I decided to eat in with my son. I brought my own beer with no corkage charge. My son and I had crisp poppadoms and chutneys. I had a delicious spicy lamb dish with ginger and big lsmb pieces, along with a lovely saag paneer, mushroom pilau rice and keema nan. My son loved his chicken pakora, tandoori chicken and chips. Excellent service from Sham a amazing place for meals in or takeaways. Authentic Bangladeshi food. Excellent service. A amazing place on my doorstep.

As I was tired. I phoned up for a, delivery. My order was taken promptly. Then delivered efficiently and quickly in the correct time by Abdul. I had a delicious lamb Neppalii in a rich delicious and spicy sauce, with big strips of lamb, peppers and onions along with a delicious mushroom pilau rice. A wide and extensive menu. Excellent friendly professional service and consistently excellent and authentic food.

For the first time I ordered on the online menu. It took me a while to scroll down to which items I wanted to order. But was easy enough to use. As I picked my meal up I got a 15% discount. I was greeted by Sham in his usual pleasant and friendly manner. I had a delicious lamb neppali with big strips of lamb, green peppers and onions in a rich and spicy and hot sauce. My wife and I shared a delicious mushroom pilau rice. My wife enjoyed her lamb bhuna and my son enjoyed his chicken tikka and chicken pakora starters and chips. As always consistently a excellent meal. A very wide and varied menu. Easily the best Indian restaurant in Stockport. Highly recommended.

I waited at the restaurant for my food to be cooked. My order was quickly taken. I had a delicious lamb nepali big strips of lamb, pieces of green pepper, in a hot and rich tomato sauce. My wife enjoyed her rich and thick lamb bhuna and sauce. We shared a delicious saag pander. And a lovely mushroom pilau rice. My son enjoyed his chicken tikka and chicken pakora and chips. I ordered the mixed starter, chicken tikka madras with pilau rice & chips for delivery to my girlfriends place in Bredbury. First time I ordered from here. The meat was very high quality and very very tasty in the starter. The chips were perfect and the rice was perfect and the curry sauce was one of the best ever, the perfect blend. It was delicious and very satisfying and I felt like a king. I will definitely recommend this as the best in Bredbury and will definitely get my next takeaway curry here!

I decided to order a delivery this time. Good friendly and efficient service on the phone. My order arrived within the specified time. For a change I ordered lamb napali. This dish had loads of big lamb strips, onion pieces and green pepper pieces in a delicious spicy sauce. Lovely mushroom pilau rice with loads of mushrooms. A lovely large plain nan bread. They have a wide and extensive menu with traditional favourites and more unusual dishes. Consistantly brilliant food. Excellent service. A brilliant restaurant and takeaway.

We went to the restaurant for the first time since lockdown, to celebrate my friends birthday. We both chose the special deal which was 11. 95 per person. We both started with crisp poppadoms and delicious chutneys. I had lamb sheek kebabs which were delicious, my friend had chicken tikka starter which he enjoyed. We both had the lamb apna starter which was spicy and full of lamb and flavour. We shared a pilau rice and a lovely plain nan bread. We paid extra for a lovely tarka daal and bombay aloo. You can bring your own drinks which we did. Excellent service as always and appropriate covid measures in place. Overall a excellent experience as usual.

Wanting a curry for tea so phoned Shabaz and ordered a takeaway it was very nice and I had chicken dupiaza and chicken korahi with garlic nan I would definitely have it again and I thought it was the best curry I have had so I would rate it a 10/10.

I walked this time. Sat in to wait for my order cooked in front of me whilst I was waiting. I had a amazing lamb Shatkora full of chunks of lamb and the sour Shatkora fruit. A lovely mushroom pilau rice and a keema nan. My wife enjoyed her lamb bhuna and nan bread. My son enjoyed his chicken tikka and chicken pakora. The restaurant has reopened again. Always a amazing meal from Abdul, Shaz and the rest of the team.

We phoned up for a delivery this time. A pleasant telephone manner from Shaz taking our order. The food was delivered on time by Abdul. I had a lovely lamb Shatkora on a rich and spicy sauce with big pieces of lamb. My wife enjoyed her lamb bhuna. We shared a lovely mushroom rice, a lovely big plain nan bread. My son enjoyed his chicken pakora and chicken tikka starter and his portion of chips. I cannot recommend this brilliant restaurant and takeaway enough. Easily the best in the area by some way.

