Scoop in Kensington and Chelsea

I have been coming here for years, but must admit that due to the proximity to museums as well as the area, ice cream are pricey. nice two benches outside - good for summer.

Le pedí que pusiera un poco de cereza del helado, y él me dijo que no podía hacer eso porque entonces el helado no sería bonito para los otros clientes. Luego procedió a discutir conmigo al respecto cuando mencioné que el helado no tenía cerezas. Cuando mencioné que esto es grosero y voy a escribir una mala crítica. Dijo "por favor, hazlo" en un tono muy antagónico. Es casi como si disfrutara actuando como un imbécil para los clientes. La última vez que entré (hace 2 semanas), el empleado que servía un helado era un adolescente y tenía chupetones en todo el cuello. Sólo un lugar de helado realmente poco profesional.Honestamente, para 5, podría obtener mucho mejor helado en muchos lugares de Londres. Evita este lugar y los idiotas que trabajan aquí.

Cliente di questo negozio da tanti anni, poi l’arrivo di una manger (se così possiamo chiamarla) chiaramente senza alcun tipo di esperienza nel settore e ancora più chiaramente senza nessun tipo di amore per il suo lavoro e per le persone che fino a quel momento avevano fatto del loro meglio per mandare avanti (sempre in autogestione!!!!) il posto che lei invece stava per mandare alla rovina! Ovviamente non ha perso tempo a fare piazza pulita anche di tutti i clienti regular che fino a quel momento avevano frequentato quel posto giornalmente con tranquillità e sicuramente rispetto. Nel giro di pochi mesi il posto si trasforma in un posto freddo e senza alcun tipo di accoglienza, la macchina del caffè smette di funzionare e nessuno fa niente per recuperare la situazione! piano, piano la qualità del gelato scende... la quantità delle coppette viene ridotta al minimo e i prezzi salgono! ( sembra una barzelletta ma purtroppo è tutto vero) le vetrine prima belle e colorate smettono di avere vita ... il frigo che prima accoglieva bellissime torte gelato.. andato anche quello! Niente più musica, solo silenzio e una sensazione di tristezza infinita! Nessuno ha più idea di come preparare una crêpes o un waffle... per altro ancora sul menu con prezzi chiaramente alti per la qualità che viene offerta! Nessun tipo di customers services... se chiedi di parlare con un manager nessuno lì dentro Sa cosa dire, perché chiaramente non hanno nessun tipo di punto di riferimento! Ragazzi svogliati, annoiati per lo più stranieri ... che non hanno idea di cosa significhi la parola GELATO! Ma io dico... che cosa tenete aperto a fare? A questo punto chiudete e ci fate più figura! Tanto peggio di così non può andarvi! Non so se qualcuno leggerà mai questo commento, a giudicare da come stanno le cose attualmente.. probabilmente non succederà! Da parte mia lo faccio perché non credo ci siano altre strade per esprimere la mia opinione se non quella di renderla pubblica sperando che qualcuno se ne accorga e faccia qualcosa per recuperare quel posto... e magari per poetarci dentro di nuovo un po di vita. Così davvero ci state facendo una pessima figura .

No es una gran experiencia. El helado era en su mayoría delicioso (aunque el chocolate blanco es muy dulce). Sin embargo, el tipo que estaba detrás del mostrador era poco acogedor y mi café tenía algo flotando en él. Me dijo que era una "parte del grano". Er, no, eso es sólo una taza sucia. Después de intentar decirme que la basura en mi café era una "característica", la hizo de nuevo. Aún así no debería haber llegado a eso. La próxima vez iremos a otro gelato en la estación.

Delicious ice cream and great staff! We had an urge for some ice cream and then Scoop appeared. The ice cream was delicious and the portion size was great! The staff was super friendly and joked around with us. One of my favorite ice cream places in London.

Fancied an ice-cream after pizza at Franco Manca, Scoop looked appealing - clean, good selection of flavours and staff very friendly.The prices are somewhat steep however - with three small ice creams verging on £15, albeit the quality and flavour was great. Just the value proposition - albeit, undoubtedly a mixture of quality ingredients and super-prime real estate prices!

