We've had 3 take always during lock down, ranging from chicken through to veggie options and every delivery has been within half an hour, piping hot and full to the brim portions. The food is lovely. highly recommend this restaurant.

First time we've ordered from this restaurant. Tastes good, portion sizes were good and was delivered on time.

I've been going to this restaurant for 10 years and they have never disappointed me or my family. I ordered today for valentine's and again recieved excellent service + 20%. Let's support this great business!!

We have been using the Shahi Restaurant for around 20 years and it has always been excellent, particularly over the past 13 years when they introduced Nepalese food to the menu. The restaurant has recently changed ownership.For the first time in the Shahi's history it no longer serves alcohol which is a real shame as you now have to take your own drinks to enjoy with your meal. I think that these will lose them a lot of custom!We have collected two takeaway meals since the change of ownership. The first one was very disappointing. The mixed starter for two was very messy and just seemed to be a collection of a few different dishes scooped into 2 single containers.We didn't bother with the starter the second time we ordered and both main meals were far better than the first order. My chicken Madras had plenty of meat in it as did the lamb dish that we ordered. The lamb was very tender.The staff were very friendly when we collected the meals and we were much happier with the second order than the first.As the Shahi no longer provides a bar we will only be using it as a takeaway rather than a restaurant from now on (the Trip Advisor restaurant information still states that it serves wine and beer so needs changing).I hope that the quality of the takeaway meals is consistent. The new owners certainly have a lot to live up to!

It’s a real shame I am having to write this review...The Shahi has been our Indian of choice for many years. I have rated this restaurant twice before and both times it was perfect...Something is not the same...The last two take out meals have been nowhere near as good as previous visits,In particular one of the Chicken Bhuna’s was literally swimming in oil.That in itself wouldn’t have warranted such a poor review however I sent 3 emails to the restaurant to tell them, one through the website and two direct mails...Not a response not a answer... I see that a few reviews talk about new ownership, this maybe the case as on both visits I didn’t see any of the original staff who were always friendly and helpful. Also we noticed that some of the dishes were definitely “different”I won’t try again as a matter of principle until I have had a response from the restaurant.

We always use Shahi and even better with the 20%off included in the delivery too. Fantastic you open earlier too with Hungary children.

Best indian takeaway meal we have had in a long while , only had to wait an hour for delivery (on a Saturday night) the Salmon tikka was so tasty and perfectly cooked, the flavour was gorgeous, everything was perfect, there are slightly different things on the menu which is nice to see and my husband said his curry was the best he's tasted. Thank you Shahi

Ordered a delivery tonight and they even catered for my daughter’s nut allergy. The food was so good that I felt the need to call them afterwards and thank them and pay the chef our compliments. I’ve never done that before!The Chicken Tikka pieces were large, tender and flavoursome. The Naan bread’s were cooked to perfection and all very well presented. Contactless ordering and dDelivery. Time from order to arrival was about 45 mins. Not bad for a pandemic Friday night.If you live locally or need to try a new, well established curry house, give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.

I was very disappointed when went and picked up my regular order. New faces, new management under the same name.Unfortunately only the name is the same, the menu and most importantly the quality of the food has changed. Nothing special, no texture no taste, below average. My order was simple, but it was looked and tasted like a good quality ready meal from M&S.This was my 1st and last order from them.

Bland, boring food. Edible but no flavour for a curry and that's coming from an Indian. Yes, I wouldn't expect it to be like home cooked but this was seriously poor attempt at making a curry. As for the naans and aloo Paratha... Couldnt find the aloo (potatoe) and the naans weren't great either.

Really sad to find out the Shahi is under new mgmt. No more Momo, reduced Nepalese dishes (signature dish gone) and the quality is really down. Generic paste sauce that taste like every other curry house sauces. Chicken wasn’t marinaded in milk like before, so was dry and tasteless. I hope they manage to improve because they were super keen to please on the phone and even apologised for being “new”.

Disappointing, ordered New Year’s Eve, I expected it to be a little busy, at 6:30 order, only acknowledged at 7:30 with an hour and a half wait, called after that time only to be told they couldn’t offer a delivery time! But if wanted to collect I could do so in ten minutes, which we did. Delivery charge not reimbursed though! Food was disappointing, it was cold, peshwari naan was burnt, food definitely not as good as it was before new management took over. I used to recommend Shahi as the best in town, I’m not sure I still can say that now. I hope it get better otherwise we’ll be looking for another restaurant.

