Wonderful food and great service. The beer was real good too !

I have eaten in the restaurant in the past and was very happy with the food and warm service. I ordered a takeaway tonight on Deliveroo and the food that was delivered was not only bad but inedible! It is almost like all the dregs and old food that has been under the lights for a few days was slopped into the aluminium dishes and sent to my house! So disappointed that I will never order a takeaway from them again.

Take out only Nice food but pretty pricey.

We usually love the food here and the occasional takeaway. But last night we were joined by a cockroach scuttling across the table. So i’m afraid we will not be going there again.

We went on a Monday night and I was surprised to see how busy it was, testament to how good Shafiques is. The service was fast and staff friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and could not fault it at all. Would most definitely recommend and we'll be going back.

I am guessing Wednesday is the the chef's night off, ordered a takeaway which had a truly tasteless watery vindaloo sauce, with dubious chicken (we ordered and paid for tikka meat) so different to the takeaway meal we had on Saturday night from here, which was excellent. I cannot believe they were happy to let this leave their kitchen.

What a lovely dining experience. Service was super friendly and impeccable. Beautiful food and reasonably priced. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We eat here regularly or get the takeaway. Food is always fantastic. The main thing is the service and welcome. Very professional and welcoming. I am 57 and have had my fair share of curries all over the UK. Shafiques comes in my top 3 of all time. Highly recommended.

Food was nice but the meat was a very small portion, the majority was sauce and veg for the curry we ordered. I expected more as it was quite expensive. Also felt that we were rushed to leave by a waiter (figured that it was the owner as his name was the same as the restaurant) kept hovering and asking if we finished do we want to order anymore food etc.

The food was great. Plenty of flavor and everything was perfect. The food took a long time to come out, we were a party of 8 when I came so maybe it had to do with that. But overall it was a good experience and I’d come back

Shafiques serves divine Indian cuisine. The total opposite of your greasy, oily goo. Wonderfully spiced, flavoursome, textured dishes with super friendly staff. In my opinion, this is by far the best Indian food in the area.

I usually love this take away however it gave me food poisoning, after eating this I was unwell for over a week, it's a shame as I can never go back now.

Went with my friends on Sunday.Everything was amazing from the food to the wonderful service we received. Without doubt the best Indian we have had locally. Cannot recommend this restaurant too highly

We were staying locally so popped in on a Wednesday evening to find it very popular but luckily they had a table spare so it might be worth booking ahead. The food was fairly typical fare for an Indian/Bengali restaurant but well cooked and flavoursome with subtle spicing. We were well impressed with the service- friendly and helpful with everything turning up pronto.

Great service, super food, tasty and hot. All the usual favourite Indian choices, but a good selection of chef’s specialties. For starters we enjoyed Onion Bhazi, chicken tikka, chilli paneer and prawn puri, all very tasty. For mains we enjoyed, the Goan hara murgh, Garlic chilli chicken tikka, excellent.

A special meal with a very special person (sadly no longer in my life), but we had an amazing time.

Our anniversary was in January, but couldn't celebrate then. However, even though delayed, we wanted to celebrate so went to Shafiques. Our meals were excellent, we both decided on the salmon steaks which were wonderful. Beautifully cooked, lovely flavour, very tasty, Shafique himself welcomed us on arrival, sat and chatted with us for quite a while, which was good. I noticed he treats all his guests as friends, which over the years with repeat visits they become. We will certainly be there again, soon, I hope.

If anyone thinks of using shafiques then I wouldn't bother. Booked a table for 7pm and ensured we wouldn't be rushed. 45 minuets before we are due to arrive we get a text saying you only have an hour and half at your table. I ring up to see if that was a mistake, to then be told they have booked another table in at 8.30 so we had a set time to eat our meal. More focused on income rather than the customer being satisfied with having a great experience.

Bland! If you like your curry “English” you might like it… because seriously zero flavour.. Prawns were shrimp and looked like they were previously dried and rehydrated. Sag Paneer had no paneer, just a tsp of grated cheese on the top and was entirely flavourless. Devoid. Naan was flavourless. Really bad especially for the price.. There are a few good Indian establishments in Worthing, but Shafiques isn’t one. Sorry.

Not your usual curry experience. The food is very bland no flavour spice or salt in any of the foods. We ordered a starter 2 mains rice and naan. Food is on the costly side for something so under flavoured.

Excellent. Food quality is much higher than other Indian restaurants in the area. Always go here when in town. Ask the server for suggestions as they have some great chefs specials that people don’t usually order!

Very disappointing. Others have already said, but the food is mediocre at best - no flavour, chewy chicken, prawns were particularly questionable (to the point we opted not to eat them).. Worthing is not short of excellent Indian places; this is not one of them.

1st Indian meal since moving to Worthing & a very positive experience. Warm greeting, friendly staff & staff respectful in manner & appearance . Beautifully presented food & good proportions. Food incredibly spiced. Reasonably priced. Tables a little too close together would be my only negative comment. Will still visit again though.

Pre-ordered online to collect two hours later. Food was ready on arrival, and hot. Delicious flavours as always. Tender chicken and flavoursome. Before Christmas we did the same thing and the food wasn’t quite ready. We put it down to the Christmas rush and thought we’d try again. We’re glad we did!

We had 4 dishes and none of them had any flavour. The meat was questionable and the prawns were disturbingly translucent.

Thank you for a wonderful evening! We celebrated my nephew's 18th here last night and the staff went out of their way to make the evening special. All of the food was delicious and the portions huge and great value. Almost everything on the menu was gluten free. We'll definitely be back.

