The food is amazing here, large portions, fresh, really delicious. The staff were very nice and friendly. We lost something while we were there and the staff were really helpful in trying to help us find it before we left. Will definitely be back!

Small, welcoming restaurant with high quality, tasty food and excellent staff and service. Would highly recommend the grilled menu as the meats tasted amazing with great portion sizes. Received complementary traditional rice pudding for afters which tasted absolutely lovely. All staff including chefs and waiters/waitresses were really helpful and even went out of their way to help look for an expensive item which had been misplaced during our visit. Would not hesitate to eat/spend here again!

I've been here about 2-3 times and can honestly say it's the best Persian Iranian food I've ever tasted. Unfortunately, on my 4th trip , from what I can tell, the food taste is going downhill. Flavours just weren't their on the meat or the rice. Still generous portions and a beautifully presented food - just lacking in taste. I will still go again to give another chance.

Very expensive a portion kobideh £17 and a lady with hejab working ther bring 2 items without I ordered .and the end she put in my bill but I didn't like it maybe I hadn't enough mony .

First time trying Persian food and I picked an excellent location. There was too much to eat but the flavours were new to me and everything deserved attention. A colourful mix of chicken and minced lamb with saffron rice dotted with tangy red berries was enough as a meal on its own. Alas, the rice won and I couldn't clear the plate. However, there is always room for dessert and despite the two delicious kebabs fighting for room in my tummy there appeared a small space just big enough to squeeze in a pureed rice dish. Finished off with a couple of cups of Iranian tea, sweetened with a single sugar cube, my taste buds recovered from the green chilli I had bitten in to and savoured the familiar taste of a light tea hiding behind of the exotic infusion whatever magic herbs they used in the tea. Definitely a place to return to and go through the menu. The staff could not have been nicer and everything was served on time and with care. Well done to Shiraz!

After reading the many positive reviews of this place, I had high expectations for the food. However, I was left feeling disappointed from my visit. The food was pretty average and didn’t match the expectation with the high prices. It was about £19 for a quarter leg chicken and some plain rice. I also ordered humus and flatbread, the portion of humus was very small in comparison to the massive flat bread. The vibe did give a very homely feeling although was a bit outdated in some aspects. The toilet lock didn’t work either on my visit. The staff are very friendly and did offer everyone complimentary rice pudding. Although personally was not a fan of this. It’s still be worth coming to visit here as there are many positive reviews from other reviewers.

Was visiting the area and found this absolute gem by accident. The food was amazing. All freshly cooked - you can watch the chef so you know. The chicken wings were the best we’ve ever tasted. Service was friendly but not overbearing. Sorry we didn’t have time to stay for the tea we were offered.

We had our second visit at Shiraz restaurant. This is definitey one of the best Persian restaurants in the UK. The quality of Chenje and Barg was wonderful. The owner is a very nice person and he was kind to us by bringing complimentory desserts.

Lovely food, just wish the location was better for parking and safety.

The food quality was great. Saffron rice and barg kebab were well cooked and flavored. Mahiche was so delicious. They offered saffron tea with ferni, a wonderful dessert suggestion.

First time trying Persian food and we decided to go here after seeing good reviews, and this place didn't disappoint! The workers are really nice too, good experience and would recommend. The place is quite small though so a little crowded but not too bad. I don't usually like baklava but I liked it from here! Really enjoyed the saffron ice cream too. My family enjoyed the rice pudding as well.

Amazing place, food is beautifully prepared, presented ,and amazing flavour, the mix grill platter is to die for . Also comes with 2 massive plates of beautiful Persian rice. The faloodoh was amazing, was given rice pudding as it was complementary and lovely.

Have eaten at this place many times and never disappointed. Hope they keep their standards high. The meat is very tender and delicious, melts in the mouth. Highlight is the free rice pudding at the end. One of the best ever tasted.

I've been visiting this place for so many years I have no idea how long. They treat everyone so kindly and really make an effort to accommodate everyone. The food is amazing, really authentic Persian. This is a family run business. . It is a small place, and you are sitting in tight spots, but something is so beautiful about it. The staff always accomodate and make so many adjustments for their guests. Love this place, love the ppl, May Allah sbt bless them with so much more Barkat, so they can open a branch in Leicester hahaha !

