Sandwich Heaven in Stockport

Iv been using sandwich heaven for over 10 years back to when I was in school. Over the years I have noticed a decline. Food used to be fresh and tasty now it’s bland and over priced. I popped in for a club sandwich and a panini for my partner. The club sandwich was disappointing with all the fillings being freezing cold cheap mayo and fatty cold bacon. Panini was average I asked for it be well toasted as last time we went everything was cold in the middle of the sandwich now it’s just burnt. £18 for two sandwich and bag of crisps and drink. Won’t be returning as can see they don’t care about quality only profit. One lady who works there is also extremely rude and everything seems a task. Not welcoming at all and food very average.

Had an amazing buffet today for our Christmas party at always active, having several different buffets during December, it stood out miles and was amazing!

I had a very similar experience to the previous reviewer during the pandemic when the woman behind the counter practically shouted at me as though I was stupid before I’d even stepped into the shop. Foolishly I thought I would give them another chance as I wanted a quick lunch one day. Big mistake. The food is sub par and mediocre and there is one member of staff in particular who is beyond rude. I always like to give a place the benefit of the doubt especially a small business but regretfully this place doesn’t deserve that. Should be called sandwich hell.

A rude and inappropriate place where they don’t appreciate your custom. My first visit to the place and I don’t know what they do. Went in and a lady on the counter said she will be with me in a minute. I approached the menu they had on the wall to read it. Then an older lady came out asking who was first in. I said me and she started to shout frustratedly and in a manner that she was talking to a non-English speaker to make herself understood telling me to stay away from the counter and yet shouted to go on the sign on the floor which was more than 2 metres away from her. Unable to know what they have on the menu to decide what I wanted she wanted to take my order as well. Being a polite person I thought for a split second to still order, but the looks on her face being as discriminatory as it was made me decide to leave and keep my dignity that she insulted. Will never go back although I am working locally and my colleagues are always on the hint to find a good place to eat. This place regardless of their food quality is a no go for me and to be honest I can not imagine what she was going to do with my food if she couldn’t stand my presence there.

So, the sandwiches are great, very rude staff on where to stand during the current pandemic, I am not a child and I know. The sandwiches are good, but the staff are not very helpful in choosing. It is as though you are bothering their personal time. The coffee is absolutely a waste of money, don't go there. Just go for a sandwich and don't spend on anything else.

Great sandwiches but the staff are extremely rude and talk down to you. They don’t allow you time to look at the menu before ordering and make you feel that you are bothering them by entering the shop. I would have given 5 stars if there was better customer service.

as a builder I find myself going in a lot of caffs and I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. I was welcomed by being shouted at to put a mask a by the older lady continuing to chop her peppers and completely blank me. The other older lady constantly rolled her eyes at us after shouting at us to stand in the waiting areas. The butty was OK but we will never return because of the horrible people that work there. Please sack them

Called in for my lunch. The shop offers a variety of freshly made sandwiches together with a number of daily specials, jacket potatoes, cakes etc. I had a toasted ham and Brie panini with onion marmalade, which was very enjoyable.

Came down here with my friends for lunch and it was great. Particularly love the paninis which are great especially in the winter as it warms you nicely.

Have recently arranged an event that they catered & have attended many. The sandwiches are always well filled & so fresh. The pies etc. are really tasty.

I’ve been a couple of times recently. There is a wide variety of freshly made hot and cold sandwiches plus soups and cakes. The lunchtime sandwiches are very good and the breakfasts butties we had today were excellent. My son particularly liked his breakfast panini (bacon, mushroom, cheese and tomato) and not stupidly expensive either.

Stumbled across this little gem of a place whilst working in the area. Lots of mouth watering choice. I opted for the “Greek Wrap”. Absolutely fantastic. Super tasty and loads of filling. Treated myself to a “Luxury Millionaires Shortbread afterwards. Great sized piece with a fantastic crunchy base and soft caramel and chocolate. Washed down with a lovely Americano coffee. Will definitely revisit if in the area again The staff are lovely also!!

Experienced their homemade mushroom soup. Wow absolutely yum yum yum. Everything is great quality, service is excellent and Ian and his staff are to be applauded. Recommend if you havn't yet been.

Never had anything bad to eat here, and really lovely combinations. Had a Lebanese wrap today which was really delicious, and a bang bang panini for my daughter. Absolutely brilliant place.

Amazing sandwiches, lovely staff would definitely recommend. The only downside is you can’t always get through to place an order over the phone on a Fri/Sat.

