend.

Beautiful lunch at Sinclairs today

Lunch stop when shopping in Inverurie today. Glad I chose here! Met, seated and served promptly by a pleasant young lady. Opted for a tuna & red onion sandwich on brown bread. It was first class! Filling was very tasty and plentiful, bread was clearly fresh. Accompanied by crisp salad, coleslaw and a good serving of crisps. Will be back.

Great service, everyone so helpful and able to sort out my queries and create a pendent for me from an old piece of jewellery. Can't wait to collect it. Had lovely lunch in the restaurant 😋

Reasonable eating. Cosy. Disabled access lift could be friendlier to operate. Too close to tables for manoeuvring. Using it makes the person stands out and a member of staff has to operate it. Did not encourage our disabled person to want to come back.

Went to by a bracelet for my not born granddaughter , the woman who assisted me was fantastic and I got what I was looking for. I got this engraved with the baby’s name as well .

We were in Inverurie and needed a lunch. We decided on Sinclairs at the back of the jewellers. The atmosphere and service is nice enough as is the menu. Biggest issue was the amount of mayonnaise on our chicken and bacon panini. That pulled down which was otherwise quite a nice lunch.

Lovely jewellers. Bought beautiful bangles for my daughters flowergirls. Then went into their cafe, apple and cinamon scones are delish.

Nice restaurant, lovely warm atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food however was disappointing. Ordered steak sandwich with red onion. Unfortunately there was no red onion to be seen. The chips were slightly undercooked. The vegetarian stroganoff was tasty but rather watery. Overall an okay experience, but I don't think I would visit again.

Felt we were treated like criminals, husband and I split up, as he had money from birthday. I was browsing jewellery with an assistant standing over shoulder, she did not ask if she could help. While I was browsing a male came and said there was someone on lower floor to keep eye on, he then went into office. Guess who the person was Husband. I asked about certain jewellery and was told they would not have anything suitable for me !!!

I frequent sinclairs a lot but usually just the jewellery department and gift shop where the staff are always so friendly and helpful. I hadn't been in their bistro for a few years. We went in yesterday with my 18 month old daughter. The staff were lovely and service was very quick. The staff were also very considerate of us having a toddler with us. Editing to say I visited again today with a friend to have lunch. Place was packed and service was still amazing. Woman who served us was so nice. Food was great too.

Always enjoy a visit to Sinclair's when I'm in the area. The store sells a good range of quality jewellery, handbags and gifts whilst the restaurant serves delicious snacks and meals. The restaurant is clean and modern with beautiful tableware. Everything is about quality. Beautifully served sandwiches and lunches by friendly helpful staff. If I lived in the area I'd be there every week.

Not sure i would go as far as describing this place as a jewellers. "Glorified gift shop" would be more apt. A poor selection of cheap tat.

Just dropped in for lunch. As ever it was excellent. Lovely food and the staff are so helpful friendly and happy. Highly recommend this cafe.