Visitamos durante la ola de calor en Londres. Que habíamos sido hasta el Museo de Historia Natural (alrededor de 5 minutos a pie) y así nos sentimos como algunos helados. Sin duda el mejor precio de las tiendas de helados en la zona (5 libras. 50 para una bañera grande), con una buena selección de helados helados sabores/(recomiendo encarecidamente el Oreo y chocolate) sabores blancos Tienda es pequeña y un poco estrecho, pero si tiene el helado para llevar no es un problema. El helado en sí estaba deliciosa y mi parte era sin duda un amplio, sin embargo, mi novio era sin duda un poco menos que la mía. En general un buen helado que es probablemente mejor si puede llevarlo.

They have a great selection of flavours. We tried salted caramel and the cheesecake. The staff seemed to be bothered by us ordering.

I was in the shop a little over a week ago on a Monday afternoon. Thought their gelato/ice cream looked delicious and so many varieties. I chose the white chocolate, hazelnut and I believe what is called stracciatella, which had little chocolate bits in it; that last one was my favorite. There were just a few people in front of me in line, no one in back. So I place my order for a triple scoop cone which came to a little over 5 pounds cost, and hand the young lady a 20 pound note, but after she hands me back just a 5 pound note, I inform her of the mistake, that I didn't have anything but 20's in my wallet. So she gives me a 10 pound note, and doesn't offer an apology. Then it became more odd, when the other young lady scooping the ice cream asks for my receipt and then doesn't give it back to me, but places on a counter behind the ice cream. I ask her if I can have it back, and she said "No, we need to keep it in order to get the right ice cream", but something seemed odd, so I asked for the receipt back, which she handed back reluctantly, and after looking at it and verifying the cost for the ice cream I gave it back to her. As I sat eating my ice cream, I noticed that other patrons weren't asked for THEIR receipts in order to fill an order. So I believe that these workers perhaps thought they could pull something over on me (being from America and not as familiar with the pound system) and that I wouldn't notice if they shorted me by 10 pounds. Just buyer beware if you're a foreigner & come into this ice cream shop. It could have been a simple mistake with the cashier, however there was no line forming behind me & she wasn't rushed, and then there's that odd bit of them not wanting me to keep my receipt... Mind you, this was the only negative interaction I had on my wonderful vacation in England.

I love the ice cream at Scoop but find the portions way too big so go less than I'd like to. It'd be great if Scoop let you have the option of ordered a child sized cone even if they charged a bit more.

Almost like being back in Italy, great selection available. Mango always great, had raspberry for a change, very nice. Felt a touch pricey.

The gelato itself was quite delicious, but moreso this review is to point out their excellent signage and information, both in terms of ease of ordering in general (sizes, numbers of flavors, etc) but also in terms of allergens and special diets. Both the gelato...

Easter ice cream Bonanza, our granddaughter was just a vanilla girl until she tried the gelatos here, now you can't stop her trying all the flavours, they also do nice churros with Nutella or dark chocolate dip, not for those on a diet but well worth it for a spot of indulgence.

We arrived at just the right time on a Sunday night; the line was long when we left. One can choose from about a dozen flavors of creamy gelato. Cups and a variety of cones are offered, as are a number of toppings. Prices were reasonable. The kids loved it here; my husband and I thought the texture very creamy and nice but the flavor too subtle for our palates.

Stopped here after lunch at a french cafe around the corner. It was a sunny spring day and we had some time to spare before picking up our car from the dealership opposite. We didn't want to go too far as we didn't want to be late so Scoop is in the perfect location as it's right by the station too. I had two flavours in a cone, salted caramel and milk & cherry. There was no extra charge for the cone and no extra charge for eating in. My husband had pistachio and said it was also really good. Recommend this place. Only thing that stopped it from being a 5 star review was the fact there was only one member of staff so it was very quiet and some tables had not been cleared. Also was a little awkward when you first walked in as you had to call her to get served. A very little niggle to be honest, no big deal.

Best real Italian I've cream ever in London Real fruits and real gelato creams made from scratch ...Amazing darkest choccolate cream I've ever tried also in Italy !And the price is really good starting from small 2 scoops £4, regular 3 scoops £4.50, Grande 4 scoops £5, kids 2 scoops £3 and jumbo up to 8 scoops for £8 !Definetly I always go for the 4 scoops ...too many fantastic flavours to enjoy every time Lovely friendly staffI can't wait to come back God bless you ! After a nice steak lunch in the neighbourhood I stopped here at Scoop for dessert. I noticed a bun in the display case and asked about it. Ice cream burger....I tried it. Sweet bun, slit, slightly toasted and two scoops of ice cream in between.I picked a scoop of Stracciatella and one of chocolate. The Stracciatella tasted better in the burger.

