Scott's bistro in Stirling

We dined at Scott’s whilst staying at Tigh Mor. It was absolutely fabulous! The food was delicious and of a very high quality and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was very well presented, we had pate and beetroot salad to start, chicken and the pork belly then lemon posset and chocolate pudding for dessert. I recommend highly. We also visited on another occasion for a few drinks and ended up having the cheese board too which was generous and again delicious. We look forward to returning again…thank you!

We chose Scotts Bistro at Tigh mor for a special occasion family Dinner and I cannot praise it enough. From the Welcome to the Dessert it was a lovely, perfect evening. The Dinner menu had something to suit us all - party of 8 and there were clear plates all round. The Chef and Team are to be congratulated - Priced very affordably, Service was friendly but professional and the general ambience just so comfortable. We are quite a picky bunch normally but we will most certainly be back. Thank You Scotts Bistro!

Delicious and varied menu choices with a welcoming service in a nicely relaxed atmosphere. Everything we tried was tasty and well-prepared with some very tempting desserts (just when you think you can't manage any more!)

Scott's Bistro is an understated, quietly impressive restaurant tucked away to the rear of the Tigh Mor holiday complex overlooking the western corner of Loch Achray, close to the Ben A’an car park. We were staying at Tigh Mor and ate there twice, but it is available to all. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the service is friendly and efficient and the menu is varied, including dishes using many locally sourced ingredients. On both evenings that we dined, all of our starters, mains and sweets were super tasty, filling and perfctly cooked. Consistently an excellent and enjoyable dining experience., Highly recommended. Booking is advised.

Very nice food, nicely prepared but quite expensive in comparison. 2 or 3 course option, what if you only want one? Menu on blackboard is ok but writing small for the type of customer! Bit of a barn layout, could go with some partitions? Lovely staff, helpful great location of course and will go again. Thank you.

Amazing value..set prices for either a 2 or 3 course meal. Good choices for all 3 courses. Warm welcome and great service means nothing not to like . The cooking is superb , inventive choices using locally sourced ingredients. Most importantly the ambience is warm and relaxed so the whole experience is more intense. Reasonably priced wines. Loved it .

My husband and I both had fabulous evening meals with excellent service, including requesting one meal to be a Low FODMAP meal as I have some food intolerances. This was executed with total care - I explained the ingredients my gut doesn’t cope with and given options that would suit me. As the food is prepared whilst we were there this was done to perfection . We are looking forward to our next meal at Scott’s Bistro in a few days time.

Lovely location on Loch Achray in the Holiday Property Bond site.. Had 2 meals over our week stay at Tigh Mor. 1st meal (we all had different options) was very good but 2nd was poor. Disappointed in the Cullen Skink and venison (served in what seemed to be over seasoned soup). Overpriced at £28 for 2 courses. Nice relaxing atmosphere and good friendly service. Small wine list, although reasonably priced. Limited sweet options.

Visited twice as part of a Family trip to the HPB Tigh Mor Trossachs site during Half Term. Firstly a big call out to Prasad and Mark - great hosts, fantastic banter and amazing service. They both took time to genuinely engage with the younger members of our party (aged between 8 and 10) which was hugely appreciated. The food was fantastic - between our group we tried the Fish, Steak, Pork and chicken - all were amazing. The food is very fresh, great flavour and good sides… exactly what you want! The deserts were also popular… particularly the Sticky Toffee Pudding The restaurant is set slightly off the beaten track, but is set in a stunning part of Scotland - overlooked by the amazing Loch Achray and Ben A’an. It is definitely worth the drive

Stayed at HPB Tigh Mor, so Scott's bistro was very convenient. Had dinner there 3 times during our stay. Fixed price menu with choice of 2 or 3 courses.Menu is not extensive, but there are daily specials as well, so did not repeat any dishes during our visits.Very COVID safe.Recommended!

Scott’s Bistro is an absolute gem of a place. Serving delicious food and wine in excellent surroundings. We went twice during our stay and can recommend the lamb shanks and Cajun chicken. Excellent menu using the best Scottish ingredients. Mark and his team have run easily the best restaurant in the area for well over a decade and maintained high standards throughout. The food is good quality and nicely presented and the staff friendly and attentive. Also probably the best view from any restaurant in the trossachs too.

