First visit to Sapporo this evening and my first visit to a Japanese restaurant. There was a good choice of food on the menu, there is something for everyone. One of the best restaurants in Eastbourne I will certainly be visiting it again.

The food at Sapporo is with out a doubt perfect! The choice on the menu is vast and traditionally japanese. The sushi is truly scrumptious!! The staff are always pleased to see you and are very kind. There are too many favourite dishes to list you'll have to go and try it for yourself! Well priced as well for the quality of food you receive.

I must admit, when my friend said Japanese I immediately thought of cold rice wrapped round fish & wasn't that excited. However I do love fish & as I'd never been to a Japanese restaurant I thought why not.So glad I went! It was absolutely lovely. A wide choice of fish & meat dishes all served with smile. recommend the black cod in particular.................& of course a couple of bottles of sake! Definitely would recommend to anyone no matter what your food preference (Veggie, meat eaters, etc.) & will be returning.

This restaurant was rather quiet for a Saturday evening, luckily for us as we booked last minute. The atmosphere was calm and friendly, as were the staff. For starters we had sushi - eels which were really good and red clam which were incredibly chewy (I examined a piece after chewing for several minutes and it was unmarked) and tasteless. Our mains were a delicious sea bass and mixed seafood noodles. A bit light on the seafood but tasted ok. The kimchi was great - a lively, hot and crunchy accompaniment. I also enjoyed the green tea.

Went for lunch which I've done many times before and it's always been excellent.I noticed the waiting staff were different and that the sushi was being made behind the bar instead of in the kitchen. It was so slow. Given menus but not asked if I'd like a drink.Eventually waitress came back to take drinks order.Ages later came back for order for lunch.Drinks took ages to come.Watching the waitress was like watching paint dry - so slow! Half the time she was just standing around watching the guy behind the bar make sushi. Then a man from the Herald newspaper came in trying to sell advertising. Instead of telling him to come back later they chatted to him for over 10 minutes before eventually asking him to come back as they were busy with lunch orders!! This tells you how badly run this place is now.Eventually got the starters we'd ordered. Not as tasty as before - the tofu was completely tasteless and the dumplings had very little filling, not like before. The miso soup was ok.Eventually - after an extremely long wait, the sushi arrived. It was smaller than before, the rice kept coming apart - trying to use chopsticks to pick it up was almost impossible and as for dipping it into soy sauce, half the rice was left in the soy sauce, really annoying. The fish on the sushi was no where near as good as it used to be, much poorer quality.I wondered what on earth was going on as I am so used to this place being the best quality and today it wasn't.I have just read some of the reviews on here and now I know why this has changed, what a tragedy that the brilliant chef has gone to London, that is a great loss.I will think twice before going here again now.

The old owner/chef has recently relocated to London and the restaurant is under new management. Mr Kim was wonderful and friendly but the new sushi chef is just as competent and the portion sizes, which were previously perfectly adequate, are now more than generous - have a deluxe sushi platter for lunch and you won't be remotely hungry for dinner. The services is not the fastest but then you wouldn't expect it to be when each piece of sushi is cut and prepared especially (and we ordered 4 plates - just as well we arrived after the lunch rush when it was fairly empty). The tori garage fried chicken makes you want to burn down the nearest KFC. Anyway, best of luck to the new owner, we will do our best to support them!

Don't ignore the warning signs. A restaurant. Empty. Saturday night . December. There is a reason for that. Original chef has relocated to London branch. Stick to sushi and you may leave content. Low expectations and ditto the former. When the staff outnumber by 10:1 certain questions should arise BEFORE hunger dictates. Then customer service should kick in, I mean, has no one here even seen Gordon Ramsey?! Vibes nil points. Food half points. Customer friendly minus nil points. We visited with friends on a Friday evening a couple of weeks before Christmas, I expected the place to be busy, it was empty, wonder why? Well, first thing they had no tonic, they hadn't run out, they just don't do tonic, so two of us had water; next the food wasn't particularly good, the sushi was just about ok, however, the mains left something to be desired, the miniscule pieces of cod I was served were full of bones, also we had octopus that was like chewing a welly, gloopy sauce etc etc.... We weren't offered dessert or coffee and we were in the restaurant for less than an hour. For this delightful experience we were charged very nearly £100.00 including a 10% service charge that they obviously decided we would like to pay. Won't be going back.