Love Scoop ice cream we have been to this branch before but we recently ordered a cake having purchased a groupon voucher. The service was great they were so helpful. They packed it up really well when I came to collect it and it tasted delicious. the ice cream tastes really smooth and there is thin cake base which is quite nice too. they have a large variety of ice cream flavours too. definitely a stop off if you're in the area.

Although it's winter sometimes one just needs some ice cream! We had the coffee, peanut butter, and coconut gelato. Each and every one of of them was really good - flavours were just balanced. Will definitely come back for more.If you're around South Kensington, there are a few other places for gelato too.

I loved scoop, the last time I tried the "jumbo" and I finished it all! (8 scoops!) but I had been there before and I think I tried at least 10 different flavors and I think they are all delicious. The waffles are also yummy and I always eat ice cream in cone and I particularly like Scoop's cone.

We were able to slip in at the last minute to get a cone to takeaway, good choices in flavors, looks like there may be outdoor seating when the weather permits

We really fancied an ice cream having had dinner elsewhere. Although the shop was clean and inviting with the gelato nicely arranged and looking incredible, I was surprised at the lack of flavour. Having just recently visited Sprinkles (another gelato chain) I had high hopes but left a bit disappointed. My banana flavour was more chocolate chunks in vanilla while the oreo ones was a little tastier. The cone was as bland as a fortune cookie. The taste just didn't meet the expectation of the display. A shame.

Small ice cream parlour near to South Kensington underground station. Seating for 10 so really a take away. Small selection of ice creams and sorbet in cups tubs or cones.

If you like ice-cream this is a must-visit spot.It's centrally located, near South Kensington station. The selection is incredible and portions extremely generous.Particularly good is the extra dark chocolate.

Nice little place - quite small not many tables. The churros with Nutella were really good. Ice cream was good but not as good as oddonis round the corner. If it's ice cream you want go there instead

I decided to just pop in one day as I was passing it. It was definitely worth it so I came back the next day. I had the amarena (milk & cherry), pistachio mediterraneo, & bacio (nutty chocolate). I wish I had tried more. So rich and scrumptious!

Scoop is very good. Its a bit pricey, but it is very worth it. I got the hazelnut and vanilla, and I definitely didnt regret it. Staff is nice and friendly, and it is in a great location in south kensington

We just came to London from a two-week trip in Italy, so were still very much wanting more of our gelato fix. Scoop definitely satisfied that longing. Great selection and great flavor. We came three times in a week, trying a different flavor each time. Every time we came away delighted with our selection.

Went to Scoop three out of the four nights we were in London. It was convenient to our hotel as well as served the best gelato I've had. Loved the coffee flavor and the Stratchelli.(sp) The people that worked there are very friendly and eager to have you try the flavors. Save room for dessert.

I studied abroad in London, living 2 minutes away from Scoop, and developed a legitimate addiction. No joke. Gelato is good although a little pricey and the staff is great. However, the best part of Scoop are the crepes. The absolute best crepes I've ever had in my life (better than the ones I've had in France). They have a bunch of options for the batter but my favorite was the original filled with Nutella and strawberries with a scoop of hazelnut gelato on top! The crepe - gelato combo was also a good value!

Very good gelato. It's rather simple and not much more needs to be said...but there is a minimum character requirement. So I've now met that.

With just a few minutes walk from South Ken station, the several museums in the area, and conveniently enough, my flat, Scoop is a go to gelato spot! They have a wonderful assortment of flavorful gelatos. I have never been disappointed. Will be coming back

The gelato is amazing, the best I've had outside of Italy. The salted caramel is my favorite. The customer service has always been amazing and I love the atmosphere there. It's one of London's hidden gems for sure!

Here you can taste the authentic Italian gelato in London. Cookies and cream, pistachio and yogurt are the best flavor. You have to try them!

There are at least 3 gelato places close to the South Kensington tube stop and this is the best. Great flavors and plenty to choose from. Nice place. Go here and enjoy!

A good selection to choose from. You get choice of cone and tub. Wasn't too impressed with the Vanilla flavoured ice cream. But some of the other flavours were OK. Overall not bad.

I have been there with two of my friends and had as our dinner before watching the performance in Chelsea Theatre. I was told that this store serves very good ice-cream and it was yummy as my expectation. Like most Gelato store, they offer many interesting flavour. As three of us order two flavours each person and we shared to each other, so we have had six flavours on that day. I have order strawberry cheesecake and syrup, both of them are brilliant!! My most impressive one was the dark chocolate and the colour looks black as ink. It was not too sweet and the flavour of cocoa was very strong!! Just expect the service could be more considerate and they can actively offer tap water to the customers who have ice-cream inside their store as we really need to refresh our sensitivity of tough when having such a huge Gelato.