It's been five years since we last visited and we were so pleased to find the same high quality food and excellent service we remembered. With the lockdown there was no wine to be had at dinner which was strange, but we were just pleased to be there for three evenings during our week at Tigh Mor. Fabulous food and the three course menu is excellent value. Had different starters, mains and puds on each day and there were sadly things left untried on the menu! We'll have to come back again and it definitely won't be another five years.

Scott’s Bistro is one of our favourite restaurants In the UK, so we were delighted to discover it open despite new restrictions which coincided with our arrival last night. It feels a safe place to visit, there’s a warm welcome, and the food and service is excellent. There’s a very varied menu, including top-quality local products such as haggis, salmon and venison. Our starters were delicious and we really enjoyed our beautifully cooked and presented lamb shank, roast chicken with haggis, and pan-cooked duck breast main courses. The accompanying sauces were particularly good, e.g., the sage and bramble sauce with the duck. I’m adding pictures of our desserts, which were works of art, and tasted as good as they looked. Scott’s Bistro is a real gastronomic oasis. Let’s not forget that the ban on alcohol sales will make a hole in all restaurants’ profits, so every place that can open needs maximum support to ensure survival. It’s a real case of ‘use it or lose it’ - Scott’s Bistro would be a real loss.

went here as we stayed at tigh mor.well worth booking well in advance.welcome was warm and friendly. the place is a little bit spoiled by covid distancing in terms of atmosphere I think but that is a minor niggle.the food was served promptly and looked excellent. the plates were piping hot which Is so rare these days. each dish made the best of its key ingredient. presentation simple and elegant. cooking superb. was delicious. I really enjoyed the desserts but somehow I found the plate decorations lacking the same level of class as the mains... someone had gone a bit mad with the sauces and fruit so the plate ended up looking quite gloopy and messy after a few bites. minor niggle I know and they were delicious.highly recommended.

Staying at Tigh Mor this week and decided to eat here three times. Staff are lovely and very keen to work safely. The food was wonderful - my husband had the haggis starter twice it was so good. I can recommend the Moroccan vegetable tagine and all the desserts were excellent.

We drove 20 minutes after seeing the reviews on trip advisor and it did not disappoint. So much choice and good portion sizes which we didn't expect for fine dining. Would definitely recommend the lamb shank, superb. Absolutely loved it. Covid measures in place. Beautiful scenery in the mountains too.

This is top of the range Scottish cooking, Packed with local ingredients and backed up by proactive service. The best COVID-19 awareness and attention to detail we encountered in Scotland. Does not get much better than this

All four of us felt very safe as the restaurant team takes customer wellbeing seriously, this made for a really relaxed meal. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were attentive without being overbearing.The Haggis was exceptional as was the locally sourced Venison, the wine is reasonably priced with a good selection.Book early, go local (great local produce), relax, and enjoy. No hesitation in recommending this lovely Bistro.

We have recently returned from Tigh Mor after a short break.We ate dinner at Scott’s Bistro on three nights each night we had a lovely dinner in a very pleasant atmosphere even allowing for the Covid restrictions.We felt safe and could see for ourselves that all recommended measures were in place.All the food is freshly prepared and were possible local produce is used we both enjoyed the trout and the duck dishes.The staff are all very friendly and go the extra mile to accommodate your tastes where possible.

Stunning location with amazing food - had an evening meal during August - food was delicious!!!!!!!I had the Haggis starter which was the best Haggis I’ve ever eaten - lamb shank for main and a chocolate mousse to die for ! we were a party of 5 and not one of us had a bad thing to say about it. Staff were friendly and attentive. I just wish we lived closer to go regularly- I may just need to book next years holiday close by just do that we can go back

We visited on short notice after reading other reviews and most of them being positive. We were not disappointed. Amazing food and very good service too. We couldn't find any fault with the food and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We left feeling we had had very good value for money which we could not say about some other places that cost us more and didn't deliver. We will certainly be back if we are in the area again.