As it was blowing a gale we decided to phone up for a delivery. Usual efficient and friendly service over the telephone by Abdul.My wife and I had lovely prawn puree starters with a excellent puri bread and lovely prawn curry inside. My son enjoyed his chicken pakora dish. I had my favourite Lamb Shatkora dish a lovely rich spicy sauce flavoured with the shatkora fruit a lovely bangladeshi dish and lovely big pieces of lamb. With this I had a lovely mushroom pilau rice and a great keema nan with lovely lamb keema. My wife enjoyed her chicken shashlick dish and my son enjoyed his chicken tikka. A amazing restaurant whether eating in or ordering a takeaway. Great efficient, friendly and proffesional service. A great menu with a wide range of dishes including many bangladeshi dishes. Ordered food tonight and all I can say it was the best curry I have eaten in a long time. It is good to think that even after over a year since my last order, the food here is still exceptional. The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to provide a fantastic service for their customers. Highly recommend Shabaz Balti House from someone who is a very fussy eater.

This time I took a friend to my favourite local indian restaurant in Stockport.We decided upon the £11.95 meal deal for each person for a sit down meal in the restaurant. We started with lovely crisp poppadum's a range of chutneys including red onion chutney, lime pickle, mango chutney and raita which were all delicious. A range of starters were available we both chose the lamb sheek kebabs which were delicious with 2 per portion full of flavour. For our main courses we both had Lamb Nagga Massala, a very rich and hot and spicy dish flavoured with lovely nagga chillies and loads of big chunks of lamb. We shared a pilau rice with plenty of rice for both of us. We also shared a lovely keema nan full of keema lamb. Finishing with coffee's.Excellent service as usual by Shaz and Abdul. Always a great atmosphere, great to hear the 1950's and 1960's music in the background.They do a wide range of dishes from traditional curry house favourites, along with a good range of bangladeshi dishes.You can either eat in the restaurant or get a takeaway and see it cooked in the open kitchen. Or you can telephone for a delivery.A amazing place. So blessed to have this on my doorstep.

Came on last Sunday service was great but the food was vile and it feels like who ever made the lamb mehzbani doesn't know how to cook. Shame as it was a really good place.

Rich and full of flavour with a lovely sour taste created by the shatkora fruit. This time I went to. the open kitchen to order my meal. Abdul promptly and politely took my order. I was given a coffee as I was waiting. It did not take to long for my order to be cooked as I watched them cooking it in the open kitchen.

I phoned up again for a delivery this time. Abdul took my order, and gave me a accurate time as to when my order would be delivered. I had my usual mushroom pilau rice, lovely Lamb Shatkora, with big chunks of lamb in a rich and spicy sauce, with the shatkora sauce giving a nice sour and fruity note to the curry. I phoned up again. For a change this time I ordered a lamb bhuna. A lovely rich curry sauce full of flavour and big chunks of tasty lamb. Tasty mushroom pilau rice and a lovely keema nan. Delivered promptly. Generous portion size. Excellent range of dishes on the menu.

I went in last bank holiday with my family and I have to say it was amazing. The atmosphere, service by Sham and food was amazing. I totally reccomend the lamb mehzbani which is from tge new menu and mix starter 2. The peshwari and garlic bread were really nice overall shabaz gets a 10/10 from me.BEST CURRY HOUSE IN BREDBURY.

We were made welcome and showed to table, where we given a brief explanation of the food i.e. we could have it spiced accordingly (hot- mild) as they cook fresh.

My friend and I visited this evening , firstly the service was terribly slow , we arrived at around 6.00 pm , the order was taken promptly it was the time we waited between the serving of the popadoms till our main meal , it took an hour ! We was then really disappointed or should I say shocked when we asked for a wrap up for our left overs , the waiter said there would be an additional charge of a £ each for this service , really we have paid for the food already ! And to put it bluntly we only visited this restaurant because of it established reputation for the offers it has available during the week , which again , I was very disappointed about as they are no longer available due to a new menu , so all in all we was very disappointed .

Had the lamb madras with pilau rice, naan, spicy pappadoms and onion bhaji. First the lamb, very tender and juicy, the madras sauce enjoyably hot with sweet undertones and a spicy kick, the pilau rice was soft and tender without being starchy, or stodgy. The naan was very light and fluffy and an excellent complament due to the amount of sauce. The pappadoms were nice but a liitle over cooked for my liking (can't complain). The portions were more than enough. You do get mango chutney, and spiced onions which were absolutely gorgeous. Would recommend will go again.

We decided to order a takeaway this time. I ordered my regular lamb shatkora, full of big chunks of lamb, a lovely sour sauce flavoured with the shatkora fruit, a lovely mushroom pilau rice full of mushrooms, a great plain nan. My wife enjoyed her lamb bhuna, and my son enjoyed his chips.

