High quality Italian restaurant, high prices but really worth it. Very welcoming environment and super friendly and helpful staff. They accept AmericanExpress which is not a given in restaurants even though we are in London. They marked an extra bottle of water but that's okay 😂 In the UK 🇬🇧 you pay 12%-15% service unlike other countries. Next trip to London we will be back.

One of the best Italian restaurants in London. We had a great time the food was delicious and the service was spot on. Faruk was really charming and he welcomed us, even without booking on a busy day. We will definitely be back !!!

Our dinner was phenomenal! It was a delightful experience, from the homemade bread basket to the beef tartare burrata and anchovies appetizer to start, followed by the Scottish lobster tagliolini with amalfi lemon chilli basil. All of this before the main course. We shared some dishes to expand the range of what we tried. The Amaretto Tiramisu is quite simply the best tiramisu I've ever tasted - Wow! The restaurant is beautifully designed and both quiet and comfortable. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We sought the restaurant out because of Stanley Tucci's Searching for Italy show (S2E4 - London) and it lived up to his high praise!

Sortoria up is in a fine location with fine crockery and cutlery. Sartoria usually requires a booking when you dine with friends and family. We loved Sartorio, it's a top restaurant in Lndon.

Disappointment doesn't even begin to cover our horrible evening. The maitre who took our order was excellent but sadly that is where it ends. Starters were ok not exceptional - minestrone soup and vegetable salad (a few leaves stuck nicely in hummus). Then an incredibly long long long wait where no one cleared the table and when they eventually did we had to ask three times where our food was. Bottom line is my husband was served raw chicken - unacceptable - and to add insult to injury the maitre (different one) had to put on phone light to check what was obviously true and rudely said what do you expect if you have just been here for an hour (we had been there longer). My pasta was watery with very little lobster. We still had to pay £100 for a horrible evening - they only removed the chicken from the bill. We just left the table and paid. The confrontational maitre has no place in the hospitality business. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We visited with high hopes, but the food here is very overrated. I had the cacio e pepe pasta which was served cold and the truffle didn’t have much flavour and had a thick, bark-like texture - quite unpleasant to eat (from someone who loves truffle), so overall the dish was rather flavourless. The wait staff never came over to check how the meal was so there was no opportunity to say this was poor without causing a big fuss when dining with friends. Their pastas were both okay, but not great. The gluten free bread I was served had clearly been reheated from frozen and was so hard in parts that it was inedible. Staff immediately tried to push the most expensive cocktails on us when we arrived, though the sommelier was lovely and provided good suggestions for wine. Overall, it was very expensive and quite poor quality food - there are much better Italian restaurants in this price bracket in London.

Truly, exceptional place. Probably some of the best Italian food outside of Italy. Great food, great vibe, great service.

Another great night at Sartoria last Saturday! The service, the food, the wines, the atmosphere, everything was just perfect! The manager Leonardo and his attentive staff delivered not just a superb authentic Italian dinner but a unique experience!

Ok, like other reviewers, I am also guilty of heading to Sartoria because of Stanley Tucci’s programme. And I can only endorse what he’s already revealed. Everything that we had, from the octopus, leaf salad, lobster linguine and veal Milanese, was exquisite. I never really trust Bond St locations. But Sartoria is well worth the visit. We went there for a celebration. So will have to find more reasons to celebrate.

Lovely date night evening, fantastic service and food, especially the lobster tagliolini and sea bass. Been here a number of times over the years, always consistently high quality. Special call out tonight for Cleon who looked after us with grace and elegance.

Really good food, great service, good coffee and friendly staff. Acoustics in the large meeting room was a bit off and as the tables were way too wide, chatting with the people opposite was a challenge. This off course is no problem in the other part of the restaurant.

Had the most incredible birthday meal at Sartoria! The ambience, welcome and service was impeccable. Each plate of food came burst in with flavour, beautifully plated and served. Good news: this place is open on Mondays when lots of places are shut. It was well staffed on a quiet night. But it’s not cheap, and my main course was really not good at all. For the money I expect something well cooked and interesting. Bad news: it’s not consistent. Not good enough

Pleasant venue and surroundings. Our food was disappointing, grilled octopus overcooked and veal escalope dry and piled up - fortunately the wine we had chosen was delicious.

