Seumas' Bar in Highland

The service was chaotic. Food, cannot be termed food. Scampi was hugely over priced for a grey, lukewarm, sludge. Live locally but will never return to this place. They rely on passing trade completely, if it was entirely local demand they would cease to excist.

You just can't beat this place for location the surroundings are stunning and so is the food, we tried the venison stew and it was amazing.

A great place to eat. Very busy and they don’t take booking for under six people so we had to wait 1 ½ for a table and our food. That was okay as it’s a lovely bar and we could sit and have a drink whilst we waited. We all had burgers that were great but not as good as GBK! We also tried the cauliflower wings starter which was tasty.

Really this bar was just fine. Arrived to find that they had a wait for food service. They handled it well, we waited in the “bar”, got drinks and the were seated for food. Everything was good, very casual. No complaints and the folks were pleasant.

Despite requesting a reservation/ they state you don’t need one . Also checked on the day - same message . Arrive at 6.30 pm to see tables reserved for large groups and nothing available til 8.30 earliest so would have to wait . Either it is or is not taking reservations . Don’t waste your time is my advice

Pretendeert uitgeroepen te zijn tot "whisky bar of the year", maar titel niet waardig. Barvrouw constateert dat restant whisky in fles te weinig is voor een glas, maar serveert het toch zonder het aan te vullen. En dat voor een duur glas whisky.

We visited here just after 5pm and managed to get the last table of four, as it was busy with walkers. We all enjoyed our meal and had cullen skink, haggis bon bons, soup, burger and vegetarian curry. It was very well priced and the music was good too.

Amazing food and drinks. Staff were lovely. Huge choice of drinks and the staff were lovely. Would recommend booking.

Piège à touristes ⚠️ Les avis positifs sont souvent une erreur et correspondent au restaurant se situant juste à côté (visible grâce aux photos) Très déçue du restaurant : Nous venons à 10, on me dit au téléphone pas de réservation possible, il faut venir et voir si il y a de la place. En arrivant à 19h, 1h30 d’attente car il y a des tables réservées (je croyais qu’ils ne prenaient pas les réservations ?). Nous décidons d’attendre, et sommes re-accueillis à 20h30 comme si l’on dérangeait. Il n’est pas bien tard mais il manque déjà plus de la moitié des plats sur la carte. Nous nous rabattons donc sur les basiques : burgers, fish and chips et un plat de scampi et frites. Tous les plats arrivent et ne sont rien d’autres que des plats surgelés, alors qu’il est bien inscrit "homemade" sur la carte. Le Burger enfant ne consiste en rien d’autre qu’un steak entre deux pains sans sauce ni tranche de tomate (d’après la serveuse c’est apparement normal car les enfants ne mangent pas beaucoup). Je pense honnêtement que si nous avions acheté un paquet de scampi et des burgers tous prêts chez Tesco ça aurait eu le même goût. Nous n’avons pas pris de desserts, ceux dans la vitrine ne donnaient vraiment pas envie de manger. En plus de ça, il faut aller chercher sa propre vaisselle ainsi que commander au comptoir, et si vous n’interpellez pas les serveurs malgré le fait qu’ils soient à quelques centimètres de vous de l’autre côté du bar, vous ne serez pas servis. En bref, plus de 100 pounds pour 6 plats surgelés, sans desserts ni apéritifs. Très cher pour manger ce genre de nourriture, a éviter autant que possible.

Un bel attrape nigauds. Avec ses 400 whiskys annoncés tient ses promesses, le cadre est agreable. Malheureusement, le personnel n'est pas avenant et le cote restaurant une veritable catastrophe : la cuisine fonctionne uniquement avec un congelateur et un micro ondes, les scampi n'ont absolument aucun gout, les steacks, soit disant issues de boeuf locaux ressemblent vraiement a ceux de ma grande surface habituelle. Les hamburgers adultes sont servus froids, alors que ceux du menu enfant se composent uniquement de 2 buns et d'un steack mal decongelé En clair, un lieu a éviter si vous avez prévu de bien manger

Attrape touristes, à part le bar avec les 400 whiskys, rien ne vaut le coup dans cet endroit qu’on ne peut pas appeler un restaurant. Il faut aller commander soi même et ramener soi même sa vaisselle à table. Repas surgelés, aucun goût.

We stopped here for lunch. The staff were nice but the food was disappointing. There were not a lot of home made options on the menu, mostly frozen food. The Cullen Skink was very oily but at least it was served hot, unlike the rest of our lunch.

Had an evening meal here, ordered scampi and chips, not difficult to prepare however the chips were like oven chips deep fried and they were Luke warm, the whole event was definitely lacklustre, and it is expensive, the scampi was nice though, with a bit more effort this place could be amazing.
