Food was tasty but my gosh was it oily! A thick pat of oil and naan breads were burnt. If they get this sorted then they deserve a 5!

We visited this Restaurant several times in past and always enjoyed the meals and atmosphere. Our recent visit was bit let down. Food was not as before and lack taste. Ambiance on Thursday night was okay. Our vegetarians dishes were let down, either very salty or not up to standard. Some dishes were not there or not available. Price wise still value for Money. Management please bring back your usual standard and taste.

Absolutely quality meal and experience. Went with my mrs, we have been unable to find a decent Indian restaurant in St Albans where we live, so drove down. It was completely worth it. Amazing food - I had the lamb rara, chana masala, paratha, garlic naan and chilli paneer (and chips and rice!) and the mrs had butter paneer. Not only the food but the staff were incredible, went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I also noticed that they knew the names of several people coming to get food as a takeaway, shows that people come back when the quality is good. We will definitely be back.

We ordered the food from this place for my son's first birthday for about 25 people. The food was delivered in a box that could keep the food warm. We served the food around an hour after delivery the food was still hot and fresh in the month of February. Everyone loved the food. Tasty, not very spicy or oily. The quantity was generous. I know where i will be ordering food for my next party!

We were so pleased to have found this excellent local Indian restaurant. We've lived in this area for many years and had lots of great Indian places to eat, however just lately most have sadly deteriorated. So after searching and listening to reviews we found Shobhas. Last evening was our first time and we were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted and loved the modern design and atmosphere. Needless to say the service was first class. As for the food; it was delicious, hot, fresh and full of flavour. For starters we shared dahi papdi chat and samosas then for mains chicken dhansak and a tandoori chicken with a Dahl and aloo gobi with breads. Our only negative was my tandoori chicken was too salty, which they offered to replace. I had an excellent pinot gris, my husband had a long cold beer. So it's highly recommended and we will most definitely be going back. They also do free local delivery which will be useful

We are loyal customers so last night My mum ordered a takeaway our delivery was suppose to arrive at 20.40pm but we found out our delivery was sent to someone living in stanmore but we live 5 mins away from the restaurant. We was so disappointed by this as my mums name, number and address is on the receipt which is scary to think that anybody can be doing fraud.

I visit here regularly and I’m never disappointed. The staff are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. They can make a dish off the menu to suit your dietary needs. The food is most definitely the best in the area by far. Joanne

Most amazing evening ever, Brilliant service and Hygiene taken care off ... have to say food quality was 10/10 and more importantly the service levels was off the chart. It was busy on Weekend and still the food was great. It all came out piping hot & the portions are very big! Ordered too much but no problem to take it away. We had a small party of 20 guest and i so haapy to say everyone thought it is one of the best indian restaurant in North London.

Excellent experience at Shobha’s Rasoi the other day. We were 12 of us with kids and Shobha’s staff took excellent care of everything, starting from drinks to food. The Mughlai menu options are great, especially the lamb chops and the grilled menu options. Mains were also excellent both for veggie and non vegetarian people. The icing on the cake was the paan kulfi that was amazing. I haven’t had anything similar elsewhere. Will recommend it to everyone for a relaxed evening with good food that is served by the most hospitable staff.

It's been a while since we last enjoyed a visit to Shobha's Rasoi so we were really looking forward to it, having enjoyed previous meals. We were not disappointed. In fact we were delighted. The appetizers were generous, imaginative and, for us, unique. The flavours were outstanding. All the rest of the food was beautifully presented, fresh and flavoursome. Loved it all. Staff are attentive, friendly and the restaurant worked effectively for us within Covid restrictions. It was also very busy being well frequented with local Indian customers. We're from Leeds and shall definitely return next time we're in Wealdstone.

Best Restaurant to go to under current climate.Well kept clean and social distance maintained.Excellent host .Very Good staff and service.We have tried other outlets in the area but nothing like Shobha’s Rasoi.You know what you get , excellent tasty home cooked food .Chicken dishes are well prepared and presented.Ample choice for vegetarians.There special Daal bajias.Corn curry and egg curry a must.I would recommend this restaurant for consistent meals and tasty. Tried this restaurant during the “eat out to help out” period. Customer service is amazing and the food is great too. Since I am a vegan the waiter who served me was very helpful to check with chef as to what I can have and what I can’t. Masala poppadum are really tasty but spicey so bear that in mind when ordering. Will definitely be back!