We have been to the restaurant plenty of times and know the staff really well, Abdul, Sham and the young lad who works there on weekends. The restaurant is very much satisfactory but it has stayed the same for such a long time. Normally we book for a large number like parties and all of our family events we arrange in the restaurant but unfortunately I was poorly last few weeks and I had a takeaway 31st of January 2019 and I’ve never had a worse kebab like this. There was no meat on the kebab, a couple pieces of cold chicken, bread and some salad. I spoke with the guy who delivered it to my address and the lad said the kebabs usually come out like this. The kebab and curry I got was also cold. I rang the Takeaway back and the same lad who delivered it answered and he didn’t bother to take my complaint, he hung up. I do like shabaz usually but I want to help them become better and I hope I wasn’t coming across offensive.

Brilliant food, staff lovely and reasonable prices. There is a good selection on the Menu and also they have a meal deal if you want 3 course meal etc., It is a take your own drinks which I personally prefer rather than getting ‘ripped off’ for over priced drinks in some restaurants. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone

It is difficult to explain in words what a brilliant restaurant and takeaway this place in all the 20 plus years I have known it. I am a former curry club member and have been to numerous indian retaurant's of all kinds across Greater Manchester and the UK.

Excellent relaxing meal. Good food and brilliant service from the superb Abdul. The service and food are outstanding and at a fair price.

Shaz es un camarero brillante que no puede hacer más por ti. La comida es deliciosa y fresca y se adaptan a su gusto si desea un ligero cambio en un plato. Recientemente ha sido redecorado y se ve lindo y moderno.

Decidimos telefonear para una entrega esta vez. Pedí mi plato regular de cordero shatkora lleno de sabor y cordero muy sabroso, un precioso arroz pilaf con hongos, gran chappati. Mi esposa tenía un bhuna de cordero encantador lleno de sabor.

Vine aquí para un curry para llevar. Pedí mi comida habitual, observé a los magos en el trabajo en la cocina abierta cocinar su increíble comida. Tenía mi regular cordero Shatkora carga de cordero y salsa llena de sabor y no grasa, setas arroz pilau lleno de setas, sabroso, un gran keeman nan, con carne de keema de cordero sabroso. Agradable y fresco.

Went to the takeaway part of the restaurant ordered Lamb Shatkora, Lamb Bhuna, Mushroom Pilau rice and a plain nan bread. Lovely flavourfull shatkora dish full of lamb lovely sour citrus shatkora fruit in the curry, thick bhuna sauce, mushroom pllau rice full of mushrooms and lots of flavour,big and fluffy nan bread.

Since it was a very cold night, for the first time from Shabaz we ordered a delivery. I ordered a Lamb shatkora, mushroom rice, and a Lamb Balti for my wife, along with a plain nan bread. Polite and efficient service over the telephone. Order delivered in under a hour which was good for a peak time on a saturday evening.

Was going to sit in, but the weather was awful so decided to have it delivered instead. Couldnt fault the 3 meals we had, lots of flavour and plenty of meat in them. We enjoyed it so much we are going to have it again at the weekend.

Went here for a birthday meal. Had to go early as it was fully booked later on. Still packed. Started off with the usual crisp warm poppadums and chutney. Then had a mixed tandoori starter, with lovely chicken tikka pieces, lovely lamb tikka pieces, a tasty lamb sheek kebab, a lovely tandoori lamb chop, with loads of meat. Had a main course of King Prawn Shatkora, full of flavour with a lovely sour taste, King Prawns cooked to perfection, not overcooked. Had a mushroom pliau rice full of flavour, a lovely Tarka daal lovely garlic flavour, a lovely Keema nan, fresh and tasty. All food served promptly for our group, and hot and full of flavour.

A massive menu choice, good choice of main courses on the deal, I had my favourite Lamb Shatkora, with the lovely sour fruit, big chunks of lamb and rich sauce. I go here very often normally if my family wants a quick easy meal that tastes nice. We go here for some of my families birthdays sometimes and it is always to a high standard wether taking out or eating in. I would highly recommend to anybody.

This time I went with a group of friends. Had the usual poppadums and chutney's then a lovely portion of two sheek kebabs full of flavour. Had my usual dish of Lamb Shatkorah bursting with flavour a authentic bangladeshi dish, lovely mushroom rice, a amazing Keema nan, full of meat. Superb service by Shaz and Abdul. This place always gives a brilliant meal, amazing quality. So well run by Abdul and his team.

