Salt House Tapas in Liverpool

Wonderful evening in this restaurant. Friendly, funny and professional staff enhanced the delicious food. Great value for money (non-ripoff London prices 🤔)

Possibly one of the best gluten free experiences I've had in a restaurant. The gluten free menu, compared to the general one, had most of the same dishes. The service was really present and helped you feel relaxed; the waitress with the long braid was especially helpful! All the gluten free dishes came with a small flag, including my mother's dishes, so I knew which dishes we could share. The food was absolutely glorious and if you find yourself waiting more than a minute for the lamb; it's absolutely worth it.

A divine culinary experience. Staff were top tier, food was out of this world. Succulent and perfect flavouring. Recommend the chicken skewers, meatballs, and croquettes.

It is a tapas place where they also have the option of a menu for 17 pounds that includes 3 portions that you can choose from a list, in general they are all good and you are satisfied, if you are very hungry the menu is still small, but as an option to eat one day it is very good.

The food and service we had here were exceptional. We'll definitely go again when we're in the city. We had six tapas between three of us. The Málaga fried fish and the mushroom risotto were wonderful.

5th time we have visited and the food was exceptional. Great service from Jenny and the chef Dylan's food was a cut above. Looking forward to coming back.

Fantastic atmosphere, super food, great service, several veggie & vegan options.

My wife and I visited the Salt House for dinner with friends yesterday evening. It is a fabulous Tapas House situated in the city centre in Liverpool close to transport links. The restaurant has a real buzz and vigour to it but not too loud to easily converse. Our meal was really good value. The tapas dishes were absolutely delicious. I particularly enjoyed the lamb rump and ox cheek. The Rioja and dessert wines that we drunk were also excellent. Our waiter Joe provided attentive service including making recommendations regarding which dishes to try. We can’t wait to return to the Salt House.

Lovely food and staff, but sadly the experience was marred by losing the deposit we paid. Booked for 8 people weeks ago and paid £80 deposit, unfortunately only 5 people could actually make the lunch. When we settled the bill only £50 had been offset against the total. When this was queried we were told only 5 had turned up so only £50 was given back from the deposit. Seems a bit of a sneaky policy and one that I have never experienced before. Anyways thankfully we are spoilt in liverpool for tapas and as a group and family we won't be going back or recommending salt house tapas in the future.

I came here with my friend for my birthday the other day and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was absolutely delicious, with a broad opportunity to taste many different tapas dishes, perfect for sharing. I particularly enjoyed the fried fish and the prawns. Dishes range from around £6-£10ish I would say, which I think is very reasonable for the quality of it. The service was fantastic and really the cherry on top of a wonderful visit; our waitress Aisy was conversational and friendly, and made the experience all the more worth it. We’ll definitely be back!

Chose to eat from the 3 dish offer menu and was not disappointed..all the food, including the dishes I shared were superb. The chicken skewers being my favourite. The atmosphere was great and the staff were amazing, especially Joe who went above and beyond!!

I had the best night at Salthouse Tapas. We were a table of 9 - it was Poppies Cleaning Services Christmas night out (do it in January and avoid the rush!). Elizabeth (hola y muchas gracias - tu equipo hizo un gran trabajo!) was the supervisor on the night and did a great job. The food was really amazing, hot from the kitchen to the table and the service was really very good - we felt looked after and the staff interacted with us in a really friendly and helpful manner. You need to try this place! Excellent in every way - highly recommended.

The staff was lovely. Dinner was amazing. What I suggest eating is the lamb because the meat was amazing and the sauce was delicious. It is my first time in Liverpool and that was my first dinner and I want to live here now because of this restaurant. Eat here if you want a amazing dinner.

The food was Devine!! The tapas was delightful, so so good!!! Service was bloody good too! The beautiful Spanish girl (Raquel) who served us was lovely, so helpful, polite and just lovely!!! Didn’t get any pics of the rest of the food because I was too busy enjoying it haha!