So something has changed here and it hasn’t hit the web reviews nor the restaurants main website. First off, the front desk and waitering staff were lovely and attentive. As others mention the Buffalo Mozzarella, normally a staple winner, wasn't anything amazing. The Polpo grigliato con fagioli cannellini grilled octopus, cannellini beans, watercress, smoked ricotta, the three small pieces of grilled octopus had some favour. Tagliolini all'astice e limone di Amalfi Scottish lobster tagliolini, Amalfi lemon chilli basil, the lobster is totally overpowered by the chilly. Similar notes for the Spaghetti alla chitarra e Rosso di Mazara fresh spaghetti, mazara prawns and bottarga, the pawns fridge cold and diced, with the pasta the texture of pot noddles. After seeing the restaurant on a Stanley Tucci show I had very high hopes for the food here but sadly I believe things have changed. Stars for atmosphere, staff and negroni.

My husband and I came for an early dinner in January. The restaurant was very quiet and offered a special £45 January menu. We decided to go a la carte and received free bottle of champagne for spending over £100 (another January offer). Service at first was a bit patchy, especially when explaining various offers and menus. Once the food started coming, they looked after us very well. Me had the famous grilled octopus and scallops with nduja for starters, followed by lobster tagliolini for mains. The food was very consistent and relatively light, which we enjoyed. What sets this place apart, is immaculate decor and beautiful picture windows. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would recommend it to other foodies.

Had a wonderful night at Sartoria. We were greeted very kindly and immediately the staff was attentive and welcoming. When looking through the wine list Loris came over and helped us pick between two bottles we were debating. The wine paired wonderfully with our food which was also fantastic. Clarion was our server and he put great care into making sure we enjoyed our meal. What I appreciated the most about Sartoria was the way the team was personal. Nobody was following a script or trying to push an agenda, each staff member was personable and brought their own individuality to the team. I'm always weary of restaurants that are part of a big group, however you would never guess that Sartoria is under the D&D group due to just how personal this experience was. There was no corporate feeling, big compliments to the team behind and currently running Sartoria, we will definitely be back!

Was in the area and saw Sartoria had all time slots available on Opentable (with hindsight a red flag) so walked in for dinner. The woman on the front desk said she couldn’t seat us because they were fully booked. I could see 5+ empty tables in the restaurant, and the bar was more than half empty too. I showed her on my phone that they can’t possibly be fully booked because all times are available on Opentable. She said she would ask a manager, and came back insisting the manager said they couldn’t seat us. It was 7:37pm, I sat at the bar and immediately booked a 7:45 table for 2 online. I should have left out of principle and I can’t work out why they were refusing us (both very formally dressed etc). I went back to the desk with my reservation and they seated us. Drinks took a very long time to arrive (the bottle of champagne we ordered with the main meal arrived before the aperitif drinks). Service by our waiter Clayton was excellent, all other service was lousy. In the end we spent £400 at this restaurant for a very average meal which included an over seasoned tuna tartare with “mums dinner party from the 90s” presentation. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant, and I’m amazed they’re still open. Far better upmarket Italians in the immediate area are: Cecconis, Il Borro, and Cafe Murano. I will never return to Sartoria, having dined here several times in the past this was a very disappointing experience. Everything is very dated and the service was rude and confrontational.

Best way to describe it: soulless. Don’t know if any recent change of ownership, systemic, or just bad luck with the manager in charge for the dinner run on Friday December 8th … just so, so poor I had enjoyed the venue a few times, and booked a table for 5 for some relatives joining us from overseas. We ended with one guest more than planned, but were lucky we had a large round table, where the fit was obviously possible … or were we? From the moment I approached the manager I could see he wasn’t there to help - started with an spatially absurd argument about the additional chair interrupting the “flow” (imagine - round table, 1 chair more … how ????), to then move to the even “better” argument of no 1 chair of any kind available in the full restaurant (restaurant, kitchen, office … nothing …. really ???) … couldn’t have been more unpleasant and unhelpful Anyway, given the bad fast-food service attitude, we were actually happy to take our business elsewhere, and ended having a wonderful dinner at a nearby venue Sorry I cannot rate the food this time (maybe has also changed and not as good) but, in any case, do AVOID if you can … plenty of good restaurants in London, with great service which is adequate to their prices Shame … soulless