Visited as a guest in the Sobhas Rasoi restaurant for dinner just today. We were entertaining friends from India, and enjoyed our side table. We chose to stay indoors - to enjoy the air conditioning . I just want to say that, in addition to a nice Indian meal, we had a delightful waiter VASANT,.He had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. He recognized that we wanted time to visit and did not rush us.He and other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. We especially enjoyed the special bar drinks, the cucumber/cilantro infused VODKA MARTINI and the GINI was great. Please give our thanks to the Manager(SAGAR) and others staff, cook .What a great place!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Whenever i will get a chance to eat outside i would strongly suggest SOBHAS RASOI

The chef caters to all dietary requirements and frequently comes out to visit the customers to ensure they are happy and satisfied. Great restaurant and I highly recommend it. First Restaurant we visited after Covid 19 Relaxation.What treat we had.Firstly Congratulations to Shobha’s Rasoi for complying with Social Distances and all carefully planned safety.The food was extremely fresh and healthy and tasty.All the dishes were carefully spiced and served with care.The chicken dishes were very tasty and nice.Vegetarians had plenty of choices.Egg curry was excellent.Accompanied with Nan and Rice.The ambiance was very good despite social distances.Highly recommended.The staff are friendly and helpful.Did everything to make your dinner enjoyable.Price is reasonable.

I have been this restaurant recently with my family and kids. Family friendly service feeling like home. Amazing food served with varied choices. Staff and chef are very helpful if you have any specific demands. We need to speak if you have any specific questions regarding food allergies or dietary requirements. Chef always visit customers whenever he gets time to ask about taste of foods and special demand.

Apart for the decor, Shobha's was a big dissapointment. Food was a let down for both veg and non veg.Did not like mogo cooked in inferior stock cube seasoning. Makai palak was lacking in palak and makai but was overpowered with bread like flour not my definition of makai palak. The chaats lacked in chutneys and authentic flavours. Even the dips for papads were readymade sauces bought in bulk usually served in takeaways.Chicken tikka was much like boiled chicken. Overall not suitable for an Indian palette.

We enjoyed the food and the service very much. Two families with kids. All dishes were good and the staff made good recommendations. We order dahi papdi chaat, daal vada, tandoori prawn and chicken, lamb chops. Try the desi chicken as a main along with daal palak. Deserts are homemade and not be missed. Get some food tips from Sagar, the manager. Top man!

I have been ordering from this restaurant from the last 2 years, never left review for it which is shame. Anyway better late then never, for us Shobha’s Rasoi is goto restaurant as the currys are absolutely amazing. I never ever had any regrets whatsoever I’ve ordered or ate in the restaurant. My usual order is always crispy bhajiya, chaat, paneer chilly dry, paneer tikka dry ( tasty marination), Dal Makhani ( always order this), palak paneer, paneer tikka masala, lachcha parathas, garlic naan, butter naan and jeera rice.This restaurant is a paradise for vegetarian and yes the portions are generous I have given 4 star just because the area is bit dodgy and had a bad experience while we left from the restaurant near the car park. So I’d advise to go bit early to have dinner or you can always order and take home. Keep the great work team Shobha’s rasoi.

First visit, came after reading reviews. Food was lovely, tasty without being too oily. Staff were lovely too. Have booked again for my parents anniversary.One thing though, I ordered a takeout of methi chicken & jeera chicken ( starter) but he packed Jeera rice instead !

This is my 3rd visit to the restaurant and Shobha's never ceases to amaze me with their vast collection of dishes.We had vegetarian, non vegetarian, Jain and gluten free people. All of us left more than satisfied with the food also the ambience and the music really adds to the flavor of dishes. Last but definitely not the least - the service is as magnificent as the dishes with the chef making sure we had our requirements and tastes met and the staff providing us with the best suggestions and recommendations.The whole experience makes you feel as if you are part of a extraordinarily elegant and organized orchestra.

This was our first visit to Shobha Rasoi as we are not local. We were very impressed with the welcome we received and this was matched with fantastic food and friendly service. One of us is gluten free and we were impressed at how much of the menu was suitable for such a diet. Thank you for a great experience and also really good value! As we sat down a little girl on the table next to us was sick, before we could get our coats one of the staff moved us from our table to another table. The food is tasty, service was good as well. 6 of us went at about 6pm on a Sunday. Would go again.

