Simply Patisserie in Eastbourne

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea and sweet treat. An excellent range of cakes, to include gluten free options for my wife. Staff very attentive. Top marks.👍

We came across this place from other reviews. Great little cafe with an amazing choice of fresh home made savoury and sweet food. The daily specials looked incredible too! Will definitely come back and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

1st visit today and I'll absolutely be returning very soon. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. I've passed here before and due to the name, thought it was just a coffee and cake place.... but they do the most wonderful breakfasts, paninis, quiches and salads, all of which are really reasonably priced. My friend was very late to meet me and I didn't feel rushed or pressured into ordering. Fantastic little place that's well worth a visit. But do book if going at lunch time as people were being turned away as its so popular.

After visiting three other cafes where dogs (very well behaved) were not welcome, this cafe not only made us welcome but went above and beyond. We had a lovely, well priced brunch. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The whole cafe, including the toilet, was really clean and well cared for. Highly recommended and far superior to the other less friendly establishments. If we could give 6 stars, wd would!

Great place for quiches salads and breakfast. Great service from the lovely older lady with the purple highlights. Avoid the young stroppy version that nearly led us to leave.. Now I have to convince my partner to go there in the future. Hence the four stars, otherwise it would have been five

We unexpectedly needed to be in Eastbourne at short notice, and due to the bank holiday, accommodation was in short supply. This fantastic cafe in South Street came to our rescue providing great quality breakfasts and coffees. Two yoghurts with granola and fruit and avocado, smoked salmon, and poached eggs on toast saw us through until teatime. We've been in before for coffee and cake and will always look to visit when we are in town. Thoroughly recommended.

A vibrant atmosphere. Excellent selection of delicious food, efficiently served by friendly welcoming staff. Definitely a favourite 'go to' restaurant at any time of day.

I visit Eastbourne every year to see an elderly aunt and always take her to Simply Patisserie for lunch. As always, it was splendid; friendly service, excellent food and very clean. The quiche is homemade and so delicious, as are the pastries. This is an amazing little cafe.

We live in Eastbourne and have been here a few times. Excellent selection of hot and cold food and the salads are amazing, best selection we have seen. The choice of beautiful cakes and pastries are mouth watering. Staff are very friendly. We would certainly recommend it.

Our favourite cafe in Eastbourne! We don't live locally so each time I visit my mum and dad (who are in their 80s) we bring them here for lunch-a great choice of healthy options like salads and jacket potatoes or lovely fresh sandwiches and cakes-a great menu with something for everyone and the family who run it are so lovely! Happy, welcoming and friendly, we like it so much my husband and I even went for breakfast last time we stayed in the Premier Inn which was just as delicious! I have been here before and the food and staff are amazing. It’s certainly my favourite place to east in Eastbourne and will return again.

I have been here a few times with no problem. Today I ordered Shepherds Pie but when it came it was full of vegetables and no meat. I explained the issue to the young girl who took the food away and said she would bring the menu so I could choose something else, The next minute I had a very rude Turkish woman in front of me who works behind the counter asking what was wrong with the Shepherds Pie. I explained that it was full of veg and no meat and she proceeded to inform me that it was Vegetarian Shepherds Pie. I told her that it did not say that on the label and she replied it was a vegetarian restaurant. i said I did not know that and she rudely replied that I had been there a few times and I should have known. I calmly asked her why she was arguing with me. She said she was not arguing and asked me if I would like something else. Her whole manner was quarrelsome and aggressive. I asked for Jacket Potato with cheese. As she walked away she turned around and said "I don't argue but clearly you do". I said "That's enough" and followed her to the counter. I told her to forget the Jacket Potato and asked to pay for my coffee. She declined to charge me and I went back to my table picked up my coat and left. Absolutely no excusive for such rude aggressive behaviour to a customer.

The food and drinks are outstanding in this establishment and the staff are amazing. They are always welcoming, professional, attentive and efficient and it is a pleasure to come here. Would thoroughly recommend.

