We ordered lamb shanks/lamb beyti/lamb kofta and also Mousaka which never arrived and while we were eating Nobody asked food so that’s why I’m not happy. And the funny is the restaurant only had one table 😡😡😡😡😡😡

He estado aquí unas tres veces y cada vez he experimentado el servicio de basura, pero sigo queriendo que sea mejor la próxima vez. La última vez que estuve aquí, vine con mi esposo y mis hermanas un martes para comer fuera, ya que este lugar definitivamente no vale la pena el precio completo.El principal problema aquí es la falta de entusiasmo y la mala educación del personal que he experimentado las tres veces que he estado aquí. Las camareras que trabajan aquí piensan genuinamente que son dueñas del lugar, incluso entonces, eso no te da derecho a ser grosero con la gente. Una de las dos meseras que se queda sin hacer mucho, fue llamada por mi esposo y me pidió una jarra de agua, ella lo miró como si no entendiera, así que le respondí diciendo "¿podemos tomar una jarra de agua, por favor? Cuando nos levantamos para irnos, las dos camareras nos vieron irnos a todos uno por uno sin siquiera decir "adiós" o "gracias" ni nada de eso, ¡simplemente mirarnos y hacer muecas como si hubiéramos sido un gran inconveniente para ellos!Sinceramente, ¡la peor experiencia culinaria que he tenido! Lo cual es una lástima, ya que el lugar tiene tanto potencial que tal vez sea útil deshacerse de la camarera y contratar a personas que realmente quieran trabajar allí y que tengan modales básicos. ¡Es seguro decir que nunca volveré a venir aquí! !

Tengo que decir Samaan, he estado buscando su restaurante durante años y los he probado todos. el nombre del restaurante es engañoso porque no cree que sea un restaurante de parrilla turco, por lo que puede pasarlo por alto fácilmente. Hemos probado todos los restaurantes de parrilla turca / Medio Oriente en Cambridge y debo decir que el servicio al cliente de samaan y su parrilla es realmente el mejor de la ciudad.No dudes en elegir este como número 1 para la familia. We really enjoyed Samaan. The hummus was truly amazing, the pita bowl was never empty (refilled 2x!), our meals were tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Decidimos probar algo nuevo esta noche y estoy muy contento de haberlo hecho.Pedimos la fuente para compartir para 3/4 personas.Conseguimos arroz, ensalada, muchos tipos diferentes de carne (cocinada según lo solicitado), salsas y pan turco.Todo fresco y sabroso.Definitivamente volveremos a ordenar.

My husband and I visited this week and we had such a delicious meal. I had lamb beyti which was served with rice, bulgar and salad, which was all so enjoyable. My husband had spicy lamb koftas with chips and the meat was so succulent and tender. The service was fantastic and fast. We were served by Rodika who was lovely. One thing we also loved about this restaurant is that they serve no alcohol. Excellent place to eat!

I have been with my friends in this restaurant. I asked if I could have anything. They just offered Musaka.We ordered Hummus and Pitta Bread has butter in. I asked for another kind of bread never recibed. My order was a lentil soup (apparently dairy free) and rice. They told me the rice was cooked on big portions and they couldn’t boil fresh rice for me.When my soup arrives it has butter in and they have to took it back.I accepted finally the Musaka (really small portion).Really unhappy with this.I won’t come back

We booked this restaurant to try something different. We were not disappointed. An excellent range of very reasonably priced Eastern European dishes. Service was excellent and, despite a large party next to us, we felt the waiters attended to us well, without rushing us through the meal.

Very clean and spacious. Nice seating.We were a group of 17 people booked in advance and we were given the under ground floor with a big TV with YouTube app and even the remote was given to us to chose music as we wish.Food is very good and portions are big and filling. The cuisine is a cross between Persian, Turkish and a touch of Lebanese. Very tasty.Drink prices are reasonable.Very nice service by the waitresses.Prices are very fair for what you get.

There are many similar restaurants around the area but you won’t go wrong with this one! Lovely sitting area, background music isn’t too loud, service is very good and food was prepared fast and of top quality. Would recommend!

It’s not first time I’m coming to this restaurant, and I’m never disappointed. It’s just amazing, I love it. The owner and staff are so friendly, the place is cozy and comfy. With my husband, we took for Starters Hummus and 4pieces of Sambosik lamb( you will see only two on the picture it’s only that I’ve eaten before taking the pic), so delicious. For main course, we had Sharing Platter Mix Kebab. What can I say ! It’s just amazing. And Ayran is so tasty. The prices are reasonable and everything is good. This is definitely one of the best addresses I have . For Cambridge , that’s the Only one.Thank you so much Samaan.

The restaurant has a real wow! factor. The walls and ceiling are covered with gold fretwork panels, there are several chandeliers and a collection of samovars displayed around the room. It looks amazing and is bright, stylish and clean.

For my first visit to Cambridge, this restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent cuisine, a discovery for me who is used to mediterranean cuisine. Coming from a country and region renowned their chef France and more precisely French Basque Country on the Spanish border. An address to remember, and now treat you all !!!

We came in on an early evening, and instantly the beautiful decor of the place stands out- it's certainly very unique and feels very respectful to the cultures their food comes from.

I had a meal with a friend. The food was excellent, the juice is fresh and real fruit juice. We shared the starter which was lovely. The main course was very nice and we were both full up afterwards. We had a fresh mint tea to finish, which was served in small glasses. This was excellent too. We cannot fault the service, staff are very attentive and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

The food and service were great. The staff were clearly going the extra mile to make us feel at home and welcome, even though we came late and close to closing time. Our servers, in particular Madina, were very nice and hospitable. Madina was very friendly and smiling and did not show any discontent even though we had a lot of special demands. Definitely coming back, great food and great service and great value for the money.