I see the the previous review the management has changed, which explains why my bhutwa wasn't anywhere near as good as I have experienced. Absolutely loved the food here, not awful now but not as good. Let's hope they can recover.

Fantastic! All the food was fresh and tasty! We opted for the Wednesday buffet option which is great value for money! The 3 kids loved it and demolished lots of food, the better half and I enjoyed our meal too! They are currently allowing people to Bring their own Alcohol if you wish to drink, they also deliver and are also upto speed on being COVID Safe. Thabkyou for a wonderful meal and I wish you all the best :D

Just discovered this restaurant and we were delighted with the great flavours of the food. Fantastic lamb biryani and chicken bhuna. We will definitely be using them again and plan to visit as eat in. Well done!

Collected a takeaway on Saturday night and was incredibly impressed. Very tasty, authentic, food. Will most definitely be going again.

Probably one of the best Indian meals we have eaten - absolutely fantastic will definitely be back!!

Very decent takeaway with good portion sizes. Ordered garlic chilli chicken, haryali chicken and tandoori roti. Haryali chicken is slightly salty but rest is all spotless. The chicken is extremely tender and juicy. I'll definitely visit again and rating is 3.5/5.

Let's go and get a curry, had a few Nepalese dishes. Found this restaurant by chance, oh what a hidden gem. Family run and it shows in the most delicious Nepalese dishes. Even my friend was tempted to break away from her usual chicken tikka masala. Will definitely go back with my Dad, family and continue to recommend to my clients.

I booked the whole of this restaurant for my husband’s 60th birthday celebration. From start to finish Pob and his lovely family did everything they could to make the night special. From putting decorations up and playing our own music to managing to serve 30 different meals was fantastic. Nearly every person had something different so that was a challenge in itself. They worked tirelessly throughout the evening serving drinks. We all had a great night and everyone thought the food was amazing. We’ve visited lots of curry houses but this is by far the best. We always have good food and you should seriously try this restaurant and you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Pob’s team for making it perfect

Went here with my folks last week, we must have eaten 5,000 curries between us. Literally blown away by this food. This is quite honestly the best curry I have ever had and same for all of us.

Ate here on 19th December with my wife and daughter. We arrived, on the off chance of getting a table just after opening at 5:30 p.m. Despite it being the last Saturday before Christmas which one expects to be busy with pre-booked guests, and it was, we were accommodated on the proviso that we were finished by 7 p.m. No big deal as the food arrived very quickly once ordered. We all agreed that the food was excellent and the portion sizes just right. The family that own/run the restaurant were extremely courteous and pleasant, and got the balance between being intrusive and not checking our meals were okay absolutely spot on.Will have no hesitation in returning on our next visit to Bracknell.

Quiet Sunday Night - but busy with takeaways , [ A Good Sign ] was Pom’s night off . Very attentive service and first rate food , drink - you can tell this is a family run restaurant. They live nearby, to us. We have been here many times, again Shahi is always highly recommended – remember BOTH Indian AND Nepalese food . I/we can’t recommend the food and service highly enough - We will go again, obviously. Thank you & compliments of the season.

Myself and a colleague visited this restaurant whilst travelling from the West of England to Kent. Bracknell seemed like a good place to stop and due to the good reviews, we gave this place a go. I ordered Pork Sekuwa for starter and Mixed Grill for a main course which you cannot really go wrong with. It was quite pricey especially when it does not even come with naan bread. The starter was very non-descript. Basically cooked belly port with spices. The mixed grill although well cooked, it did lack any real flavour and the meat tasted cheap. I would not be surprised if it was the cheap frozen with added water type. It had a very characteristic loose texture.On a positive note, my colleague enjoyed his curry so perhaps I was just unlucky..