I love a good quality gelato and Scoop has got it! Even on a chilly November night, their gelato hits the spot. Rich, creamy, flavorful, perfect.

Being in London, this is a really good quality icecream. Of course the price is Londoner as well, very high compared to Italian best icecrea!

Treated ourselves to Scoop a couple of times. They have a great selection of gelato flavors, and happily provide samples. Would have a difficult time recommending as all 4 flavors I had were fabulous. Enjoy!

Good variety of gelato, Good location to the train station. Liked the ability to get two different flavors for a small size.

Good gelato. Some great flavours (eg cheesecake). Not sure it is any better than some of the others in the area but definitely solid.

If anyone knows of better gelato please let us know...we prefer scoop to gelupo...we have some ice cream places near home in east dulwich...but scoop is still first for us...

Les serveuses sont italiennes et non anglaises !!La gelataria est petite et peu de personnes peuvent restées assises à l'intérieur.Les glaces sont à savourer face au stand de LAMBORGHINI (faites vos courses !!) qui exposent 4 voitures.

We tried the gelato here one evening on our trip to london. I had the dark chocolate and biscotti (the dark chocolate is seriously dark. It is very bitter and supremely chocolatey and might not meet everyone's idea of chocolate. It is the darkest chocolate gelato I have ever had and if you think you would like this intense flavour, I'd say go for it!) The two flavours were recommended by the server and they complimented each other nicely.

I came with my family to get a good ice cream but I found an avarege one but expensive. The only excellent thing was Alessandra, Clever to serve and she help us to solve a problem that had been created.

We came with a family of 2 adults and 2 children. We had two portions of children's Icecream an adults Icecream and a crepe with Icecream which came to approx £17. What I would say is the portions were huge and the Icecream was delicious!! It was a lovely treat at the end of a day in London.

The service was good the staff where nice and helpful. The prices are a little over priced but that is to be expected considering the location of the store. The ice cream was good. The four scoops cone is sickly and overwhelmingly hard to eat. The coconut ice cream was my favourite and i would highly recommend it.

It was kind of OK given the flavor choice. The kids chose a flavor each, yet could not finish it- too big! As paying dad i would recommend to have smaller portions and pay less. Your p&l would be similar or better).

We found the gelato flavours to be weak and almost non-existent, except for the dark chocolate which, surprisingly, was over powering to the point of unpleasantness.

i dont reccomend this place at all. gelato is too expensive and portion tiny but most of all quality is poor! the gelato does not taste fresh and is flavourless. small size is 4 pounds which I d be happy to pay for a good fresh icecream.who rated it eccelent really should try proper italian gelato (i love oddono in london..limited choice but fresh and so tasty)there is a great variety but it all taste quite plain.the only positive note they let me in with my dog which I always appreciate.

What a cozy place and yummy ice cream! Indeed is a small place however the staff is friendly and thumbs up for customer service to August!

Very good ice cream- was crowded when we went, for good reason. One of the better ice cream shops we went to while in London

Quality Gelato in London in June without the warming Italian sun; Great! We all had their minimum offering: two flavors for 4 pounds. Portions generous, flavor selection large. Better than the other two gelato sources we found in the So Kensington area.

There is a wide choice of flavours, the place has good location and some tables to hang around while eating. On the other hand, quality might be improved, and the price for a 2 flavours cup is in my opinion a little bit too expensive, even for London.

Good ice cream and fun way to,end an evening . Good choice of expensive ice cream some cool additional things , waffles etc .on the subject of ice cream I consider myself an expert , good but not the best I have tired .I wouldn't say don't go ,but don't go out of your way.I am loving snog at the minute but most of all keep searching ,it's fun

Rather than having a desert in the Thai Restaurant we chose to visit this place that we had seen earlier, serving italian ice creams and some i had not previously tried before, although there could be a larger choice, service was good and the place was popular and relatively cheap.

Scoop is a gelateria, of a type. If you have been to Italy, what Scoop serves would not pass. On the other hand, it's perfectly good ice cream, presented in the wide variety and display akin to what you would expect in Rome or Florence. My suggestion would be to have a steak at Billy's down the block, then edge over to Scoop for a nice ice cream cone and cosy walk around South Kensington.