Just moved to a new development in the area and ordered food for 8 people. Everyone was impressed from the starters - mix grill, kebabs, lamb chops to the mains prawn curry, lamb Rogan josh panner masala - all very tasty! I noticed Cobra on draft and a full bar when I collected the order so will have to eat in next time. Will make this my regular as its so close!

We were celebrating one of our friend’s son’s birthday.. Rasoi is a Hindi word meaning kitchen.. and Shobha is an Indian female name.. well everything that came out of Shobha’s kitchen was exquisite.. the starters - lamb chops, hariyali chicken, Chilli paneer & main course - tarka daal, malai kofta, chicken bhuna, Hyderabadi lamb biryani, peshwari and other nans were all yumm.. authentic Indian.. they do very good kulfis for desserts.. i’d the gajar ka halwa which was great as well.. very nice ambience with the wallpapers depicting Kenya’s Serengeti.. all the food went very well with Kenyan Tusker beer.. Highly recommended!!

Tried it first time. Being an Indian by roots and veggie we keep trying various restaurants. I will have to say it was a definitely a good place. I had heard about it already hence went to try out.

First time visiting here and it was lovely, service was perfect and food was delicious. Décor is really nice and seating is comfortable. We ordered a selection of starters and mains, but what really surprised me was the desserts, we saw them being served and they looked interesting. I would say save room for these as if I had had my way I would have ordered every single one. they change them slightly everyday. The mango looked interesting and didn't get a chance to try, however we all loved the passionfruit one. I would return.

We went there yesterday with family and has a wonderful experience. The manager and the service waiter was great and we received amazing service. On the top of that, the food was very tasty, with the Indian fusion desserts also highly recommended.

My 2nd visit here & we were really not impressed. The quality of the food was poor seemed like the chef just threw together the dishes. The yogurt had an off taste to it. When mentioning this to the owner it was brushed aside.

Shobhas is a regular haunt for me. Been there many times. Sagar and his team are exceptional, and the food is always good. Only one question, how come the owner is still so thin ?

had read reviews about this place and decided to try it. food was served within 15 minutes of our order - there was 1 other table occupied. commented to the waiter for fast service and he said they were not busy. while trying the food, realised reason for fast service - chicken was precooked. depending on what one orders, ready made sauces are added to the pan. dishes didn't taste great as spices had not set into the chicken. a total disappointment.

A fine addition to the well established selection of Indian restaurants in north west London. Unusually located on a less desirable high street the food and presentation make the effort to find parking etc worth it. Quality north Indian good with reasonable portions. All dishes were finely created - however for vegetarians there were no truly exceptional dishes to differentiate from the competition. Overall very good despite this.

We have eaten out at the restaurant a few times and love the friendly atmosphere, good service and generally tasty food. However, when we order takeaway we always feel slightly disappointed: the vegetables, sag and baingan bhaja have a baby food texture and it is not obvious that the spinach is fresh as advertised. I would love to be more enthusiastic as it is our local curry house.

Having booked the recently added function room to the restaurant, this fit our requirements perfectly for the annual belated Diwali gathering for about 35 of us.

Our family of 12 enjoyed a lovely dinner here. The food was authentic and full of flavour and the restaurant had a great ambience. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. This area is spoilt for choice when it comes to good indian restaurants but this place stands out. Would highly recommend.

This little gem is easy to miss on the High Street in Harrow & Wealdstone....but once you visit it you will go back. The décor is Indian with a modern twists and a few artefacts reminding us of India but also Africa from where the Indian Gujarati owners originate from.

i placed a take away order and my items were ready as when stated. As it was my first order I was given free pappadums and salad. I had paneer makhani, aloo brinjal and naan. all were delicious and spicy but not very hot. Would definately visit again either as a sit down meal or a delivery.

This has now taken over our first choice for Indian restaurant in town. With the mighty, lamented The Vintage now gone Shobha's Rasoi is the new bees knees. The food is truly first class and we will visit each time we are down. Well done!

I don't usually write reviews, but this restaurant is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been too. We had a baby with us and the staff were so kind and accomadated so well! Food was so tasty, and you can tell that alot of care and effort has been put into making the food. We had lamb chops for starters and they were probably the best lamb chops ever, very soft and fresh! Would highly recommend this place :)