I picked this restaurant based on the trip advisor reviews. It was early on a Tuesday so I turned out to be the only guest ( although several take-aways were picked up )The menu has Indian an Nepali dishes - i took a Nepali starter and Indian Main.The starter was nice ( momo chicken ) and so was the biryani I had as a main but it was not “special”. The restaurant is basic but cozy and has a nice little bar. A point of attention though was the temperature - it was really cold ! I already moved seats to get away from the window byt still it was not comfortable. I understand it was a week day with not too much folks entering but still you gotta make sure the temp is comfortable.Overall: value for money with friendly staff ( owners )

Visited for the first time on a Friday evening. Lived in Bracknell many years and didn’t know this place was here. I’m glad we know now. Food absolutely excellent, service very good and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely meal at Shahi, it was mid-week and wet outside, so we were happy to see the restaurant was busy on our arrival, always a good sign! Well indeed the good people of Bracknell know a good restaurant when they see one, totally deserved the ratings by those that preceded us. First time we have used shahi takeaway my wife had the chicken tikka masala I had the shahi (hot) chicken both dishes were excellent in flavours.

Ordered a delivery tonight from this restaurant, first time. The customer service is excellent, they even sent me a copy of the menu because the website was offline, not only this they phoned me too on an international number. Food arrived on time, hot and service was polite too. All tasty food and good tender meats and prawns. The madras sauce was a little too tomato for our tastes but that’s down to personal choice. All in all will use again maybe try different dishes. Highly recommend for customer service.

We ate here because we were in the area visiting the lego theme park. What a great little place. Napalese influenced dishes alongside the staples of a UK Indian make this an interesting proposition for anyone seeking a good curry. Really fresh tasting, the naan bread and pillau rice were excellent, the mains too.

Just had a lovely meal in this restaurant food excellent service first class and the staff were extremely polite and helpful would recommend this for a nice casual evening meal

I'm giving an average rating instead of poor considering the standards of Indian takeaways in Bracknell, after living here for almost three years I'm yet to find an Indian I'd order from again.

Popped in Wednesday for dinner I had shahi med chicken curry with pilau rice and garlic naan, hubby had butter chicken with fresh green chills. Everything was cooked to perfection. Bidyah & Pom wonderful as usual. We come here often and have never had a bad meal

Read the reviewws and thought we would try the restaurant bcause it was on our way home to Frimlet . Wow wasnt busy but very attentive staff and food was wonderful. Top quality curry dishes and sides had teh garlic chilli chicken and my wife had teh prawn dansak the portions are more that expected and it was a shame to leave any feel absolutely full now. Very resonably priced and I would say they are a hidden treasure. We will be back.

Plenty of places offering good Indian food in Bracknell, but none do it as good as Shahi, Pom his Wife, daughter and team consistantly deliver the best food in town, its simply superb.

Love the food here!! Been so many times and the food is always great. Quick service. Good choice on the food menu. You can book a table in advance if there is a group of you.

This restaurant used to be amazing food but im afraid they have cheapened the cuts of meat do not even bother with the lamb its the toughest tasteless rubber i actually think its some sort of beef. The photo below thats definitely not lamb its beef awful our teeth ache from trying to eat it... Blergh gutted

My go to Indian I have never had a bad meal both the Indian and Nepalese food goes down a treat as does the Gurkha beer

This is my wife's go-to when in town (which is not often) so I accompanied her this time. It's reasonable both in food quality and price. Pretty standard Indian fare but worth a look.

The food was probably the best Indian I've had and I've had a few. Garlic rice was amazing and they had a paneer chilli dish which is also great. Everyone loved it.

We haven't been for ages and It was a quiet Monday night but the food and service still amzing. The Popadoms were super fresh and the curry excellent. Well worth a visit.

3 v tasty curries, assorted rice & veg dishes, breads etc. All delivered on time, v hot, fresh and tasty. Makes a change from the luke warm bland food delivered by many of the other curry restaurants in Bracknell. Even a few dishes not available elsewhere.

The food was all one colour, orange with a greasy top keema rice was red and orange and greasy, passanda orange and greasy and Bombay aloo the same... won’t recommend or use again especially as my other half has had a dodgy stomach since!!!

We are lucky enough to live locally and can walk to Shahi in 5 minutes and have done on several occasions over the years.

We had a large fund raising event at this lovely restaurant and without exception everyone loved the food.

Visited Legoland with my family yesterday (7 of us ). Stayed in Welcome Apartments Bracknell (8 miles away from Windsor) overnight.

We called here because we had eaten at this venue about 10 years back and wanted some nostalgia (and nosh!) and thought it ideal. Service was very efficient and friendly. We had a bit of a wait for our starters but it was worth the wait, truly delicious. Our mains were more prompt and very nice too. Definitely coming back and will try not to leave it 10 years this time.