Our family of four went for a meal out on a Wednesday evening and I didn't ring to book a table first as I thought it would be quiet - we went at 6pm and it was luckily quiet then, only 3 other tables had people sitting at them but from the moment we arrived it quickly had people arriving for the whole time we were there! I was surprised to see it so busy but I think the excellent quality of food here speaks for itself and people are coming in their droves! We had drinks first, I had a diet coke and my husband tried their own beer named "Sapporo" - a bit pricey at £3.50 for a glass. He quite liked it.We decided to chose one starter each and order a few more to share between us all.I had miso soup, which wasn't as tasty as I remembered it before. My son choose an aubergine starter which was out of this world. It was a thick slice which I think had been oven roasted with some flavours added to the top which made this incredibly nice - we all liked this dish best!Hubby had tofu, which again was a little bit different to before but quite nice and my other son had fried chicken - which came as big pieces and was nice.I ordered lots of sushi from the sushi 2 pieces section of the menu so that we had one piece each - so 2 lots of salmon, tuna, octopus and scallop. They came first and were excellent. The scallop tasted quite fishy, a little bit too strong for my liking. We all found the octopus a bit chewy but it had a delicate flavour and we loved the tuna and the salmon was our overall favourite - gorgeous!I also ordered one dish of soft shelled crab - but we got two?! Bit naughty as that was the most expensive dish at £7.50 - it was nice but I wouldn't order it again. We also got some prawn dumplings which we all loved.A funny one on the menu was octopus meatballs - but they tasted great too!For mains my husband had sizzling beef which came to the table sizzling very loudly, he loved this and we all tried it and all thought it excellent. One son had katsu curry which he thought a bit too spicy but he had asked for the spicy one!I had tempura - which I thought was a bit pricey for the price as there were only 2 prawns and the other 6 pieces were vegetables - all very nice but for £9.50 a bit of a high price. The sauce that came with it was nice but very runny. For some reason my husband and I were bought a small bowl of rice each with our mains but we weren't asked if we wanted this or not or maybe given the option of noodles. We were charged £1.50 each for these as well.My other son had deep fried pork with a sauce that came with rice. He said it was very tasty. We decided not to have dessert as there are only 3 ice creams flavours to choose from - there needs to be some other desserts added to the menu. The meal came to £129.80 altogether.

This has always been my favourite restaurant in Eastbourne. I've visited it more times than any restaurant since I've lived here. And within those three years, never had a bad experience with the food whether it be collection or sitting it.Now let's clarify something; collection is different to takeaway. If you have to travel to the place to pick it up (20min walk for me) you expect at least 50% of how it would look or at least the portion size you would get on a plate. Tonight, I spent £36 collection on Dumplings, tempura veg, soft shell crab, 12 rolls of sushi and soft shell crab (not all for me, I was hungry but not that hungry.)£7 for 12 Sushi roll.. Taste was lovely£4.50 for dumplings.. Taste was good So far so good.. Now..£6.90 for Vegetable tempura.. Taste was resembled cold oil with extremely over cooked veg£7.50 for Scallops with asparagus.. Few heads of Asparagus and the scallops were as tough as a Dr Marten boot. Scallops are expensive anyway so other than the taste and texture.. Can't really kick off.Saving the best till last..Soft shell crab. The naivety in me expected a full soft shell crab, no trimmings for the price of £7.50. This was not the case but I could have settled for a big portions of 'bits' of crab. What I got was mostly crumbed batter and batter in the shape of crab. Very little meat and a taste that I wouldn't even bet my friend £30 to eat. Small portion. You know what, I'm more annoyed that I WAS this restaurants biggest fan and as stated prior, have spent a lot of money over the years in this, 90% of the time, empty restaurant.I think I would have got better tasting and looking food at a back street kebab house. Ruined it for me. Cheers.

We soooooo want to like this place, the only sushi restaurant in Eastbourne. My wife and kids have a (minor) sushi addiction and so - following a long hiatus since our last disappointing visit - we went back. This time it was near empty which meant the service was better. Alas the food was just as it was before, possibly worse. The Vegetable tempura is heavily over-battered and overcooked. The chicken katsu curry was shameful - a minuscule piece of chicken overcooked accompanied by a thin gravy-like sauce. On a positive note, the more exotic sushi is pretty good as were the steamed dumplings. But the tuna sashimi required a magnifying glass to find it, despite the £5.50 price tag. When the bill came - £110 for four people - I wanted to cry but instead we just regretfully agreed that we'll never visit this place again.