I run out of superlatives for this place. Yet again had the amazing Lamb Shatkora, which contains a bangladeshi sour fruit, easily my favourite curry dish from my favourite curry house, big chunks of lamb with a rich sauce., my wife had a lovely Lamb bhuna with a rich sauce loads of lamb again, a lovely mushroom pliau rice, amazing keema nan with lots of meat, and a lovely fluffy nan bread.Whether we have a takeaway or sit down meal, I have never had a bad meal from this place, consistantly brilliant quality bangladeshi food, cooked by Abdul and his team including Shaz in the restaurant, friendly people, with great attention to detail and pride in the food they serve. Shabaz Balti House, as usual gave us a brilliant meal. A group of 12 blokes, all went for the amazing £8.95 deal, which I had poppodum's and chutneys, Chicken Tikka starter really tasty lovely chunks of Chicken, Lamb Shatkora( A sour citrus fruit), a lovely authentic bangladeshi curry, mushroom pilau rice, Keema Nan, generous portions. Great service from Shaz and Abdul. Bring your own drinks, easily the best Indian in Stockport. Always amazing good food.

Visited last night. It was absolutely packed and people without reservations were turned away. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Very reasonably priced due to bringing your own drinks.

We recently visited Shabaz with friends at the start of January. We dined on the early bird deal which is fantastic value for money. We got four courses for under £10 and they were all fantastic. All of our food was incredibly tasty and we'll presented.We cannot recommend enough. The staff are great. We visited while two large parties were eating, our waiter did not neglect us and continually made sure we had everything we needed. Best curry house in the area!

There were 24 of us Xmas eve the food was excellent service good and staff great. For an indian meal this is ideal and use regularly.

This place is far more than just a takeaway, it is a amazing restaurant as well. Had a lovely takeaway Lamb Shatkora, Lamb Bhuna, both with lovely thick, rich, flavourful sauces, a child sized Chicken Tikka Massala, lovely Mushroom Pliau rice, a lovely Keema Nan, and large Fluffy Nan bread. Intended to get a takeaway but decided to sit in due to pressure from 3 year old..Lovely and clean 3tables busy eating when we arrived.Waiter very friendly and efficient.Took order and brought poppadum's for us to eat while waiting..The food we ordered wasn't to long coming to the table..Loved every bit of it from the starters to the nann breads and the curry's where gorgeous.Not to pricey.Booked for pre Christmas family gathering and you can take your own drinks..Winner all round.

As usual Abdul and his team always deliver a first class meal. eight pounds and ninety five pence, is a bargain, for their deal, popadums and lovely chutneys, lovely chicken tikka starter, with a range of other delicious starters, a lovely Lamb Shakora main, with big chunks of lamb, good choice of other mains, including fish dishes, shared a pilau rice and Nan bread with my wife. First class service from Shaz, lovely modern restaurant, bring your own drink, easily the best indian in Stockport.

Staff are always very welcoming. Food is always spot on and fantastic value for money. Love how you take your own alcohol in and they provide the glasses stops the bill for escalating like it does in most restaurants. Fantastic place highly recommend

Ordered a brilliant takeaway. amazing Lamb Shatkora(authentic Bangladeshi dish), lovely Mushroom Rice,Wife had a lovely Lamb Bhuna with large pieces of Lamb and a rich sauce, Great fluffy Keema Nan and a Massive fluffy plain Nan for my wife. Always great service, brilliant food, usually get a free coffee for when you are waiting, can watch them cook the food as it is a open kitchen. Can eat in the dining room lovely meals. Tucked away in a run of 60's built shops and takeaways, the Shabaz Balti House is nothing to look at, but when you step inside, what a great little Indian Restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic with the prices being very reasonable. Decor is modern Indian restaurant style with a cosy number of tables. The staff are friendly and attentive too. And as they don't have a license, you can bring in your own booze too! A win win! Best Indian in Stockport by some way. Lamb Shatkorah is amazing lovely bangladeshi dish, lovely big Keema Nan, lovely pilau rice, great service. Have been going to this place for 18 1/2 years cannot fault it, Amazing service, pride and attention to detail from Abdul and his team.

I have been here twice and 1st time the curry was gorgeous it was just before the x-mass but the 2nd time it was on Friday night in the takeaway the food I had was really badly made chicken Balti very oily and the sauce was over cooked and red hot. I don't know what was the wrong with my order . The service and everything is very good .I m loving to go again when I will get a good curry .