Always amazing food and service, over 30 years ive been going, not once have I been let down! Actually just been tonight, outstanding again! Definitely worth a visit if you are local or passing by! Just back from another visit! Genuinely the best, can't get enough of it!! Slightly more expensive than it has been, but that's standard across the board, Also necessary to maintain the high standard of food! We eat well, two courses plus drinks tend to work out about £50 for the two of us, I can put some food away, I NEVER leave hungry, in fact I roll home after!

Really not great. Quite expensive, but that’s not the problem. Chicken was 3rd rate.. chewy/dry/tasteless, and definitely not from a tandoor oven, in my opinion. And, all in all , that’s enough to completely ruin our meal. So— we’ve been duped, basically..by them saying they’ll provide the tikka meat we’ve paid for, and clearly not delivering. . They seem to be letting their standards drop, like so many of the Indian food outlets do. Come on Shafiques— don’t you think you owe us some decent food in return for our loyalty , especially at the moment…

Christmas special dinner. Great food and plentiful. Friendly and efficient service.

We had been told that this was a great Indian restaurant by friends but we were so disappointed. The biriyani appeared to have been microwaved and was extremely bland, keema Nan with no spice, lambs shashlik with no real flavour of spices. Having been to India several times, this is nothing like Indian food. It’s been so dumbed down on the spice level that you can’t call it Indian food. It’s too westernised. We won’t be returning.

A group of us meet here regularly. The food is always excellent, the chicken garlic shashlick is particularly good. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient.

No one does it like Shafiques! I REPEAT, no one does it like Shafiques!! I have eaten here for 10+ years. I travel the UK regularly and have never had another Indian restaurant top Shafiques. The flavours of each individual dish are impeccable. The portions and price are so reasonable and the service has always been great. If you want a flavoursome, top quality Indian, this is the place to order from. No doubt about it. Highly recommend.

Dinner with family on a Sunday evening and it was an absolute delight. Very clean premises, an extensive interesting menu, attentive friendly service and excellent food. I have had the good fortune to eat many curries throughout the world and the Lamb madras was one of the finest I have eaten in the UK. Tender meat, beautifully spiced. No oil or fat to be seen. The cauliflower and onion Bhaji were again free of oil, well spiced and cooked to perfection. Other dishes enjoyed by my family were of equally high standard. Thank you to all concerned for an excellent meal at a reasonable price.

I have used this restaurant for sit down meals but more often for delivered take away chef specials and tandoori grills. Until yesterday I have always rated it very highly. Admittedly I was very early and I was probably the first customer for a take away as the restaurant was empty. I think that may explain why this takeaway was probably the worst and one of the most expensive takeaway tandoori mixed grill I have had in a long time. Cons: Although waiting waiting for 25 minutes - which was not a problem to me - it did not taste freshly prepared. The Tandoori chicken was soft and wet inside, the Nan bread was extremely hard ( purchased as an addition rather than provided with the tandoori mixed grill as it often is) there was no prawn but this was clear from the menu and no onions. Pros: On the positive side there were more tikka pieces than usual and two sheik kababs rather than the usual one, the salad was very good Overall; Although this may not be the case, I am sorry to say that it tasted to me like yesterday's reheat, Quality is much more important than quantity and I feel that this Tandoori mixed grill fell short. The onion bahji I ordered separately was good but much too large for a starter for one .

Very very very bad experience i was here just for one day job some where i ordered food first they are too too much expensive they are charging more tha 3£ just for a normal size naan and they asked to deliver the food in 30 min diver came after one hour and call me and say brother come outside hurrup .. when i get my lunch it was lamb curry i never ate this tasteless curry even before my life so bad experience and they charged double

As a northerner where the best curries are at my bar is set very high. Recently visited friends who says this is the place for a good curry and got a takeaway. Very impressed and cracking curry and would easily hold its own in the norther territories lol.

Usually I would never choose Indian food but I think this experience has changed my mind. The food was incredible, being vegan I got a vegetable dish with coconut rice, it was divine. I went with my parents & 2 cousins from America, everyone was impressed.The owner shafique was so lovely too, really great experience.

Paid £40 on the basis of a starter and a mains as takeaway. For that I would expect great quality food, perhaps with acceptable portions. Not sure if it's just today but all fell short of what I was hoping for. On top of the prices, the little incentive for collection also got removed...This service and quality do not justify the premium price especially when we compare to other local and similar restaurants.

Shafiques seemed pretty popular, and I can see why - excellent food, ready bang on time, friendly and courteous service. Highly recommended.

Superb food - fresh and full of flavour. Spicing spot on. Every bit as good as The Bayleaf, Brighton's best. Staff really friendly and efficient. Can't fault it. Even my father-in-law didn't have anything to grumble about.

Great food, great service, very friendly.

Lovely meal with family and friends, As always the food was to the highest standard. Two of our group had the Chef's Special Biryani (chicken, lamb, prawn and mushroom), served with a vegetable curry, they would highly recommend.

We were going to order and collect our Christmas day meal but hadn't realised that according to the leaflet I should have ordered and paid for it 24 hours ahead, no discounts or deals would be honoured on that particular day plus there would be a 20% surcharge. We decided to by-pass Shafique's and ordered from another reputable and reliable restaurant. Didn't mind the slightly longer drive to collect but not only did we still get the 10% discount for collection but we were also given the free bottle of wine which complimented our meal perfectly. We've been customers of Shafique's since before he even opened the restaurant on the Goring Road and we will return for both eating in and out but felt that the conditions placed on Christmas Day took the rise somewhat. Happy New Year!

Spent a lovely evening here, 3 generations of us. Food, as always, top notch. My 15 month old granddaughter was kept amused by poppadoms and the wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble, we always feel so welcome here. Such a lovely restaurant. We wish them all the best.