In Bracknell for work - found this place through the online reviews. It’s tucked away in an arcade of shops in a local centre. Friendly owner, really great tasting food.

Having moved to Bracknell 6 years ago we have had the same takeaway from the same restaurant continually. On recommendation from friends we tried Shahi tonight. Restaurant quality food, absolutely surpassed expectations. I am a convert and will never go back to the old takeaway despite 6 years of loyalty. Thank you Shahi.

This place was recommended to me and I'm glad it was. The food was some of the best I have had in ages, perfectly cooked, full of flavour and portion sizes were just right.

Visited on a Saturday night for a family meal. The food was very good, with several Nepalese dishes on the menu it makes a change from the usual run of the mill 'Indian' restaurant. The service however was a little lacking. The staff were friendly enough but not very efficient, too few staff trying to do everything. The waitress did not know what drinks they had available and we had to ask a couple of times for our drinks orders to be delivered.

Chose this restaurant last night for a family meal due to the fact it was #1 Indian restaurant on trip advisor and was not disappointed. The food was amazing. Chose a few Nepalese dishes that were so tasty. Service was good and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

I like Indian food and have been to many and this was okay. Not blown away, but my main Nepalese chicken dish was tasty and the mushroom rice and chapati were fresh, hot and tasty.

In an unassuming row of shops that were shuttered up for the night, I had no expectations. However, the menu is extensive and wonderfully varied. Opted for a Nepalese dish and was not disappointed. Full of flavour, beautifully cooked. 5 of us ate and we all tried each others food - and each dish was wonderful. When they say hot - they mean it! No 'dumbed down' food for the British palate - complex mixes of herbs and spices - just no frills.

Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I've been too. Himalayan food specialities are full of flavour, washed down with a pint of Cobra lager. Hits the spot Marlene! Staff were smiley and nice. All round a slap a my thigh top meal. Hurrah!

A pleasure to find food of this caliber. This food has not been adjusted to the anglo palate! Instead it has the intensity and delicacy often found only in home cooked food. Service was flawless! Thank you for a great dinner!

Not being from the area, we searched online for an Indian restaurant and came upon this one.

This is my first review on trip advisor but one I’m compelled to write for the sheer delight that my tastebuds experienced. You will not be disappointed if you go and a couple of dishes stood out as best that I’ve had in the country (and I lived in Coventry for 6 years!). The dal is amazing - like a proper Indian dal fry, and the Shahi chicken amazing - that sauce is simply beggars belief. Final mention comes to the sundries where my wife and I happily disagreed as to the better choice between the paratha and the puri. Needless to say, I was correct that the puris were the best, but we both gobbled down our respective choices. Our son devoured the nan dunked in the mild Shahi sauce, but he’s 3, so what does he know? Please do not hesitate to visit as you owe it to your senses.

The Shahi is tucked away in a housing estate in Bracknell. My first thoughts were that I had come to the wrong place, but eventually found it.

This was our second visit and we were not disappointed with the food. Sadly the meal took some time to arrive and we saw lots of people who came in after us being served first. However it was worth the wait - the food is plentiful, tasty and beautifully presented. Worst curry I’ve had for a long time. We had a coke and lemonade on arrival. Both Flat and warm. The main meals were the saltiest I have ever tasted. Won’t be going back!

We usually order take away from this restaurant . We are vegetarian and usually order malai kofta ,chana masala,and one of paneer curry. 99 % time food is good and meet ours expectation . I think,it is one of best restaurant in Bracknell and Wokingham when it comes to vegetarian food. I have tried almost all restaurant in bracknell and wokingham and this is the best of them.

Found this place by accident when trying to find somewhere central online for friends to catch up. Hidden in the middle of a housing estate, is this wonderful restaurant that offers a friendly service, large menu, and all 4 of us had 2 courses and thoroughly enjoyed everything. A great find, would recommend to anyone.

We visit every couple of weeks, usually have a takeaway but have eaten in as well, food is always very good - extremely consistent. The owners are very pleasant and polite and know me by name now we’ve been there so many times. We never go anywhere else for our takeaway even though we have several closer.

