Simpson's Fried Chicken in Runnymede

Avoid at all costs they gave me food poisoning and was ill for 2 days I ordered a chicken wrap and at the time thought it had a funny smell to it but thought it must be ok how wrong was I A few hours later I was on the toilet and pretty much spent the next 2 days being ill with terrible stomach pains Please do not risk your health as they clearly have a major hygiene issue

Every time we come up this way to visit my partners parents we stop by Simpsons!!! This place has the most delightful seasoning on Thier chicken! Pretty decent prices also and the chips are outstandingly delicious!!!!

I asked for my chicken burger to be with everything and the other one to be plain and the new girl messed it up and I couldn’t do anything about it since it was raining and I was at home when I checked. I never EVER had this issue until this thing of a new girl came in.

I've seen a mixed bag of reviews of this place, but honestly my food was delicious and arrived hot via delivaroo. I had mixed chicken box meal and it was definitely enough food for one. Will definitely order again. Thanks team 🤜🏼🤛🏼

we went on the way back from thorpe park after finding it on google, the food was 10/10 and the staff were lovely and accommodating since we don’t eat chicken on the bone they gave us fillets for the same price £25.99 for 15 strips 4x big bags of fries 10 onion rings an apple pie and coleslaw you really cannot complain. love love love! definitely reccomend :)

Some of the best fast food chicken wings I have had in my life, so fresh and so hot. I would recommend the 20 wing box to anyone

I'm a Uber Eats driver and I love picking up from Simpson. Staff are always smiling, quick and polite. Absolutely LOVE this place and my main man at front desk. best chicken shop in town.

The staff is extremely rude, I couldn't even get a wet wipe from them. Obviously they don't care about hygiene

Recently I moved jobs and work in Chertsey now and there isn't many Halal food places around. Upon googling, I found Simpsons Chicken. When I went there, unfortunately there was no seating. I got a chicken burger meal and it was reasonably priced. For a quick bite to each for lunch this place is good to go to.

If you like to waste £20 on a meal for two on bland pale food then this is the place for you. Burgers blend in with the bun as they're the same colour.Says alot that even my dog turned his nose up to it.

The best chicken place I have ever been to so much better than Kentucky Fried Chicken much cheaper too😀 and you get more Chips. KFC's chips are just a mouthful at best. I'm updating this post because I got a fillet burger with cheese, chips and coleslaw for my mother and I yesterday 22/10/2022, a few things have changed the buns are different and taste funny, the mayonnaise is not the same they've changed it, it used to have a nice Tang to it and that is what made the burger the mayonnaise. Sorry guys very disappointed didn't enjoy the meal at all. Please go back to the way it was before 🙏🙏. I'm giving you only ⭐⭐

Despite them making a mistake they're trying to blame uber or deliveroo for their employees mistakes. And was rude on the phone and not even listening to what i was saying. Food is great but people working there have some horribly disgusting attitude.

Friendly staff, we're out of town people and we're staying local as went to thorpe park. Staff great, chips cooked fresh and chicken burger pretty decent. Crum on the burger tasted "different" but overall good experience and about £12 for 2 fillet burger meals including a drink. Not too shabby.

Staff are fantastic, food is always good. For an out of London chicken shop this one is good, but doesn't really compare to others I've had in town. A couple of critiques: More mayo needed in the burgers, sometimes the chicken pieces are dry.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, it's just another chicken shop, better than KFC, maybe. Average service, run by the usual chicken shop Indians, dodgy amateurish shambolic menu signage. Good for your locals no need to travel more than 5 mins to get here. Takes cards though.

Banging munch 10 x better than kfc Edit: august 2022 Food in here has really gone downhill. I’ve been here a few times in the last few months and the chicken is absolutely inedible. I have just binned all my chicken again and won’t be coming again. The piece of chicken was far too soft/greasy/mushy and the wings have the skin all falling off and not even in a good way. Won’t be back here for a very long time

the worst food i have ever had, chicken greasy and smelled off ,the gravy was just grey coloured tasteless glue like substance , chips just frozen generic awful cheap rubbish , still trying to get grease off my hands , please if this is your Friday treat or your just hungry please stay away from this place i don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to write this one , i cant tell you how awful this food was honestly please stay away from this place i have had poor food before but this place is the worst takeaway i have used in my fifty years i have not the words to describe how greasy their chicken is and the foul smell went in bin and ended up with cheese on

I’ve been visiting this chicken shop since 2015 when I lived and worked nearby. It is soo much nicer tasting than KFC. As I’m not that local anymore it’s hard but I do swing by occasionally for chicken fillets…. So tasty! Cash only but there is a cash machine at the bottom of the shop next door.

This place is always very busy, and there’s a good reason for it, one of the best fried chicken shops around. The fillet burger is on point. Could slightly drain the fried chicken a bit better after it’s come out.

If carlsberg had a chicken shop this would be it, Amazing staff and out of this world food.

Used to be a good place to get quick takeaway but of recent their quality of service, above all has dropped immensely. There's a particular male employee there that makes it his duty to be dismissive and rude to me and even underpacks my orders of recent. I shall not be returning for a third chance at poor service.

I saw the reviews were good for this place so I thought I'd give it a try (18/11/2020). Collected my takeaway. Once I got home and bit into one of the chicken drumsticks, I saw it was still pink inside.

I wondered when I moved to Chertsey why the town doesn’t have a KFC. After trying Simpson’s I now know why. Colonel Sanders has posters of Simpson’s on his bedroom wall. 5 stars out of 5 doesn’t do it justice.

Dear God this place is awful, please avoid. I bought a chicken burger from here and it gave me full blown food poisioning. This was the first takeaway meal I have had since the lockdown, and I have spent the last few days vomiting into a bucket. They obviously do not clean their utensils, either that or they must have not cooked the chicken properly as I have not felt so rough in my entire life. If you have an enemy that you wanted to get rid of, take them there, and all your problems will be solved!

Horrendous 🤢🤢🤢🤢 As I'm writing this review I'm still suffering from food poisoning that I've had since last night. All our friends call this place the 'dirty' chicken and for good reason. I didn't even eat the old looking chicken though, I had a couple of their onion rings that tasted like they had been deep fried over and over again. We've all sworn never to go to this place again. You have been warned.

This in my local I go into here all the time but I only order chips 3 times I’ve had the burger it’s been dry and also last time I ate it I was sick that night chips are amazing from here the guy let’s me have them for free but I think they should cook the chicken fresh and not leave it under the lap for so long! Overall amazing and they are so friendly

we came here this week on Tuesday night whilst visiting thorpe park , my wife got BBQ Burger and i got 3 piece chicken meal the chicken was nasty it had sat under the heat lamp for ages no moisture left in it, the chips where under cooked and greasy overall a nasty experience one i shall not repeat, forced to us have pot noodles the following night if locals feel this pllace is good then they have obviously not ventured forth to better eating establishments
