Fabulous restaurant. We visited to celebrate our son’s 21st birthday and we all loved it. The food is exceptional, it was difficult to decide what to have as it all sounded amazing. I had the chicken Kyiv and it was wonderful. My son had fish and chips and declared it the best he’d ever had (we’re from Yorkshire so this is high praise!) The staff were lovely which I think is almost as important as the food when eating out. Nothing was too much trouble and they created a really nice relaxing atmosphere. We can’t wait to go again next time we visit Ambleside. Many thanks for a really enjoyable evening 😊

Called in here for a quick lunch stop, and was pleased to get in on a busy day. The menu looked very tasty, as did the food coming out - the cakes looked amazing - but I opted for a bowl of soup which came with artisan bread, and a drink. The soup was full of flavour and came with croutons as well as the bread, a nice touch. Delicious and good value.

Wonderful place, wonderful food and very attentive staff. We came for an evening meal with our doggy. The staff were fantastic, the food was delicious, very well priced and made the night a great experience. Highly recommended.

For a slightly different kind of afternoon tea, this is the place. The fashion theme is fun and the food, good. Attentive service and have enjoyed it every time I have come here for afternoon tea.

I booked a stay for my friends birthday. From the moment we stepped into the hotel the customer service was 5 star, the staff were very attentive and friendly. We had a treatment in the spa, my therapist was called Emmanuella and my friend had Alkina. It was absolutely the best massage ever, every knot in my body is gone, truly a incredible massage, the best we have ever had. We cannot thank everyone enough for our wonderful stay!

We had a lovely meal for my dad’s birthday, food was delicious , we enjoyed fish and chips and we tried all of their delicious pies The staff were just great! They went the extra mile to make my dad’s birthday special - a lovely evening was had by all - we will definitely return !

We are staying in Ambleside for a couple of nights, and by chance came past Sheila's cottage. The food was very tasty, portion sizes were good, food well cooked and the service was excellent. Also quite central to Ambleside. We had a starter and main course. Vegetarian, seafood and meat dishes available. The lady who served us was very helpful and polite, and we received our food quickly.

We visited on a Friday night right at the beginning of March. I was unsure how busy Ambleside would be so had booked in advance for a table for 2. Booking required a card to be registered in case of cancellations, but the process was pretty straightforward through a secure card payment site. When we arrived we had a warm greeting and a choice of a couple of tables. I was pleased that the tables had plenty of space on and around them, we weren’t being penned in for maximum numbers like some places. The menu had a number of tempting options and some specials for the day. My wife opted for soup of the day and then lambs liver (both of which were excellent) and I had pork belly and then salmon. The portions were well sized, beautifully presented and the flavours promised on the menu were all present and correct. We were celebrating this weekend and mentioned to the manager whilst he was uncorking our champagne and all of the team were informed and made a point to congratulate us. We left feeling really pleased with our choice, delighted with our meal and felt that the price was really reasonable for the service and food we received. Would absolutely recommend.

Nice cosy spot for dinner with cute relaxed atmosphere, candles, and decent food. Friendly attentive staff. We had pie and steak and kidney pudding and both were lovely.

Prestigious 5 star hotel in the heart of Knightsbridge.

I visited The Berkeley for an event that took place in their main conference room. The current building works made it difficult to locate the correct entrance but once inside the staff were super helpful in getting me where I need to be. Nothing was too much trouble. We also enjoyed a reception afterwards with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Here there was plenty of room to network and a stream of waiters ensured that we were fed and watered on a constant basis. The tasty little bites, such as mushroom arancini and lobster tarts, were almost entirely delightful and quite moreish. Good fun all round.

My husband and I booked this restaurant for dinner, arriving for our table at 1830. The surroundings are very cosy, the staff friendly and very efficient. We shared a platter for our starter which consisted of parma ham, slices of pesto chicken, pulled pork, olives, sundried tomatoes and sourdough bread. Everything was beautifully presented and there was plenty of it. Mains were steak and kidney pudding, mash and seasonal vegetables for me and my husband had lambs liver, mash and vegetables. Both dishes were excellent and plentiful and piping hot. I had to pass on a dessert (full) but husband tucked into a slice of baked cheesecake. He said it was delicious. We drank a bottle of Malbec between us. I had a coffee instead of dessert and we finished with a G and T each to round off our evening. There were a number of customers during our sitting and the atmosphere was very good. We had our table for 1hr 45 mins but as it turned out our table wasn't re-booked so we were able to stay seated and have our nightcap. To top off our evening we got 10% off our bill as we were staying at The Gables Guest house, Ambleside and this was an offer available to us as guests. We would definitely go again. It was a great little find.

Bar on the left upon entering had a Nautical theme as l recall and thoroughly enjoyed three Gin and Tonics there after sailing my model boat on the round pond in Kensington Gardens and before the celebration of Christ's Victory over Death in the evening of Holy Saturday 2023 Being a Londoner have never stayed here but they very generously support the excellent music at the neighbouring St Paul's Church (High Anglican)

What a little gem. Stunning food, excellent service and good value for money. The staff were so attentive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Staff were very pleasant but unfortunately the gluten free sandwich was a lot to be desired. Very small considering it was £10 and then gave the cheek to charge an extra 50pence for 2 cheap gluten free sliced bread slices. A tiny slither of humous...

