Wonderful food, great atmosphere, attentive staff. Certainly the best curry in Oakham and probably one of the best I have ever had. We have been half a dozen times since moving to the area 2 years and will definitely be back.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Traditional Indian cuisine located in Oakham. The menu offers a wide range of delicious dishes and I highly recommend the chicken makhni. Sarpech is a restaurant we’ve visited on a few occasions and it never disappoints. Adi and the team really look after you too.

Sarpech truly impressed us with its delightful culinary offerings and attentive service. The extensive menu of food and drinks left us spoiled for choice, and the hosts' knowledgeable suggestions on pairing elevated our dining experience. Despite being our first visit, we felt warmly welcomed and already look forward to returning. Highly recommended!

Lovely welcome on our first visit to this restaurant. Vibrant atmosphere. Food was excellent, well presented and authentic tastes. Recommend the meat sharing platter. Spoilt for choice for medium to spicy dishes. Very good service. However only negative was position of table 9. Feels cramped due to proximity of the next table, and difficult to cancel out the noise of the music speaker just above the table. However that was the only negative definitely recommend. Will return just not to table 9.

We stayed at the Rutland Hall hotel and wanted a night out somewhere different. We searched TA and came up with Sarpech. They deliver fabulous service and an extensive Indian menu to suit all tastes. The food was the best we have experienced in a long time and we loved the Friday night vibe in the restaurant. We enjoyed duck to start and monkfish curry to follow with sides of sag aloo and pilau rice with a Rioja red wine. Both of us agreed everything was outstanding so thank you Sarpech - we shall definitely return in future and of course recommend you.

The best! All 4 of us said this is the best Indian restaurant we have been to! From entry to exit perfect care and attention Food was amazing and order taking spot on with spices etc! If you have not been go! We will be going back that’s for sure

We visited with a large group of family and friends. Sarpech kindly organised us a selection of dishes booked in advance of the evening. The food was terrific and there was plenty of it! Our glasses were never empty, the staff were very friendly and we all had a brilliant evening. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will be back,.

I have been to Sarpech twice now (with a large group) and it was excellent both times. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. It was busy on both of my visits which goes to show that Sarpech is popular for a reason. I would highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

As always we thoroughly enjoyed our meal this Tuesday evening. And again I tried something new. Paneer Makhani. It was absolutely lovely. Super texture and taste and I had it accompanied with a lovely subtle lentil daal. Just about perfect and even better with the Baileys cheesecake to finish. Four years after my first visit I always find something new to enjoy. Excellent job team Sarpech!!

We ate here last night .the staff were amazing . My vegetarian Biriani was just to spicy for me . I asked for yogurt to cool it down. Straight away they took it away ,made me a fresh meal with out chilli . Such great service. I certainly recommend this restaurant 🤗

Once again another delicious meal. Trio of chicken to start, very tender and tasty, followed by the fish biryani and a chicken shashilk, both were perfect, thank you. I do think this is the better Indian restaurant in Oakham and we enjoyed a superb meal with very attentive service.

Firstly the staff are really good, both service and appearance wise. Our waitress was really helpful in our choices. The food was excellent and attractively served. The prices were a pleasant surprise and there was a good buzz in the restaurant. We will definately be returning and recommending to our friends.

Lovely evening spent with friends over delicious food

This first floor joint overlooking the High Street was pumping when we arrived on cheap curry Tuesday night. There was a group enjoying drinks in the bar area when we arrived and we were shown into the seperate dining area where the tables were laid with white table cloths. We were soon served papadums with condiments and a cold bottle of Sancerre. Our mains of lamb Rogan Josh and Chicken Shashlik were accompanied by garlic naan bread and rice. The meal was scrumptious. The wait staff were very efficient and professional with the kitchen somehow serving a group of 9, then a group of 6, then a family of 4 then various couples with piping hot food and a minimum of fuss. One tip is make sure you book this place is popular.

Visited for my partner's 30th and had an amazing meal. We went on a Sunday evening so opted for the Thali as love getting to sample lots of dishes. I'm a vegetarian so could pick any of the veggie dishes off the main menu to be the main, I went for the paneer methi makhani and it was so delicious 😍 The staff were great, lovely setting and a fantastic mango lassi. Will definitely be back!

Delicious! Traditional cuisine with a menu full of Indian dishes. We really enjoyed it, very tasty and colourful served by a friendly and professional staff. It’s one of our Oakham’s favourites when attending Global Birdfair.