Iniciamos nuestra visita a Cambridge y este fue nuestro primer restaurante elegido para comer. Estábamos alojados cerca de la calle Mill Road, que tiene numerosos bares y restaurantes de todo tipo de comidas. Este en concreto especializado en comida mediterránea de tipo árabe y kurda. De entrante pedimos Hummus, Falafel y Sambosik Lam que son como unas empanadillas rellenas de cordero o pollo. Y luego dos Shawarma de pollo, con arroz y verduras. Todo muy rico y a un precio razonable, para lo que se paga normalmente en Cambridge. En la carta hay diferentes tipos de menús para compartir. El servicio muy amable y el local muy acogedor.

We ate here as a family of four. Excellent starters and main courses. My main couldn't have been improved upon. The smoothies were very good. Lemon and Mint was bright green and a really good combination. The service was friendly and efficient.

If you are happy to pay a lot and eat little, this is the best place. Especially the rip off share plater, it comes with a portion of rice only for one person.

I went there with my son. We shared a mixed starter and had a kebab each. The food was freshly prepared but still came reasonably quickly. With a couple of soft drinks it came to £42. Can't wait to go back.

We ordered the platter for 3-4 people. The meat was chewy, the chops were tiny and overcooked and the nan bread was the worst! Burnt and crispy. Nan bread should be soft, fluffy and buttery. Terrible! Service was OK. I also noticed that in previous occasions we received some bread with sauces as an appetizer (not charged). But this time no such thing. Overall we were left very disappointed. The food looked good though ;).

Quite simply the best grilled skewers In mill rd,I say this as a local train driver who use’s the rd at least 3 times a week.

Visited last night in group of three couples.

I am middle eastern myself so often find myself dissapointed when visiting middle eastern restaurants but this one was by far one of the best I have been to in the UK. The food portions were great and good value for money. We ordered the jumbo platter for 6 which was more than enough! I had leftovers for my lunch today! The staff are super friendly and the restaurant is nice and has a lot of potential to grow even further. The tea afterwards was very tasty as well. It took us around 15-20mins to walk there from the grand arcade. Well worth the walk! Thank you

Wow, what a lovely new restaurant. From entry into this beautiful cosy restaurant, i was taken aback by the decor and ambience. I was acknowledged as soon as i entered and was seated promptly.

Very cosy and highly decorated restaurant serving lovely Med/Lebanese/Turkish inspired food. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, although service can be a tad slow. We visited on a Friday evening though, so I can understand as the place rapidly filled up while we were there.

Delicious food and good range of choices but quantity offered was reduced recently for some reasons compared to when the restaurant started.

We found this little gem on our way from town and decided to have an early dinner. And how glad we are that we did. It’s a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant, anybody who has been to the Middle East will understand what I mean. The service was second to none and the portions were great. The different flavours create a taste sensation in your mouth. I will definitely be back in due course and will keep recommending this place!

I went to Samaan because of a recommendation of a good friend of mine. The restaurant has opened not so long ago. The food was really good, they gave incredibly big portions and there was some authentic middle eastern tea after the meal. Exceptional value for money. Service was also really good and friendly. I‘ll visit again when I‘m back in Cambridge.

I love barbecue food and I am a regular customer at Samaan Restaurant. It has never disappointed me. There are always new dishes to my surprise. This is Cambridge’s best Middle Eastern Restaurant serving the best food in terms of flavour, quality and quantity!

I just left Samaan. It's roughly lunch time and was empty. 20 minutes and didn't even ask me for drinks. My parking won't last all day. Waste of time. I was recommended by the folks at Stars Barbers here in Cambridge.

It is an excellent restaurant offers a quality food and service. It s the best middle eastern food in Cambridge. The staff are very friendly and polite. I highly recomment their mix grill and the other tradiotional Iraqi food.

3 of my friends and I enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Samaan. The food was superb and fresh, I recommend the hot mixed platter sharer and mix kebab. The waiters were attentive and the food came quickly. The only criticism I have is the ambience, which due to the constant changing music genres felt a bit odd and was rather off putting. Apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Chicken kuzi was not good, it was Rubbery with no flavour, Rice again no flavour lamb beyti not authentic Turkish. Bad service. Kids wanted pizza they had no pizza I wanted lamb there was no lamb went for the chicken and it was the worst meal I’ve had in my life. Sorry but If you want good middle eastern food go to lagona !!

The food was excellent and very inexpensive. Wonderful value! We were the only customers in the restaurant around 1:30 for lunch and were concerned, however the food was excellent. The vegetarian options are very good! Table service was a bit slow, but worth the wait.

Went for a family meal and we wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious and service was very good. Complementary soup to start and tea at the end was very good and with the very good size portions you will definitely not leave hungry.

We didn't enjoy ourselves for various reasons. We were seated in front of the door which does not have a door stopper on it hence we were plagued by a draught throughout the meal. They couldn't give us another table. We experienced the service as absent. It took three requests to get some water and when I was served with chips rather than rice there was confusion. The menu clearly said the lamb chops came with rice yet the waiter did not seem to understand this.

Food is great, Shawerma, lamb chops, mixed grills or sea bass oh and don’t let me started on the lamb kuzi.

This is a relatively new restaurant at the time of writing and they are certainly making an effort. I went as a couple on a bank holiday weekend and it was comfortably full. The service was good throughout.
