Saffy's Cafe Bar & Brasserie in South Ayrshire

My wife and I had lunch here on a week day. We both had a curry. Mine was the seafood curry while my wife had the beef curry. Both dishes were excellent. Service was quick and efficient. We will definitely be back.

First time visiting, but will definitely be back. Food was absolutely delicious, great choice and first class service.

Best family run restaurant in Ayrshire. Absolutely love this place, everything about it, the friendly staff, warm cosy atmosphere and most importantly the food. You will not find better. I have worked through most of the menu but the salmon curry is a personal favourite for me, it is consistently delicious. They have lots of vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options available.

Every meal ordered by our party was spot on. The service was very well balanced and the venue was comfortable and welcoming.

I spent 3 days in Ayr visiting a friend and she raved about this restaurant so we finally got around to going there on my last evening before moving on as they'd been closed for a couple of days and then were fully booked when we first tried to get in. We got a table around 8pm and it was still packed with people then - it looks like the go to spot in Ayr for grub and now I know why; food was super tasty and I'd go as far to say it was one of the nicest meals I had during my 10 days or so travelling throughout Scotland. Restaurant was really busy but the staff were really attentive and made sure everyone was happy with everything. Good food for good prices, nice clean and tidy building. Highly recommended & will visit again when next in the area.

I just love this place, the food is always first class, fresh and consistently delicious. Having now eaten here on several occasions, I can honestly say I’ve never even had a single bad dish. Love it.

Amazing service. The food was delicious. Then unfortunately my father became unwell and the care the staff gave was superb. They called an ambulance and gave space and privacy for the paramedic to deal with the situation. We truly appreciated all the help given. We hopefully will go back for a less eventful meal soon! One of our favourite local restaurants that we visit as often as we can. Always offering fresh and exciting dishes along with classic Scottish favourites. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a stellar evening meal!

Lovely bistro just a short walk from the train station. Was in town for the day and found this on Google. Ordered the chowder and fish cake. Both amazing - fresh and homemade. Just lovely.

Food was lovely and staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely go back again. The Cajun chicken curry was beautiful and the greedy pig burger was delicious, however it was messy 😆

A small establishment by one of the corners by Dalblair road. Cosy and warm interior , great atmosphere for small gatherings and meet up with friends. Great hospitality from the staffs too. A great variety of dishes on the menu with a taste of global fusion. It’s certainly a place to try while you’re in Ayr.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 we visited Saffys today for lunch and oh my goodness!! Can’t believe we have been missing out on this place, the staff are so lovely and the food is phenomenal! Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing. Kids had soup for starters which was so tasty followed by cheeseburger & fish n chips, both of which were unreal. We had the katsu chicken burger and the greedy pig and it was hands down the best burgers we have ever had. The chips are beautiful too. The atmosphere is so nice and such a relaxing little place. I would’ve been happy paying the bill twice. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Excellent quality, delicious non-greasy fish and chips and Haddock gratin. Would definitely recommend a visit.

The girl serving was lovely. I ordered the Texan Pig and Chicken. I wouldn't recommend it as the pulled pork was too sweet for my taste but chips and coleslaw with it were tasty. The highlight was the side of corn on the cob and the sweet delicious coffee. I recommend going but order something else.

The food and service are always brilliant. I love this place. But... A caesers salad should have anchovies chopped to an inch of their life, garlic the same. Here's the bad bit. Saffys don't do this. You get a dollop of hellmans mayo and some anchovies slightly sprinkled on top. What a cop out. Teach the chef to do a simple real mayo and mix the ingredients into the real thing. Caesar would boke at that attempt. I went home that night and done the real thing. Try Austins in Girvan. You'll love it.if you want the recipe and I'm not a chef, call me. It's simple ingredients, but don't use red wine vinigar. Ponsy Gordon ramsay

First visit to Saffys last night and certainly won't be our last - what can I say staff very efficient and friendly and food was the best we've had in a long time I had cranberry and brie bussetta followed by duck which was amazing my husband had tampura chicken so light. Followed by Salmon with Parma ham we finished sharing a raspberry snowball sundae all in all we had been recommended this restaurant by a friend and will certainly share this with others well done Saffy and loyal staff

We have been going to Saffy's for years and it has consistenly been great. Every time I go, I have something different and it is always delicious. Service is always very nice and friendly. Recently, my son chose the restaurant for his 10th birthday and they could not have been nicer.

