We decided to go out at the last minute & managed to get a table. I was surprised that we did, when I saw how busy they were. After eating here, I can totally understand why it was so busy. Some of the best Indian food we’ve ever eaten. Topped off with very caring and knowledgeable staff. Our first visit will most certainly not be our last

Overall an amazing restaurant. Food and service was absolutely perfect, we had one vegan guest who was catered for brilliantly. When our very kind waiter realised we had a vegan guest he explained the vegan options clearly, as well as making sure when the food came out to explain what the vegan guest could eat. There was a wide variety of options on the menu for all allergy and diet requirements, our waiter was able to give recommendations and describe every dish! The food itself was delicious, couldn’t improve it at all! As a group we highly recommend the buttered chicken dish and the onion Bhaji’s. The restaurant itself was very clean and modern.To conclude, this is one the best Indian restaurants I have been to, highly recommend and we will definitely be returning in the future!

We went for lunch as we were in the area. We had decided to order an array of food which we would all share. The chutneys that came with the poppadums besides mango were different to what we usually expect. All 3 were very tasty, the prawn one especially. The rest of the food was arranged on our table and we tucked in. We rated the puri, the dal makhani, the prawns and the chicken tikka in particular. All the food was very different, mouth-wateringly tasty and beautifully presented and served. The service was excellent and we were impressed that we were explained what each dish was and contained. The restaurant was spotless. We were so impressed that we will return although we do not live locally. Thank you very much for such a stunning lunch.

The best Indian takeaways around. Lamb biryani and butter chicken are my favourites. Ordering online through their website is very easy too, and the staff are super friendly.

First time visit. From the outside the kerb appeal wasn’t the best but as we walked out after finishing our meal we were total bowled over. The restaurant is scrupulously clean and very COVID friendly. The owner looks after you like a long lost brother and best of all the food is different from most Indians and is absolutely fantastic.

Fantastic food, very different to the usual Indian restaurants we go to. COVID precautions very good and felt safe. The owner explained what was on the dishes when they were delivered which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend

If I were due to be executed tomorrow, I would come here for my last meal on Earth; it's by far my favourite restaurant anywhere! Fantastic service, amazing food, reasonable prices - what's not to love?!

This was my first visit to an indoors restaurant, a few days after this became possible again after lockdown. The parties in the restaurant were seated very far apart, so it felt completely safe to be there. Wonderful food ( great place for vegetarians, but my meat eating friends were also very happy!) and excellent, very friendly service from Nassito ( maybe spelt incorrectly, apologies!). We did visit before and will definitely come back!

This is our 3rd takeaway meal during LOCKDOWN from Saffron Summer. What a delicious food and interesting dishes. Wildboar Vindaloo dish is a must to try. Can't wait till they open for EAT IN.

First time we ordered at Saffron Summer for a birthday celebration today. Having seen previous comments we had high expectations- and wow, what a flavoursome and tongue-tingling dinner we had. Absolutely fantastic and can't wait to visit in person once opened again.

This is my second time of ordering takeaway to be delivered. I was recommended by friends to try the restaurant menu, they had very favourable things to say about it. I did and was very impressed with the food and the presentation of takeaway delivery. I decided to order delivery takeaway last evening and was very disappointed as it was not up to the usual standard, now whether this was because it was a Tuesday and quiet, but when the food arrived it was luke warm and I had to heat it up in the microwave, also the pappadoms were dry and chewy as if they had been reheated. The Naan bread was cold. For all this I paid £25.00. It left an unpleasant taste in my mouth and makes me think twice about ordering from them in the future, maybe I ljust hit an off night.

Just wanted to say we had another excellent takeaway this evening. As always food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended.

I have been searching for a reliable curry takeaway but despite good reviews of others in the area, they are always greasy, unhealthy and inconsistent. It seems to be an impossible task to find a really, really good curry. I have finally found a my go to place. The reviews speak for themselves. The food is of exemplary quality; it’s not oily at all, it’s fresh and arrives hot. We ordered ahead of time and it arrived dead on time. The service was great. Would highly recommend. By far the best curry I’ve ever had. Please don’t go anywhere else!

