We came in on the off chance as was in the area and also recommended by someone an boy they did not disappoint ... staff were very welcoming we was seen by Bev... the food was very yummy ... and dessert was even better... will defo be back thanks for feeding us x

We went for Sunday family lunch to celebrate what would have been our mum’s birthday as this was her favourite restaurant. Food was first class as was the service. One gripe. Extremely disappointed as we booked and paid a deposit for 10 people and only 8 of us could make it due to last minute sickness and we were deducted the 2 poorly peoples deposit as no show so £20. We were told it’s the restaurant policy. Surely this could have been discretionary. Sgt Peppers was our lovely mum and dad’s place they would go for special occasions and take friends and family (and were known to the staff) and I know they would have been as surprised and disappointed as we were. Would have given 5 stars if we hadn’t had this experience.

We had a large family gathering whilst visiting the beautiful Burnham on. Touch and thoroughly enjoyed our get together in Sgt Peppers where the food & drinks were of a high standard! The staff Amy, Bev, Charlotte & Christy knew the menu and gave great recommendations and service! A definite venue to return to when we next visit!! Thanks to the staff for being so friendly & efficient and all done with a smile even though they were so busy!

We stayed in Burnham for 2 nights and found this gem on the 1st night. Food, service and staff were so great we went back for our 2nd evening! Superb food, staff and service. Can’t fault the place and will definitely go back 🤩

I don't know why I was not keen to go to Sgt Pepper, but it was absolutely brilliant. The food was amazing, and plentiful. We could not have had better service. My only complaint is other diners who seem to think it is acceptable for their kids to scream and run around. I would definitely do again. Thank you.

Quiet lunchtime (apart from us) helpful staff and good service. The waitress even dealt very sweetly with us mucking up paying ...not her fault, we just made the error.

Ate here last weekend for a friend's Birthday and it was a fab night. The staff were attentive, the salad bar was super fresh and the ribs are always the best, falling off the bone, I can't get enough. Will be going back to try the fajitas, my boyfriend had those and they looked great, though he wouldn't share so I couldn't say for sure haha, but nice fresh wraps, obviously freshly cooked, I will try and leave room for desserts next time. Definitely recommend this as a great place for dinner with friends/family or date night.

Had a nice evening meal here. Ribs were great, son very much enjoyed the hot dog. Nice atmosphere and good service. Would recommend.

We went for lunch here today to try their new lunch menu. The food we ordered was 5*, everything was hot and so tasty. We had the prawn ciabatta with normal fries and the Korean chicken ciabatta with sweet potato fries and all were delicious, servings are generous and very filling that we were unable to have a dessert. We also had a coke and a glass of red wine, we were happy to see the glass for the coke came out of the freezer. Overall a lovely lunch experience and our compliments go to the chef and the waiting staff. If you haven’t tried their lunch menu yet, give it a go, you won’t be disappointed

I had dinner about 4 times here. Im so upset really because I have to entertain alot of friends coming from Essex and London. I keep going back but after the last time i was embarrased in front of my friends who visited us, the food was burnt and not worth the money. please sort it out. I love the atmosphere.

Ordered delivery online. Usually over £15 its free for my area as this shows on their ordering website. Then £2.50 was added for delivery. So NOT free then? Fobbed off with a change in process. No offer to refund the money but there you go. Food arrived 10 mins outside the delivery slot. Some of it was cold and went in the bin. Questioned the service and got told I could phone the manager. I said if the manager was that bothered they would phone me. No phone call - no surprise. Its a shame as this place is usually really good. Slippery slope when you treat your repeat customers this way.

1st visit here also last.Pre booked 7 of us with 2 children. Mostly burgers of different names ( though on arrival all the same) ordered with ribs. Garlic bread etc. starters Onion rings garlic bread and a plate on Nachos Ok Then waited 1.5 hours...

We have never been disappointed. The burgers are lovely! Be aware though that the portions are huge! We will be back!!!!

Had a lovely birthday meal with my husband, rounded off with a lovely touch with the waitresses signing happy birthday and a slice of chocolate fudge cake.