The best sandwich shop in miles it’s the best! The staff are great you can sit in or take away it’s always busy because it’s brilliant!

Visited just before Christmas at the street fair. Scrumptious hot chocolate and wrap. Way too much for one person but you don't have to share !! Staff really helpful and cheerful. Definitely recommend.

As usual the food was excellent and fresh. Ian and his team provide a lovely selection of sandwiches, meal boxes and cakes. This is done in a clean happy environment . Carry on the great work.

Sell really good sandwiches.as well as your normal ie ham, egg, do roast beef with a Yorkshire pudding, hot ones, nice cakes, also seating inside and out

Brilliant for lunch time food. All the standard sandwiches and much much more. If you want quality - here it is.

We had Ian at Sandwich Heaven cater for our recent party. We know the shop well as local to us and knew it would be good and it was wonderful to hear all the compliments and comments about how fab the food was from our friends. We had curries, a chicken tikka masala and vegetable, both were really delicious and well-made. Ian uses the the butchers next door, who we also know, so great to #golocal. The puds were exquisite all finished off with mint and strawberries and really plentiful. Ian advised on the correct quantities and it all came in good heaters and cake stands and looked the business! Nothing overheated or scorched, it was so easy to leave whilst having drinks outside with our friends. No hassle of shopping, prepping food all day, cooking it and trying to store in a fridge you need to stock with drinks. Made the party! Recommend? 100%

How we’ve not known about this place sooner I don’t know. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the lady behind the counter. The food was delicious & fresh! We’ll definitely be back!

I went a few times whilst I was having some renovation work done on my kitchen. Great selection of tasty sandwiches and good jacket potatoes as well

Best sandwich shop in Cheshire no competition Staff all lovely and polite You have got to try it There is a sandwich called “Kodiak” now this is an absolute beast of a sandwich,,, only thing is you will need a sit down after it!!!!!

If you want to have a cheap, lovely meal you should definitely come here and enjoy a very nice sandwich

The most brilliant little sandwich shop. Fantastic service. Excellent , fresh food. freshly made sandwiches, soups, casseroles etc. A firm favourite 'pop in' with locals and tradesman working in the area. orders can be dropped off or rang in too. Brilliant and well-deservedly popular place.

Love this place! You will definitely find something to suit your taste as there is so much choice. A particular favourite of mine is the minted lamb with yoghurt panini. Delicious! Oh and the Black Pudding.Good , friendly service and a homely environment. Don't forget to have a cake for pud..they are yum!

Sandwich here is really nice. The special of the day is so impressive. Food and service are very friendly. The price is not that cheap but it is reasonable for what you get!

Popped in for a sandwich & saw a board on the counter advertising "16hr pulled pork with BBQ sauce & coleslaw" so ordered it. When the assistant lifted the lid of the pot it was in, the aroma was wonderful! A huge portion was piled onto a barm cake & it was wrapped in foil so when I got home, it was still hot. It was absolutely delicious & my mouth is watering at the thought of it as I write this review some two hours later. As my title says "delicious"!

Popped in for a quick lunch with my husband as it's just down the hill. The ladies are lovely and very patient as deciding is tricky as the menu is massive. I decided on the special of the day which was an amazing wrap with cous-cous, hummus, grilled chicken, salad and tzatziki. We sat outside with a cuppa in the glorious sunshine and I really can say it's one of the best lunches I've ever had... In fact I'm going back today to do it all over again..soooo tasty!

Always popular sandwich shop which is really nice to have on your doorstep. The food is good and service friendly. Not that cheap though!

Really good selection and well made, the only criticism is that depending when you go it can be just too busy. Parking is a nightmare!

Sandwich heaven is my weekend treat. Bacon, sausage, egg, mushroom, black pudding, beans, toast and tea or coffee for £5.20. Quality food and service at either bramhall or hazel grove shop is always excellent. Highly recommended

Very good food. The lady with the short hair is somewhat abrasive and less friendly than the others though. Only thing to let the place down.

Ian has catered for me now on a few occasions. He's made me an amazing 3 course dinner for a dinner party, a fantastic buffet for 30 people for our New Years Eve Party and a delicious buffet for my Mums 70th birthday party. We've had various dishes, including chicken curry, lamb tagine, pulled pork and vegetarian pasta. He supplies everything, including accompaniments such as mango chutney and yoghurt. Everything is thought of to the finest detail. A very talented chef indeed, you will not be disappointed!

Always have yummy sandwiches from here. Their homemade soups are always fantastic. Great choice of fillings.

