Breakfast legends. Way more preferable than the over priced lido. Well done brighton and Hove Council, for half building a project with local money, then selling it to a corporate bunch of fools to ruin the local facilities. 👍👍👍👍

Amazing service from Shani. Not the first time she has been great either. She has great customer service skills and is so polite and a friendly face. Food is always hot and chefs are welcoming.

Wife ordered the carvery and was disappointed when the pigs in blankets (PIBs) came even later than the dessert and all dried up. But then Shani arrived. She sprinkled her magic gold dust over the situation: we had more than our money back in seconds! Suddenly Shani pivoted our day in the right direction. We smashed the bottom out of the bottomless ice cream and Shani made sure every scoop was a purely magical experience. Will go back (only if Shani is there).

It was poor, we were a little early for our booking at 7, waited 20 mins for the server to take any order drink or food. Ended up ordering at the bar. It wasn't busy. The food took nearly an hour to come, it arrived at 7.55PM. we finished eating at around 8.15 and the server when collecting the plates said the kitchen was closed and there was not option for anything else. We were not told at any time if you want anything before it was closed we needed to order it. 2 of our party had burgers which they said were poor quality and tasted bland. The fish and chips (unspecified fish) was tiny and the batter overcooked. 1 of our party had gammon egg and chips, the egg was so hard you could have bounced it like a rubber ball. 2 of us had the carvery which was ok and at the minimum expected quality. Poor food, poor service, poor communication. Won't be going back.

We came to this place for breakfast for the first time. We opted for the buffet. The place is nice and the staff kind. Breakfast options a bit limited but for us it was ok.

Never got nothing that we wanted no puddings and dinner was disgusting no tarta sauce no apple sauce the gravy was really watering and never ever coming back there the kids had no side food on there plates like beans etc

Me and my parents had a lovely Sunday breakfast from the buffet. The restaurant was nicely busy and there was a good atmosphere. Shani was very bubbly and cheerful, and was also very kind to my elderly parents . As we were leaving we saw the roast meats being placed out and they looked fabulous, we will definitely return for lunch on another day.

I felt that there were not enough staff to cover the amount of people who were there, the carvery was constantly left unmanned to the point where one of our group had to alert the lady behind the bar that someone had been waiting about 10 minutes to be served. There were eight of us and six of our meals came out together, another two had to wait another 20 minutes and again it was because we told a member of staff about it. One meal was sent back as the chips were cold, and the eggs with the gammon meal were hard. Also there was in incident from another diner (special needs?) who threw handfuls of chips at us and then proceeded to throw the salt and pepper pots too. This woman then left shouting obscenities at the top of her voice. All in all, our experience could have been far better.

The only nice thing about this place is Shani the Waitress and thats it. Food is rank Table and floors are rank, dirty and sticky, filthy everywhere the icecream area vile, sticky and unclean. Carvery area just no! Cauliflower hard ! Peas rank list goes on, kids meal well and truly stingy with their chips given kids had about 5 chips each! Burgers could be a bit more put together and presented better. Daughter had a burger only she couldnt eat it because it was over cooked and rock solid, i did complain and the waitress agreed and said she'd get the chef to re do a meal, which they did and we took it away in a box as couldnt sit and eat there any more. Cutlery not the cleanest. And the high chairs are absolutely vile please get rid and replace the plastic is completely peeling away. On exit it was nighttime and not a single light on outside it was pitch black not good for the elderly or my elderly mother in law who couldnt see the pavement to walk back to the car this i feel is a utmost important thing to sort out getting some outdoor lights before someone trips or falls due to no lighting in the carpark. Lots of thing this place needs to improve on. One positive is they did manage to seat all of us with an extra 3 people on the booking. Oh and Shani our waitress seemed to be the only person working sat eve and did all she could to serve us she deserves a pay rise !!

Myself and my family went to the Stonehouse in Saltdean today and were served by a lovely server called Shani. She was very attentive and efficient in helping us have a fantastic meal.

The restaurant was clean and tidy the staff were so welcoming the food was piping hot didnt have to wait long for our puddings and drinks will definitely be coming again

Sadly a restaurant that can't cope when they are about 2/3 full. Chaotic. Carvery not refilled, had to ask about veg and was told none left. Had to ask for gravy which came out really thin. Mash potato was so runny too Should be restocked without customers having to ask for this. Yorkshires looked like frozen ones which is disappointing for a carvery. Roast potatoes also looked like they were frozen too which again was disappointing. All bland tasting. Restaurant in general is filthy. There was ice cream on the floor by the bottomless ice cream machine when we arrived and over an hour later (despite staff going to the machine) it's still a mess and hasn't been cleared up. Very disappointed as we were looking to a nice family roast and travelled over an hour to get here but won't be returning.

Really nice place! Atmosphere was noisy but not raucous, kid friendly, food was tasty (not Michelin quality 😋) and plenty of space in carpark. Close to lido aswell. Perfect for families!

Carvery guy was mean and refused to give 93y/o mother a sausage even though we had spent 60+pounds and the menu does not say anything about only meat or only sausage. Potatoes were overdone to point of being inedible. Burger was ok. Atmosphere was clean and pleasant
