Sea Breeze Restaurant in East Lindsey

What can I say, for 14 years we have regularly visited Sutton on Sea and each time have never had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant, well our time came on Monday 26/07/2021 on a quick trip out as a couple on our own with the children on holiday with Grandparents and how happy were we to see the restaurant open, we quickly popped our head in the door and was welcomed straight away, table for two was available and held it while we moved our car to longer parking. We were not disappointed, service was great, friendly and very attentive, food selection was very good and a nice choice of dishes, we chose the haddock as the reputation of the fish served here was one we wanted to try, we were not let down, fish was perfect, chips home made and a tartar sauce that was so tasty. So thank you all at the Sea Breeze it was a great all round dining experience, we will be back as soon as possible as our younger daughter wants to try your steak and ale pie.

Visited with my Mum, Nan and Son and the food was amazing. Everything was fresh and made on site. The level of service was excellent 10/10. The staff from table service to head cook where lovely and very helpful would definitely recommend.

very clean and decorated nicely,the staff are polite and efficient,the food was piping hot and served promptly,we had 3 different meals and none dissapointed they were large portions and very tasty,we have been here 4 times now and never had a bad meal it is just unfortunate that because the main meals are so filling that we have never got to the dessert stage,maybe next time we will just have a starter and dessert.

Wendy and staff are as always very welcoming. The standards here are very high and you feel safe visiting. The food was wonderful, my turkey roast dinner plentiful. I love the after eight cheesecake it even surpasses the meringues. Can't wait to visit again. It's the best thing about living in Sutton.

Staff were warm and welcoming and the restaurant was clean with nice decor. We had the fish and chips and the scampi and although my wife is not a big fan of fish and chips, she absolutely loved the meal she was served here. 10 out of 10 and would definitely recommend!

Excellent service, from the reply to my message enquiring about a table all the way through to when we left after a lovely meal. Great food too; we had the dressed crab salad and the sea bass with garlic prawns, both cooked to perfection and served beautifully. Covid restrictions had just been lifted when we went but masks were politely requested on the signage, staff were suitably attired and we saw the tables and touch points being regularly and thoroughly cleaned. We couldn't fault the place and can quite see why it's top of the list on TripAdvisor.

We felt so lucky to find this restaurant and get a table without booking. Everything was so clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive, especially the young lad who mainly served us..The food was very tasty, large portions and excellent value and an imaginative and equally tasty side salad.

My partner and I wanted somewhere special to eat on a Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Everything about it spells quality from the decor, the friendly greeting, the service and the delightful food which is hot and beautifully served. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch in a gem of a restaurant. Anyone who is lucky enough to secure a booking will have a wonderful time.

Had an amazing Sunday Roast here when we came to visit our Dad. Beautiful clean restaurant, excellent food and friendly staff. Couldn’t fault anything about this restaurant and would highly recommend a visit here.

Friendly staff. Yes, perhaps a bit more pricey than your usual fish and chips but I thoroughly enjoyed my sea bass with garlic prawns and the Baileys cheesecake was gorgeous. Definitely worth the treat.

A lovely restaurant, attentive and friendly staff with delicious food. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiter who we later learned was the chefs son, definitely a family affair as dad was helping out in the kitchen too due to staff shortages. It’s a shame that there are no evening services as it has a really nice atmosphere. Visited with husband & daughter for lunch, will definitely be returning with friends and family.

It was our first time my hubby and I dined at Sea Breeze today , Its a lovely clean looking restaurant . The lovely young man ( owner son) was friendly as well as the other staff. We throughly enjoyed our lunch apparently cooked by his mum . Social distancing guidelines in place so we're felt comfortable . Thank you and will be back .

Always a struggle to find anywhere in this area that isn’t just fish n chips or a coffee bar. Booked here for Sunday lunch - and pleased to see good covid protocol and to receive a warm welcome. Ordered two roasts. Tasty and well presented but what’s with the frozen Yorkshire puddings? And not particularly nice ones at that. If only they’d make their own, and it’s not that difficult, they’d score 5 stars. Staff pleasant and attentive too.

