Order my food from here on the app most times I have a take out, I love the range of food they provide because if my family are all wanting different things I can trust sanghatpur has the widest range to satisfy everyone im with without having to order from a variety of places and its always very good quality food and great prices, all of the delivery people I've had have been very kind and polite so im very happy with everything and definatley recommend this place to all of my friends and family

Been ordering from them for years and I never have an issue maybe once I had item missing but they sorted it out straight away so I can recommend them

We had the mixed Sar Beni and a 16 inch stuff crust pizza. The Sar Beni was really really nice and would get this again hands down and we would recommend you try it as something different that isn't available elsewhere locally. The 16inch stuffed crust pizza was also great and on par with anything available elsewhere in town. We would like to add that the establishment followed requests. They have won a customer that's for sure and my only gripe would be that the costs could be lower in today's cost of living crisis.

I'm from over in the US and heard nothing but great things, and they were right! The chicken pizza wrap is unique and delicious. The "chips" as the locals call them were fresh and delicious. This place definitely deserves to be world famous!

Curries from here are ok but I have to say I'm extremely disappointed with the refreshments I placed a order last night and although the food was ok they sent me Turkish imported cola which was tasteless and flat it literally ruined the whole meal I was under the impression I was purchasing coca cola and although it says orijinal tat which I can only assume means original taste its far from it it honestly doesn't taste like regular cola at all very disappointing

Ordered Egyptian and Special kebabs, really well spiced and marinaded, flavour exceptional. The naan had great texture and it came packaged up well with generous portions. Ordered fish on another occasion and it was very fresh, moist and in a light batter, really fab. Both times have been a little disappointed by the chips as they tasted a little bit dry or stale. First time we hoped it was just because it was late, but the second time the chips were sad again.(see updated review) Delivery guy is ace, we are in a motorhome wild camping and on both occasions we have ordered he has been friendly and gone out of his way to find us. Well worth the money and would definitely keep ordering if in the area. Shame about the chips. Updated review: We returned to the Borders and wanted to eat their food again, it really is so good. We ordered a range of dishes, including the amazing Egyptian kebab and the chips were excellent, matching up to the rest of the meal. Outstanding service as always. Thank you

If I could give 0 stars i would have! Pizza tasted like it was sitting in the shop for hours and staff are horrible shouting at customers.

Very generous and kind establishment serving good fast food.

It looks quite run down when inside and optically doesn’t jump out as being clean/great hygiene. Food was good portion sizes and tasty so can’t complain on that front. Counter staff member was also polite and helpful with a smile. Prices seem fair.

The best take away in Galashiels

This takeaway has its unique garlic chilli chicken pakoras. I got them alongside the best chips, cheese and curry sauce in the toon. And I have to say... It really, really, really, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY FLICKED MY BEAN. In fact, it actually really, really buttered my biscuit. 1000000% would recommend if you want your bean flicked get your bean flicked right here.

I'm new to gala and I come from up near Edinburgh and this is one of the best takeaways I've had down in the borders! Very quick and very lovely and fresh food, and I'm a fussy eater also a tasty dessert, the churros were amazing, Highly recommended takeaway

Best value indian in Galashiels. Set meal for one is a bargain. Family ran business who have simply thrived due to making what seems everything from scratch every time! Try the pizza! Wow!

AVOID FOR TAKEAWAY ORDERS - We had a couple of good delivered takeaways, followed by 2 bad experiences with very long wait times for delivery (well over estimated times given on Just Eat when ordering). With soggy, lukewarm food which meant we haven't ordered in months. Tonight we thought we'd give them another go as the family all fancied different things to eat and it's handy being able to order a mix of things and get it delivered, ordering via Just Eat. Sent the order through at 17.18pm, delivery due at 18.20pm. Just received a phone call at 18.35pm to be told that our food would be over another hour?! I now have a family with 3 children all starving hungry and no dinner. Shocking service and disgusting that they could not call before now to let us know. It was a mistake giving them another chance and one I'm regretting on a Friday night with no dinner.

