Shakeshuka in City of London, Westminster

A buzzy place offering delicious middle eastern food. Lovely guys. Aesthetics not their strongest suite - could be less bitty, more rustic colour and textures, but never mind if food is your focus.

This place is bustling! The basement is filled with people which you would never realise from looking at the shop front on the street. The food is delicious: we ordered the Mixed Grill plate while my friends ordered the Shakshouka. Quantities are generous for their price. Service at peak time can be tough and the Knafeh wasn't the best, but was a nice palette cleanser nonetheless. Note that there is a 15% service charge. I highly recommend this place.

This is a beautiful Palestinian restaurant with a calming ambience. The beautiful artwork upstairs makes you appreciate the Palestinian heritage, culture, and history a lot more. The staff were super helpful, kind, and patient. I was told I had the same name as one of the staff’s mum which was a great laugh - such highly personable people. The restaurant was very spacious and warm which was great as I visited during the winter. I’d go again to re-experience the customer service. Highly recommend if you’re in the area :)

Absolutely amazing taste. Good portion size. Affordable prices. What more can one ask for? Been there twice in a span of 2 weeks. It is usually very crowded with a lot of chitter chatter around so if you're looking for something romantic, I wouldn't really recommend that. However, if you're hoping to get some good tasting fulfilling food with friends, go for it. The large mix platter is amazing as it is served with 3 pita and very fulfilling for 2 persons.

Service was very quick, friendly. Food was delicious. Would have hoped for Palestinian music or songs...

We were seated upstairs and the service was a little brusque. Choose to sit downstairs is my advice. Otherwise great food!

I had been there with my friend and we had an amazing culinary awakening experiencing Palestinian food for the 1st time. The quality was great and the staff too.

Lovely vibrant cafe. Good service and superb food. Only downside is that you aren’t given a bill and have to go to the till to pay and it is then difficult to check what you are paying for. You have to ask for the details and what service charge is being added but that can come over as being awkward especially when it is noisy and you have to understand the accent.

My main and dessert were delicious as well as being really well priced. The menu itself is really well varied too. Marked down for service as twice had to try and get employees attention to just place my order despite being sat for a good 15 mins and others that arrived after, getting served before me. That being said, it was really busy so I can excuse it a bit and would definitely go again.

Loved the fresh juice here, and the chicken sharwarma wrap wasn't too bad either 😋

Is small Palestinian restaurant with amazing food, good service. I recommend if you want to try homemade Palestinian food.

Food was amazing and service was spot on. 9'75 out of ten. The house was full and tables around us were emptying their plates which is always a good sign. Also forgot to mention, as soon as a table was leaving, it was getting occupied instantly. Great location and affordable prices

Service is fast and efficient but not very personal A bit overpriced for what you receive with the service charge added. Food is above average but not exceptional.

Visiting this Palestinian restaurant twice was an absolute delight. The food quality is top-notch, and the flavors are incredibly tasty, delivering an authentic Palestinian culinary experience. The tabbouleh is impeccably dressed, and the rice is flawlessly cooked. Not to mention, the meat was incredibly tender, practically melting in the mouth. A true gem for anyone seeking authentic Palestinian cuisine.

Nice but a bit high price for a little nice meal

Halal Palestinian cuisine. Really nice and small restaurant. Price a bit much though I would say.

Nice food, well presented and good value for money. I went at a busy period - interesting experience trying to find friends who had booked and already seated - the guy at the entrance pointed at the CCTV and asked if it's them - it wasn't, then he said it was busy so I should call them - then I realised there was an upstairs so went up and looked myself - the place isn't big so not sure why he couldn't just tell me. We felt rushed when ordering and weren't told when booking, or on arrival, that we had the table til a certain time, so had to wolf down the rest. Appreciate their gift of baklava as an apology. Recommend going, but perhaps when it's not busy.

Excellent authentic Palestinian food, lovely atmosphere. Artwork inspired by Palestinian resistance pieces. The seating was comfortable. Service was attentive. Had delicious well spiced shakshuka and amazingly the whole menu is available at breakfast including mixed grill.