I visited The Sea Breeze Restaurant today with my 2 children for Father's Day as a surprise treat from my wife. I have dined here many a time before so as always I was very much looking forward to my meal. My son & I had the cod, chips & mushy peas & my daughter had the steak pie. For dessert we had the homemade Bailey's cheesecake & homemade chocolate brownie. Everything was absolutely delicious! I can honestly say hand on heart the food here is outstanding & an excellent portion size all round! The service we received was super polite & professional. I would like to thank Wendy & Damian who work tirelessly (behind the scenes) for always delivering such beautiful meals. Also a huge thank you to Declan, Clarice & Alyssa for looking after us today with amazing A1 table service & last but never least! Thank you to my wife Lianne who also works at the Sea Breeze who had treated me to this lovely surprise meal. Watching you all today I could see you all work so hard & it is appreciated fully. I've had the best Father's Day thanks to you all!

Great fish and chips lunch, with very attentive but not intrusive service, in this family-run restaurant. We were initially attracted by its well-kept exterior, and what we found inside lived up to expectations. Thank you, Sea Breeze.

We went for Sunday Lunch after making a booking and was politely welcomed by a member of staff who promptly showed us to our table with reqired distancing from other diners.We had an excellent roast dinner,well presented and a very good portion followed by dessert and drinks.We have already booked to go back again

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious lunch today. I had a crab salad which was very fresh and tasty, and very beautifully presented. I loved the addition of samphire in the salad. My husband opted for haddock and chips it was super fresh fish well cooked homemade chips with a serving of mushy peas. The waiter was a true craftsman flitting from table to table taking time to chat to each table. This family run business comes highly recommended - we wish you a highly successful season you truly deserve it - thank you

We last visited 5 years ago and were impressed then so returned on this holiday. Exceptional Covid procedures were in place but were not invasive. On arrival the member of staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, showing us to a table in the well spaced dining room. We were served promptly and all staff were friendly but professional. There was a good choice of food, including vegetarian. Our food was hot and delicious. We will return this week and will recommend it to our daughter when her family visit in August.

All served beautifully.Se Breeze has a great atmosphere, really comfortable, whether you're locals or visitors. Visited here as a family with my little one and the grandparents. Had a great walk along the sea front, parking next door and then some incredible food at sea breeze. 3 x haddock n home made chips, mushy peas and home made tartare sauce. Dad had pie n chips. All incredible, then treacle sponge n custard, and a brownie for pudding. Would really recommend, great service, super clean, really friendly team. Will definitely come again, thanks for having us

Absolutely love this restaurant. Wendy and her team/family so friendly and welcoming. Good homecooked food and quick service - always with a smile. Steak and Ale pie is the best we have ever tasted. The restaurant is spotless and COVID safe. Since moving to the area we have visited this little "gem" on 3 separate occasions and each time the food and service have been excellent. Excellent value for money too. Highly recommend the Sea Breeze - but remember to book in advance if you want Sunday lunch - it gets busy lol.

Another wonderful Sunday lunch. We went with our neighbours. I had the crab salad, probably my last of the year. Always fresh and the salad tasty. This left enough room for dessert. I decided to try the chocolate mousse which was rich and decadent, the cherries accompanied this were steeped in alcohol, my kind of fruit and the shortbread biscuit sublime. Hopefully Wendy will stay open long enough for one last Sunday lunch before her winter break. Roll on spring when our favourite restaurant reopens.

Very impressed with their COVID measures - all tables and chairs thoroughly cleaned after each use and all staff wearing masks correctly and not sitting below their nose like in some other places - well done. Food - 1 Roast Pork dinner and 2 Steak and Ale Pies - cooked to perfection and to follow - 1 Baileys Cheesecake, 1 Apple and Plum Pie with Custard and 1 Sticky Toffee Pudding with ice cream all were divine. The staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble - well done Sea Breeze - the food, service and atmosphere were spot on. Would we recommend ? Definitely. Would we go again? Definitely. Thank you.

