A colleague and I went to the café for our lunch break today. The server area was poorly optimised, as the menu for food was located behind the drinks ordering area rather than where you order your food. This caused confusion. My colleague ordered a chicken roll and I ordered the pasta salad. After waiting a ridiculous 30 minutes the chicken roll arrived, but I was informed that the kitchen didn't have the ingredients for my salad. I was astounded that it took them 30 minutes to inform me of this and to heat up a simple roll, especially given that the café had only a small number of people. As a consequence of this we were running late for work, and I was forced to leave without my order. The only positive in the experience was the waitress, who was friendly and apologetic regarding the whole fiasco (none of which was her fault, the blame laying with the incompetent kitchen). I was offered a pre-made sandwich and a baked snack which I accepted in lieu of a refund. A terrible experience and to top it all off, my colleague described the chicken roll as tasting "like airport food". Don't go here, there are much better eateries nearby.

As in all Sainsbury’s cafe , the ordering system needs a major rethink I.e Friday am. Queue and eventually order and receive 2 Cappucinos Queue proceeds and after 3/4 minutes arrive at till Order 2 sandwiches .1 toasted brown, bacon 1 plain white, sausage. Not rocket science. Coffe rapidly cooling Sit and wait.....and wait....and wait. After questioning delay, breakfast arrives 2 brittle over nuked small brown rolls. Beige bacon Coffee lukewarm Did we complain?? No. After waiting so long, who needs the hassle? Next time we’ll try Tesco Knocknagoney

This café was not particularly welcoming. The food was not very appetising. The cappuccino was tepid at best, and it took over 15 minutes to heat a toastie

I stopped here for a quick americano at 6.45pm and discovered the days fresh sandwiches being displayed at much reduced prices. All day breakfast for 50p. Beat that. Ideal for students. Coffee quite good. Good service from a lady who seemed to know what she was doing, and she did have a smile.

I stopped here after a medical appointment at the Musgrave Park this morning. Easy parking and on my way home, so that is what brought me to this place. Ordering is a pain and when I was there the staff seemed intent on serving other members of staff rather than bona fide customers like me. What saves this place from a really bad review is that the smoked salmon with scrambled egg (forget the toasted bagel, it was awful) was very good. The scrambled egg was as good as I have had in a long time and there was the right quantity of nice smoked salmon. Well done! Having said that it is pretty ghastly place to eat.

Visited for lunch, tried to order meals as advertised on the board to be told "we don't have any of that" Ordered lasagna- it looked like it had been flattened and it was one of the supermarket microwave dishes also the garlic bread was burnt and dry!!! How can a cafe linked to a good supermarket run out of macaroni cheese, and cottage pies. The wait for the inedible lunch was beyond a joke' and their staff need some customer service training. Will not be back

I ordered a coffee and scone. Had a 5 min wait to get the scone heated, I had my Nectar card on the tray but the cashier said she forgot to scan it. I couldn't find butter and was told to queue at the counter and ask for it there ,another 5 mins the butter was taken from a fridge hard as a rock, by this time my heated scone was cold as was my coffee.

We called in midmorning for brunch. My sister waited 25 mins for a bacon sandwich! Lots of staff arrived as customers after us but got their breakfast before my sister. Very disappointing not even a sorry for the delay. Not the first time we have had issues in this cafe will give it a miss next time!

Had a sausage roll here and it was an immediate regret. The sausage roll was extremely spicy and I found it hard to eat. The staff here also weren't very helpful.

Had lunch here in November ordered their very good fish and chips at lunch time. It took 30 mins to come to table when it dis I asked a girl who was cleaning tables if we could have a fresh pot of hot water as out tea had been on table 30 mins. She was so rude 'you need to back up and stand in queue " and walked off. I did this and was given hot water no tea bag no apology and when I said I had been spoken to so rudely they just shrugged ! I asked for manager and was told he wasn't there. I acknowledge place was busy but my work also busy but would not have staff speak to clients the way I was spoken too. Very disappointed

No volveré.

We went here for a quick lunch prior to looking at clothes. Food itself was OK. however cafe was reasonably busy but the system is inefficient. I had soup - chicken and vegetable which was quite tasty but a little over cooked. Had to ask on three separate occasions for butter, knife and plate. all supplied eventually. When we eventually got to the till, my daughter ordered a jacket potato which we then paid for. It was brought to the table about 10 minutes later - was quite tasty. I had finished my soup before it arrived. Would nit recommend if hoping for a quick and simultaneous lunch. We won't be back

Harvest Marketlocation-iconBelfast City AirportBritish

Looking through my photos, it was actually the image of St. George’s Deli & Kitchen “Irish stew” that got my feelings of wanderlust going again. Of course, it’s not that the stew was particularly mind-blowing; rather, it was more of what it represented: The ability to travel beyond borders, through airports, on planes, to explore other places and cultures without the worry of contracting COVID. Indeed, that was only six months ago, but it feels like so much longer. But enough philosophical reflection. This café-style eatery, located in Belfast City Airport, carries a little bit of history – and I’m not talking about the vague references to the world-famous St. George’s Market; instead, I’m referring to its life as an eatery. Beginning life as the Harvest Market, the establishment was re-branded sometime in 2017 as “St. George’s Deli & Kitchen,” obviously drawing inspiration from the aforementioned St. George’s Market. Interestingly, this re-branding did catch the ire of many folks who traded and worked at the actual St. George’s Market, if only because, according to the Belfast Telegraph, the Market’s fresh produce “will not necessarily feature on the menu.” I do feel this is a valid criticism because if you’re promoting or drawing inspiration from a world-famous Market then, naturally, some of what you sell should come from there – not just propaganda photos. But then, maybe things have changed since this place opened and some ingredients/goods do come from the Market? In any event, St. George’s Deli & Kitchen is modern and spacious, especially for an airport restaurant. It contains a variety of seating options – everything from your typical café-style seating, small booth seating , and plush leather chairs similar to what you might see in, say, a bachelors pad. The lighting fixtures are also attractive and help to give the space a smart, clean look. I especially enjoyed the large floor-to-ceiling windows, which allowed me to watch Flybe (RIP) and Aer Lingus bumble about like busy worker bees. When it came to food, as noted, I decided to order the traditional Irish stew. I wanted to avoid the typical burgers and fries type deal + get a small taste of Ireland. Now, when I ordered, I was fully aware that the stew probably wasn’t going to be the best representation of the dish, but at least it would be a start. It certainly looked the part and, when it came to flavours, I was pleasantly surprised. The stew was flavourful; the carrots, potatoes and lamb were tender, and the broth made for excellent dipping with the bread. In many ways, the dish reminded me of a beef stew my grandparents used to make. In short, the Irish stew far exceeded my (low) expectations. FOOD: 4/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 4/5 RECOMMENDATION: Because of my experience, I was fairly surprised when I logged on to TripAdvisor and saw that 44/65 reviews for this restaurant were rated as either “poor” or “terrible,” representing just over 67% of the total. Maybe other items on the menu are sub-par, or maybe I just got lucky? Regardless, I found St. George’s Deli & Kitchen to be a decent place to eat . . . not that there’s much choice in BHD ;) PS: If you found this review helpful in any way please consider hitting the "helpful" button!

¡Seriamente!
