Fantastic food but no wheelchair access at the front door, it is very narrow doorway and a small step into the shop.

I would recommend the simple Simon bakery in King street Bangor Co, Down, food is excellent staff are also excellent only one downside it's not wheelchair friendly as it's a bit difficult to gain entry.

I was hearing all about the sausage rolls and me be a fussy so and so tried Simple Simon's pie shop! I was blown away, it was the nicest sausage roll I have ever had and apparently they are hand/home made, the pastry was just so light & flakey. It was perfection!! I know Greg's is around the corner but there is absolutely no comparison!! The staff are lovely, more than helpful and have the patience of Jo with some customers??? But what a lovely place and all home made in the premises and not expensive which honestly in this day and age you should be putting your prices up!! How do you survive?? Can't wait to try one of the chicken pies and the cherry pies!!

What can I say about this place? It’s hard to find a reason to visit the big city of Bangor and in-fact I used to find reasons not to visit but this Bar has changed all that and I now welcome the pilgrimage up to Costa Del Bangor like many Belfast inhabitants enjoyed before me in the heady summer days of the 60’s. Ginge’s is the perfect infusion of Aladdins Cave and Willy Wonkas chocolate factory and will have you going down a rabbit hole Alice herself would have marvelled at. A place where amazement and wonder are around every corner due to the atmosphere casually swinging from one of being on a special ops mission behind enemy lines with a crack team of Bangor veterans trying to compete a poker hand to one of casually chilling in front of an open fire with live music resembling days gone by whilst having craic and prime ministers questions with clientele you simply wouldn’t come across in your normal everyday life. From Olympians, musicians, tech savvy professionals and Dothraki bloodriders, Ginges has it all under one roof. Add to this an owner bringing in guest chefs to cook up bbq fare fitting of its surroundings and you found a niche in the hospitality sector. Ham hocks, lamb legs, sides of beef and multiple corn snacks are laid down in a feast fitting of a banqueting table of the tudors themselves. A unique experience indeed and one not to be passed up