We had lunch here - a party of 4. The food was superb, dressed crab salad was fresh and tasty and the meat pie came with a huge portion of vegetables. Cod and chips and haddock and chips were excellent too. The star of the meal was the Sherry trifle. It was boozy and delicious- best we’ve EVER had. The service was superb and it was lovely to meat Wendy, the owner-chef. Great value for money. Can’t wait to return.

We were visiting Sutton on Sea for a walk along the sea front & then saw the restaurant.It was busy with only one lady who was doing everything in the restaurant but was great with it all. The food was very nicely presented & tasty.Well set out for Corvid control.

Went in for lunch in Sunday, we didn’t book and luckily they had one table left but would defiantly recommend booking. We both had the roast veg lasagna which was beautiful. We also had dessert: brownie and baileys cheesecake both excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Really can’t fault our lunch in any way. Would highly recommend coming to sea breeze if you local or visiting on holiday we like are.

Had a lovely meal today and an excellent Sunday lunch with gluten free gravy . The veg were perfectly cooked and just right and it was served looking good on the plate. There was a stuffing ball on the plate which I wasn’t sure was gluten free so I left this ( the staff were lovely and helpful but very busy - I should have asked to check but decided to just leave the stuffing / just in case . As a coeliac it is too risky to take a risk when eating out . We have eaten in the restaurant before and I had delicious gluten free fish and chips on that occasion . I was told that gluten free fish is not available on Sunday menu . There was plenty to choose from and the staff provided me with a lovely dessert of strawberries and ice cream as they did not have an option on her dessert menu suitable for me. The pies looked so gorgeous I was quite envious of the other diners . My partner was full after his meal of delicious haddock chips and peas so just shared dessert with me . Really friendly staff and very covid friendly with hand gel on entry and exit and a one way system for going in and out if the restaurant . A very pleasant visit. Would highly recommend to coeliacs and non coeliacs alike .

Went for the Sunday carvery as advertised outside.The menu stated adult carvery 7.99 with free bowl of soup. I was told that the soup wasn't included at the moment so I paid an extra 5.50 for it. There was no carvery visible so I guess it just came out of the kitchen. I was asked which meat I would like. What ever vegetables they had plus yorksire pudding was put on the plate and served to the table with a jug of gravy. I suspect it was all cold when it was put on the plate and microwaved to re-heat.

Visited here last week on our trip to see our daughter and grandchildren down in Mablethorpe. Visited several different restaurants and this by far has to be one of our favourites! PPE worn at all times, felt safe and staff very friendly. Food absolutely delicious! Highly recommend if in the area.

We ate there yesterday and happened upon it by chance (10th Sept '20). Beautiful pure white Haddock, superbly cooked in golden batter. Served with Lemon and Tartar Sauce. Crisp chipped potatoes and peas. Wonderful service. This must be the very best little restaurant on the Lincolnshire coast. We are glad to see that so many people have the same opinion.Impeccable Covid precautions and cleanliness.

Family luncheon, I had the dressed crab which i devoured. My wife had the Grimsby haddock and chips which thankfully she couldn’t finish so I got to eat it and oh wow. Pleasant location, lovely and friendly – highly recommended , oh and covid safe

we walked passed the sea Breeze restaurant Sunday afternoon and looked at people eating an amazing looking roast dinner with fresh veg.The restaurant was full but they got us a table 1/2 hr before closing . One of the specialities on the menu was the home made beef and ale pie i had that and my wife the roast . Both outstanding !! Large portions .The deserts selection was great and home made .Again excellent . Value for money at its best ! This is a family run restaurant and the son Declant took plenty of time to make sure all our needs were catered for .

Booked in for a late Sunday lunch. I had the steak and ale pie, it did not disappoint, it was crammed full of tasty lean beef. It came with chips and peas and a side dish of extra vegetables. The service, quality of food and staff are excellent and I highly recommend visiting here. The desserts are also delicious especially the sherry trifle.