This restaurant came highly recommended but unfortunately it was a major miss for us. Hummus was watery and tasted more of tahini than anything else. The food I think truly lacked the flavor we've come to see in other similar restaurants and it is not cheap. The seating is cramped and some of the tables are placed in very inconvenient areas. The hosts seemed really nice, but it could not make up for everything else. Overall, felt like wasted money. I would skip it.

This is by far the best Persian restaurant in the UK. It is also better than many in Iran itself. You get what you pay for, definitely needs to be experienced if you're looking for an authentic taste of Persia. The owner clearly has a meticulous vetting process with his suppliers and only gets the best money can buy. Then you have the generous portions and the excellent cooking of the meats which is some of the best barbecued lamb I've ever tasted. I really can't fault this place.

Nice small cosy restaurant, feels nice and relaxed. Staff friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is relaxing. Background is nice and calming. Asked staff for home made sauces with the grills rather than ready made sauces. Staff advised Persian does not have sauces. Normally you smash the roast tomatoes and make your own sauce. So I did that made an interesting sauce out of hot chilli, pineapples and smashed tomatoes. We had the meat grills and vegetables grills. It was all flavourful. I’d say that the flavours and spices were blended by the chef’s amazingly. Basically you will not be disappointed with the food, atmosphere. Restaurant was clean, tables set nicely.

It was a lovely place. Their traditional pot tea was great. The waitresses were very polite. Even served rice pudding on the house. Food is expensive. Would recommend the mixed plater for£ 53.

We visited Shiraz on a Saturday evening and it surely exceeded our expectations. They served the most tender and flavourful chicken with the Best Saffron rice that we have had. The Persian tea and rice pudding was the best way to end our meal.We were served by Honey and she gave us the best service. Will definitely recommend this place and will be visiting soon❤️

Went with friends after reading a few reviews...never had Persian food before...am currently on a low carb diet but sinned very badly cos food was AMAZING.. tantalising and tasty, plus the staff were so helpful in explaining the menu.

We went in as a family of 6 last week and the service and food was amazing. Honey was an amazing hostess she was very hospitable and kind, she recommended some great dishes. The rice pudding was delicious (and I am someone who hates rice pudding). I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Feels like home! Authentic Iranian restaurant, the food is freshly made and the portions are decent. Food is made to perfection! The staff are very polite and offer excellent service. There’s a soft oriental music playing in the background, and they offer complimentary sweet. I definitely recommend this place!

Not worth the money. Hummus tastes very bland, bread is charged. Chicken and kebab lacked flavour. Cramped up seating. The food lacked flavour really bland. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great food always worth the wait. The only issue was with the service we requested for some deserts after the meal and was advised that they had non left, but when we were paying we was dealt by one of the managers/owners they asked how everything was and we mentioned everything was really nice but we couldn’t get any deserts which was disappointing, she asked what we wanted and that’s when she advised that they in fact do have the desert we had asked. We appreciate that the manager sorted that out for us but a pity that the waiters was not wanting do their job. I will always recommend this place for anyone looking for great halal food but do call to book in a table in advance.

Restaurant food was very good and it came out quick but cooled really well. The environment is family friendly. The price is quite expensive , and the staff didn't inform us that the pineapple fresh juice was finished when we ordered 3 and received 2 . We did have to ask for the bill 3 times which was a little frustrating. The baklava was not nice . I would not recommend. The platter was good . Overall it is worth a try if you like Persian food. Parking can be hard to find. There is parking around the corner but can lead to like a 5 minute walk.

This place isn’t that large and has limited seating but they serve quite the Persian cuisine. The manager of the hotel is also the owner and accommodates each customer individually. BBQ is nice and the serving portion is large; we ended up taking half the order as takeaway. The complementary dessert by the manager was a nice touch to a family dinner.

It seems it has now changed name to Kolbeh! Chicken and kabab was very good , small plates were good , but vegetarian gheimeh was so overcooked, it seemed it has been melted from frozen! The vessels they had used to serve food was copper and had strong smell of metal that was hard to tolerate! Service was good . But a boring sad music was just destroying appetite! They have room to improve and raise the standard .