After reading so many good reviews, I was frankly disappointed. M bap was chewy and the coffee inspiid compared to what I have tried elsewhere in Bramhall e.g Costa. Won't be going back.

It might be a simple sandwich, but it is always delivered with great service and is always enjoyable and tasty. Breakfast barms or something tasty for lunch, you always know you will enjoy what you are given! Will just keep visiting!

So much to choose from and all so gorgeous. A real treat for lunch. Cakes are fantastic. Staff are friendly and really helpful. Don't miss this treat.

I visited sandwich heaven midweek for a simple bacon barm and sausage barm after reading the reviews i expected much more quality than i recieved the staff delivered brilliant customer service but unfortunately the bacon was dry like it had been warmed up and the sausage was very chewy probably due to a high meat content slightly undercooked resulting in a rubbery consistency. The sandwich did not live up to the fantastic reviews and inflated prices.

Having been to Sandwich Heaven numerous times for a take away we thought we would ask them to cater for a christening. Once again we received excellent service, gorgeous food at a very reasonable price. The food was also delivered, which was great when we had lots to do. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. I would definitely recommend them.

Went into sandwich heaven today. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely and friendly. All very smiley staff, cheered me up for the day. Would defiantly recommend.

We visit sandwich heaven at least 10 times a week absolutely amazing sandwiches and brilliant staff and they couldn't do enough to help.

Had a hair in my food my husband went back to return the staff were very very rude. Would never eat here again.

Recently visited sandwich Heaven on a business trip was very impressed with the choice the excellent service and the quality will definitely visit again loved the homemade soup and the Hot roast I had delicious

I had a coffee here with friends after a jog around Bramhall Park. It was lovely, with welcoming, friendly staff, and we could relax outdoors in the sunshine as they helpfully pushed a couple of tables together for us. I am sorry that we couldn't stay for lunch, as there was a beef roast cooking, and the aroma was pulling people in off the street. The notices in the window showed that this place is an asset to the local community, with involvement in charity events etc.

I had a piri piri chicken bap. Absolutely brilliant. Lots of filling and very tasty. The prices were fair too. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are really friendly.

Popped in on our way to getting our train back to London and got two sandwiches and a piece of cake for the journey. The place was spotless and I loved the decor. The rolls were so fresh and loads of choice for the fillings - very generous on the fillings and both tasted gorgeous! As for the carrot cake - it was heavenly! If only we lived closer, we would be regulars! Next time we visit the area, we will be back!

I went to sandwich heaven today. I'm a very fussy eater however the extensive choices on the menu made it hard to pick a sandwich! They all looked so lovely and they use fresh ingredients. I ended up having the tucan panini with chicken pesto, sundried tomatoes and rocket. It was delicious! I asked the lovely staff member about there cakes as they looked lovely! He then brought a complimentary curly wurly cake out for us all to try! Such a lovely place!

The freshest ingredients and the most creative sandwiches are to die for. If you don't believe that heaven exists. Go to sandwich heaven and your beliefs will change. The owner is soooo committed to his business as you see in his passion for excellent customer service. His staff are well trained and very accommodating.

I love sandwich heaven! Go regularly but the lady with the gelled dark hair ruins my visits! She looks so miserable, and it's like everything that is asked for is hard work. A chap in there today asked for a salad box (which is on the menu!) and it was like he had asked for something outrageous! Then when he asked for salt and pepper on it she huffed and puffed about it. Cheer up! The lady who served me was really nice (blonde curly hair) and sandwich was lovely!

I visit Sandwich Heaven a lot. The sandwiches are freshly made in store with fresh ingredients , the cakes are to die for. The weekend breakfast is worth getting up early for-eggs benedict my favourite. The staff are great, friendly yet professional. Ian the owner is lovely,nothing is too much. I recommend it to everybody I can. Also the buffets for parties are brilliant great value for money and great presentation also.

I have been to Sandwich heaven a few times now and had a great experience every time. The service is great, it's clean and reasonably priced. I would recommend the shop to everyone.The Meatball and Mozzarella Panini is a must! This sandwich quite simply makes me happy.

Being a vegetarian I sometimes find it difficult to find an interesting sandwich, however at sandwich heaven they always surprise me with something delicious. Today I had humous, feta, olives and rocket. It was lovely! The staff are so cheerful, polite and cater for all my needs.Thanks!

Called in with my sisters for a quick lunch after a recommendation. It's a very busy little place but got served quickly by the fantastic staff. The menu left me spoilt for choice, would definitely recommend as there is something for everyone.