Highly recommended, so we tried it yesterday lunchtime. Only went to discover it and have only a coffee and cake. Only two places available. Rather tight and noisy but vibrant. Obviously very popular. Obliging staff but our table was not cleaned well. The food at the counter, salads and cakes, did look appetising. Ordered one coffee with cold milk and one slice of carrot/walnut cake. The milk came was hot and oat milk! This had to be changed. Who wants oat milk? We shared the one coffee and cake. I was charged an extortionate £9. Will not be returning.

Lovely little cafe, good range of cakes and breakfast to choose from. They also have smoothies and juices. I had a cheesecake which was delicious. Definitely will come back to taste different snacks.

When you go into Naz's patisserie you will know you are going to be welcomed with love from Naz and her food.It is obvious she is passionate about giving a vegetarian experience to suit all tastes. Whether it be for a simple coffee or a full blown lunch you will not be disappointed.The cleanliness is exemplary tables are cleaned and disinfected after every customer not just the tables but the chairs too!! You know I always come in every time om over in Eastbourne just wish you were in fareham and could come more often. Well done to you!!

We came in here for breakfast having driven 3 hours from Dorset. We had a poached egg with salmon and avocado on toast. Absolutely delicious. The place is spotless. The interaction with their customers was lovely to see and the place was full of regulars, that always tells you a lot about a place. Toilet very clean. So good we returned before our journey home for a cup of tea and slice of cake. Super moist and delicious. Can highly recommend. If we ever come to Eastbourne again we will be sure to pop in!

I have been coming to Simply Patisserie for quite a while now. I have never had a problem with the food as its always fresh and well presented. They have a wide range of Mediterranean dishes. Also cakes etc etc. As I was leaving today Joe showed me his plate. Mmmmm....... Looked delicious. I love taking friends who are visiting and meeting local friends here. The drinks are always reliably good and the food homemade. It has a lovely friendly atmosphere and plenty of nice individual touches.everything is always beautifully clean and I sense that the hardworking owner takes a real pride in how everything is done. Excellent value too . It's handily situated between town and sea and not far from the Towner Gallery and buses stop outside.Strongly recommended.

We were lucky to get a table at this cafe for lunch because it was so busy with many tables reserved. We were made to feel very welcome and the lady who took our order was very efficient. The coffee was very good and the homemade soup delicious. All the salads looked freshly prepared and tasted excellent. We went again the following day for a coffee and a slice of cake which was lovely. They have got the price point exactly right for the food and we must continue to support these independent businesses to ensure they continue to thrive.

We came in for coffee and cake and were really impressed with the quality of both. We have been touring Sussex and this was by far the best place we tried. The choice of cakes is amazing and we bought some to take home for friends. Everything seemed beautifully fresh and well presented. The staff seemed to know many of the customers very well so I assume they have a very loyal clientele and I put this down to not just the superb food but really good customer service. Popped in to Simply Patisserie today for a toasted sandwich which was served with a beautiful fresh salad of roasted veg. Excellent quality ingredients and well presented food as usual and so much variety. Although the staff were super busy the service as always was quick and efficient. My wife and I frequently visit Eastbourne and tend to choose the Pomodoro for dinning due to the exceptional range of dishes offered on the menu and the consistent high quality of all the dishes. Just how they mange to do it baffles me. The selection of good modest priced wines is not so brilliant. Service is excellent if sometimes seeming too brisk for relaxed dinning.

Popped here for a coffee but the display of home made cakes and amazing treats are a feast for your eyes! Full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu also available - all home cooked - lovely friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. We will be visiting again - often!! No hesitation in recommending Simply Patisserie, Eastbourne.

Three of us had brunch at this lovely place. The food couldn't have been better and the owner and her staff were lovely, friendly, in a genuine way. The main problem was deciding what to have, as everything looked so good. I will go back, again and again.