Food is soo bloody good, it's so flavourful and feels like the food is made with so much love mind. The service is top tier, they make you feel like your dining at your uncles or aunts. Atmosphere is sublime, small and narrow building that creates such an intimate atmosphere. Overall its like going to your grandmother's for dinner, food feels tasty, wholesome and made with a lot of love. The vibe is chilled, relax and peaceful and you can go here on a date, with family or even just mates catching up. 20/10 would highly reccomend

Very nice place. The food is great, we had lamb Koobedieh which is definitely delicious. The owner of the place is very kind and generous. He gave us Fereni as a treat which I am very glad that I tried as will always have it when I come. Of-course coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended. Went here for iftar, group of 7. Great food, good service. Everyone really enjoyed. It was really quite busy, as the restaurant has limited space, but the staff managed to take good care of everyone.

I wouldn't call this place authentic Persian food. Ordered a Ghorme Sabzi which was extremely bland, how does it not come with limes inside? Had to order extra lemons with my salad to substitute. Prices are high but quality is low, very fatty and smelly meat. Unfortunate to leave such a review but I truly believe they should up their standards.

Travelled to Birmingham for work and was recommend this place by a colleague who lives in Birmingham. 6 of us went as I wanted open my fast there. Traditional decor, good, friendly service. Order was taken promptly and food arrived a couple of minutes before the fast opening time. I ordered a mix grill and all the meats were cooked perfectly. The chicken, for me, was slightly dry but my colleagues thought it was perfect. We all felt it had a good atmosphere and the food was great. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you are a fan of Middle Eastern food and quirky food places in terms of decor etc.

Unpretentious and homely restaurant serving solid food in generous portions. Potato salad and aubergine starters were a cut above and sesame flat bread excellent. Lamb shank a tad underwhelming for the £19 price tag. A bit pricey generally given the area and no alcohol policy didn't appeal. A glass of red would have gone down a treat. Lovely staff.

Fresh and tasty but little bit expensive

I ordered a mixed grill, chicken wings, prawns, and extras with two other friends. The seating in the restaurant is terribly cramped and awkwardly set. The food was NOT served on hot plates so everything went cold very quick, they served us rice with a cube of butter in it which had not melted by the end of our meal (ridiculous). The chicken wings and prawns were extremely small and lacked flavour, definitely not worth the price that they’re charging. The chips/fries were pathetic, the naan bread was rock hard and the rice was cold. The only positive things I have to say is that the mixed grill tasted average and the staff were welcoming and friendly. When I got home I had a stomach ache for an hour or two, I will never dine here again. So disappointed 🤦🏻‍♂️😪

Good food - the joojeh and koobideh kebabs are definitely better than Colbeh a few stores down the road, never had a bad one here. Same for the tea which is excellent. The place itself is a little dated and ropey but you can't go wrong if you want quality food and friendly service.

Went to shiraz for a family birthday. We ordered the mixed grill. It’s disappointing to see how this restaurant has gone down hill since a few years ago. I’m Iranian, therefore well aware of the quality and taste of Iranian food. The barg smelt bad, not marinated enough, chenjeh was very tough, koobide was tasteless and there was nothing saffron about the chicken. The rice was under cooked and couldn’t smell any saffron in the rice. Unfortunately would not be returning. Hopefully it will go back to the standards it use to be.

This place used to be good, with lovely authentic testy Persian dishes, but for the past few times the quality of food has been downgraded sadly, specially last week went there with Family and The rice was way overcooked felt and tasted more like New Born baby food very very Soft and in other hand the Kobida was unCooked and you could see the Whiteness in side kebab. I doubt will be visiting again.

Brilliant Persian food experience!! Delicious starters, breads, fabulous lamb grill served with a delicately flavoured rice, all fresh and so enjoyable! Baklava simply devine! Unsure of the name of the gratuitous pudding..this tasted delicious!! Thank you for excellent service, despite being busy...for giving reccomendations, your patience and explanation of dishes! But most of all MASSIVE thank you for giving us a wonderful dining experience!! Happy New Year to you all !!

After 2 attempts of been turned away with my guide dog, found this jem. The staff were lovely, food excellent and great value for money. My persian companions enjoyed there kebabs and traditional meals, I had the best persian meal ever. You shouldn't miss the wonderful herbal tea.

Excellent food, very quick to be seated and food was served within 15 minutes. Would recommend the mixed kebab skewers and chicken wings.

Nice place for Iranian food. Staff are relatively welcoming. Food was decent. Starters were fantastic. Main meals were ok. Meat was nicely cooked but bread and rice were a bit dry. No parking. Free parking on nearby roads behind restaurant.

One of the worst restaurants in the city of Birmingham. In terms of serving food.. and their food is not fresh at all. And the manager of the restaurant is rude and arrogant.