Immediately after walking in, it smelt delicious - like one of those Spanish buffets you get on holiday! The decor is nice and fitting. Waitress was lovely, she served us attentively and even poured our drinks for us. The main menu seemed a little expensive but we got the lunch menu which was a good deal. Food comes as it’s made here, not all at once, which I was particularly fond of since it’s fresh out of the kitchen. The risotto was a bit bland but the rest of the food was amazing, and special mention to the chorizo which was one of the best chorizo dishes i’ve ever had. It was so juicy and flavoursome. The sauce for the calamari was deliciously tart with a hint of lemon, which really complimented the squid. Jug of red sangria was delicious and a good portion for price.

As someone with multiple food allergies (including nuts and egg) and being vegetarian, Salt House Tapas exceeded my expectations. Not only was there various options, the service - especially from our server Joe was friendly, attentive and excellent. The food was absolutely delicious and will definitely be going back. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic food! Everything we ordered was delicious. The staff were so nice and helpful. We had a few allergies and they made us feel super safe. Very accomodating. Big shout out to our server Joe! Quick service but we did go on a relatively quiet Thursday evening. Beautiful interior with comfy seats. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

New Years day and popped in for a quick glasss of wine and we were met by a real friendly guy with a beard who made us feel so welcome...had a glass of wine ... then we saw the food being cooked and served... we decided to stay for dinner and are we glad we did! The service was so good but the food was just delicious and having travelled and lived all over Europe for many years we can honestly say that this is the best tapas we have ever tasted. If your ever in Liverpool look this place up as you will enjoy the atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious tapas like youve never tasted before!

Absolutely phenomenal food, phenomenal service, and catered to my allergy excellently. When returning to Liverpool will be returning here.

Visited for the first time last night. What a fabulous restaurant. Every dish was outstanding and cooked to perfection. So good I had to place a second order. This is the first time we have been to Salt House Tapas in a few years. We have always liked it, but this time was the best by far. I had the Hake, Chicken Skewers and the chorizo with egg. The food was absolutely top notch! My friends also were very impressed with the food. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this place but advise you to book. It was very busy. The staff were amazing, so welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food was good, very tasty, quick service and was so good we ordered more. The atmosphere was lovely, chatty, bubbly and full of people just having fun. We were reassured to relax, enjoy the meal, no rush - which we did as each order came out.

100/10 stars every time. I love the food here, If you love amazing food and a good atmosphere this is the one, they are often full so book in advance. I am looking forward to another visit to Liverpool so I can eat at Salt House Tapas again.

Food and serving staff were amazing. Greeting staff accused us of Being too drunk to go to the toilet as we might fall down the stairs. We have had 2 drinks.

We've been coming here for years now, and I don't think I've ever had a bad dish, never mind a bad dinner/experience. I could list a whole host of dishes that we've had that have been excellent here, but I'll give a couple of quick nods to the tomato toast with manchego, the ox cheek, the smoked paprika chicken skewers, and the goat's cheese. For drinks the one I find I go back to time and again is the excellent red wine sangria. Staff always great too, and so is the atmosphere. It's become one of our favourite places to eat in town.

Absolutely amazing services, very freindly and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Food came out in 20 minutes and was delicious. 100% recommend the chargrilled lamp rump with lamb jus, perfectly cooked.

Foodgood here - I had the roasted hake, padron peppers and broccolini- all very good. I was warmly welcomed as a solo diner and offered good wine recommendations. One slight issue was they forgot my second glass of wine so it arrived after i finished eating. Good wine though😀

Staying in liverpool for four days decided to try tappas food,the food was excellent service was excellent quite busy for a monday night.

Took a weekend trip from london to liverpool and so glad to have eaten here! The customer service was great and the staff were very accommodating. The food is delicious and restaturant has a cosy feel. Allergies are taken very seriously here which I highly appreicated. Overall great experience, you must visit and cant wait to return!

Outstanding as always. All is top notch, and like it's sister restaurant (Baccaro). There's a reason both are booked up pretty well in advance and it's well worth the planning ahead and getting a table here.
