Visited here 2 weeks ago for the first time and we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! Food was outstanding. When we walked in we were greeted by a very pleasant man called Keith. We didn't book but he gave us a nice table for 4 of us downstairs. He then took our drinks which arrived quickly. Keith bought the drinks down and we had a little laugh with him whilst he was doing so. Nice you can have a laugh with the staff. We were seen to for our food order by a lovely girl called Gemma who talked us through the menu questions that we had and the specials and was very informative, smiley and friendly. We also had a chat and laughs with her too. The staff totally made us feel welcome and happy. My wife is gluten free so we were happy and suprised when we were offered to see the gluten free menu as we thought we may struggle. Alot of choices for her. I had prawn cocktail to start and then the tomohawk steak which was superb. Home made chips too which were outstanding. I like my steaks rare and rare is what I got!!! Only thing I may ask for my steak to come on a plate next time as it does carry on cooking on a sizzler but that's not a complaint it's my preference. Not one of us could fault the meals. Desserts were to die for and again Gemma talked us through what they had and even told us about items not on the menu but that would be available. Chocolate fudge cake sundae is a must!!! We will definitely be coming back to try more of the food and will be recommending this find to alot of others. Thanks to Keith and Gemma who looked after the 4 of us. Keep up the good work all. Hands down best steak I've had.

Let me start by saying we had lovely food, couldnt fault it. The younger members of staff were really lovely. Front of house staff would learn a few things from them. The restaurant itself is also very lovely. Its just a shame our wedding annerversary meal was spoilt by a staff member called Keith. He was extremely rude and it was obvious he did not want to be there. He yawned in my face and his whole attitude was disgusting to the point I wanted to cry. My husband and I are in our late 70s and we have never been so disrespected in all our lives. Such a shame as everything eles was spot on.

If you ever want to book for a large party of about 20 or more don't bother because they are more concerned about keeping places for their regulars on Friday and Saturday !! Shocking !! Same goes for their sister restaurant "the bryngwyn " in pwll

Thought we would give this place a try after hearing so many good things. Staff were very pleasant but very disappointed with the food! Ordered nachos to start which were nowhere near worth £6.95 (tortilla chips with what tasted like bisto cheese sauce granules, with sour cream out of a jar! Ordered the fisherman's platter which was ok but i wouldn't say the food came piping hot and a pretty small portion for the price. Got home felt very ill and ended up being up all night with sickness and diarrhoea
