This is a really good fish and chip shop. Always fresh crisp chips. Never soggy. Fish always cooked fresh. Really good portions and good selection of vegie options.

My wife and I fancied fish and chips last week. The fish was dripping with grease when we got home and unwrapped it. Chips were fine but could not make up for the Cod which was inedible. Come on guys let the fish drain for 5 minutes. Will not be back.

We have had food delivery a few times and always been satisfied but not so last night. Firstly the delivery was about 25 minutes late which could explain why the food was lukewarm. The chips were greasy and soggy and the medium cod had little fish in it on one of the pieces. The worst thing was that two large cod were missing and we had to ring and insist that we get two more and fresh chips to go with the fish and had to go and pick it up for two members of our group while the other three ate their lukewarm soggy food. Did not even get a free bottle of pop or anything as a sorry on collection. Prob will be reluctant to use them again as the cost was over fifty pounds and not very nice

Cold chips. Greasy. Thought I'd re try after a previous poor visit. Seems the quality is still poor considering what they charge. I'm not giving any more of my money to this establishment

Waited for 45 minutes watching the staff messing about only to find they had lost my order. So had to wait again while they cooked the food. Finally got food with no apology whatsoever. Got home to fish swimming in oil and stone cold chips. Disgusting. Won't be using again.

Always friendly service ..generous fresh tasty portions ..and even when delivery forgot our drinks ,I called and within 15 mins they delivered our missing drinks

What is the point of pre ordering when you are kept waiting and waiting outside. Taking too many orders that they can't deal with. GREED. total sham. No respect for customers

This is simply the best Fish&Chip I’ve ever had in the past 15 years since I came to UK. I’ve tried nearly all the legendary Fish&Chip shops in London and other nearby cities, none of them surprised me like this local one. The fish was just cooked at the perfect level that the coating covered it was crispy enough to sparkle in my mouth and the fish was so juicy and fresh to present the sweetness from its natural flavour. People who cooked the fish definitely achieved a master level. A big thumb up for the friendly team too👍

Someone said these were the best fish and chips in Brighton - a bold statement. Fish and chips shouldn't be hard to get right - and these guys get it right. What makes them stand out is that a lot of other places get it so wrong so it is worth the journey. Buy your chips, park down by the lido, take the underpass and sit on the stunning and quiet beach. I visited the Fish Bar for the first time this week. I was impressed with the cleanliness and orderliness in the shop, as well as the clear Covid-19 guidance. I collected traditional cod and chips which were piping hot. The chips were golden brown and the fish was delicious with a lovely crisp batter. We will be returning.

Ordered and paid online for a 19:30 pickup. Told them we were in the queue on arrival. Walked out 2 mins later with our order. Fresh, piping hot amazing fish & chips. Still hot on the beach 10 minutes later! AMAZING 5*

Best fish, wonderful staff, friendly and welcoming and great quality of food. Really recommend if in the area, have had visitors from London who remark at how tasty, fresh and generous the Cod is.

Must be an off night as normally the fish batter is not soggy and greasy normally light very crispy batter with a nice chunky piece of large cod. Tonight wasn’t great although the chips and scampi were good

Mi esposa entró en esta tienda y pidió bacalao y papas fritas grandes. Ella esperó a que se cocinara. Luego pagó y nos fuimos a casa. Una vez que ella desenvolvió la comida y en lugar de bacalao tuvimos merluza. Ella conoce a su pez como solía trabajar en un mercado de pescado. Solíamos usar esta tienda de pescado ya que el pescado y las patatas fritas eran realmente buenos. Pero ahora nunca lo haríamos. Hombre codicioso . Y nos asaltaron. Mi esposa no tuvo oportunidad de ver peces antes de envolverlos. Y una vez que llegamos a casa no podíamos molestarnos, ya tenía nuestro dinero, pero nunca más. Hombre codicioso Estafa si tiene la oportunidad.

Once a month we have the pleasure of tasting their amazing food at work they even deliver to us every time.I love the chickenburger it’s the absolute best.I would always come and order my food there again at work or outside work because for me its one of the best fishbars ever and I really mean that.:)

Cada visita tenemos el mismo pedido! Esta semana todos los bacalaos que teníamos grandes y regulares estaban empapados en grasa muy húmeda. Estándar no habitual, todo pegado al papel! Desafortunadamente, creo que este es el peligro de cocinarlo mientras espera y que la masa del pescado no tenga tiempo de escurrir. The fish, savaloys,pies and all of the other items on sale here are pretty good but the chips are just not to my taste, they are big chips but lack the taste of fish shop chips

We love the fish n chips from this shop they never normally disappoint. The large cod is always value for money, however on this occasion we were low on chips and the batter really was not its usual standard. Battered sausage was pucker.

My local fish bar, we visit frequently. Excellent quality food, friendly staff. Only minor thing is sometimes a bit stingy on the chips. But maybe I'm just greedy!

Viele Kunden nehmen ihr Essen aber auch mit. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und auch Zeit für Small Talk ist noch. Falls wir mal wieder in der Ecke sind kommen wir bestimmt wieder.

No te puedes equivocar con este chips - buena cod y patatas fritas siempre fresco y sabroso y con buen tamaño de las porciones. También tienen ensaladas hamburguesas y refrescos, también puede comer en ya que tienen un número de mesas - abierto tanto en el almuerzo y desde las 5 de la noche, se llena bastante!

Went and sat in on a Monday night. The Fishbar was very busy. The premises were spotlessly clean and did not smell of old fat. The owners were friendly and helpful to everyone. The fish was delicious, fresh and delicately fried with home made chips (unheard of these days). Absolutely amazing. I will travel from Kemptown again.

We have been using this fish & chip shop for awhile now since moving into the area. I can quite honestly say that this place does the best chips anywhere in Brighton.The fish portions are huge, mind you so is everything else that they serve. They offer great meal deals for adults and children for great prices as well. They have also recently renovated it so there is more seating if you wish to have your food there which the kids enjoy. The staff are great, always happy to chat to you about football as they are keen fans. Great food.

Wow what a great Fishbar. They have 4 or 5 tables so we sat down with a haddock and chips. We have been to this fish & chip shop quite a few times now and it has allways been top class. It's busy with the locals 9n a Friday night a constant stream of punters. I give them top marks.

My local fish bar.staff are always happy they know their menu and the fish is always excellent. We always use these guys which says something as there is so much competition locally.portion suze is generous.