Right in the centre with parking next to it, this is a great little local restaurant, unfortunately not open evenings at the moment but we had lunch instead and were not disappointed, really enjoyed the sea bass everything seemed fresh and home cooked. I was particularly impressed with the excellent customer service that we received it was spot on, something that can often be lacking in restaurants. A great start to our break away.Thank you :)

Called in after walking from mablethorpe to Sutton on sea. Food was delicious. Staff were amazing could not do enough for you. I had roast beef my hubby had roast pork . Lovely food lots of veg on the side . Would recommend to anyone and would definitely go out of my way to go in again . Lovely

We booked in for a late Sunday lunch today and the food was amazing as it always is. My mum described the vegetarian lasagna as the best she has ever had. Cannot recommend this place enough

Called in off the cuff whilst in Sutton, was not disappointed, food was home made and fresh, the pie and man was out of this world, my wife's fish and chips was so fresh and tasty but the crab our son had, well it still had barnacles on as it was so fresh. We highly recommend Sea Breeze, the staff are extremely polite and helpful, would for sure return xxx

A day trip to the seaside, Sutton on Sea to be precise, and luckily we discovered Sea Breeze Restaurant when lunchtime approached. My word, what a super - family run - restaurant this is. We were immediately impressed by the Covid precautions in place, and the general cleanliness. We had already decided to have fish & chips, and this was the best we had enjoyed for many a long year! The cod was lovely & fresh, the batter thin & crispy (fabulous), the chips hand cut, the tartare sauce homemade.. need I go on?! We enjoyed it so much that we opted for the meringue, strawberries & cream.. naughty but (very) nice! We will certainly be returning to Sea Breeze, and we highly recommend it..

Dressed crab salad was very nicely presented; fish was beautifully fresh and cooked perfectly; chips a little anaemic (sorry but not crisp enough hence only 4 stars); homemade lasagne was good and had a great texture. A lovely place with sensible safety procedures. Staff were delightful.

Went for a meal during the lunch time opening hours on Wednesday 26th August with friends, the quality just gets better every time I eat there. The fish was succulent and taste, the chips were home made. This is the best place to eat out on the east coast of Lincolnshire, if you haven’t eaten at Sea Breeze yet treat yourself you will not be disappointed but make sure you book or you just may not get in

Today I have my second visit here and I can highly recommend it .The staff are so friendly and the food amazing. First off I had to ring 15 before my reservation to cancel to 1 no issue at all ,then when I arrived I got such a friendly welcome and shown to my table .The menu is not massive but still enough choice I had cod chips mushy peas amazing .Arrived and was hot and fish beautiful. Then I would of had merangue with strawberries but not got any they are home made and gorgeous. So no pudding nice cup of tea then paid my bill HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ANYBODY IN THE AREA 5☆☆☆☆☆

Great award winning very high quality home cooked food. The desserts are irresistible, the fresh dishes varied and better than almost all others nearby. Very friendly staff and owners, great atmosphere.

What a fabulous meal we had in this beautiful restaurant. So fresh and well put together. Wonderful service from staff that clearly have a passion for what they do. I work in the industry myself and admittedly can be a bit critical, however there is absolutely no faults here. Not one. The restaurants Covid save policy was top notch and adhered to throughout, something we didn't see much of on our mini break unfortunately. The food was sublime. I really hope were back in the area purely to be able to dine here again.

Wonderful lunch, all home cooked in this true gem of a family restaurant. The food was excellent, I had lasagne and my partner had steak and ale pie- both truly delicious! The family who own the restaurant, cook all the food from scratch and then all work as a family to serve the customers were so warm and friendly and it was a real privilege to eat there in such a relaxing environment whilst strict Covid restrictions were adhered to. Would highly recommend a visit and we cannot wait to return again very soon!

Whenever we visit we are always made very welcome. The Staff are always warm and friendly. The food is consistently delicious and well cooked. Good value for money too. The Staff have made certain you feel Safe and Secure in these times where a simple meal out can be stressful.

So accommodating, brilliant with a large group and young children and fabulous fish dishes. Every care taken to provide a safe environment for covid regulations without losing the warmth and attention.