I do not usually review restaurants although I often read the reviews of others!! We were originally introduced to Saffron Summer by dear friends who read about the restaurant whilst abroad. My family and I have frequently dined there since and have never been disappointed. As our favourite restaurant my family had no doubts as to where we should go to celebrate a very special family occasion. Although required to socially distance it all worked really well. From start to finish the whole experience was 5 star. The menu was personally designed by the wonderful chef to meet our very long list of dietary requirements. Nothing is too much trouble. The quality of the food was absolutely outstanding and all the staff are wonderful, incredibly respectful and helpful. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

We had a memorable evening feeling safe at Saffron Summer as they take good covid measures. Got fantastic service from the waiting staff and a soft spoken Manager Nacito. Will be back.

Struck Gold: Eureka, every so often one hits the mother-load, and Saffron Summer is unquestionably the mother-load of Indian restaurants. The food beyond belief and ahead of the usual boring typical fayre , the staff utterly attentive, whilst the restaurant itself is calm and gracious. Words do not do this venue justice – I suggest that you add this place to your ‘Go To’ list and sample as soon as possible. Pity the TripAdvisor only goes to 5 Stars as this place really deserves a far higher number

We came to Saffron Summer after looking for a place online with good reviews I’m the area on our way back from an outing. The food blew us away as it was so well seasoned and delicately balanced. It was also not just your run of the mill Indian fare, but some really original recipes on the menu. It felt really safe and social distancing was observed with the staff wearing proper protective gear. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. We are definitely returning to sample some more of the menu. We felt the good was reasonably priced for the portion sizes and quality.

The service was wonderful all the waiters were so attentive and kind. The food was amazing and so beautifully presented. The whole place was lovely and clean! And covid safety top notch! Will definitely be back! Best Indian I’ve ever had! All my party agreed! Thank you Saffron Summer!

We called just before 9pm to see if they would be happy to let us in as we live local but had been caught a bit short by the Covid curfew. They very kindly offered us a table and I felt extremely safe there and like they were taking the necessary precautions seriously. The food was lovely, beautifully presented and good sized portions. Each dish had delicate flavours. Waiters were very friendly and attentive, and were very happy to package up our leftovers so we could enjoy them for lunch tomorrow. Would definitely go again, also really liked the decor, very tranquil!

Sunday night visit, only two other tables occupied. I was looking forward to finally try this place out. We have been hearing so much abut their food. We have decided to dine there in August on Wednesday. Without being too detailed about it: food was great, really good. I recommend most definitely prawn starter- outstanding. Most disappointing was dhall dish, very basic flavour.I have to poibt out the service here: it wasn’t bad, but it was unpleasant. Very stiff. I understand the pandemic and all, but they have made this experience very robotic. The most annoying was the service part, where I have specifically asked waiter to leave my plate as I would like to use it for the duration of the entire dinner ( we shared 6-7 different dishes), and as this poor guy explained- his manager told him that he is not allowed. Since when is the management telling guest how they like or must eat? I have sanitised plate and cutlery for myself and this is why i did not wanted them to change them every new dish. Its just not right.Although normally I would not complain about this, I find this extremely unpleasant and only due to the approach to service- i will not be back.On a happy note: Chef should be awarded for his taste balanced dishes.

Helpfully willing to accommodate at very short notice due to a cancellation at another restaurant. All precautions were in place so safety wasn’t an issue, yet still made to feel comfortable and welcome. The food was exceptional, good sized portions, well presented and really tasty. Can certainly recommend the house specials and they were also able to temper the heat of the vindaloo a little to my own preference. Service was on a par with the food and will certainly be returning again soon and also taking advantage of the delivery option! High recommended

Four of us went to this restaurant on 24th August. The service was excellent. All precautions were in place and we felt very safe. The food was delicious. Chicken tikka, two different lamb dishes and a prawn dish. It was a lovely evening. Although none of us are vegan or vegetarian I noticed that there were plenty of vegan and vegetarian choices.

You cannot be disappointed if you eat here...it was delicious. The service was excellent too.....very polite. I read the reviews on here before booking and I can only agree with them. My korma was the best I’ve ever tasted

Ordered a delivery from here and as I am Goan I was interested to know the restaurant sold prawn rechado! Here’s my review .... Naan was the closest I’ve tasted to an Indian bread bar the fact that it was a little thicker than what I have had at some of the best Indian restaurant in India and Dubai! Butter chicken was excellent with flavor and not the usual sugar infused food I’ve tasted in the local area. The rechado was a bit sweet but I can understand why it would be made that way ... overall exquisite flavor!The biryani was absolutely smashing! The best I’ve had since coming to the UK.The only option I did not use while ordering was adding a request for a more indian take on the food and I’m sure if I did they would have done the needful!Overall very impressed and will definitely be ordering my indian food from Saffron Summer from here on in!