What a hidden Gem this is....We called in today for Breakfast and had one of the nicest breakfast wraps I've ever had it really was delicious, we were so impressed with the service and the friendly staff we decided to call back at Lunch Time and try one of the Hot Roast Sandwiches and boy we weren't disappointed, the beef was cooked to perfection and served on what can only be described as a "Hoagie" where we come from its called a baguette but hey who's complaining it was delicious,, will definitely be returning as it was well worth it well done Sandwich Heaven two very happy customers.

I called in today and had a hot Turkey roast barm with gravy and stuffing. At £3.60 there was more than enough for a lunchtime meal although to be fair I was tempted by the fantastic selection of fresh cakes on show.Its a busy little shop with parking at the front and the staff make it a pleasant experience, they are polite and friendly.I would recommend it to anybody to give it a go.

Bad attitude from the manager because she couldn't be bothered to make what I asked for which was actually a pretty simple sandwhich. In result to this my sandwhich wasn't what I ordered. From now on I will be taking my custom elsewhere. Apology would be accepted gracefully

On Saturday I had a French Panini, but I really wanted a hot beef but they don't do them on a weekend .You must try then out. You can view there menu online. They have a very large choice.They also do jacket potatoes and home made cakes .

I use sandwich heaven in Bramhall and Hazel Grove quite regularly. Always great service be it a quick sandwich, breakfast take out for the office, breakfast sit in after parkrun or just a general chill out on my own with a magazine and the wifi. Gorgeous food and reasonably priced, excellent service from Ian and his friendly staff.

Called in for the first time , no sure what all the hype is about , in fairness asked for a simple turkey sandwich ,with no trimmings !, on a diet . I ended up with two prices of supermarket whole meal bread with processed turkey slapped on ,,,, that was £2:30 . No granary roll offered , or descent wheat ,,, oh well

Every time I've been to Sandwich Heaven I've always had a lovely warm welcome. It's so pleasing to be greeted with smiles and friendly faces. The menu choice is fabulous, and the staff present the sandwiches so beautifully. There's always an amazing selection of homemade cakes made by the owner himself. I love Sandwich Heaven x

This little gem is hidden away and was hard to find, but the rewards of perseverance are often great. So much so, that I actually go out of my way to eat here. So far I have only experienced toasties and paninis, but they have all been beautiful. Definitely worth a look if you intend to go for a walk in Bramhall Park as the food here makes for wonderful picnics and certainly doesn't break the bank.

My boyfriend and I had walked around Bramhall Park and happened to see a couple sharing a sandwich and a drink and asked where they had got it from, they couldn't say enough about the fantastic sandwich shop on Fir Road Sandwich Heaven, so from their recommendation we decided to try it our selves, we were greeted by such a friendly young lady and asked us if we knew what we wanted, the menu is huge with something for everyone we took a while to decide by which time the shop had really filled up, so we joined the queue and were served by the owner who couldn't do enough for us asking us how we were and had we had a nice day whilst making the most amazing looking Roasted duck with hoisin sauce sandwich with lots of lovely fresh salad, it was so big he could hardly get it in the bag! my boyfriend opted for a hot Panini the Newyorker which was the panini of the day it was made with such care and attention you could see he was very passionate about making sure the customer would enjoy his food, anyway we waited for the Panini to cook and the owner said he would give us a call, which he did after a few minutes. we had a couple of drinks and slice of delicious homemade Lemon Drizzle cake which looked fantastic, we paid a very reasonable £8.50 and headed back to the park with our sandwiches, every mouthful was a joy to eat we both devoured our sandwiches and then tried the lemon drizzle cake, the taste was amazing, I wanted to shout out to everyone else in the park go and try Sandwich Heaven you wont be disappointed! We will definitely be back to try more of their menu...

Its not possible to state that it is the best meal I have ever eaten in a restaurant but for what it is -a tiny cafe and sandwich shop it is excellent. I have eaten in and used the takeaway service.

I love sandwich heaven! Visit once or twice a month, sandwiches are delicious and cakes are just yummy! Only slight disappointment I had today was watching a member of staff talk down to and get frustrated with a younger obviously less experienced member of staff....not nice to watch! We all have to learn! Disappointed when staff are usually so friendly and jolly!

We've been to sandwich heaven numerous times and each time has been fantastic. We've tried a range of different items from the menu (great choice and variety) and each time the food has been gorgeous. The staff are lovely too- We called in earlier today after visiting bramhall park with our two very tired spaniels and the staff made sure we were all very well looked after. It really is a lovely place to visit for a relaxing weekend treat.