This was our second afternoon tea at The Berkeley, and it was much anticipated. Whilst it was absolutely beautiful, we were a little disappointed. The service was not as good on this visit, and we were left for long periods of time, up to 20 minutes, without service, and having no tea or cold tea. This took the shine off the experience.

Very welcoming dog friendly cafe with pleasant staff. On a wintry snowy day we had a beautiful dish of mushroom & brandy soup accompanied by a sandwich. Both were lovely & were very well received, Will definitely return.

Dropped in for lunch whilst ambling around the town. We were seated quickly but weren't given menus so had to go & find those ourselves. Menu is OK but only had 1 option for vegan / vegetarian which although was nice, didn't offer any choice....

If I could give this place 6 out of 5 then I would. We went for a company celebration with 12 people and sat at the chefs table, which is basically in the kitchen. We got to watch the geniuses at work preparing the most amazing food that has ever passed my lips. I can't remember what everything was, I think the taste might have temporarily reset my brain, but it was incredible. We had about 8 courses and for each one the chef came to our table to describe what we were going to get, where it came from, how it had been prepared and the minute detail of the flavours. If you have something to celebrate and you need to find THE BEST place to dine then you can't go far wrong with The Berkeley.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Berkley Hotel in London recently, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked into the elegant lobby, I was met with warm and attentive service that set the tone for my entire stay. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in every aspect of my visit. The beautifully appointed room was a haven of comfort and sophistication, with luxurious furnishings and stunning views of the city. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

حجزت غرفة وطلبت غرفة مع اطلالة اعطوني اطلالة قبيحة مطلة على عمارة مع منظر قبيح طلبت تغيير الغرفة لكن تجاهلوا طلبي وحاولوا اعطاءي غرفة اقدم وكانت الموظفة غير متعاونة .اشكر بول وباول في الكونسيرج وماريا في المطعم .

Amazing place for afternoon tea. One of the best I have been to x

I have stayed 3 nights, one of the best hotels in London, I asked for a room facing the front of the hotel to avoid any noise. And I was surprised that my balcony facing worker and I wake up everyday early because the windows dont have a good isolation, Also when i check out there was a service charge on everyday I stayed that no one told when i checked. For what reason I have no idea. As I took the one night by 1050£ I don’t think that there should be extra charges. I was really upset but I was on hurry to catch my flight, But I don’t think I will be back at this hotel unless I got a very special rate as a remuneration.

Always good. One of my favourite hotels. And have just thoroughly enjoyed one of the best Indian dishes I have tasted anywhere in the world. It was beyond superb.

My best friend treated me to the pret-a-portea afternoon tea - we spent a lovely afternoon chatting, drinking champagne, eating the most delicious sandwiches (seconds are available) and the crowning glory fashion themed cakes. The experience was made all the more enjoyable by the polite and attentive staff who took the time to explain the theme and to chat with - all the time making sure we had everything we needed - a truly lovely afternoon and one i would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone

So bad!The pictures on a website have nothing to do with reality. Same as a size of a rooms. In description it says 50 meters. In life just tiny. Receptions says information according size and actual design of a room is not accurate on their own website. Funny. Basically u can pay for a nice suite but getting a standard room. This they gave me as deluxe junior suite for £2320 a night.for the same price u can have a great room in Bulgari,mandarin…

Stayed here with my family for 6 nights. Excellent, detail-oriented service on par with the best hotels in the world. Nice mix of guests - there were both other families here as well as people in town for business. The staff did an excellent job of taking care of my family’s needs and anticipating what we might need next. The adjoining rooms were great because there was sufficient privacy between rooms that the kids had their own space while my wife and I were able to enjoy some quiet as well.

Perfect all around, stayed here and been to the afternoon tea dozens of times. Impeccable food and service and friends and I go regularly for the afternoon tea, which is constantly refreshed.

This is the first time I stay at the Berkeley after they undergone some impressive renovations. The highlight of my stay was definitely the outstanding service provided by Katrina at the reception desk. From the moment I checked in, she went above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs were met and that I felt at home during my stay. Her friendly and helpful personality made my stay that much more enjoyable. I also appreciated the clean and well-maintained facilities and the delicious breakfast options available each morning. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Super hotel in an excellent location. Staff were delightful, room service was excellent and rooms were super comfortable. We had an upgrade to a room with a balcony at no extra cost. Breakfasts were brilliant. Very, very relaxing and next door to Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge so close to the underground and plentiful taxis.

The Berkeley team made our wedding day very special - thank you for an amazing weekend, we'll be back to celebrate many anniversaries to come. The room, service, and food (especially the breakfast in our room) was everything you'd expect and more. Would highly recommend!👌

The experience it wasn’t like I expect. The service was low and not very welcoming. I had better experiences in Claridges Hotel. The staff was friendly and incredible. However, in this hotel, it was low since I walked in and left. I went for lunch with my kid and since we arrive, the lack of welcoming was there, the guy of the door did not help us with the door. The waiter was serious most of the time. Honestly, the service I’ve received , it does not compare with other 5 stars hotel. Not coming again and I won’t recommend to friends.

Excellent hotel, great location, amazing staff!

This place is heaven. Beautiful rooms, immaculate marble bathroom, balcony with a view and the rooftop pool is the perfect place to relax. Room service breakfast was perfection!