Easily the best Indian restaurant /takeaway in Stockport.Friendly staffExcellent menu.As you have to take your own alcoholic drinks this keeps the prices down for the meals.I usually go in with my wife for mid week tea, we have a couple of popadoms each with all the chutneys, then a curry each with either rice or chips , the bill is around £15.00.

5* food always premium and upto standard always helpful and polite and as for the food we've been ordering/ going for years and we simply love it never got a meal wrong worth a visit! Or a night in as they do deliver

My wife and I have been coming to Shabaz weekly for nearly 20 years we've seen a few staff changes in that time but they have always been replaced by equally friendly people,the present staff Abdul & Sham are very knowledgable and accommodating about the dishes and we like to call them friends. The food is excellent value for money in taste and quality, they don't have a alcohol licence so you take your own drinks with you which means you can have a wine you know at supermarket prices,all in all a lovely cheap evening.

Great place to eat in or take out. Take ya own alcohol. (shop couple of doors down) Great night with friends or family. Less than a tenner each for poppadoms, starter, main, rice or chips. Or choose from main menu. Foods gorgeous and the staff are really friendly. Only problem is theres very little parking. Defo recommend

Lovely curries, would recommend the "chicken tikka balti madras" You can also eat in and take your own drinks too. Friendly staff!

Good good, great service and the set menu is definitely worth a go! Not to the standards of a normal curry resteraunt but definitely worth the money.

This takeaway also has a dining room which you can take your own alcohol in, and on weekdays they do a 4 coarse special, poppadoms, starter, main, and rice or naan , for £8.95 and the food is fantastic, better than any curry house I have eaten in!! The staff are great I can't reccomend it enough. Top notch and great choiceC. Jackson

We have eaten at the Shabaz from the day it opened having had takeaways before this we always have enjoyed the food.The restaurant has been modernised in the last year or so and is very clean and tidy. It has no alcohol licence and therefore you can bring your own which make the meal cheap and the staff will provide free glasses and bottle openers.The staff all know me by name and I cannot say I have ever had a bad meal here I would suggest the previous bad reviews may have been unlucky as I have eaten here maybe 100 times and been perfectly ok.They have various set menus to choose from and you can pick your own. The prices are the same as the takeway prices so eating in costs nothing extra and the food is freshly made to order.I would try the set meal which is £ 8.95. You get Popadoms, Starter and main, followed by slices of orange and a mint.You can basically choose anything of the menu for your main. I would suggest having a chicken chat puri ( I dont even think its on the menu at all But they made it for me once and I have had it every time since.)I usually have a keema madras my wife chooses Fish Razalla which is curried cod in light batter really nice.So if you want a simple fresh meal this is the place. You can't go wrong with the prices and the staff look after you.

One of the best takeaway's and always fantastic food in there restaurant with very good service . Really fresh tasty food and lots of menu choice . Been going here for about 10 years . Never let's you down

I have eaten here for ten years now and never had a bad meal .I have been in the resturant and the staff are friendly and also don,t hover over you while you are eating which i like . Last night i had a chicken tikka and seek kebab with salad on a nan bread it was the best i had in years . and only cost a fiver .i would recommend this to any HUNGRY PERSON as one of the tasty snacks available at this excellent restauarant take away in Bredbury Stockport . thanks Spencer.

For a quick tasty takeaway, this is the place to be. Had a chicken burger it was very nice, all of my friends had different things and said it was really tasty aswell.

Great value for money, Foods good as well, very welcoming especially to family's. You have to take your own alcoholic drinks but this is not a problem. Soft drinks are available and they supply the glasses.

Visited this takeaway after a recommendation from a friend and it was a huge mistake as the food was of a very low standard and extremely oily and greasy.wont be returning.

Abdul runs a top Indian/bangladeshi restaurant, had a lovely tandoori mixed grill, with a lovelyh chicken leg, shish kebab, chicken and lamb tikka, lovely Mushroom rice and a beatiful nan bread., Always a great meal, whether eating in or takeaway, a open kitchen where you can see them cooking. Food came on time. The food was bit oily very average. That night later on had really bad stomach cramps and dihareah this carried on untill the next day. Never again

Food shocking made me and partner poorly, I do not recommend please do not go there. Food arrived on time but not nice food.

Shabaz Balti, have a dining room, where you can have a meal and bring your own drink. I had a lovely bangladeshi lamb dish Nab achar ( I think),and my wife had a lovely lamb birani. I had a lovely keema naan, and my wife a lovely big naan. A great meal at great value with good service, a very extensive menu. A well run place by Abdul.