Our first visit to Sea Breeze and the staff were very welcoming and also accommodating for one of us who requires gluten free. The food was excellent quality and good portions too. Two days later though we visited for lunch once more and like previously I ordered Bread and Butter pudding for dessert and I asked for custard again. But this time I was told there was no custard. I was surprised that hot puddings were being offered without custard as a choice. I was disappointed because it doesn’t take long for a chef to make custard so I skipped dessert.

Lunch on Monday 17th Aug. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Food excellent and desserts all home made. Meringues excellent with strawberries and cream. Staff sanitizing hands all the time.

Had Sunday roast beef lunch, squeezed us in without pre booking:) By goodness, first class:) spotless, beautifully cooked veg, seperate gravy, lashings of horseradish sauce, nice roast potatoes

What an amazing find! Friendly welcoming staff and superb proper tasty hearty home-made food. My elderly parents have been somewhat nervous at going out to eat. In these COVID times, the place feels very safe, with sensible measures like the menu on a big board and a one way system to come and go. The place is family run and the son who served us was very friendly.

Had a lovely meal at the Sea Breeze, great service from all staff members, they were lovely and welcoming. The food was superb, clear plates from all, a fair amount of choice, they catered for a 13 year old fussy eater, with no problems at all, and the food is reasonably priced. The setting is very clean and well kept with a nice relaxed atmosphere. They have adhered to government guidelines as regards to social distancing and sanitising etc, which really helps put you at ease. 5/5 would definitely recommend and look forward to going back!

Was new to the area and wasn’t sure where to go for lunch. We came across this place and boy we were not disappointed. Staff were so warm and friendly. Quick service. Very thorough with covid regulations making it a clean and comfortable experience. The food was exquisite. Pie and chips were homemade and so delicious. Great portions sizes. Prices matched the quality. Would definitely go again!

Despite covid the staff here were excellent . We had several small children with us and they served them first and then served the adults . Great choice of the menu and nothing too much trouble . Would recommend booking before you go . Highly recommend q visit . Very good service .

As always a fantastic meal for myself and my family. Wendy and her team made us feel very welcomed and everything was COVID safe and secure. My family and I stopped here for lunch after a morning on the beach. The safety procedures due to covid were brilliant and we all felt very comfortable and safe. We were seated in the window and served by a lovely lady who was very friendly and efficient with taking our drink and food order. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious and my son really enjoyed his chicken bites which were so fresh and proper chicken breast not the usual processed nuggets you often find in many places on the kids menu. Couldn’t fault our experience from start to finish and as an added bonus we managed to take advantage of the current scheme where we received 50% off our bill. The perfect treat before heading home after our weekend away. We would definitely return when returning to the area. Highly recommend!

A spur of the moment decision to visit but a definitely a pleasure. Felt very safe as full Covid safety guidance is in place. A light, bright and airy restaurant with a relatively small but well chosen menu accomodating meat eaters, fish lovers and vegetarians equally. The food is very high quality and was cooked to perfection. The service and staff could not be faulted and nothing was too much trouble. Disability friendly and a relaxing atmosphere. A fantastic lunch here today! All 4 of us had the famous Grimsby haddock and chips. Something of a fish and chips officianado, this was by far the best fish I’ve ever had! Excellent, friendly and efficient service. Felt absolutely safe and secure with every measure adhered to.

Had our first day out post lockdown and went to Sutton on Sea for a walk on the beach and of course fish n chips! We found this lovely little restaurant. The food was delicious, 2 of us had fish n chips and one had lasagne. Felt very safe, hand sanitizer on the door, staff had visors on, one way in and one way out. Took details for track and trace. Just fancied a walk by the sea, arrived around lunchtime and found Sea Breeze next to the car park, fish very fresh covered in delicious batter, partner had steak pie, I have never seen a pie so crammed with meat before.Staff very friendly, place is immaculate and a bonus is the alcohol licence if you fancy a drink.Would definitley recommend.