We went for a family meal and we were all so pleased with our experience! I ordered the smoked mountain burger (pictured). It was delicious! My family had the spicy mushroom pasta, JD combo and pulled pork fajitas - all of which were thoroughly enjoyed!...

I even offered to pay up front and walk to the place where there would deliver to and they refused. We have never tried their food and never will now...

Took my daughter and grandchildren out for Sunday lunch. The food is always very good. The chicken burgers have become a regular choice as well as the Southern fried chicken. Staff are always excellent and friendly. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed, prawns over cooked and tasteless, steaks that some of our party had was also tasteless…we took home for the dogs!! It took over two hours for a starter and a main and in that time was offered one drink…so service not good at...

Sunday lunch of Roast Beef with all the extras, plus Apple Pie with custard and cream. Absolutely fabulous. Will be back soon x

What a fab place always eaten in as a treat given current circumstance ordered takeaway which they made available over their entire menu. Was delivered in the time frame given paid over the phone so no worries about handling cash. Delivery man kept his distance. Food was an amazing standard same as eating in was all hot, plentiful and crispy chips (not usual on delivery) hats off to the team still delivering such a fab service given the current situation. This a retro American diner a la Frankie and Bennies. We both had ribs which fell off the bone. I wasn’t keen on the JD sauce but my wife loved it so that was a taste thing. We were in our own in the restaurant so couldn’t comment on the waiting as she only had us to contend with. My wife is keen to go back and we’ve tried twice at lunchtime. The second time we investigated and discovered its only open for lunch at weekends.

Our first visit and won’t be our last , recently moved to latchingdon and was pleasantly surprised, very welcoming and friendly staff, lovely food and good value too , see you soon

We come here every christmas eve as a family of 4, 2 adults, a 9 yr old and 4 yr old. The staff make you feel very welcome. The food is great and so are the drinks. Can not fault a single thing.

I dont live in the area any more but was visiting my Mum. Popped in here late on Sunday afternoon for a roast dinner with my Mum, but didn't realise they no longer did them. It had been a while! Ended up ordering a steak dinner; me a Rib Eye with a Jacket Potato and Mum a Fillet with chips and both had a pepper sauce.Certainly not cheap, but turned out to be well worth the money. Steaks were cooked to perfection (medium rare as specified) and the sauce was tasty and chips and jacket were lovely.Really lovely staff, friendly and helpful.Will definitely be returning at earliest opportunity.

Used to live in neighbouring village 6 years ago and came here on a good few occasions. Brought my wife here for her birthday and drove all the way from North London on a Thursday just to eat in this restaurant! We eat our favourite on the menu a rack of bbq ribs. They tasted as good as always and the meat fell off the bone yum! The restaurant is very clean and friendly. Always busy with the locals. the service is second to none. Glad we came back. The prices are very reasonable.

Started by having to wait 10 minutes to order some drinks, when they finally arrived we had to ask and wait again for a glass to go with our bottles of beer. The one starter we ordered was forgotten, the jacket potato was forgotten,the rice was forgotten with the jerk chicken, which was also cold, my wife's spinach had not been washed so therefore gritty. We did receive an apology and offered free deserts but enough was enough, so paid up and made a sharp exit never to return.

Great restaurant for a special occasion and staff look after you really well. Food was fine too, ribs were good.

16 of us visited for an 18th birthday meal. From the start of booking the staff and owners could not have been more helpful. They even decorated the table and set the cake up for us. Everyone enjoyed the quantity and the quality of the food which was served up with a smile from staff who cannot help enough. I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. The boys enjoyed the beer served in glasses fresh from the freezer and the girls loved the cocktails also

Always a great place to eat. Wide variety of items on the menu and flexibility on combinations you want, whether it is a full meal or a smaller bite. Great atmosphere which is suitable for couples families or larger parties. Recommend booking in advance as popularity means most evenings are busy. Cocktail bar adds that little extra to the variety of drinks available, all at a reasonable price.You are always warmly welcommed and brilliantly served and looked after.