My friend and I were looking forward to eating here after having had it recommended several times. My friend and I made a reservation for Sartoria at 9pm on a Friday, which was the only time that fit our schedules. Having arrived on time and looking to be seated at our table, the wonderful server decided to keep us as the bar as opposed to seating us. It was fine initially, but when asked about the table we were told it was ready but better for us to sit at the empty bar the two of us. We didn’t mind initially, until we were told several times that the chef was being “difficult” this evening. We were asked to pick our meal choices at the bar so that we could receive quicker service, but the entire time it was clear we were not wanted at the restaurant. The staff continuities to be “lovely” but several more requests of “would you like anything else? The chef is trying to go home.” Which we said no and happily said they can go home, and we apologized profusely for seemingly inconveniencing the staff and the chef. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was intimate, and our servers were lovely but their persistence in getting us out of the restaurant due to the chef wanting to go home really dampened the entire experience. The food was very good as I said, but combined with the price and getting the sense we were inconveniencing the entire restaurant by having a meal, I cannot say I had a positive experience here. There are better options in London for food, atmosphere, and experience.

Great service, excellent food, lovely atmosphere Went with 5 friends for a “0” birthday celebration. We sat in the bar first with a welcoming drink and then taken through (not rushed like other places ) to the main restaurant. Lovely buzzy but civilised atmosphere, with good spacing between the tables . The food was a delight. Can’t single out any one dish as everything was just delicious. Oh, perhaps I can, the tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffle was superb. No stinting with the truffle either. As a carnivore, I thought it perfect. Vegetables and salads were generously portioned and well cooked. Big thank you to Carla who looked after us with care, attention and a great sense of humour. Thank you! We will certainly be coming back. Truly a memorable evening of a positive and food and wine Lovely to be able to write so enthusiastically.

After hearing Stanley Tucci’s recommendation, we have decided to celebrate our anniversary at Sartoria. Everybody was very attentive and gave us a lovely quiet table We order a few appetizers which were very average and very scarce, specially the octopus For mains we order pasta, mine was a pasta with lobster and my husband’s was pasta with prawns. My pasta (£36) had literally 3 one centimeter square pieces of lobster, kind of chewy and sitting in some kind of chilly oil, so strong that overpowered the whole dish tasting nothing like lobster. My husband’s pasta dish (£36) was absolutely tasteless! Maybe a hint of oil and salt with a paste of cold minced prawns on top After getting home and doing some reading, we learned Chef Francesco Mazzei does not work for them any longer and goodness it shows! Credit must go to the staff who deliver this disappointing poor value experience with charm and efficiency. Sadly charm and efficiency will only get them so far

It remains if not the best, then certainly among the best of the finer Italian restaurants in London, despite the departure of chef patron Francesco Mazzei this year. The new menu remains up to the high standards set and the service and atmosphere are impeccable.

We enjoyed this delicious, hearty Italian fare in the heart of the West End as we took a respite from our shopping trip. We initially reserved a table outside but due to unpredictable weather conditions and the noisy road, we elected to sit inside. We greeted warmly and given delicious Italian bread to nibble on. I would highly recommend the olive bread. We had a selection of starters and mains, all of which we're cooked to perfection. I would recommend the crab and the vegetable lasagne. If you don't drink alcohol, they have a plethora of mocktails to choose from. If you love Italian food and want succulent, seafood-based dishes, you must try Sartoria!

Very lovely setting but food was a massive disappointment, home cooking made by my children is actually better.

I attended the venue as I was celebrating a birthday. The venue was located in a prime location and the decor was very contemporary and overall looked lovely. We were given a bar menu and the ranges on offer were extensive. We were given a set menu and to be honest the offering was limited. They had a two course for £35 and three course for £40. The waitress also shared the Al a carte menu. We proceeded to order the Octopus and the spring lamb fettuccine. This included a glass of rose. Overall the service was good, but the foods quality was average. Bread to the table was lovely with the olive oil dipping sauce very delicious. The octopus had a seafood smell which always raises caution, whilst the lamb fettuccine was very salty. The others in the group agreed and three from the five who ordered did not finish the main course as a result of this. I have head some nice things but I was not blown away. I would not return as the place did not have a wow factor.

