SHARKY'S International Bar & Diner in Angus

First visit to Montrose and sharky's bar. Pity about the weather outside but the bar was lovely. Had good food. We were never rushed even the woman form the bar came over to give our little dog a cuddle. Lovely warm and friendly atmosphere we will definitely be back the next time we are up.

Great food and great, friendly service. We had cajun creamy chicken tagliatelle and a chilli burger. I asked if it was possible to have a side salad with mine, there wasn't on the menu, and it was no bother. And at no extra cost. Our dog even got a pupachino. Good food at good prices. Would defo recommend 👌

Found Sharkys by accident.. but what an amazing find!! Food is great.. burgers are the best!!! Best way to spend Good Friday for lunch!!

Nipped in for lunch after my wife's shift finished, and Fiona couldn't have been nicer or more friendly! Portions were generous, and food was delicious! The spicy Mac and cheese chicken burger was just the right amount of spicy, whilst being creamy and cheesy. Real veg was used, and not the cheap bags of salad or pre sliced tomatoes. The plate was cleaned! Coffee was nice and came with real milk. There were 3 young families (babies and toddlers) in when we were there, so definitely a family friendly diner. Price was good for 2 sizeable burgers and chips with 2 coffees at £32.

Wednesday is a great day for burgers buy two get the second for only two pounds and the food was amazing and a huge portion could not move for a while after finishing.

Had a day out with the lads very tasty food served quickly I will come back soon

7 of us attended Sharky's for a meal to celebrate my daughters 16th. The waitress was really attentive and friendly. She even made the birthday girl a mocktail especially. The food was lovely and promptly served. Will definitely be back especially as kids eat free!!! Thanks again for the brilliant service!

Great place to eat, Ordered the Chilli Burger, plenty of Chips and the burger was very good too. Weirdly it was the cutlery that I didn't like, was very slidey :D But place is really good, great value too

What a great find!! Travelling down from Aberdeen and had a wander round with the dogs.. very warm day, came across this great pub that allowed us to take our dogs into the beer garden .. staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, beer was ice cold and food was delicious, toilets were clean and the locals made a fuss of the dogs. Would definitely recommend and certainly pop in again if ever back up that way .

We really enjoyed having a few beers at Sharkys. Zoe was fantastic and had great stories about the history and ghost roaming the premises after hours!

The food here is fab, great place to go and they do a burger deal also. Very clean lovely pints (one of the cleanest in town) as well as a great selection of drinks and cocktails. Nicely decorated with an upstairs dance floor, games room, beer garden and smoking area. Nice atmosphere with kareoky on a Friday as well as events sometimes

Myself and my older friend have been going to Sharkys every couple of weeks for outdoor lunches since the nice weather started. It’s been really good. The beer garden is lovely to have food in. The food is really good and they do a great deal for a pensioner portion. The big bottles of wine are also very reasonably priced and it’s good wine. We had a particularly good time a couple of weeks ago when we met staff member “Christine” who introduced us to the huge outdoor tv and music channels! We will be going back and taking our friends over summer. Highly recommend for a boozy summer lunch with friends 😊

Absolutely fantastic experience! Nice member of staff had taken myself and family in (Sunday 2nd April) even when they were fully booked and accommodated us upstairs in the pool room which we wanted anyway were the kids enjoyed themselves playing pool. Every single piece of food was so fresh and cleared all our plates, Prices are very low....We will definitely be back to Sharkys 😊 Dave Glasgow

Oh dear Sharkey’s what are you doing ???? my husbands chicken was dry, my burger tasteless , our chips were half cold n half cooked, chilli was plain watery mince, with a very small dash of chilli powder, cheese sauce was very watery with little taste, you used to get coleslaw but that’s not there anymore. We waited so long for our food, we ate it because we were so very hungry and used the condiments to try make it palatable, wish we’d sent them back and went elsewhere. We were regular customers but won’t be back.

Staff were not very friendly. They had temp. Chef and it took almost an hour for whole order, some items came out cold like steak pie and steak pie had a lot of un-chewable bits. Never brought us the juice from the kids menu either or coloring set.

Really really nice staff but no full vegan main dishes as burger although was vegan and very nice , the bun wasn't... One vegan starter but I always think falafel is a boring starter really.. There is a vegan desert so will definitely try that ... (None left) Loads of options for my husband who is not vegan to try which Is good.. 🙂

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Edinburgh and was pleasantly surprised with this great Pub. We were there on burger club day - buy one burger and get another one for £1. Certainly great value and the burgers were great also. The staff were so very friendly, I would highly recommend going there.

We really enjoyed our visit to Sharky’s in Montrose. It’s had loads of space, we weren’t cooped into small tables, there was plenty of space, even though the place was busy. The staff were attentive, prompt, polite and happy (they smiled, and looked like they really enjoyed their job). I like the way I was asked if I wanted all the fillings in my boogie burger. The food was served promptly, and was of excellent quality. We really enjoyed our visit to Sharky’s, and if we are ever in Montrose again, will be frequenting the restaurant again.

