Sicilian Pizza in Cardiff

Updated from 5 stars to 2 on 27/03/24 Service was horrendous. Estimated between 20:25-20:45. Nothing shows up. Updated to 21:00, and after a call at 21:00 they said 5 mins. Food finally showed up at 21:17. Over 30 mins later than latest estimated time. Food was luckily warm but the chips weren’t cooked and soggy. As was the garlic bread. When I enquired about a refund off the driver all he said is I’m busy working. Very disappointed as I’ve been ordering from here for years. Not how you should treat any customer let alone a loyal one. Avoid at all costs. If any issues be prepared to fight delivery company or do a bank charge back for a refund.

He is so rude. They are so unprofessional. I ordered and then call me again and again being so rude with me . Pizza is full of green chillis.

Really bad service today. Delivered pizza which wasn’t cooked also forgot to make slices. They didn’t deliver those topping which we wanted. Poor service so don’t waste your money.

We got pizza today this is our first and last order normally we got sauce free from other shops they give us one pot with two extra large pizzas and charge 3 pounds pizzas was full rubbish very hard and no toppings at all (don’t try don’t waste your money) thank you

If I could give 0 stars I would Ordered delivery food was stone cold burgers like rubber and kebab was rock hard and stone cold would never order there again

My sister asked for an order to be collected in 15/20 minutes, and they said they will have it ready then. She called them back in 15 minutes to ask if it’s ready to be collected and the man said they’re going to start making the meal when she arrives at the shop. She was in a rush and needed the food ready at a certain time which she expressed, but they will only make the food when the customer is in the shop. Because of this she cancelled the order and the man started shouting at her. Terrible service.

Ordered a kebab for collection and they took old kebab out the fridge and heated it in the oven right in front of me. It wasn’t even cooked, the chicken was raw and rubbery.

Disgusting customer service!! be rushed over the phone with my order. I ended the call as I will not order from here, to then being called back with abuse and was even offered to come down if I didn't like it so in other words threatening me 😂😂 I have read other reviews and I'm not the only one this has happened to Shocking disgusting and no shame. I am actually suprised a place like this is still open. I wouldn't eat from here even if the food was free.

I ordered a family pizza deal from this place it cost me 13.99 last time for a large pizza 8 chicken wings, garlic bread and a bottle of pop. I ordered the same thing again I paid £15 and they sent me a 10” pizza 4 pieces of garlic bread and a can of Pepsi I phoned them up to tell them they got it wrong and I’m paying £15 for a small pizza and some garlic bread they were rude and did not correct my order I will never ever order from these again and I advise you not to. Really p’d off about this I feel ripped off.

Food is great (definitely recommend the fried chicken if you like spicy chicken) with good prices which is honestly the only reason why we go there but the customer service can improved by not rushing customers to order and telling them that they're "wasting time".

I ordered food tonight and the service was shocking! This man who worked here was very rude when I placed my order over the phone to collect. Another co worker who was his wife was also very rude and laughed in my face when I said I didn’t have cash only card to pay for my food. And the food wasn’t even that nice. Disgusting behaviour I don’t want to order ever again. This is out of order

You try to talk he shouts like a rude street hustler , it’s kind of intimidating and makes you think this kind of guy would probably spit in my food .. there is no proper menu no shish Keebab just processed meat cheap burgers frozen crap chicken burgers frozen chicken pieces not fresh , deserts come frozen takes 4 hours to eat what a complete load of crap !! Don’t order from them people it’s same price for a small medium or large pizza they got no system all they want is are money and kill us with salt overdose ..

Food disgusting. I called to complain about food and had a mouthful of abuse from them. Here is picture of food I could not eat supposed to be kebab. I cannot believe how I was treated. This good is definitely old food reheated.

Service was shocking. Staff were very ignorant and rude. Chips were cold and brown. looked like they were fried in old oil. Pizza crust was tougher than a biscuit. Terrible. Absolute disappointment.

Amazing takeaway. Food always tastes great and I always have quick delivery times. They have very good customer service as well. I always use this kebab shop as the pizzas, kebabs and fried chicken are easily 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it to everyone..