Went for lunch on a Thursday at 12 noon. There was only one other table occupied with 3 ladies and two children, one in a high chair. We were greeted with a smile and asked if we'd made a booking, I said no as I had rung to try and make a booking but had been told no need to book for lunch as it's usually quiet! We were allowed to choose where we'd like to sit. The restaurant is quite dark inside but you can clearly see your food! The menu given to us had 3 options for lunch. The most expensive was £14.90 each and that was for sushi or sashimi. There was a cheaper option for sushi and the cheapest was £9.90 which included meat/veg and sauce with noodles.Every meal starts with a miso soup and one of a choice of four starters. My son chose the chicken dumplings and I went for the tofu.We had drinks of apple juice and diet coke. I asked for glasses of water with ice but the water that came had no ice!The waiters were very friendly and very helpful. They had a good sense of humour too - we were taking a long time to eat our starters as I've never used chopsticks before and our main course was brought to the table before we'd finished, I said this is my first time eating with chopsticks and the waiter smiled and then returned with a fork for me with a cheeky grin! I found this very funny. The miso soup was really lovely and tasty. My tofu - which I've never tried before was delicious. It had breadcrumbs around the outside of the squares and was sitting in, I think, a very tasty chicken stock with little spring onions finely chopped into the stock. My son's dumplings were also very good.Next we had our sushi and it was superb. It came with a little wasabi and pickled ginger and there was soya sauce in a bottle on the table and little dishes to put the soya sauce in.The fish on the rectangles of rice were tuna, salmon, seabass, prawn and squid. We both really enjoyed every single piece. We were asked if we'd like dessert and I asked what was available and was told 3 different ice creams - green tea, mango and black sesame. I had trouble understanding the last one and poor man had to repeat it 5 times! The ice cream was fantastic, never had anything like it before, really good. The ladies is on the ground floor, same as the gents, and it is very large and I found it immaculately clean. We loved it here and will definitely be returning. Our lunch came to just under £34 altogether.

Service was slow but more important, the food is below par. The portions are so small you got to look twice to make sure it's all there. I have tasted grilled Unagi (eel) in as many as 20 Japanese restaurants and this one is the worst. In teriyaki, there are basically four ingredients : soya sauce, sweet mirin (Japanese rice wine), honey and sesame oil. I think the kitchen forgot to use the mirin because all we tasted is the salt from the soy sauce. We found out the chef is Korean. One wonders why he didn't open a Korean restaurant? Perhaps then the food will be more authentic. Looks like we have to find a better Japanese restaurant elsewhere.

I stumbled on this place whilst looking for somewhere for lunch. The restaurant was very quiet at the time, there being only a handful of other diners. I ordered the Special Seafood Noodle Lunch, which was reasonably priced at £5.90. The presentation of the food could have been better. It looked like it had just been tipped quickly on to the dish. It tasted ok, though. Just before I left, at just before 2.15 p.m., a party of 3 people entered the restaurant but were told it closed at 3 p.m. and last orders were at 2 p.m. So they left disappointed. You would have thought that with the restaurant being so quiet the management would have welcomed them with open arms and not minded staying open for them another quarter of an hour. The waiter might have looked a bit smarter (he wore trainers) and I didn't feel I was that welcome myself A 10% service charge was added to the bill, which I wasn't expecting. I would try the restaurant once more, if in the area, and hope for a better experience.