Just enjoyed Haddock & chips, the Haddock was GINORMOUS + V tasty DEFINITELY value for money, will have that again without ANY hesitation

Great food , drinks , service. Tacos 👌🏽 (more like Tex Mex hardshell kind of tacos BUT SO GOOD) the crew lovely, the place clean, definitely I'll be back for more tacos. And burgers 🍔 and of course Sweet potato fries... And of course if the place is busy don't expect magic; (you are not the queen 👑)... get a drink , be nice and wait ... Common sense people 😉😘.

My family and I recently visited Montrose and loved our visit to sharkeys, we were there just after opening so we’re there for lunchtime. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and the fact that children eat free with a paying adult main was brilliant value. If visiting the area again would definitely visit to try another amazing burger.

Staff were friendly, food was good value but table was sticky and flies plagued the whole meal, maybe they came in from outside. Might try again.

Absolutely shocking, they don't have enough staff to maintain a busy diner food was cold, they seated us ajar from open doors that a breeze was coming in to make the food colder and my mother was cold after sitting there just short of 3 hrs with a breeze, I feel the chef needs to do his/her health and hygiene certificate again to learn about temperature of food when giving it to the public, the cheese wasnt even melted onto the nachos and minimal chilli but loaded with salsa... for the price they were charging you would of thought the food would of been better quality, the staff never came up to ask if everything was ok and if they did i would of made these issues clear, I mentioned it to the staff when i went to pay they did apologise I was in the diner for around 3 hours for a two course meal, I certainly won't be back.

We where up for a few days and this was one of the only places we felt welcome and had a great Time Staff are awum ✌️

Excellent venue with brilliant well portioned food. Staff are always so nice and happy to help. Think it's great they do kids eat free, really helps families when they are going out for a treat. All in all a lovely bar to go for food or drink and the beer garden is perfect for the hot and sunny days. Highly recommend.

It was terrible, supposed to have been Balmoral chicken, but chicken best that was very oily, and still a lot of blood through it, starters was taken out at same time as main course, won't be going there again

Went two nights in a row. Food was incredible the jaws burger was the best burger I jave ever had!!! Great service and a great atmosphere even the music was on point highly recommended

The food was lovely, kids eat free! Staff were attentive and helpful. Kept checking if we need more to drink with our meal. The only thing I disliked about it was how loud and busy it was at 6 pm on a Saturday night.

If im going out there's nowhere else I'd like to go. Been coming here for years always happy with the food, drink and service. Great pool table upstairs, large beer garden, Dance floor with DJ every weekend and an lovely atmosphere in the main bar area. Suitable of the whole family.

A bouncer failed to help me when a male was making me feel uncomfortable and told me everything was okay for him to be making me feel this way I’m shocked as I come here often and the fact I left feeling uncomfortable and sad just shocks me I was being filmed and being shouted horrible names I have witnesses to everything that happened that night absolutely disgusting that as I female I can’t feel safe in my local

Stopped on the way to Aberdeen for lunch with my daughter. Was a great experience food was lovely and staff were so kind too! Will be back again next time I’m in Montrose

Really good meal with family and pooch, staff very friendly and the burgers were amazing! Looks a little run down from outside but don’t let that put you off visiting, it was excellent and we would def go back!

Visited today for lunch. We were expecting simple food cooked well. I ordered a very straight forward dish of Mixed bean chilli which was inedible. It was basically a plate of tinned mixed beans with no sauce whatsoever. It was so dry I could not eat it. I had three mouthfuls and left the rest. My friend had macaroni cheese which was okay but upon reaching the bottom of the dish found a stray pea!! Seems they used a dirty spoon to decant the macaroni into the dish, can't think if any other explanation. The staff were not interested in our feedback at all. Suffice to say I won't be returning.

Unfortunately our food was so bad that we will never return. It's overpriced on top I had a hotdog with unmelted cheese sprinkles on top with a bread that must have come from Pompeii It crumbled wasn't toaste, no extra added toppings MY husband had ham and eggs and chips The ham was dry The egg was like rubber duck The chips were overcooked and too many Actually we would like to have a refund

My wife and I went to Sharkys for dinner. Virtually nobody wore face coverings when transitioning through the bar. Two customers were using the fruit machine less than a meter behind us, I asked them why they were not wearing face coverings, I was met with a response of laughter and told he didn't have one and would move when he'd finished his shot. I asked bar staff why nobody seemed to be wearing coverings, bar staff just shrugged their shoulders. The doorman then entered the premises, no mask on, and proceeded to bar area where he stood chatting. We left. An absolute shambles, a disgusting disregard for public well being, staff couldn't care less. Food was freezer to plate standard.

Was there for lunch today thought we would try it since has new owners..had the macaroni which was pretty decent ..menu is very very limited not really a choice unless you want a burger ! Not much atmosphere at all ..hopefully in time it gets better as used to love a meal at Sharkys !!

Well my 1st drink in a pub after lockdown, and sharkys it was, 1st class service as always, fantastic adaptions to covid and dam!!! The food is good ( another few lbs on the waistline 🤦‍♀️ but so worth it) and drinks were spot on 👌🍻