We’d heard good things about this restaurant and it turns out the rumours are true. Saffron Summer serves arguably the best tasting curry dishes I’ve had in a long time...if not ever!

We were visiting Chessington and the hotel restaurant was fully booked so we decided to go here- best decision! Now, I’ve eaten plenty of curries over the years and I can honestly say this the best I’ve ever had. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive throughout, they were brilliant with the kids, picking up their crayons and pens, topping up their water and ensuring they were happy.With the current Covid issue the staff were well on top of it, wearing face masks & gloves and cleaning frequently when required.The food- just incredible. The mini papadums were a great idea accompanied by 3 tasty sauces. The 4 adults had starters consisting of the Prawn Recheado, Karwari Fried Fish and the Chicken Trilogy - all perfect. For the mains we had Kabuli Gosht (Lamb Rump), Lamb Rogan Josh x2 and the Boar Vindaloo (which can be tamed down if you are not sure of the heat) and the kids shared a Chicken Tikka Masala, there was rice and naan too, everything was flavoursome, nothing left, simply delicious.My only issue is they are a 1 hour drive away!If you live near Chessington you must try this place, if you are holidaying in Chessington you must try this place, if you are passing through you must try this place. If you love curry, you MUST try this place!

I know I've reviewed this exquisite restaurant before but this time its from the standpoint of a delivery/takeaway.Still standing strong being delivered as well as served in the restaurant. Although I do miss the lush starter shot (which I shan't sure share as it's an experience to be had not told!)I highly recommend the Seu Batata Puri, which I fashioned into a cheeky poppadom sandwich.

I drove from Kent to meet a friend at this restaurant as it was in a convenient half way spot. Was not expecting anything special but was blown away by the quality of the food and the care taken by the owners to provide a safe dining experience. Everything from the chutneys to the Rogan Josh and the vegetarian side dishes, was perfectly executed and full of flavour. Congratulations!

First time here. Wednesday night just as lockdown lifting so it was quiet. They take cleanliness and risk VERY seriously. The staff have 2 different masks on, gloves, and are constantly anti baccing the menus, card machine etc.. It is a bit weird when you walk in but they are very friendly and you soon get used to it. Food was great. Stand outs were the broccoli starter and the Romney Marsh Lamb main. Waiter seemed great at his job. Courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable.They could not have done more to make you feel confident in eating there and the food is def worth going out for.

One of our favourite restaurants pre-lockdown, and so pleased they are now doing takeaways. Tonight we ordered a takeaway over the phone, and opted to collect (ready for collection 20 minutes later). It was as good as eating at the restaurant (well, the food, not the atmosphere!), and was really hot temperature-wise. The packaging kept it all hot (we had three courses, and left it all on the kitchen counter until we got to the next course). It was a real treat, and we will do it again soon. Ordered online, very easy to do, can pre-order and able to specify a collection or delivery time. We collected our food and it was hot and very nice. Definitely will order again.

Today our favourite curry restaurant opened for takeaway food. Offering collection or delivery. We opted for collection. Absolutely wonderful to have them back after lockdown. The food didn’t disappoint. Perfectly clean. Perfectly cooked. New takeaway menu is worth looking at. Really looking forward to being able to eat in the restaurant soon.

The best service ever! All of the staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, so attentive to our needs and far beyond expectations. The best food so delicious! I am vegan and I’m very happy to have amazing Indian vegan food choices with a separate menu. Definitely would recommend.

I visited this restaurant last night with relatives having read recommendations by other customers on Trip advisor and I must say the food, ambiance and service were excellent. Not your usual 'indian' restaurant but more like the fine dining indian restaurants I usually expect of London establishments. The menu offers a very different style and the cooking and presentation is second to none - a really excellent evening and I do intend to return very, very soon. Well done!!

had a delightful evening and would highly recommend, the menu offered some tantalising new dishes and for once we decided to be a bit more adventurous than our standard traditional ordering and took the advice given, we were not disappointed. the Jazz Food starter was impeccably presented and the wild boar vindaloo was exceptional, tucked away on the Hook bypass this restaurant could be safely at home in the heart of the West End, try it, you will not be disappointed

We were staying at the Chessington Resort Hotel and shortly after arriving we were told that we were supposed to pre book a table. We weren’t previously informed of this and sadly some poor family’s were having to take their food to their rooms. We decided to search the local area for somewhere nice to eat and found Saffron Summer through Google. We booked a table and left the hotel. We were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our table. The head waiter was very polite, informative about the menu and happy to help with our decisions. The food was served promptly and the flavours were absolutely amazing. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Indian cuisine with a more rustic menu.