Me and my partner love Japanese food, so we were really excited to spot this new restaurant. We called up the day before to book a table for us both. We turned up 15 minutes early and was greeted by a very nice lady who kindly showed us to our table which was ready for us. The service was friendly throughout, and the food was delicious. I am vegetarian and my partner is vegan, and we found there still to be a fair bit of choice across the different menus, although not to much choice for veggies for the sushi, but this was a expected, so no complaint there! This was on a Saturday night and the restaurant was half full by the time we had finished. We had several starter dishes to share (miso soup was my fave, and only £1.50!), and a main each, and it came to roughly £15 per head, including service charge. Overall it was superb experience. First, let me say that despite it calling to my soul every time I walked past (I LOVE Japanese food and eat it regularly) I was wary of this place because of a few negative reviews below. Chewy squid? Bad service? Small portions? Loud waiters? I'm not usually one to be swayed by other peoples opinions, so I don't know why I was on this occasion. I'm really glad that I overcame it however. We went for a family meal to celebrate my mums birthday and all without exception thoroughly enjoyed it. I booked by phone on a Sunday evening and the person I spoke to was polite and efficient. I arrived before everyone else so had a chance to scope it out. The décor is modern and pleasant – not too bright. Looking at the menu a full page of appetisers greeted me - a good start. Then a great selection of sushi and sashimi which all looked tempting. A good page of mains that all came with rice (not immediately clear on menu so I asked the waiter). A tight selection of noodle dishes - essentially yakisoba or udon with a choice of meats/fish. There were a few desserts but I don't have much of a sweet tooth so didn't really look. Everyone else arrived and we ordered drinks. There was a good selection of wines but only a few by the glass. I am told that the Pinot Grigio was pretty good. There was a fair selection of Sake but I have to be in the right mood for that. Three Japanese beers (Asahi, Sapporo & Kirin) by the bottle. A range of fruit juices and soft drinks – good to see that the coke ordered was from the can and not a soda gun. I hate that, don't you? The only minor complaint from my younger brother was a lack of spirits with mixers. He's not a fan of beer or wine but the lack of alcohol didn't kill him. We only had to wait a few minutes for these to arrive and when later we asked for some tap water the waiter brought a chilled jug and glasses for everybody. Its a measure of a good restaurant when they do more than they have to for things that make them no money. As starters we ordered a few plates of gyoza fried dumplings, some chicken yakitori and the scallops. The squid may have been chewy for one other reviewer but the scallops were perfectly on point here. Scallops are the easiest seafood to overcook so the chef knew what he was doing. The gyoza were pan fried and a perfect balance of tender and crispy, with a light vinegar dipping sauce which cut through the pork beautifully. My youngest brother ordered the yakitori hot instead of mild (he WAS given the choice). Its worth noting here that when they offer the choice of hot here, they mean hot – not mouth scorching but enough for someone that appreciates chilli. He found it too hot but we were all happy to help out... For mains we had a Tonkatsu, 3 Chicken Katsu and a Chicken Yakisoba. The Tonkatsu was well cooked and the sauce had the chilli flakes unmixed so you could adjust the spice to taste. It was tender yet crispy. The Katsu were all good, although there was a slight scare when they thought that it would come without curry (they brought that out separately a few seconds later). Rice was perfectly sticky. My only complaint was the rice dishes all came with a salad garnish and no pickled vegetables of any kind. I do like a little bit of pickle on the side but its a personal preference and varies from place to place. The Chicken Yakisoba looked delicious and I am told it was. We were all full for the rest of the evening so the portion sizes were spot on. The service was fairly quick and attentive but they didn't hover. The waiter was polite . It's worth noting that it was a Tuesday night so there was only one waiter on. This was sufficient in my opinion and I didn't mind waiting a minute after getting his attention. No one came off as rude. Maybe they have been to other people but bear in mind you are in a Japanese restaurant. Its not an American diner and they won't force cheerfulness! In the end it came to just over £20 a head including service. We all had a starter, main and two drinks. I think that's excellent value for good food, even for Eastbourne.

From the moment we arrived everything went downhill. It was not particularly busy, but the service was appalling. We had to wait ages to order drinks, The food was nothing special. The squid was tough and rubbery, obviously overcooked. The only decent dish was the chicken. The waiter was very rude and abrupt, the only thing delivered on time was the bill. My friend asked for the service charge to be removed and the waiter shouted at her embarrassing her in the restaurant. Very unprofessional. Tips should be a choice not automatically added to the bill.

We decided to eat here before we went off to Japan for two weeks. The food was lovely although not huge portions and the waiter was helpful about what to choose and how much. BUT ... We decided to have ice cream for dessert but we never got to see a menu or order it even though the waiter kept passing our table for around twenty minutes. Such a shame to end the evening on this poor service. We found it to be expensive for the amount of food we ate.

I ate lunch here again today and it is absolutely brilliant. Gyoza, miso soup, sashimi and rolls for less than £12. Plus a lovely bit of jasmine tea. Can't fault it. I eat a lot of sushi and this really is some of the best. Certainly the best outside of London. Will visit again, for sure. This place should be in the top 3 for Eastbourne on food alone.

