Typical locals pub everyone was friendly fairly priced , come across as our B&. B was round corners gave lol bit vibe as the Jockey but was a great night

Two evenings full of fun! One night a super cover-band (Loot) was playing, the other night we enjoyed karaoke with Terry. Great atmosphere, friendly people!

Terrible bar full of aggressive regulars. And staff who'd fight you as well even with their kids in their arms. Worst pub I've been in for years. Avoid avoid avoid.

Such a lovely local little pub. The staff are very accommodating and make you feel very comfortable/welcome. Definitely would recommend for a cheap drink and fun time with your friends!

New owner has recently taken over. Great Karaoke on a Thursday and Sunday night

Not sure I want to venture into this tired old pub in mundane Margate looking at some of the regs who hang out the front door with their pints, snouts and roll ups! Raucous language inside the place the other week and went by there one weekend afternoon and three punters came running out hurling abuse at each other followed by glasses and bottles! Mind you the police like this type of establishment - if they need to speak to someone about a certain matter and they're not indoors they know where to go!

Sheldon's public house in Margate, Kent is a lovely pub on the High Street, it caters for pool and dart players as well as music lovers, The staff are wonderfully helpful and polite. The pub is very clean and the toilets are spotless, the atmosphere is friendly and everyone is made to feel welcome, a pub to definitely visit if you come to this seaside town on the Kent coast!

Fed up with walking through fights and arguments that have spilled out onto the High Street. The latest one, today, involved a machete. I had 3 grandchildren with me at the time and the oldest one was very distressed.

Staff are friendly but to much drama in the pub shame then a fight.

If your idea of fun is putting on your pathetic football shirt and watching football all Sat afternoon with other plebs then this pub is for you. If that is not your idea of fun then it definitely isn't.

Stopped by to watch a World Cup match. Good screens, excellent pool table, polite service and cheap beer. Only disappointment was no ipas on Draught. Enough said.

A typical no nonsense sports pub. Beer is fine and I like the stands installed so you can lean against a bar and watch sport while drinking.

Nice staff, cheaper beer than most in margate, really good band on the bank Holiday Monday.

A great place for people who enjoy sports - a TV in every direction to catch the action!

Had a great pub meal here, good fresh cooked food. A1 pub. A good buzz, must go again. Loved it. The shared platter at £6 is super value.

Go here quite frequently. A real 'regulars' pub. Serves good quality fresh food at lunchtime and early evening . (Kitchen shuts at 8.00pm). A friendly place with darts and a pool table . Has a rear heated smoking area. Currently all beers are £2.50/pint Mon -Fri 11.00 to 18.00. Sky sports is shown Some will find it noisy and it has very subdued lighting. Dogs and children welcome

Un lugar excelente. Un típico pub británico. Una buena variedad de cervezas, etc. a precios muy buenos. Televisión deporte. Varios eventos incluyendo karaoke los jueves. Comida disponible hasta el 18. 00 frente a las tradicionales comidas calientes panecillos sotuated en las Highlands. a 5 minutos de la calle de la playa principal.

Friendly and reasonably priced, clean and well set out

Ce pub est convivial, bruyant mais animé. Il propose plusieurs "activités" : fléchettes, karaoké (vous pouvez choisir votre musique c'est génial et très bonne ambiance), billard, etc. Il y a une petite terrasse arrière et des tables extérieures à l'avant du bar. C'est vraiment sympa.

He estado aquí bastante pocas veces ya que mover a Año margate ladt licals y siempre encontrará la amable y acogedor. La última noche fuimos a el karaoke y tuvimos un tiempo estupendo. Se alentó la había una variedad de canciones y talento todos y alentaba. Noche de diversión

Los turistas canadienses... aparecimos para un bocado y una pinta. Nos dijeron que no podíamos groseramente conseguir comida?! Pedimos nuestra cerveza y me senté en una mesa frente a la bebida como el ambiente dentro era no es muy acogedor. Fuimos al otro lado de la calle para chip de patatas de una tienda porque por alguna razón (porque somos canadienses?!) no podía comprar cualquier de Sheldons.

Recuerdo este lugar desde la década de los '2 cuando fue llamado el Saracen's Head. Algunos miembros y ex-miembros de Hawkwind solía frecuentar, y en consecuencia, muchos músicos locales no demasiado - que fue uno de ellos. Incluso me hablaba a Lemmy en una vez. A pesar de su imagen, él fue muy agradable para mí y mis amigos; un caballero. Todos lo eran. Nik Turner utilizada para beber allí también. Hoy en día, re-nombrado Sheldons, es un pub bastante estándar. La cerveza es buena, el personal bien pero llena, y no pude probar la comida. La clientela era un poco, digamos, desaliñado, pero era bastante agradable. Un buen lugar para una noche con los muchachos.

This is a lovely pub. It has been there for years and you may be put off by the scaffolding next door.....don't be....I have only recently moved to Margate, in January this year, and it is a great pub. Good food, nice drinks, nice people that work there and nice people that go in there. What more can I say, except, GO THERE!

Staff was really friendly. Pub was busy drinks were really cheap. Well worth a visit serves food and racing on big screen.

Popped by on our first night visiting the area, we heard a live band so called in. Not very busy for a Saturday night despite the band which weren't that bad. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonably priced drinks :)

Visited Margate with the family during the kids half term. Margate was packed on our first day but managed to find this pub with a very reasonable menu of cheap lunchtime bites. Beer was good and the locals and staff were very friendly which was nice. We ordered 7 meals of jacket potato's and sandwiches which we would have expected to take around half hour to arrive. After an hour and an extra pint I had cause to ask how long our sandwiches would take to which they could not even find the order. Eventually they found our order and I was informed it would take a few minutes so I went off a little bemused but happy. 30 min later and still no food I once again complained as I now had 4 very hungry and very grumpy children. The very apologetic manager gave us a free round of drinks and his assurance that our food would be next out of the kitchen. Guess what 30 min later I demanded a refund and took the kids to Greggs the Baker. This pub was not busy and the kitchen was in chaos. I can't imagine what they would do if they had a rush on!!
