Sage in Crawley

Considering this was my first visit I was absolutely impressed! Fantastic welcoming and the food was amazing I had the garlic cheesy mushroom on sour dough and Apple crumble omg I will 100% be back for that again. Also impressed of all the homemade options I would add some pics but I eat so quick as it was so good I forgot lol. What a lovely warm cosy venue!

Sage Cafe was an excellent choice for me and my partner to eat with a couple of hours to waste while in town seeing friends. Their menu is impressive and everything we ordered tasted fresh and superbly cooked. It was a wonderful experience.

Went for lunch with some friends. There was a great menu with lots to choose from as well as a specials list. The food was delicious and the staff lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend.

The most genuinely welcoming and friendly place to eat in the area. A family run business that make you feel like a member of the family. And to top it off, the best food in the area, too!

OMG - came for a breakfast, ended up having a vegan doner kebab which absolutely blew me away! As other posters have said, great food in a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. If I lived locally, I would be going almost daily!!!

Always delicious food! The lasagne is so good! We ordered and collected to have at home as a family dinner but we’ve also eaten in many times. Staff are always lovely and so friendly.

Me and my dad now visit pretty regularly and honestly it’s one of my favourite places to eat. All the staff are so friendly, the food is spectacular and it’s just a lush atmosphere!! PLUS My mum who is very sceptical and unsure of vegan food (also very fussy!) has been and loved it… so that says it all!! If you are debating going then this is your sign to go for it :)

Loved this cafe. Food was tasty, vibes were cool and staff attentive. In short, the atmosphere was wonderful. If you’re looking for more soulful-jazz instrumental tracks Sage, I’d also recommend Kiefer. Will be back again if ever I’m in the area! :)

This was a complete highlight. We went as a family of 4, including two non-vegans. The range of options was incredible, with something to suit every palate. We had the cauliflower and chestnut soup and the stuffed mushrooms to start - both were beyond delicious. We had the nut roast Wellington, Shicken Christmas dinner, chilli non carne, and the Iskender Kebab for mains, and the white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. We had the Chilean red wine Merlot, which was vegan, and so good we had a second bottle. I could not fault the meal, the flavours were incredible, the decor was lovely and service was fabulous. Bathrooms were spotless. This place is family-run and great value for money. Would highly highly recommend, and next time we are in Crawley this place will be top of our list.

Amazing. Absolutely love this place. It’s the only place we go to when eating out and it never disappoints. The staff are so friendly and it’s such a warm and welcome atmosphere. The home made food is delicious and the selection is varied. Still not made our way through the whole menu yet as we keep coming back to our favourites. From the milkshakes to the deserts, the starters and the mains, from the accommodating staff to the cosy dining experience - I can’t say a bad word about this place. I won’t ever stop choosing Sage Cafe as my no.1 place to dine out.

Amazing food and very friendly staff. Always have a great time visting here. Staff are all so lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is incredible, you definitely don't need to be vegan to enjoy it here. The Christmas roast was so tasty and a great size portion.

We visit here all the time and visited this weekend for the Xmas lunch. It was fabulous, healthy and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this lovely cafe to all.

I have always wanted to visit sage, and today i finally got the chance to. My mum and i had lunch at 1pm. Mums has had some heartbreaking results back about her health so we really wanted a nice treat before her treatment starts. The experience from start to finish was such a positive one. We were greeted with a warm welcome and seated straight away, next to the window, the restaurant is pretty and very clean. We were recommended coconut milk in the cappachino, and it was beautiful! So creamy and frothy! Id love to know what one they use. We couldnt decide what to eat so we orderd two types of kebab and were given extra plates so we could share them. Being able to have a whole menu to choose from is a real luxury! The food came freshy cooked. Hot and flavoursome. The portion size was spot on.( we were very hungry lol) the flatbread was fluffy and the koftes were a lovely texture. i felt the service was really personal too, this was a nice touch and something that you dont get in the big chain reataurants. The mothers home made baklavas are worth a try! We took them home to enjoy later. Over all i cant wait to go back. Iv been dropling over the food on their instagram for a long time im so happy its all i expected it to be. Iv already decided what im having next, the aubergine peanut curry and biscoff latte . I’m not anything close to a vegan or vegetarian so I’m probably a tough customer for a vegan cafe. However, this place is great! The moving mountains burger tastes just as good as a real burger which I was almost ashamed to admit.. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try even if your a carnivore like me

A great find. Lots of choice all with a slightly different spin. Staff/ owner is more than happy to chat and explain menu contents. Bonus is they have a liquor licence. Would highly recommend a visit from all veggies and non veggies alike.

Three of my friends and I came here for midweek dinner after work. None of us are vegan or even vegetarian but we'd heard such good things about this restaurant that we wanted to try it. Three of us had the aubergine peanut butter curry which was delicious. I ate every last grain of rice from the plate! I did have to add a bit of salt but I didn't mind that. Another friend had the mushroom and vegan halloumi burger with chips. Even the salad garnish looked beautiful. She said she would definitely have it again and the cheese was very cheesy. Slightly softer than normal halloumi.We saw they have a breakfast menu so we'll be back for that one weekend. I even bought a vegan sausage roll to have for lunch the next day.The service was fantastic. They let us choose our table even though they had reserved a different one for us. When we couldn't decide which sauces to have with our chips they bought over a little pot of all of them. The garlic mayo and curry ketchup were our favourites. Even if you're not a vegan, you must try sage!

Visited Sage for the first time on a weekday as Crawley does lack creativity of Vegan/Vegetarian food. This place is a gem, as the food was made to perfection. The staff are very friendly and have no complaints. We visited Sage again over the weekend to try another item on the menu, and they now serve a plant based burger, similar to the Beyond Meat Burger, and it was amazing. My daughter and I were in crawley with some time to kill. As we both follow a strict plant based diet we googled vegan cafes. This one came up, we were able to park right outside and we were not disappointed. The mixed vegetable dish with rice noodles was delicious and so fresh. My daughter had the chickpea burger which she really enjoyed. Their homemade slaw and mushrooms and cheese on toasted sourdough was just as yummy. We will definitely be back and the staff were really friendly. I know there will be so many more cafes like this in the future as demand increases. Well done for creating delicious nutritious food in a friendly ambience

This is my go to! The food is always delicious and the staff are always friendly. From the sides to mains to desserts are unreal! Portion sizes are generous and the price is affordable. Came here for breakfast as a family with 2 young kids and they loved the food as much as we did. Plenty of choice, very accommodating, food was top quality as well as the service and would definately recommend to everyone - even if you’re not a vegan! (We are not vegan ourselves) can’t wait to go back and try more of the dishes on the menu!

We had a terrific lunch - a jackfruit burger, deliciously sticky, in a bun with loads of salad and a good portion of fries. My friend had a broccoli boost salad which was an event in itself. Lovely service, nice atmosphere, bill came in at £25 for the two of us, including creamy vegan coffees after.