We ordered online and received a free pizza for placing our first order this way - bonus, and delicious. Definitely recommend their curries, so fresh and tasty, as well as the pizzas. Good value for money and quick service too.

changed mind of prices every single week. thinks that he can take advantage of drunk girls minds but we know he charges different prices every week we go. got. garlic mayo with garlic bread last week but this week tried to charge us with £1.00 for it. It is not fair that he charges and changes his mind of different prices each week! Will not be going back here again unless he gets his acts together.

Absolute diabolical service. The person I spoke to clearly has some customer service training needed. Because I was not happy with my meal I was simply told “if you took food back to tesco it would not be refunded, why should it be here” believe me, as a trusted retailer they do, as should you. And working in a customer service industry I can not believe the level of non existent customer service that belongs in this so called establishment with what can only be described as someone who clearly did know what they were doing and does not listen to their customer in anyway shape or form. I was offered “a discounted meal” for my next order or a new delivery. It was already gone 9pm and believe me, I wouldn’t risk another order, or be bothered to wait for more sub par food to be delivered. Disgusting attempt at food and even more disgusting attempt at customer service. And it’s actually the ridiculous “customer service”( if you can even call it that) that made me write this review(after I had been called “argumentative” of course and other ridiculous accusations all because I wanted a refund) What a joke! Luckily, I used just eat, and got my full money back. However, after my feedback to just eat of the person at the takeaway I spoke to, saying that the meals ordered through just eat are of “similar standard” to the ones ordered directly in the takeaway, just eat find that obscene and could not believe what I had told them, obviously. Never again, and you’d be a fool to even bother.

Have ordered takeaway a few times from here, my flat mate loves the calzones and I really recommend chicken tikka biryani, it’s lovely! I’m also very picky with takeaway chips, not keen on many chippy chips, but I love the chips from here as they are simple but cooked nicely

I have previously had several lovely Indian meals from here. However, a couple of nights ago my colleagues and I had a late monday night delivery from here and every one of us were left bitterly disappointed. Two of my colleagues had pizzas, one a munchy box and one a chip shop meal. The pizzas were disgusting, the most unorthodox looking meat feast I've ever seen (a spicy sauce with chicken and lamb tikka, mushrooms and onions, no pepperoni or ham in sight!) and an unusual, not very cheesy, ugly, tasteless, cardboardy margherita. The munchy box looked less appealing than a dog's breakfast with various bits carelessly and unappetisingly thrown into a box. And finally, my smoked sausage and cheesy chips was woeful. It was a half an overcooked sausage (elsewhere u get a whole one) buried under a scoop of dried out leathery inedible chips with a hint of cheese melted on them. Worst chips I've ever had! If the establishment owner is reading this, you've lost 4 customers with one order. Take a lesson from Tony's Tower or Crolla's and specialise in one, maybe two cuisines. Yes you can cook Indian food well but please stop your pathetic attempts to be a one-stop takeaway that'll suit everyone. Focus on what you're good at. Pizzas and chippy dishes are not your forte! Leave them to others who can do them better. My colleagues and I are all very disappointed and won't be returning.

Our first takeaway from Sanghatpur Gate and we were not disappointed. We opted for the Indian meal deal for 3/4 which was really reasonably priced. We chose 3 very different mains and all were very tasty and unlike some places not swimming in oil. We all enjoyed them. To accompany it we had play rice which was cooked to perfection and Peshwari nan. The nan was huge and very tasty. The only disappointment was the onion bhaji which were just little bits of onion individually in batter deep fried, we are just used to these being larger balls or patties, I think the polystyrene boxes make them go soggy too. It would be nice to be able to order a meal deal that was a bit cheaper without the starters as we really don't need them as the mains are sufficient. We will most definitely order again.

First time customers and we will definitely be ordering again. Food was delivered in good time with friendly service, it was also piping hot and tasty. The chicken kebabs arrive hotter and tastier than Ozkans. Would highly recommend this takeaway to others.