Really Great curry. My bf is obsessed with curry and it was his turn to choose where to go (we eat out a lot!). Took me here and I normally hate curry but this was fantastic. Chicken Tikka Massalla was almost smoky, rich and creamy and they were so friendly. This is my new place!! :)

My wife and I ate there and some of the food was a lot to be desired the naan bread was burned and give them credit they took it off the bill,the onion Bhaji was tasteless the rest was ok at best ,there are better places to eat

Visited this restaurant while on business in UK about 6 weeks ago. Fantastic food and great service. I’m a big curry fan and Shahi really delivered with amazing flavors. The Nepalese influence complimented the traditional curry flavors I was looking for superbly. Also the owner was so hospitable he even took me back to my hotel instead of a taxi. Thank you sir!! Looking forward to my next visit!

Food was delicious and decent portion sizes. Heat was on the low side for curry but I actually prefer that. Only down side was that the place was a little bit bright, but not a big issue.

This is our local and we are so glad it is. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We often have a take away from here too and the food is still as good as it would be if you were to eat in, which is not always the case elsewhere. Well worth a visit.

I had chicken momo and sag paneer and special rice and it was truly AMAZING and very good value for money. All a great experience and soothing music and friendly waiters. Very well set tables too. Thanks SO much. Trouble was, living in Bracknell since a young girl and this was my first time here! But I will go back for sure!

I LOVEEEE THIS RESTAURANT!!! THEIR BUTTER CHICKEN IS THE BEST!! I have been eating here for the past 2 years and honestly is the best INDIAN I have ever tasted I cannot go anywhere else!! I have tried Indian in different places and it just isn't the same. So I'm lucky I live only 5 mins away from them and can get it at anytime. Honestly I highly recommend this restaurant above all the other Indian restaurants in the local area.

I had ordered take away previously and the food quality was not at all good. Yesterday when I visited with my family and Bro's family with kids, got shocking experience. The first question staff asked was are the kids OK??and they will not Cry????

Found this place on tripadvisor - we were a bit reluctant as it was away from town centre, however it did not disappoint! Food was lovely and portions generous, we ordered a selection of dishes and they all tasted amazing from butter chicken to spicy lamb curry. Prices are really great as well - this includes alcohol also. Service was also amazing, nothing was too much to ask, servers and management were very personable and generous, we stayed late as we were having a long overdue catch up and even though we were last customers in the building no one rushed us or made us feel unwelcome. Highly recommend!

Recently moved to the area so ordered from here a few times now. Food has always been good and the korma in particular is excellent.

We were staying at the Hilton in Bracknell and used google maps to find a local curry house. Not knowing the area we blindly followed the directions into a residential area and found the restaurant in a small shopping parade. The area felt a bit dodgy but as we were all hungry, we parked up and went in.

Had another great meal here with work colleagues, we've been going on and off for a few years now and the quality is still fantastic. No greasyness at all, no "one curry base" fits all, but individual flavours, freshly prepared.

05/08/2017 - 4 friends, 1 house. Please note this review is strictly relating to their takeaway service. We placed a relatively small order, nothing special at around 19:00. An hour passes, concern grows. We phone twice to chase, each time we are told:"The driver left, I don't know where they are". Can you at least find out? They work for you after all. No - the driver has left, that's all they know. Brilliant.So our food has been with a completely random person, who Shahi don't know all that well (assumption made as they can't get in contact with said person!) for 2 hours before it was finally delivered lukewarm. Upon arrival (with lots of extra attitude included) she stated:"Other people have been waiting longer than you". Oh really? Like who exactly, someone who's placed an order in advance for Christmas 2018?I refused to pay full price, in fact my friends had to convince me to hand over any money at all. I used to like this place, but after this one terrible experience I refuse to get ripped off again. As for the restaurant side, it's OK. Not the best - Daruchini does the best BIR (British Indian Restaurant) style curries close by.After reading numerous other takeaway reviews for Shahi Bracknell, it seems I'm one of many who's fallen victim to the extensive wait and rudeness from staff. Would recommend spending your hard earned cash elsewhere for a decent curry.

Ordered £62.00 worth of curry an extras and at least two of the main meals didn't arrive was asked to wait for it to be delivered and had to wait over 10 min for the rest to arrive by which time the rest of the meal was going cold.... but did do as they said and it arrived within the 10mins and with extras so in the end the meal was rectified well done Shahi...