Really enjoyed the food, authentic Palestinian food, mezzi was amazing, hummus was outstanding. Service was excellent, very friendly waiters. Would definitely recommend this gem of a restaurant

I went there two times. In the first time it was a holiday, the food was really delicious. The second time, the restaurant was not crowded, so the food was not fresh. Anyway, the worst thing was that a new customer came while I was eating. They changed my table. They grab the food and put it in the different table. It was super strange and rude!

I love this place. It's simple but has delicious Middle Eastern food 😋. I have tried their flafel, shakshoka, foul, and pastries. Service and location are great as well 👍🏻

There was a group of us so we sat upstairs. Quite a cramped restaurant. The food wasn't anything to write home about. I shared starters with another girl.

The fattoush and manakiesh were really good!! I highly recommend those!! The atmosphere was really nice too!! The service was top tier!!

Hidden gem. The hot chocolate was so good that ordered two. I've never done that before. Its just the way I like it. Tried the shakshuka sujuk. Lovely bold flavours. Big portions. I ate at breakfast and didnt eat until dinner. I'll be back.

this place was amazing with some of the best food I have ever had. the dish of the day (musakhan) was phenomenal, it’s nice to see real traditional palestinian food in central london. although it was very busy, the staff were extremely attentive and service was impeccable. the food arrived very fast and was at a perfect temperature. 5 stars in all aspects. Also, the food is really affordable. I've been here twice already and introduced it to friends. Everybody loved the food, service and the atmosphere.

We ordered chicken shawarma which was cold, zaatar and cheese manousha which was ok, stuffed grape leaves and kibbeh were good, tabbouleh was cut coarsely, the kunafa is an absolute discgrace, dont know if you can even call it Kunafa, it was microwaved and even that was not done properly was cold in the middle, neither sweet or salty, worst Kunafa I've ever had and we left it. Service was ok, it was busy and waiters seemed to be all over the place but were friendly, we did have to ask for things more than once. Atmosphere is great. I wouldn't go here again.

It was our first visit and the food was well seasoned and tasty. The staff were friendly, however a few mistakes were made with our order but they did rectify those as promptly as possible. They also extended their apologies. Will visit again.

Best shawarma I ever had, definitely recommend the zatar and kunafah as well.

Very basic food, nothing Palestinian. The meat was really good, but the starters needs a lot of work..

It was a very cosy Palestinian eatery serving Middle East food. Everything was freshly made. You can see the chefs making bread/ flatbread and skewers on the spot. The taste was great, love their zatar flatbread, salad and Kubideh. The Knafeh and Turkish coffee were very nice too. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I've been visiting a few times and will definitely come again.

Recently had dinner here with a friend, and we both were very happy with the service we received from the kind people that worked there. Delicious food too, especially the mint lemonade. Highly recommend for anyone that’s curious about Palestinian cuisine.

Visited on Tuesday 31/10/23 and had a great experience. The vibe was good, all the staff were friendly especially Muhammad. The food was great! Good portions, reasonable pricing for London and also very tasty. Will deffo come again! Special shout out to Abdul Ghani too!

I cannot even describe how poor and unpolite is a waiter on the upper level. He never says Hello, Welcome, Thank you, here you go, you are welcome.... He is dropping food in front of you like a trash sack....The waitress was more polite. The food is acceptable, far from great(the nan bread is from the supermarket). They brought us a meal for one person 15min before a meal for the other one.(which is strange because we should eat at the same time). One"clean" fork had food leftover on it. Also, he forgot to bring water....and didn't say sorry...just dropped it in front of us....etc

Rude waiter upstairs. He treats you like you came to beg. No maners at all. Unpleasant experience.

Amazing authentic shake shuka and mna'eesh. We ordered different mna'eesh each can fill 2-3 people easily. The shawrma plate was very filling as well. I've been to this plate multiple times and it became a destination for meeting and trying everything on the menu.
