The robot was really cool it was really futuristic and modern, I was impressed a restaurant as such had one. This restaurant has advanced technology that is a lot higher than any other restaurants standards 👍 Food was delicious and aromatic

We had a lovely time here yesterday. Our waiter Iqbal at Sahara Grill Gants Hill was attentive, polite and very friendly. He made sure to adjust our order when we asked for less salt/less ice and checked in throughout the evening to make sure everything was okay.

Food and service was great. We really enjoyed our steaks which were flavoured beautifully and cooked perfectly to our taste. Our waiter Abdul Wahab was very attentive. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Our favourite steak spot. The food is always spot on and cooked to perfection. The mushroom sauce is so creamy and nice and tops off the steak perfectly. The establishment is clean and the service of the staff is the best. We’ve been served by Iqbal many times and he always goes out of his way to ensure we have a great time.

The missus was a fan from her Leyton days so took me to the Gants Hill branch for my first taste of Sahara Grill. And it was pretty good. We tried the rib-eye steak and the sauteed chicken and they both came out really nice. Food size was decent and despite being conservative in our orders we took some food home. The person serving us was Iqbal and he really took good care of us and helped us navigate around the menu. Iqbal recommended medium-well for the steak and I'm glad I listened rather than my preconceived choice of "well done" which often doesn't serve me good. I'd definitely go back and maybe next time try the T-bone steak!

Over priced and not fresh food. Almost everything we ordered seemed to be from a high street store frozen food section. The mineral water was the most astonishing item on the menu, costing £4.95 - turns out to be a bottle of Highland Springs which would cost no more than £1.15 from a local store. Very disappointing.

Visited Sahara Grill for dinner last week Friday and the service was fantastic, Iqbal was our waiter for the night and he was extremely attentive and professional. The steak was tender and I thoroughly enjoyed my lychee mocktail.

Dry food, was not nice at all, staff seem nice but also feels very unnatural, as soon as we got in one of the staff writes your name on this paper/ sign-in book (with no explanation why) although you're going to be seated right away. It's cool the have a robot to bring the food, and the staff just pick it up and place it on the table, I took literally one bite and one of the staff came to me and said how is your food, with a fake smile holding his hand together (unnatural example). The plates and cutlery were not quite clean. Honestly spend your money elsewhere for sure its not worth it, I said to myself like 5 years ago I won't go there again and I did the other day, I was so disappointed.

People rave about this place, but I think it's okay. Food is fine. It's a bit expensive. Atmosphere is nice too. Always busy. But some would say it's not what it used to be.

Upon arrival, the staff warmly welcomed me with friendliness. Iqbal provided outstanding service, enhancing my dining experience with delightful conversation. While the food was satisfactory, the peppercorn sauce was excessively peppery. Iqbal was promptly informed and relayed the feedback to the chefs. Despite this, my overall experience at Sahara Grill was delightful, and I would enthusiastically recommend it.

The food is good but the service is even better if you are served by Iqbal. He is a credit to Sahara Grill and one of the nicest, attentive waiters you will come across. If you are a large group or coming with family ask to be served by Iqbal as he is the man! Always checking in, ensuring you have everything you need and preempting before you ask which is a massive blessing when you have kids! Thank you Iqbal!

Not the greatest experience, went there to celebrate a close friend's 40 birthday with cake in hand. Was then told we weren't allowed to bring in our own food and the cake was taken away. 😐

One of the oldest and overall most consistent of the slightly higher end halal restaurants in Ilford. Be sure to try the Sahara shrimps, lamb chops and the beef burgers (Mexican is a good choice). Their signature roast chicken is quite unique and a must-try. Steaks - to be honest I've had better, but each to their own. Another positive is that the business is boycotting Coca Cola and Pepsi products and have replaced them with alternatives like Green Cola, which is a perfectly good option. Their service remains just as good as it always has been.

Iqbal had extremely professional,excellent and with integrity. I believe he should be promoted to a store manager as his manner was above and beyond our expectations. Well done mate.

Their Rib-eye and porterhouse steak were imply amazing. Fresh and tender meat. Full of flavours. Iqbal served us and guided us through the menu. Riz frite special spicy was my favourite. I’ve been coming to Sahara Grill, in particular this branch at Gants Hill, for years and it has yet to disappoint! Sure, prices have gone up over the years, but the food is undeniably and consistently exceptional. To top it off the staff are great – in particular impeccably dressed and always smiling Adam, and Nazrul whose attention to detail makes the place feel like home. Highly recommended restaurant. 👌

This is the best restaurant I have been to this year. Very friendly and professional customer service. Nazrul was the Waitor who attended to us. He is one-of a kind. My 2year old was unsettled, Nazrul went out of his way to ensure she was settled. I would recommend this restaurant in Ilford-Gants Hill any day.

I had an amazing experience at the ilford branch today! Thanks to the fantastic service from Iqbal who genuinely went completely above and beyond for us. I decided to differ from my usual choices and try different dishes. He recommended the prawn min frite which was absolutely loved by me and my family as we passed on our compliments to the chef, and will definitely be a go to for me now. I’ve been a regular at the whitechapel and ilford branches for years and have enjoyed every time i visit, and today was certainly no different. Thank you for making our day!!!!

Sahara grill is unique restaurant. With healthy option. Mr Iqbal and Mr Musharraf served us well all the time. All other staff is friendly and nice.