Lovely evening with a group of friends yesterday. We had a selection of vegetarian and non- vegetarian starters, mains and desserts, all delicious. We enjoyed Nacito’s super attentive and friendly service throughout the evening. Can highly recommend this place.

Had a very nice meal with friends over Valentines weekend . Very good service , friendly staff . As usual , we were the last to leave , but we didn’t feel rushed out the door ! My only criticism was that it was a set menu which wasn’t indicated on the booking website , but still a good selection. Would definitely eat there again .

This is not your typical Indian restaurant , the food is beautifully presented and the service impeccable. I had the street food to start with, which were presented in 3 or 4 different small stunning combinations of flavours. My main was cod which was cooked to perfection with a lovely soft spicy sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Having read the excellent reviews we thought we would treat ourselves and try Saffron Summer. It was absolutely brilliant! Beautiful food full of delicate and delicious flavours, impeccable service worthy of a five star hotel and a pleasant ambiance despite a challenging location on the Hook roundabout.A little more expensive than our usual more traditional Indian but we felt we had enjoyed a very special dining experience. Try the beautiful Jazz Street Food starter which was delicious. My husband had the lamb rogan josh and I had the butter chicken both of which were extremely tender.

Seemed a little over formal at first [quiet early evening] but warmed up as restaurant got busy. We shared three types of tandoori chicken as starter , interesting variety although one piece of chicken seemed undercooked. Pondicherry duck was well flavoured [served with couscous] Cod in coconut sauce plus pea and spinach puree was also good. Was taking itself quite seriously. Parking immediately outside the restaurant is limited, but there are surburban streets quite close.

Lovely food & excellent service! Heard of this restaurant through a friend & it did not disappoint - absolutely lovely 😊 Would definitely recommend the Calamari to start, it was amazing.

Can’t fault Saffron Summer. Service and food both live up to expectations and offer good value for money. If you are looking for a good Indian this will definitely exceed your expectations as the food is excellent. I have dined in several established Indian restaurants over the years, both traditional and contemporary. This place absolutely knocks spots of anything I’ve ever experienced!!!! The gentleman who looked after us was both polished and extremely polite. He went to great lengths to explain the dishes on offer. The food arrived promptly and I have to say it was absolutely delicious!!!!!! The place is also absolutely spotless both in the bathrooms and the dining area..... This restaurant would not be out of place in Knightsbridge or Mayfair and I’d happily have paid double the price for the experience as I was so impressed........ If you want to experience something special it’s right here........ Five star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My partner and I have celebrated our past two anniversaries at Saffron Summer. On both occasions we experienced the same attentive, friendly, classy service from the wait staff. The food was delicious ; rich with flavor and cooked to a tender perfection. Dishes were thoughtfully described to us and elegantly delivered. The atmosphere is warm and tasteful, with the perfect level of low-lighting and candlelight on the table. Saffron Summer went the extra mile to help make the evening special. We would happily return and recommend.

The surroundings are a bit surprising - you don't expect to find such a gem on a roundabout off the A3. The menu immediately strikes you as different - not your usual Korma, Madras, Dhansak etc. It features wild boar, guinea fowl and seasonal fish for example. These are well thought out dishes that are tasty, and intensely flavourful and not just spicy hot. Each dish is clearly individually prepared and not just generic meat with generic sauce. If you want a proper Indian meal with really good service, don't miss this restaurant.

Eat here because of all of the great reviews. I am not sure what they are for as it is simply average. The price is on the higher side, the food is nothing more than standard, I wouldn't eat there again as it wouldn't be worth it.

My husband and I are local to SS and are massive foodies. The food here is always exceptional, delicious and creative. The team make you feel like you are in a Michelin started restaurant with impeccable service. They hosted us again for a birthday meal (10) and everyone was blown away. We had my husbands birthday meal here last night and we can’t fault it. The food was amazing, served promptly and the service was amazing.Nacito and Sheldon were the perfect waiters and our party didn’t wait for anything, refilling drinks, replacing dish’s and making sure everyone had what they wanted.Highly recommend.