As you would expect the food and service were outstanding. The thing I did not expect was just how comfortable and relaxed the atmosphere is. I could quite happily have stayed there all day! Enjoy

Food was disappointing, especially after the hype on Stanley Tucci's show. We made online reservations via their website weeks in advance. Only availability was 5:30pm & 5:45pm. Seemed like they are so popular that they are booked solid. Reluctantly, we decided to have an earlier than usual dinner so we reserved a table for 4 @ 5:45. There were many empty tables at 6pm, 6:30pm, 7pm... So either they block those times online to make it seem like they are in demand, or hold them for walk-ins only. In any case, the 2 men in our group ordered the lasagna with truffle, which was disappointing to say the least. Both pieces had burnt edges, which looked deliberate to add flavor. But the burnt edges just tasted burnt, and added no flavor to the lasagna , except tasting burned. It was one of the most disappointing and flavorless lasagnas we had ever tasted. I ordered the spaghetti with shrimp, and this dish was very flavorful. With regard to dessert, when at an authentic Italian restaurant, I always order the tiramisu, which was also disappointing. The lady finger was over soaked in coffee that tasted too sweet for my taste, but the cream was excellent. I could only eat 2 spoons of it. The waiter, noticing it was not eaten, asked if there was a problem with it, to which I responded that it was too rich for my taste. I'm going to assume that this individual serving was made by someone with a slow hand dipping the lady finger in coffee. Overall, one of the least appetizing Italian restaurants we've eaten at. Bread sticks were delicious though!

The restaurant has been around for very long despite Covid, which can still survive. However, banks or big corporations are cutting budget and customers going in there are not as many as before. Hence they need to squeeze the customers who dare to go in....

Hubby and I had fantastic dinner at Sartoria, delicious octopus with smoked ricotta, unreal lasagne with wild mushrooms and truffles, spring lamb pasta with mint, tartuffo and one of best Negronis I’ve had in a while. What made it an exceptional dinner however was the friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Upon arrival we received a very warm welcome. With the option to be shown straight to our table or have some cocktails at the bar. Deciding to be shown straight through we encountered all the staff members with beaming smiles, and a relaxed atmosphere. It would be easy to assume this place could be stuffy but it's the total opposite. Fine dining meeting true Italian hospitality. The food was of course exquisite, the starters were huge so Id recommended sharing. Zucchini flower was exceptional. Lobster Spaghetti main was delicate, full of flavour and a spectacle to look at. Dessert perfectly light was recommended by the waiter to try the peach tart and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend.

Sartoria is an excellent restaurant on Saville Row (the only one!). Business function and food and wines both great as was the service. The private room had 3 tables and it was very noisy.

At the Taste of London event the head chef splashed greasy pasta sauce directly from the dish all over my trousers. Instead of reacting to it professionally he arrogantly and rudely asked 'what do you want me to do about it, pay for the dry cleaning?'. Well, yes that would have been a decent start but a heartfelt apology would have gone a long way. Left a very poor impression

One of our favourite resturants on the planet. Impeccable service, delicious food, and sedate surroundings. If you have yet to go, book a table ASAP! Just to add, we love to have a drink in the lounge first, highly recommended.

Stunning food & great service, absolutely loved my starter & it was huge (see picture). Spring lamb ragu was delicious, lighter than a normal ragu & therefore seasonally appropriate. Nice ambiance and good food and very friendly management

Nice premium Italian at Savile Row. Got here via a recommendation from a colleague. It's an overall nice experience, starting from the appetisers. For main I tried the risotto which was very good, perfectly made in both taste and consistency. Wine selection was very good too and the negroni is a starter drink I can recommend. Service was excellent, although restaurant was at that time half empty as our dinner was quite late so cannot comment on the rush hours here. Some other local guides did mention it's pricey, but for this part of London it's actually ok.

Just had lunch here after previously dining in the evening. On both occasions the food and service were impeccable without being pretentious and very generous portions. I would recommend this restaurant for authentic Calabrian cuisine.

The food at Sartoria is very good and everything is well-cooked. Service is on the whole professional and efficient, and the atmosphere is lovely. However, the prices are extremely high for the quality. In addition the wine list has a good selection of Italian wines,...

Lunch for 2, staff were friendly and attentive, the food was good. the Risotto alla Zafferano was excellent, we also had the Lobster pasta which was good but lacked a kick...Buratta with pickled vegetables was okay. The food is a bit on the pricey side and i dont understand why you charge coperto like in Italy and then the 15%, it should be only one of them. Overall a positive experience and would recommend trying for special occasions.

Service is impeccable, lovely hosts and staff. The bartender Calvin was very helpful and made me a sakettini which I’ve been dying to try….would highly recommend. Had the Black Angus steak cooked to medium, presentation was beautiful and tasted so good…I like white wine so they recommended a Pinot Grigio which I must say went so well with the dish. Amazing quality of food, drinks and service. Compliments to the chef, bar team and servers. Thank you for the pleasant experience.