Busy, popular themed restaurant. They have gone to a lot of trouble to decorate the walls with posters and memorabilia relating to Elvis Presley, The Beatles etc. The music is 1950s and 1960s era. It's a nice place to eat. Very friendly, attentive staff. The quality of the food was rather variable, though. This is the sort of food I like - steaks, burgers, ribs, nachos with cheese, buffalo wings, the sort of thing you get at TGI or at Arbuckles. The buffalo wings tasted odd, and we didn't finish them. I don't know if the chicken was off, or the flavouring was at fault. The nachos were plentiful and very nice. My ribs in barbecue sauce were absolutely smothered in a thick sauce that might have come from a bottle, I don't know, but anyway it was nowhere near as nice as the Tennessee variant of the ribs which seemed to be marinated in something flavoursome. Ribs come with chips or salad - it would be healthier if they provided vegetables instead of making them an optional side order. The salmon was good. The "rest rooms" consisted of one male and one female cubicle and they could do with greater capacity there. Beer nicely chilled. Might try this restaurant again if we're in the area.

We decided to come here to eat as we heard a lot of positive things about this restaurant and they were right. A very warm welcome. Service was fantastic, waitress was very helpful, polite and very welcoming. The menu was great too and food was fantastic. The salad was brilliant and very fresh indeed. So many of our new friends and neighbours in Burnham sing the praises of Sgt Peppers and last night with a free evening we headed off to give it a try. 162andrewa review sold me on the ribs, my wife chose the Chicken Fajita and my daughter the Salmon steak. The table we were given had lots of food mess on the floor but we went with the flow. The surroundings are quirky and we enjoyed the music and picking out the artists we knew posted around the restaurant. By now we'd been in there about 1 hour and still no sight of our food. The waitress eventually came over only to tell my daughter that the chef and dropped the salmon on the floor and that was the last one funny enough and would she like something else. We had enough by this time so we simply put our coats on and left. They did waiver the drinks which I thought was the least they could do.

Three tips, try the ribs, try the ribs, try the ribs. My partner had an excellent fillet stake with an exceptional blue cheese, but, if I wasn’t clear, I recommend trying the ribs. Cocktails £4.95 between 8 and 10. All nice, good range, reasonable sizes/alcohol content, nothing skimped on. Burgers looked good.

Food fantastic, service brilliant, everyone so friendly and helpful. Everything is so nice have trouble choosing what I want. We often have a takeaway on a saturday when they deliver. We can't treat ourselves to eating out often but when we do ,it's always Peppers.

A Sunday, a new car and a drive out somewhere... but where to go. A perennial favourite for the whole family is Burnham-on-Crouch, despite what Stewart Lee says. The drive out was great and we just picked blind luck and stopped outside Sgt Pepper's and we picked very well! Inside there is some great show biz ephemera all over the walls, pictures of movie stars, singers and in our booth, a whole load of James Bond pictures. My son is 16 and autistic, and for him the very apex of fine dining is an American diner, and he was very happy with what we found. We were greeted very warmly by two lovely waitresses and led to our booth. We started by sharing a plate of nachos smothered in sour cream, salsa and melted cheese. Very nice. Main courses were all burgers, a New York for my son, a southern style chicken burger for me and my wife had a chicken breast burger. Really nice, well cooked and very tasty. Somehow my son even managed to force down a toffee ice cream sundae as well. With drinks as well it still came to less than £60 which I think was pretty good. Great atmosphere, very friendly, good salad bar, lovely staff and big fans of Henry VIII - what can I say? We'll be back for a start, and thank you very much!

The tables were so close together it was really hard to get out of your set with out asking the person behind you to please pull their seat in. The noise level was really far too.

It was mine and my wife’s wedding anniversary and I made a special request to the restaurant (as I know they make the most wonderful Beef Wellington on their Christmas menu) so I asked if they could make one for us on our special day. The restaurant said that it would be no problem so I ordered it.

The waiters kept delivering the drinks to the wrong tables. I could forgive that as there were two large parties in progress. What should never be compromised by a restaurant is the quality of food. I ordered New York burger. The roll tasted stale the burger itself was rubbery and tough. One person at the table ordered curry which turned out to be tasteless. The side order of garlic bread was I suspect same stale bin as my roll. The spare ribs were again a tough chew.