Enjoyed lonesome lunch of lamb, cost is 1100yen (tax inclusive), volume is quite sufficient both rice and lamb meet, pretty much excellent for food. However, new customer started smoking - no separation of smokers and non-smokers, which is purely disgusting. The restaurant doesn't have specific section whether smoking or non-smoking, so you will be exposed to tobacco smell if you are unlucky. I don't think I go again there, especially for dinner times coz I really hate to be disturbed with unwanted smell. Regret.

Been here twice before and food always good. Service last time was appalling, two courses took over 2 hours without any apology. No customer left happy that night, but that was last time. This time the restaurant was fairly quiet but there was absolutely zero atmosphere and the waiter did not smile once. In fact, when we walked in we were ignored for a good minute despite there being two people who could have seen to us.Once again though, the food was good, I just wish restaurants would wake up to the fact that we have a choice and it's not always just about the food. If you want to work with the public PLEASE smile and be happy. Misery I can get at home!

Husband and I ate here one weekend evening in early February. We had heard reports of poor service which was completely contrary to our experience though the restaurant was not particularly busy. Attentive service and waiter helpful with choices/how much food to order. In terms of the food itself starters and sushi were delicious. Had the Black cod for main course which was lovely but was very expensive (£20 approx) for what equated to two small fillets only (side dishes were extra). We have quite modest appetites and bill with bottle of house wine (£19) was £110 approximately. Not sure we would rush back but it's nice to have something a little different in Eastbourne to choose from.

Picked up the food as a takeaway. Pleased to hear they begin delivering in March 2016. This did offer me the chance to see the restaurant and meet some of the staff. The place looked very nice inside and the staff were lovely.I will certainly be going there for a proper sit down, though I suspect this has the risk of not knowing when to stop ordering and eating. The food, then, was delicious. I am a big fan of Japanese cuisine, although I am not an expert. I have eaten a lot of it. This was some of the best. The sashimi was excellent. The gyoza was very good. The Katsu was lovely. My one criticism is on the amount of sashimi we got. But then I suppose we should just order more next time. I'm glad you opened down here as this good food is hard to come by in East Sussex.

We went excited finding a Japanese restaurant in Eastbourne. Very disappointing ordered Sushi, with other dishes to follow, no they wanted to serve them all at once at the same time, so I explained that was our starter, then we would like etc.. Sushi was great, but as for the rest, it tasted rubbish, overcooked, Yakatori tasted like it was first Iceland, cold, overcooked with a split thin sauce, which should have been thick, Cooked Squid the same like a frozen ready meal with no flavor, aubergine was like a smoothy, rather than something you want to eat, over cooked Steak, they would not replace or even listen, burnt dim sum with a crust with chewy lumps, so we have coffee and brandy to follow, sorry we don't do either. They would not take uneaten food off the bill, so I asked if they would take off the service as was not happy, which left the owner coming over to us in a rage!

Admittedly, a chilly midweek lunch in January can be a challenge for a restaurant and the ambiance wasn't terrible but slightly wanting. The interior itself has been converted from a corner pub and is rather dark, both tables and walls. It was too cold to take our coats off. The menu (lunchtime special) was hard to understand. It had 3 set meals with miso soup to start and a box with more starters but you couldn't have the noodles with any of the three, option 3 being separate and not clearly marked. Now, I am greedy and could probably decipher a menu underwater in the dark so for me to struggle it really had to be unclear. My friend, who has travelled extensively, also found it difficult. What joy then when the food arrived and it was very good. Miso soup, yum. Deep fried tofu, fried dumplings, spicy squid (rather hot), tempura prawns and veg were all good. They do not serve coffee so my friend had green tea, which we should have had all through the meal to warm us up!The service was unhurried and it took of bit of arm waving to catch the waiter's eye to ask for the bill but that's preferable to over attentive service. I would go there again, perhaps in the evening to see how it differs and also to sample the more extensive menu.

We ate here last night - 6 adults. The decor is intimate and relaxed. We all ate a mixture of sushi, sashimi, terriyaki, black cod. All was delicious - SO DELICIOUS!! With the sushi/sashimi - we all decided to be braver than usual (allowing ourselves to be steered away from the usual salmon and tuna) and were all so glad that we did. We had eel (dragon roll), mackerel, salmon, tuna, sea bream, soft shell crab and more. All the food was so fresh and more delicious than I was expecting. We had many courses and all loved every one. The service was very friendly and could not fault in any way. I would highly recommend this place - 2 mins walk from Eastbourne station. So good.