Staying in the area on holiday and on our first night in town we ordered for a family of 12 and ordered from every part of the seriously extensive menu. Everyone and I mean everyone commented on how good it was !! A great start to our holiday !!! My only complaint it is took them bloody ages to choose what they wanted !!

First time I have ordered from this restaurant and I'm very pleased, food is very tasty, I live in Selkirk and it has arrived hot, good prices. Only small issue I have is the onion bahjis are not what I expected they are just battered bits of onion, but overall very good service will be be ordering again in the future :)

Very annoyed with the order I received as when I specifically said for part of my order not to be overcooked like it was the previous time and well it came as no surprise that it was extremely overcooked and inedible so had to be binned. Also to make matters worse there was 2 things from my order I never even received at all! Seriously considering whether I should bother ordering from here again as this isn't the first time it's happened.

The Rogan Josh was nice but wasn't impressed by the rest of the order kids did not like it was frozen fish not fresh

Think this was the BEST kebab I've ever had. Large amounts of doner meat and huge chunks of spicy chicken. Not at all greasy and lots of salad. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his pizza too.

Food arrived quickly. Opened to find that the onion bhajis were chunks of onion fried in a batter which was inedibly soggy, nothing like what we were expecting. The best part of the meal is usually the bhajis but we were totally let down-they sadly went in the bin. The chicken madras curry however, was lovely.

I was highly disappointed with my food. firstly, the delivery was late after time suggested on what i'm assuming was a very quiet mid week night. My food was mediocre at best. I did not enjoy will not be ordering from here again.

Out off all the places in the borders for takeaways, this place is by far the best, food is always perfect, service is great, good delivery times, always polite, cant fault it, highly reccomend this place

Food tasted awful would not recommend

Perfect as ways a little bigger than I expected never had one from here before but was great all the same.

Sanghatpur called me to confirm order was ready to collect 30 minutes before confirmed delivery time. When I picked up the order 15 minutes later, pizza was overcooked and donner meat topping was burnt to a crisp. Not good. Disappointing because sanghatpur pizzas are usually very tasty and service is usually very good.

Ended up with 3 rice, 1 mushroom rice and no nan bread. Food was excellent and delivery ahead of schedule, just the mix up with some of the food.

Delivery time was awesome but they forgot the mayo on the chicken pizza wrap and the bottom of it was burnt.

I have visited this take away for years. In my opinion it gets no where near the credit it deserves. It makes the best pizza in Galashiels by far. Very clean inside, always very friendly and amazing value for money. Ive tried the indian food also and its amazing, always fresh and made from scratch. Cannot fault the place or staff who are a family themselves, but very kind to families who come in!

Ordered the food for 8:15 due to wanting to put child to bed. Came at 7:15 which meant was cold by the time I had to eat it. Normally a great service

Overall my order was ok but there was a few items in the munchy box which were quite overcooked which was disappointing and the naan bread was overdone and was totally inedible and had to be binned. Hopefully if I order again it will be better!

Fast food after a night on the drink

Ordered meal..at .17:45... email confirmation delivering at 18:55... restaurant added 20 mins to delivery time... meal arrived at 18:15!!!!!?..good food..but not good communications...not good service...

This was a very good meal we got here tonight and was cooked to perfection. The only thing that was wrong was the delivery time that was stated was not when they showed up, obviously sometimes it can't be helped but it was around 25 minutes after it stated my order would be delivered.

I've ordered from this place countless times. I think there was a new delivery man he went to the bottom flat and called me. The flat numbers are on the doors so it was a bit annoying when he could have easily came to the door.

Food arrived cold. Ordered a garlic naan but was given a plain one. The plain naan that arrived tasted stale and had to go straight in the bin as it was inedible. The poppadoms were missing from the order completely. The mixed pakora also tasted 'old' and dry. Very disappointed considering I am a repeat customer and the food is normally of a decent standard.

Never been disappointed with any of the food :) pizzas, Indian, wraps..... Always great :) delivery time is brilliant, rarely order from anywhere else :)