This is not your normal curry house. Very quiet, I was the only person in the place at 745pm They have some interesting dishes but few of your "staple" indian dishes. Quite expensive too, especially the mini popadoms. 50p each is excessive. Overall a quite expensive meal with fairly unusual dishes.

I have to say, that seeing a Sunday Roast menu in an Indian, kind of threw me, but this is well worth a try. The flavours were fantastic with lots of taster dishes as starters and then a 'traditional' skewered beef dish with Indian themed trimmimgs and after that a choice of curries with rice. Suggest if a number of you ask for a variety of dishes and do some sharing. I would put this amongt the top Indian restaurants I have visite.

Best Indian food I have had for a long time. Interesting dishes using ingredients such as partridge, duck and wild boar. Definitely not your average curry house, great food combined with excellent, friendly service make this a destination restaurant - I will be back!

I'm a curry lover and I've been there a few times even though it is not close to me. The food is always excellent. A bit different from the average curry house - in a good way. Inventive recipes. Sometimes unusual ingredients Try the street food jazz starter or the wild board vindaloo for something different and tasty. The best I've had outside the top London restaurants.

Outstanding service. Fantastic atmosphere and superb food. Wine menu chosen to compliment the food. The menu has interesting dishes to choose from. This is the best Indian restaurant we have visited. It is high class cuisine. Definitely highly recommended. We have visited twice now and we will be back to sample something else from the menu.

The food was delicious and tasted authentically of India! The staff were very friendly and helpful talking us through what everything was! The food was amazing and I really recommend ‘street food jazz’! Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

If this was located in Mayfair, next to the many Michelin Stars I have visited, it would certainly not be out of place! What wonderful food, ambience. It was clean and the food was thorough Indian street cuisine.We have eaten a number of great Indian restaurants in London and more locally, ale Raj. The food was different and stretched the norm of what everyone would normally order.Too much to describe, but you can see from the photos...Will certainly be back and I really do hope a critic awards you at least a Michelin Bib if not your first Star!

We went with friends who live locally and had found excellent reviews on the net.The first impression was the difficulty in parking. there is limited public parking in the adjacent service road which is free in the evenings. we were lucky, we parked almost outside.Once inside we were immediately impressed with the layout and decor, very tasteful and inviting. But it was the menu that was so impressive. Very different. I have never seen wild boar vindaloo anywhere else plus a number of different looking dishes. But for traditionalists there were meat/chicken/ fish Kurma, Balti, Tikka, Madras.Our very helpful waiter explained that the spice to any dish could be adjusted to your taste. We all ( four of us ) chose something different. There was an excellent choice of wines. There was not a long wait for the meals, we began with puppadoms and spices. Again very different, the puppadoms were mini versions served individually.The food was delicious, the service impeccable. I am sure we will go again.

Wednesday evening was a delightful experience, we enjoyed a meal of Indian street food comprising of four wonderful courses. Beautifully cooked food and really good service. Shame this menu is only available on a Wednesday evening. Perhaps other themed nights could be considered by the management. Keep up the great work everyone at Saffron summer.

I visited here last Night for the second time with a group of lads, and the food is excellent, they maintain a high standard, the menu is not too big, slightly unusual dishes you won't have seen before and the staff are very friendly, a bit expensive but you get what you pay for, recommended if you like somthing a bit finer / different from the usual.

Took my family to this restaurant, having raved about it for an excellent meal we had 2.5 years ago. What a disappointment we had. Have they changed chef since? Neither quality nor presentation were there. Greasy, bland, ugly and lacking freshness. My entire family agreed that we would not wish to eat there ever again. So sad.

We enjoy Indian food very much, this was probably the best Indian restaurant we have visited in the UK. The service was first rate, the food was excellent and the price reasonable.

Very warm friendly service. Excellent food, cooked to perfection. Varied menu with game birds as well as the “ regular” dishes. Not cheap, but definitely worth it👌👍

Thank you so much for arranging a wonderful lunch for my brother's wedding celebration.Ralph met with us before to discuss our requirements and really went out of his way to accommodate our requests.On the day of our lunch, Nacito and Sheldon provided us with a great service.