This is an intimate, friendly , relaxed , venue where the staff seem to take immense pleasure and pride in the food they are preparing and serving. The sushi / shashmi chef is out front , preparing all the exquisite fish to order. The quality of the fish is outstanding- they have a delivery from Billingsgate every morning. The dishes, are presented with simple artistry, without feeling over fussy and pretentious . The hot fish and meat dishes were equally appealing. The Seabass I ate was truly sublime .It is also always frequented by the Japanese people of Eastbourne - which must be a good sign. My son who frequents such Japanese restaurants in London, thought it was outstanding.

Staff were friendly and not at all over bearing, service was swift and the restaurant is clean and, despite being full, it was quiet and reserved. We had octopus meatballs, dragon roll sushi, chicken teriyaki, katsu curry, California roll, seafood noodles, seaweed salad and a couple of other dishes. All were superb, lightyears better than conveyor belt sushi. Drinks are reasonably priced and we finished off with black sesame seed ice cream which was like no other flavour I've ever had. This could be a fantastic restaurant. The food is phenomenal and worth visiting for that fact alone and taking a chance on the service, so don't let this review put you off too much. However, overalll we were disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's friendly but missing 3 orders is not really acceptable (especially for only 3 diners). We eventually got one of the starters late after reminding the staff twice, but had to ask for the other 2 items to be removed from the bill as they never showed up. Also the drinks service was slow. None of this on its own is particularly a big deal but here's the real issue - Because the food was so good I'd be tempted to return, but because service is added to the bill automatically, I won't be.... No one likes having to ask for the service to be removed (I offered to pay half), but what really rankled was that it was added automatically even though they knew the service wasn't up to scratch (the waitress admitted they were a lot busier than they expected to be that night). Such a shame, I really want to like this restaurant but the competition in Eastbourne is tough - Excellent food without the service to match doesn't really cut it I'm afraid.

Food ok but service not good at all. Packing everybody in around 8.00 o'clock not good management and phased bookings would be an advantage here. Wine list surprising in that only a few reasonably priced wines on offer (the basic NZ Sauvignon acceptable at less than £20) but a lot of wines at eye watering prices more akin to London (£45 for Sancerre and £85 for Cloudy Bay). This is Eastbourne and a greater variety at reasonable prices required! Only ice cream on offer for dessert and tough if you do not like ice cream. There are varieties of dessert in other Japanese restaurants. The highlight was the Sashimi which is a pleasant alternative if you want to try raw fish without rice. Staff pleasant but could do with good management and ambiance ok (so was lighting). Will return to try other dishes but until then I have to mark as average because of comments above.

With myself and my 8 year old son being sushi lovers and regularly visiting Moshi Moshi in Brighton quite regularly we were very excited about the new opening of a much needed sushi restaurant in Eastbourne! But were majorly disappointed throughout the entire evening. When first arriving it was so dark we were bumping in to the dining chairs, not a good start! Took a long time to get our drinks, when my wine did finally arrive it was very hot and tasted so bad! When I asked to swap the wine it was too much trouble for the waiter and he seemed very annoyed about it! Finally after waiting around to take our orders again it seemed too much trouble for them to bring out a sharing plate of sashimi and sushi for me and my son to share! Never had this problem before in any other sushi establishment. The waitress was foreign who took our order and didnt understand a word I was saying. All in all I was not happy with the appalling service and to top it off we paid £70 and was left starving!!! This might be a great place, but never got to find out.Made a booking for Monday night at 0800pm.Turned up, fairly quiet with one other couple and a small group. The waitress came and gave us menus and asked if we wanted to have drinks. As it was our belated wedding anniversary we asked for a bottle of Prusseco, which duels came and was opened and which we started to drink while looking at the menu.Well it rapidly went down hill from there. We gave our order for starters. The girl went away and came back and proceeded to tell me that the soft crab dish I asked for they didn't have any as they were out of stock and awaiting delivery.I then looked at the menu again and picked another starter and was immediately told that they didn't have that either. We discovered that they actually didn't have much at all. Even Ice Cream which was their only dessert.Well I am afraid we got up and walked out, and actually found a lovely little Italian restaurant with a full menu and really friendly staff. This restaurant should not have opened on a Monday if they cannot supply the menu. Also we should have been told when we sat down what items that were unavailable on the menu, before any orders were placed.A lot of restaurants are closed on Mondays because it's quiet and usually need restocking after a busy weekend. What annoyed me the most was that we were not informed straight away about the lack of menu.
