Shepherds House in Bracknell Forest

Frequent visitor to SH. Last night took extended family for birthday celebration. 4 people all ate off the 'Supper Club' menu (3 x 3 courses + 1 x 2 courses). When the bill arrived it seemed rather more than expected. On examination correctly showed the 4 'set prices' but also listed 2 of the starters as additional separate items , adding around £13 to the bill. When I queried this, the server apologised and went back into the system, then presented me with a reduced bill. As we were in a hurry to leave I failed to re-check it, but when looking at the receipt this morning I noticed that one of the starters was still showing as an additional item. Now kind of regret the generous tip I left. Not entirely the servers fault - apparently their system does not automatically assign items if the Supper Club deal is used. Shame really, the food was good and the service friendly. I shall be checking the bill with a microscope in future.

Mother’s day roast dinner. Great service questionable food, what a shame. Set menu @£28.00, nothing on the menu to notify if you wanted 2 courses or even 1 course. Special’s board still “on show “, but not available when you try to order. Family meal for x6, 5 of us had 2 courses, 5 x roast dinner, unfortunately the 2 x roast beef was very grisly, a great shame. Big negative: All 5 x roast potatoes were overcooked and dry(why did the kitchen release the food ?, as soon as we complained, a dish of freshly cooked potatoes appeared almost immediately, so obviously they knew that they had made a mistake ! Puddings great. Unfortunately on that basis, we won’t be returning.

🇬🇧🍻🥘 Located off beat between Bracknell and Windsor this well lit, lovely country pub restaurant has good parking. There's a warm welcome, long bar clearly serving all the brands we love and great food with a well engineered menu. Check out our supper photos! Service with a smile from Julie, our waitress who was friendly, efficient, and checked on us during service. There were plenty of guests when we dined so I recommend a booking. Fair prices and this restaurant also accept Tesco vouchers, which is a bonus! Highly recommended great British pub, very clean and presentable interior, suitable fir any occasion. Thanks, guys! Visited as a group of 6 for a birthday. I have a very severe gluten allergy and struggle to find places that I can eat at safely. I had the turkey breast roast dinner and was very impressed. They made gluten free Yorkshire puddings and subbed the stuffing for a sausage. It was great to be offered an extensive menu as opposed to a salad. Thank you for being inclusive and welcoming. Will absolutely be returning.

We are regular lunchtime visitors and the food is usually very good, Today was no exception. Service was a little slow but it was a fine Saturday and the restaurant was particularly busy. Cathy was helpful with our dietary requirements. We have made another booking.

Always felt this was a lovely place to go to eat, staff very welcoming, food very good and good value however within the last year the menu option has been very poor, there is very little to offer for vegetarians or other dietary needs, feel they need to catch up with the times a bit here!

We visited for Christmas Day and have done for the past few years. The food is always excellent and Christmas day was no different, with a good choice if you didn't fancy the Christmas dinner. A complimentary Prosecco was a very nice touch as was the service from the very friendly staff. In fact we were so pleased we came back twice more during Christmas week with extended family and had a perfectly cooked Steak. I will most certainly be back.

Had the best Xmas turkey dinner at the shepherds last week. One of the best yorkies I have every had and red cabbage was banging

Once again The Shepherds House has come up trumps. We went on New Years Eve and had a great meal, nothing that was not spot on. My Sea Bass was fabulous. I enjoy my meal piping hot so it is still warm as I am finishing it - and it was. Thank you and looking forward to our next visit - which is this Sunday for Brunch. Then the diet starts.

Beautiful inside and out. Welcoming and friendly. Happy staff that went above and beyond. Drinks flowing. Child assisted with WiFi Food was amazing. Fresh and piping hot. We decided to call in after being let down by another establishment in addition it was the first visit in about 6 or 7 years as Shepherds House had gone downhill. We booked online and were able to get a table for 30 minutes later as we needed to travel. We were greeted by friendly staff who promptly found our booking and we were shown to a table. Drinks order taken promptly and delivered to the table. Food ordered shortly after. As they were fairly quiet, the food arrived in very good time and each course (we had 3 in total) were lovely.

Me and my son came in xmas day for our Christmas dinner. The atmosphere was perfect, smiles on the faces of all the staff and customers. My fillet steak was to die for!!

This a pub with a lovely atmosphere for a Sunday Lunch. We were there last weekend and I had Garlic Mushrooms and the Slow Cooked Rib of Beef. Food was really nice, cheerful and timely service made for a relaxing and enjoyable meal out and no issues with anything.