Wow would never try and make an order from here again the guy who answered the telephone very very rude no manners what so ever, rang back as forgot something on my order he then said why you ringing back for I explained I’ve forgotten to add something to my order in the end cancelled as I did not like his attitude.. awful disgraceful should be sacked

First 2 occasions of ordering, excellent. Ordered tonight, 20 mins after delivery time had passed, phoned and told "Won't be long"...another half hour still not here. Phoned again, told 4/5mins......half hour later, rang again. Very aggressive man on the phone told me to stop ringing as they're busy, me calling is holding up orders. Anyway, eventually he admitted our order had not left the shop. Actually said "if you were here, I would smack you in the face" - wow! Called me 5 mins later to ask if I still wanted the pizzas....no thanks, not after threatening violence. Vile man, disgusting people, STAY AWAY.

Not great manners on the phone , asked for no onions or peppers , it came with them , but the dough was nice and it did arrive quick and at the time stated , but i wouldnt have minded waiting a little longer for the pizza i actually asked for

We have visited here plenty of times, however the last two times have been atrocious they have made over pay and when we ask for our change they get into there car without us having a chance to say anything. Resolve this quickly

After 1 hour of ordering my food I contacted the restaurant for an update to hear my food is here and ready cooked just waiting for another driver which could be 30 mins longer, I immediately became concerned with the time my food would be sat there, the gentlemen on the phone assured me I would receive the best quality food , after very little thought I asked for a refund and he said he cannot do that and for me to wait for my food, giving me no chance to Express my concerns before he hung up, 1 hour 35 minutes later I receive my food and the pizza is like cardboard and my partners kebab was wrong, wrong salad and no sauces, not to mention not a good standard of food(very dry and crispy) this was very annoying but we understand things can get missed, we contacted the restaurant in hope they could help us with the problem for him to say theres nothing he can do, we asked for some sort of resolvement but he was rude for a third time and told us to contact you for a refund, which in itself is rude and not very unprofessional, i am more unhappy with his customer service and to hear he is the owner only worrys me more. It annoys me i cant give them 0 stars, 18 pound isnt pocket change for me to waste on food i havent eaten its disgusting

Great food, hot, quick delivery, chips weren’t greasy and kebab was huge!

I wouldn't usually give a bad review, but I was really annoyed at the bad service I received last night. I've worked in customer service my whole life, I know how busy things can get and when tickets come falling through things can get tough, but it shouldn't impact the quality of the food. My pizza was soggy and stuck to the box, the center of it I had to peel away with a knife, and half the wedges weren't cooked properly. Not only that it arrived 40 mins late, we ordered from this takeaway as the estimated time would be 30-45 minutes, this time had doubled. It's eta was 21:05, I got a text at 21:07 saying it would be late, surely just eat/ Sicilian pizza realised it would be late when they hadn't left by 21:00? I then received the same text at 21:11 and I decided to phone the takeaway to find out where my food was. They said brashly that it would be there soon and the delivery driver was leaving, so why did I receive a message at 21:32 saying it was on it's way? Why lie? The food arrived around 10 minutes later. The delivery driver was rude, and there was no apology for being so late, she shoved the pizza in my hand and walked off. Even if you're in a rush good customer service is paramount in the food industry! Especially if you know you're running so late and you've not done your job properly. This was the icing on the cake. As mentioned I work in hospitality, I've worked in a fish shop for 5 years and we have queues out the door on a regular basis, with me cooking on my own. If I had been that driver I'd have took the time to apologise, indeed I'd have offered vouchers or a free meal, or a refund! I got no empathy the poor service I received from either phone call to shop or delivery, there was no accountability. My food cost me £16.88 for 1 pizza and some wedges, which realistically is quite expensive if you take into account the local competitors. You pay a premium at a takeaway for quick easy food, this experience was none of these. I was up at 6:30 this morning and found myself not eating until almost 22:00, when it should have been 21:00. Overall I'm appalled at the service. If I'd have been offered compensation on delivery/ during my experience (my phone number was attached to delivery note) then mistakes would have been recognised, and my custom valued. Indeed in the past I have returned to restaurants/takeaways if I've had a bad experience if their poor service has been accounted for. Instead I've been left annoyed and out of pocket for food that we frankly barely ate. As someone who works for minimum wage this is really upsetting.