Absolutely blown away this evening, genuinely not often I get to write a review this good. The staff were polite, welcoming and super attentive. We were so well looked after by them. It's a family run restaurant and it shows for all the right reasons. The food was absolutely amazing I had the tastiest Indian food I've had in years, one of the dishes contained an ingredient I'm not especially fond of but the sauce it was in was amazing. Lovely setting to dine in too. 100% will be returning

My wife and i were here last night we didn’t prebook we turned up just after 5pm food was great and the staff were also fab.

Absolutely amazing food, probably the best Indian I've ever had. Sometimes a lot of dishes,in some establishments, appear to use the same base meaning they can all taste really similar..this was definitely not the case here. The flavours were gorgeous, I had monk fish which was succulent and flavoursome. The place had a lovely atmosphere, busy but relaxed, and I loved people watching up the main high street of Oakham. Staff were helpful and lovely. Would definitely return if we were up this way again!

We went last night to celebrate my partners birthday. The food was delicious and the service incredible. They took really good care of us and surprised as at the end with a complimentary cocktail as a birthday celebration. A lovely atmosphere and great views of Oakham high street . It has a separate area to have a drink and ponder the menu which is lovely. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The choice of drinks is very good and reasonably priced. We went on a Tuesday night with an offer for two eat for £28 which includes poppadom and pickles to start and a main course of your choice from the menu accompanied with rice or nann bread . We had king prawn Goan curry which was delicious absolutely succulent huge prawns . The pilau rice was great as was the garlic and coriander bread . I think it is one of the best Indian meals I have ever eaten. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff . I will certainly revisit.

So far is the number 1 place I have ever eaten Indian food, was so real an authentic food, good service, I love everything about it. Definitely I’ll be back, is a restaurant not to be miss.

What a pleasant experience this was! Considering we were a large group, everything from the service/attention we received, the timing of the food/drinks and the overall quality of the food was brilliant. You can tell the owner prioritises quality over everything. You can also be assured that your group will be well looked after here!

Very disappointed with the Tandoori chicken. It didn't taste of Tandoori, the rice was bland, the salad was a small piece of lettuce with some cut onion. It seemed a small portion overall for £16. Way too expensive

We ordered a take away and I’ve eaten at Indian restaurants across the uk and I must say this was the worst experience I have ever encountered. The sauces were far too watery the naan’s under cooked and doughy the masala sauce I didn’t recognise....

Absolutely incredible Indian cuisine - travelled over 40 minutes for dinner last night after seeing a recommendation left on a review for a local restaurant similar to Sarpech, but this place is cuts above the rest. I think this restaurant is good. We went as a family if four with two teenagers in a Saturday night, and we enjoyed it. Service is formal, friendly and efficient, the decor is clean, crisp and fairly modern, the ambience is upmarket informal. Tasteful jazz music in background which was unobtrusive. Food was nicely presented and home cooked. Salad was fresh and crisp, my Tandoori chicken cooked perfectly.

Honestly one of the best curries I've ever had. Service was fantastic, each dish was explained perfectly and adjusted to our preference. Local ingredients, well cooked succulent meats. Catered well for all dietary requirements of our group. We will definitely visit again.

First visit after promising ourselves we would book after a friend recommended. Service was really good with just the right amount of attention and the food was interesting and well presented and tasted really good. I have knocked a star off as the table we were given was awful - very close to a table of 4 where we could hear their entire conversation and on the other side right next to the stairs to the kitchen. I wouldn’t have minded if the restaurant had been busy but it wasn’t and the better tables which I presumed had been booked sat empty so I can only assume these are kept by in case regular customers drop by. I would return but would not accept a rubbish table again.

Had a Private family function for approx 50 guests. The team at Sarpech went out of their way to make sure the whole event ran smoothly. Food and dining experience was fantastic. Thank you and will see you again soon!

This is a really nice Indian restaurant in Oakham. Service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was very good, however I've scored this element down because the Jalfrezi didn't resemble the dish it should have done. If I can't see peppers, chilli and onion, it's not a Jalfrezi. To the unexperienced, it was a good curry, sadly just not a Jalfrezi. I will be returning to see if this was an isolated oversight because the overall experience was good.

Me and my family love this place so much!! We have been going here since it opened and love that it is always adding new things to its menu. The lamb is always beautifully tender and the new salt and chilli squid starter is outstanding. We have always had the absolute best customer service and they will accommodate your every need. We came to Oakham for a night for our wedding anniversary. Booked into Sarpech for our celebration meal because the reviews were so good. Suffice to say that the food was outstanding, the ambience was wonderful and the service was first class. I've eaten in countless Indian restaurants, including in India itself, and this is one of the very best I've ever experienced. Cannot recommend highly enough.