The food and staff were lovely. We really enjoyed the cocktails too.We were able to take our puppy who was treated so well and given a bowl of water. Food was vert tasty and well presented, glad we booked ahead.

Popped into Saffys after seeing set lunch menu advertised online but sadly its not available?Chose from a la carte menu anyway and we were not disappointed by tge fushcakes of salmon and haddick in a creamy leek sauce.I had the battered fish,chios and peas with siverskin onions.Was to die for.Server was cheery and polite but she really needs to stop saying ‘perfect’ after every sentence.After 10 times it becomes annoying.Im sure she isn’t even aware she says it Really nice venue and super lunch though.

From the outside Saffy's looks like quite a small place, but once inside it opens up like the Tardis. Initial service was good and this continued throughout our meal. The menu is imaginative, in a good way: if the dishes that we chose are representative of others that come out of the kitchen, then it's brilliant all round. Our only regret is that we couldn't revisit time after time and go through the whole menu, as there was plenty on there that sounded so tempting. Prices were reasonable too, well worth the money.

When we got there the 2 dishes we spotted on the menu on Facebook weren’t on the menu…no problem, we were able to order both once they checked with the kitchen and we were glad we did. The 3 dishes we ordered were really tasty,, cauliflower buffalo wings, katsu burger & red pepper with squash, pakora & halloumi. We went here for the vegetarian menu which is larger than most restaurants, so much food they kindly packaged to take home :) Service was good and the atmosphere is pleasant, we will be back!

It is often the unplanned visits that turn out to be the best and our visit to Saffys was one of those evenings. Let down by another restaurant we called in to Saffys and asked if they had a table for 8 which we thought last minute during restrictions would be unlikely but surprisingly they said if we could be there in 10 mins they could fit us in but time would be limited due to prior bookings. We had great service, the menu had a good choice and this was matched by a good choice of beer and wine . It was 2 hours later we realised it was way past the allotted time given at the start but we were told they had managed to organise the tables to allow us to stay and enjoy our evening. Thank you it made our first family get together for 16 months really special. If you go see if you can find where the picture was taken in the place.

Love this place, has to be one of the best I've eaten in. Its my favourite whether home or abroad. We've just booked a 2 day trip to the area simply to eat there. The jambalaya is particularly delicious, that said I've never had it in new Orleans so what do I know. Anyway 😋

Perfect, perfect service, perfect fillet steak, juicy tender and tasty, great cocktails, best night out in Ayr, in fact Scotland and we have been to Peebles and Edinburgh. Very classy, great ambiance, perfect.

Dined there 2 out of 4 nights in Ayr, ambience lovely food delicious steak one night and haddock mornay second time almost asked for some bread to mop up the sauce which was superb. Friendly staff and will certainly return if I visit Ayr again.

I haven't been in Saffy's for a couple of years, but everytime I did go the meals were wonderful, hot and tasty , the menu was great, and vegetarian options too. the staff were very friendly and helpful

Friendly staff, great service and amazing food. The chicken balmoral was delicious as well as the fish and chips. Good selection of alcoholic drinks and beverages as well as options on the menu. After being turned away elsewhere with a dog we came here and I’m glad we found it. The dog was provided with her own bowl of water on arrival! Will be back soon again when we return to Ayr!

Been here a number of times and never a bad meal yet. Always get good food that leaves you full and satisfied without feeling bloated.

My partner and I visited Saffy’s for lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon. He had fish and chips and I had the trio of fish from the specials menu. Food was delicious. Portions were fair, not enormous. Service was pleasant. The cafe was busy but it was easy to catch the serving staff’s attention. We didn’t have desert as we were in a rush but the options looked lovely. The interior is very attractive and cosy with art for sale by local artists and lots of little objets d’art.

Favourite restaurant. Amazing fresh food and lovely staff.

One of my favourite places in ayr and one of my overall favourite restaurants. Often travel from Hamilton to here for dinner