We have stayed at Tigh Mor before and sampled the food at Scott’s. It’s still excellent . Try the Cullen skink as a starter. It’s so good I had it on both occasions we ate here. My wife had the pate , which was fine . The lamb shank was enormous so a bit off putting if you aren’t a big eater. The chicken with haggis was actually rather good. The duck breast is also worth a try. The puddings are ok but not as good as the starters . Give them a miss if you are going to choose two out of three course.

Visited twice this weekend and had fantastic meals on both occasions with courteous service great choice of beers and wines. Quality produce excellently cook with beautiful presentation - credit to the Management on the whole experience. Have to add in the current climate felt very safe with appropriate Covid 19 measures in place.

Came here as part of our stay in the Trossachs. Good varied voice of starters and main courses. Found the food delicious and satisfying which was good seeing as we had climbed Ben A'an that afternoon!

Our first meals post lockdown were at Scott’s at Tigh Mor on our recent stay. We have always enjoyed our food and the friendly, efficient service at Scott’s but as we hadn’t eaten out since the beginning of March we were a little anxious. We needn’t worry. One entrance, one exit, well spaced tables, evidence of good disinfection policy & pro active infection prevention. The food was excellent, as always, as was the service and even better value with the ‘Eat Out’ government scheme. The weather was fantastic with wonderful views. Well done too for introducing a snack & drinks menu from 3pm, with outside seating for enjoying the fantastic views.

We visited Scotland post lockdown staying in Callendar for the first night. We decided to eat at Scott’s bistro based on Tripadvisor reviews and the experience did not disappoint. We have been to the restaurant before a couple of times in the past, but always feel the Guy who runs it is bit off putting, as for waiter a nicer Guy you couldn't meet, as for the food it's nice for what is charged, will we be back ????

My wife and I had the most wonderful meal at Scott’s bistro. The food was sensational, the service superb and the restaurant is situated in the most stunning location close to Ben A’an. My wife has a numerous of allergies including a gluten intolerance but Mark and the rest of the team could not have done more to ensure she enjoyed the most beautiful freshly cooked meal. If you are in the area (we travelled 30mins for this restaurant) do not miss out on a truly wonderful Scottish culinary experience!! Thank you!

Went with a group of family/friends. Food was cooked well and tasted lovely - in fact really lovely!! Bar is lacking it a bit, but okay. Doesn’t seem a “slick” operation but it’s good, warm and friendly.

We really enjoyed our first visit to Scott's, really lovely welcome and our meal was delicious, we thought the choice was great and value for money. Service was excellent, they were able to accommodate a request from my husband for a selection of cheese which was not an option on the menu as he did not want a sweet which was such good customer service.

Had friends visiting so booked a table for 7 of us. Arrived on time and received a lovely reception from the staff. Drinks and food order all taken in good time and food arrived after a reasonable wait. All starters and mains were delicious and everyone in our party was delighted with their choices. The restaurant did begin to fill to capacity by the time it came to order dessert so we decided to leave without ordering dessert as the staff were getting a little stretched,something we had been advised about when they said they could squeeze in the booking. All in all an excellent night with good food and great service. Would definately recommend booking in advance.

We always eat at Scot's whenever we visit the HPB property Tigh Mor in the Trossachs; it's always a pleasure, always marvellous food, service and atmosphere. It's tucked away behind Tigh Mor and so just a short walk from our apartment.

We the holiday bond every 2 years and eat at Scott’s it has a warm and friendly atmosphere and a warm welcome. The menu offers a large choice lots of local food freshly cooked with a great deal of skill.

First visit to Tigh Mor, the reviews I had read about the Bistro promised very good food. Although some of the food ordered by my friends was of a good standard, mine was a dreadful disappointment. I ordered salmon. If there is one thing you should be able to rely on in Scotland, it should be well cooked salmon. The salmon I was served was unacceptably overcooked. I pointed this out to the waiter, and I was offered a replacement. I declined the replacement partly because my friends were already eating and I did not want them to feel uncomfortable, and because in my opinion a chef that served fish that badly cooked, either did not care or could not cook fish. I cancelled a reservation I had made for the following weekend, and we ate elsewhere after this.