This place is mental. The atmosphere in here is top class loved it. The music was brilliant only small criticism that you can't stand out side with your drink while you have a smoke. Apart from that 100% recommend this placr

Visited here with my 14 year old grandson. The welcome was like nothing I'd had before, so genuine and friendly! We hadn't booked but were given a table. The menu had plenty choice for us both. The breaded prawns were so tasty and the garlic bread delicious.

Decided on a last minute dinner when in Burnham and happened upon this restaurant. Funky inside with an American rock and roll theme and from the moment we walked in, we felt so welcome from the staff. They were so accommodating even though we hadn't booked. We ordered starters and then added to the order when I saw the cheesey garlic bread arrive at another table and it looked amazing. For mains we had ribeye steak, cooked to perfection and no lie, the best ribs I have ever tasted. They fell off the bone and the Tennessee Jack Daniels sauce was so tasty. Found out the place has been open 22 years and I can't believe we have never heard of it. Will definitely be back and will be recommending highly to anyone we see. Went0 here last night for a meal with the family. There were 2 children with us but nothing seems like too much trouble for the staff. Over the years Ive been here a few times and never had a bad meal ir anything to complain about. Its well worth a vist

Lovely staff, food was very nice and large portions served, cocktails were lovely, nice musical environment. My husband daughter and 2 year old grandson ate here early on a Friday evening and we all enjoyed our food and the atmosphere.

This restaurant never fails to deliver. Good fun, good food and pretty good prices! Salad bar is a little bit dated - a lot of mayo based etc. We will be back!

Took my mum here for food and cocktails and wasn't disappointed! The Pina Colada is mouth watering and the food is to die for, especially the prawns and BBq ribs! Definitely going to be coming back soon!

Found this little gem after taking a wrong turn and ending up in Burnham-on-crouch, After spending hours in the car my friend and I decided to stop for food.

Came for a quick eat on the bank holiday weekend.

Went here last night with friends that live locally. Cool busy vibe and friendly staff. I had been recommended the ribs and went for a full with JD sauce - perfection. I’ve eaten ribs at several American themed restaurants but none have come close to these - meat just falls off the bone and tasty. Mixed staters were good and the Fillet Mignon the ladies had I’m told were perfect. Good selection of fair priced wine and a nice choice on the salad bar. Have a feeling will be back here again.

They managed again to fit us in. Never disappointed here. Great food, service & atmosphere. Highly recommend.

This restaurant was a surprise as from the outside it did not appeal to me. I had the burger with pulled pork which was lovely and very filling. The staff are extra friendly (but not over the top) and the Peroni was ice cold. The inside of the restaurant is surprisingly large and I think combined with the menu and staff would make a great place to have a birthday or other celebration. We will return (and have tried but it was full up so booking may be required).

We travelled from 1/2 hour away to Burnham on Crouch for the first time today, on a Saturday afternoon. We liked the look of this restaurant and decided on a late lunch here. 2 adults 2 children.

We took our Geordie friends here for the first time on Thursday last week, as usual the food was fantastic, with great staff.

Good American style food. Place looks great since it's refurbishment. Evenings tend to be better for choice as we have found not everything on the menu is available lunchtimes. That said it's all good and the staff are fab x

We have had food from here once or twice. The food is good but pricey for what it is. The prices went up again last year putting them out of the market we feel in comparison to other similar places.

When I visit friends in the area we regularly order from the extensive menu. The food is good quality and the prices are good, the portions are generous and the delivery time is always about 20 minutes, which is great.

Me and the wife managed to get a rare date night in and decided to try Sgt Peppers as we are local but never had the chance to visit and boy are we glad we didThe restaurant was packed with it being a Friday night but the staff especially the lady on front desk could not do enough for you and made sure everyone was attended to and looked after despite being rushed off their feet.The food was amazing and the portions were ample!! I went for the ribs and they wasn't lying about being fall off the bone and hanging the plate - best I've probably had. The wife had JD Chicken and again was not disappointed.Service was speedy and efficient without being too over bearingWe will definitely be returning and can recommend this to anyone.