The food here is amazing, especially the pizzas (they are not crusty and dry) and the pricing is cheap!! The staff were very helpful and friendly so the atmosphere was not too awkward. Many people came in and it became quite busy. Many customers seemed very close with the staff, i assumed they were regular customers, which is nice to see as it had me assured as a first time customer.

I order at least once a week. The last four or five orders, have either been incorrect, smothered in greese to the extent where the wrap is like tissue paper. Everytime we call and make a complaint, we do not get a word in, the man shouts and says we've ordered wrongly. We never ask for another order to be sent out because of the attitude. We once ordered chicken meat and chips which is always our order, as we do not eat anything else from sicillian. He sent us chicken strips, when I complained he said if we don't had chicken meat, then we send strips.. However on the call he didn't state there was no meat, no apology was made, in matter of fact, he said 'I can not do anything now, I am busy'. Very rude, never accept that they are in the wrong, and won't be eating here again. Poor customer service.

Ordered my food tonight and the way they speak to there customers is disgusting I’m surprised they still have custom because this is not the first time I thought they were having a bad day the last time but once again he was rude laughed when I said my food was dry the last time so could I have more sauce said that he’d have no sauce left the amount of times people say it which clearly says something WILL NOT be ordering from here again! Need to realise that your disrespting the customers that keep your business open!!!

The only reason I rated it 1 star is because I cant rate it any lower! Absolutely appalling meal. Chips were soggy, garlic bread wasn’t cooked and the cheese on top was like plastic. Donner meat was very dry, hardly any sauce! Wouldn’t feed this meal to my dog!!! 20£ wasted, if I wasn’t In work then I would have sent it straight back!!!!

Such a rude delivery driver having a go at me down the phone and even swearing at me as well because he couldn't find my address . When he got to mine he was kicking off some more with me because he was given the wrong address by the take away pointing his finger in my face telling me I need to put the right address in next time. Awful food. Ordered chicken pieces and chicken strips but I seem to have got 2 portions of very greasy, chewy, bland chicken dippers. Chips and cheese was alright, but not fantastic. Disappointed and won't ever be ordering here again. Not worth even half the money I paid for it.

Nice food but I ordered a chicken wrap expecting to be chicken diner as it was in the chicken or donor wrap and it came as 3 chicken supper in a wrap. Was not happy especially as it was the end of a good night and I was hungry

Naff pizza, had Bolognese sauce on rather than tomato. garlic bread was sloppy and smotherd in oil. Chicken wings were burnt. After I ordered they added 25 extra delivery time. Not good.

I ordered lamb but I got donner kebab instead and salad was misssing. I called the restaurant and told the stuff that it was wrong. He said that they didn't do lamb. When I said lamb was in the menu, he started shouting at me saying that I was British, what did I know about lamb and donner and some nonsense stuff. I tried to stay calm, asked a refund. He kept shouting and said ask your money back from Just Eat. I called Just Eat, no solution. It's the first and the last order of mine from this restaurant.

Fast delivery, however part of my order was wrong and also 3 cokes were ordered, got 1 coke and 1 pepsi. I'm fine if they don't have any cokes left, but forgetting 1 drink and now getting another is unacceptable.

Ordered at 6:30 .. delivery time was suppose to be 7:00.. Good actually arrived at 8:45.. The food was freezing cold.. then couldn't get through to them via phone.. I ended up driving there and taking food back to restaurant. No deposit or anything offered just said we will replace your food by which that time I didn't even want it 😤😤

Food was delicious and surprisingly hotter than expected. Food arrived by first ETA so was actually 20 minutes earlier than restaurant time. Fully satisfying, only thing is kebab was a little greasy- but you expect that it's a kebab!! Out of the mixed kebab I personally recommend just chicken as the lamb donner is quite spicy. Am most definitely ordering here again if I fancy kebab and pizza! Especially as restaurant listens to notes added.