I first walked past this little restaurant a year or so ago. It looked very busy, but what stood out was a pudding that a lady was eating in the window. Its looked so yummy that I wanted to snatch it from her...We finally got to visit today and had haddock and chips and cod and chips on this occasion. It was delicious. I know it's difficult with the covid-19 restrictions in place, but this restaurant is doing very well with these and we felt very safe.Unfortunately I was so full up after my fish and chips that I could not even contemplate the dessert menu, so didn't get to sample the pudding I so desperately wanted when I walked past that time!

Impeccable food and service at Sea Breeze as usual! They have all of the safety precautions in place whilst still maintaining their usual friendly and inviting environment. After craving the Steak and Ale Pie throughout lockdown, it definitely did not disappoint! The service was fantastic and they could not do enough for you- will definitely be back soon. My first trip to a restaurant after lock down. I knew Wendy would have it sorted. Great system. Wait to be seated and sanitiser station, one way system in place. Menu is on the chalkboards dotted around. Beautiful crab salad, great for a warm day. Husband loved his steak pie and son his fish and chips. Desserts were sublime. Can't fault the service, quality or system. Will definitely be back. So good to see Wendy back open.

A day trip to the coast after lockdown.Our first meal in this restaurant we were not disappointed, the food was excellent and the service.Give it a try you want be disappointed..

We decided to have a day out at the coast, mainly to do some walking and have some fish and chips. We visited Sea Breeze last summer with friends so decided to go there again. We were shown to a table which was well spaced and there was a one-way system in place. We both had the haddock, chips and peas and they were superb. The service was excellent and the restaurant lovely and clean and abiding by the current rules (we felt safe and happy eating here). If we lived closer we would certainly go more often and look forward to visiting the restaurant on our next day out at the coast.

What a wonderful restaurant. Lovely decor! Fantastic staff! And delicious food!! I took my dad and 3 children, they all had fish and chips, I had the dressed crab salad. Every mouthful was a delight. Can’t wait to go back.

me and my wife poped in for the first time its a very nice place the staff are very friendly and helpful,we both had cod fillett chips and mushy peas it was wonderful then we had a pudding i had bread and pudding and my wife had merang cheese cake i think they was homemade it was value for money,when we are back on on hols we will be going back,well worrh a visit

Visited at lunch time. We had haddock & chips which was beautiful: tasty, freshly cooked - just as they should be. The staff were lovely. Restaurant was very clean and service great. We will be back.

Been here before and I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. We all had the fish & chips it was so fresh and delicious. The place itself is spotless and every thing is in place for social distancing.

Visited during a weekend here. Lovely staff, lovely and clean! We opted for haddock and a cod lunch. Freshly cooked and absolutely tasty! Toilets were as clean as could be. Lovely!

Had Sunday lunch, it was the best steak and ale pie you could ever imagine, accompanied by all the trimmings you would expect, mash potatoes, vegetables, roast potatoes, stuffing, etc, nothing is too much trouble and they will adapt to your dietary requirements, it is a must visit place, most highly recommended, many thanks Wendy, we will be back very soon, Sue & Scott

Having been regretfully unable to manage three courses previously at Sea Breeze I did some serious preparation on the day and only ate breakfast! We had an amazing meal, the mackerel parfait and sour dough starter was delicious. The cod steak with mussels and prawns was perfectly cooked and we love the fresh veg, it is never ever overcooked. I had the tiramisu and my partner had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All accompanied by a nice Chilean wine. A perfect evening and we were looked after really well by Sheila and her waitress colleague.

My Steak was lush. And my friend had the Sea Bass which she enjoyed. The place had a lovely feeling I will go again next time I visit Sutton-On-Sea.

We had lunch here for tbe first time, both having the Cobbler, which was delicious. Lovely owner was always attentive.

I am normally so fussy about steak and have thought nothing of sending it back until it’s perfect for me, but this steak was so delicious and melted in my mouth, it was so tender, I highly recommend anyone to try it and enjoy the chilled out atmosphere aswell

came here for a sunday lunch and the staff were amazing atmosphere beautiful and food to die for will be back