We have been to Sandwich Heaven a lot - and for good reason - it's amazing. The quality of the sandwiches (in particular the sausage & egg!) is outstanding. Really nice staff and they go the extra mile to keep you happy... quite literally... the owner dropped off a sandwich to the Maternity Ward while I waited for my wife to give birth!! Now that's service!! :)

Sandwich Heaven provided the buffet for our annual Ladies Day. We have had many comments from our members. Everyone thought the selection of sandwiches etc and desserts was excellent. Over the years we have used several caterers but many members thought this was the best. We shall certainly use Sandwich Heaven again.George Chairman Jubilee Probus of Bramhall.

This cosy little place is great value. The standard of the food is first class with a good selection.There is always a cheerful welcome from the owner and staff. I visit often, alone or with friends.

Great Sandwiches especially the daily special roast! But get there early for the specials......Very friendly and good value.

Sandwich Heaven provided the buffet to my daughters wedding buffet.I cannot thank them enough. We were professionally guided in terms of catering numbers which was spot on! Thank you Ian!The presentation and quality were superb. All arrived on time and looking extremely appetising!Needless to say despite the generous portions there was very little left at the end of the evening.Truly Awesome and excellent value. Heard lots of people talking about it and had wanted to visit for a while, finally got to go this weekend and I wasn't disappointed! The girls were so friendly and let us drink our coffee while we tried to decide what to have off the extensive menu!! We made our decision finally and we're really happy! Can't rate the place highly enough, well done Sandwich Heaven top notch! Will see you again soon!

Nice quality food with lots of variety and a cheery experience all round!Cannot wait for the second shop to open just round the corner from where I work in Hazel Grove. UItimate Christmas Pannini today was devine; what a twist to have sprouts on it!.. Yum yum

Now i reckon im pretty good at the fine art of butty making. This place proves me wrong as theirs were so much nicer than anything ive ever made! Husband and i had a tuscan and a french cibattas. Even writing this now reminds me of how scrumptious they were. Lovely quality ingredients used, friendly service and they take cards (always a bug bear if a cafe doesnt take cards) oh had choc fudge cake which was also pretty fit. Cant wait to come back and start working my way through the menu!!!

I'd be wanting to try this place for ages as a presenter in a local radio station is always commenting on how good it is, so my partner and I decided to pop in and give it a try. It's a nice little place, clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful....however, I was really disappointed with the food. We both had the breakfast as the items we wanted weren't availble. We probably should have spent more time looking at the menu and not made such a rash decision as the sandwiches other people were ordering did look nice. Our tea arrived and it was cold, then our breakfast arrvied which was mostly hot, but we were both very disappointed with the quality, or maybe it was just the way it was cooked. The bacon was thick, greasy & cold, the sausages chewy and flavourless, there were bits of raw egg white on my plate which still makes me wretch at the thought of it now :o( neither of us enjoyed it and I would not return here to eat again, even though some of the other things looked nice as this experience put me off. It's a shame as the staff are lovely. Perhaps I was expecting too much?!

This was our first visit, we ordered two takeout breakfasts, ready on arrival, friendly staff, tastiest breakfast cooked with fresh local food, even the coffee was fantastic. Cant wait to try out the hot roast beef barm with yorkshire pudding and gravy

If you are ever in the area, you must pay a visit to Sandwich Heaven. Everything they serve is delicious and I can particularly recommend the steak and onion panini. They even cater for my little boy's numerous food allergies. We don't live locally but when visiting family the first thing my two sons ask to do is "go to Sandwich Heaven".Every single member of staff is so helpful and so friendly they make buying lunch an absolute pleasure - I cannot recommend this fantastic place highly enough.

We had important visitors coming over from the U.S here at our Bredbury office and required a more up-market buffet with breakfast, midmorning snack, lunch and midafternoon snack, and finding a catering company that could delivery wasn't the easiest task but Ian and his team at Sandwich Heaven delivered beyond our expectations, all food was brought on time and was presented beautifully....... not to mention every mouthful was delicious with such a variety each day, it really was excellent. Our visitors and colleagues in the office all commented on how lovely the food was and just kept going back for more.

Sandwich heaven is as the name says. Heaven. Staff were so cheerful and helpful and the roast was to die for. The menu looks extensive and had the chance to try the paninis on a return visit. Did not let me down. I have been raving about the quality and taste ever since. My only disappointment is that I don't live or work closely and happened to stray there. If I were closer I would there everyday. Kudos to everyone there for making both my visits memorable ones.
