Rudy's Neapolitan Pizza - Castle Street in Liverpool

Another great visit to Rudy's. Staff are attentive, food is great and beer is cold. Oh and Claudia Gunter is still the best

The pizzas are very tasty. A great pizza for little money. The tiramisu is very creamy. Even special requests are no problem. Very good, come again!

Thankfully had a booking for easter sunday as place was packed and great atmosphere. Excellent pizza, marg., straight out of Naples! The mixed meat and mozz starter was huge and sooo fresh, delicious. Lovely draught beer, only let down was the cheaper of the red wines, pretty dismal but note to self not to order it next time. Our waitress Millie (I hope thats her name) was a pure credit to the company, fabolous young girl. Make sure you book at wend and you wont be disapointed

Sorry but in the 21st Century, unlike most pizza places I have ever visited in Italy/Spain, you can’t cater for coeliac disease! Crust on bold street do, absolutely brilliant there, Rudis, Sadly, not so much!

We came in as a group of 5 for our friends birthday. We booked a table for 8pm on a thursday and the service was amazing. The food was delicious , we got served by Mia, Maisie and Fanos. Hands down the best service we had in a while.

We came here for dinner and were not disappointed. We had the meat, cheese and breads for starter which is a really big plate could have served 4. For main I had the pepperoni pizza and my partner had the portobello pizza. The pizzas are massive and made with fresh dough so they are amazing one of the best pizzas I’ve had. Will return

Amazing Pizza, cannot complain. The dough is especially good just like they make it in Italy. I won’t take any stars off because it’s not your specialty but the cocktails could be improved. Other than that service was also exceptional and the food came out extremely fast!! Okay one last compliment, I haven’t had such a good tiramisu since being in Italy and I live for tiramisu💗 will definitely come back when we visit Liverpool again 🥰

Don’t get me wrong. Pizza here is the real, classic, tiny, tasty, Neapolitan pizza. Busy setting, nice front staff, lovely smell of real wood fired pizza oven. What’s wrong then, you’d ask. We order two pizzas: a Margherita and the one with porchetta and potatoes. The second one was almost a Margherita for the little amount of topping on it and the Margherita was burned in almost a quarter of it. We saw the waitress at the pass pointing at it and the chef telling her to serve the pizza nonetheless so I’ve sent it back for then getting a second Margherita which bottom was white and barely cooked. We couldn’t win so we decided to eat it and pay the bill to then decide not to go back in our last day of holidays. It’s a shame cause a place so busy lacks on individual’s attention in order to get more pizzas done more quickly and get more paying customers. It would have needed just 20 secs more on the oven stone, far from the fire to cook it properly and only then to be moved nearby the fire, on the shovel. I know what I’m talking about cause I’m an head pizza chef myself. Maybe better to visit at lunch time in a not so busy shift. Disappointing.

Recently returned from Naples, where a particular restaurant was recommended for pizza. It was fantastic! Since returning, I was hoping to try a similar pizza in Liverpool! Saw the restaurant on TripAdvisor and thought I had to try it. While I would say the pizza in Naples was better, the highest praise I can give is to say it was very close to being as good. I never thought I'd taste anything near to a genuine Neapolitan pizza in Liverpool, but I was wrong. This place was the next best thing to being in Naples!

Excellent pizza, very casual restaurant, staff lovely, generally very enjoyable experience, would recommend a visit.

Pizza was as good as it always is, haven't found a better one outside of Italy! All staff members we have interacted with were lovely and really polite. The only issue is that it was a very busy Sunday (st. Patricks day) and it felt that they could have done with more staff

Really disappointed with my buffalo mozzarella margherita pizza. Plate was swimming in water from the cheese not being drained. Gave 2 stars as my son said his fior de latte margherita was ok.

I very rarely write reviews, but this was a very bad experience. We came in on a Sunday night about an hour before the restaurant's closing time and there seemed to be several tables available, but the guy at the front was extremely rude and said the tables were not available, "We are waiting for several reservations to come." In my head I think, an hour before closing on a Sunday? So we asked if we could sit at the small "bar" table that encircled the pizza oven, (where he had just let the couple in front of us sit and order food) but he just flat out refused. His last words were, "You are not the only people wanting to eat here."

Ordered this for take-out for the first time and it was great. Ordered the Carni pizza and all the dips. The pizza was great but the dips were unreal, especially the Nduja and Hot Honey ones. Would definitely order again

Just totally baffled over how the on floor manager behaved this evening. Its mothers day & the city was packed after the Liverpool match. The surrounding restaurants like San Carlo & Riva Blue didnt have a chair free. I decided to go to my favourite pizzeria in Liverpool. I came in 19.40 & the restaurant was half empty. The manager told me they cant accept more customers since they are closing in 45 min & didnt know if the pizza could be ready for that. What on earth is that for an answer. If i was the owner i would ask the manager to look for a new job. To say no to lots of customers at this time in a very busy sunday in Liverpool is just a complete joke. It didtnt help how the manager answered with a rude tone. Not good enough! By the way Rudys have the best pizza in Liverpool, so hopefully next time we meet another service level

Took my family here on a very busy Friday night. It was my sons choice as he was 18 that day. The welcome was warm and friendly , the table was lovely , the staff were attentive and friendly, the food was 5 star and the prices very reasonable . £91 for 5 of us with drinks. We rocked up at 18:15 , all of us starving . Our food was on the table 15 mins later. You never feel rush though . We stayed an hour in total and loved it . Will be going back soon. ps check out Queen Avenue next door it's one of the best kept secrets in Liverpool.

Excellent pizza!! Full of taste, delicious ingredients and perfectly baked. Large portions! Tiramisu was great too! Also approved by my Italian partner - so def try it if you’re around in Liverpool! Staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the atmosphere too!

This was honestly the greatest pizza I’ve had in AGES! Booked for the day time but prob didn’t need to in the end. Staff were friendly, struggled to understand what was on the menu at times but thanks to Google I worked it out. Service was great, staff were great, food was great and the price wasn’t bad either for the quality of the pizza. Loads of toppings! Will definitely go back

EXCELLENT attention from all the waiters who served us. The atmosphere is a bit noisy for my taste. The pizza dough is a bit soft and elastic for my taste, but apparently that is the Neapolitan pizza style 🤷‍♂️

Rudy's on Castle Street is our go to for pizza. We have been many times and the pizzas are delicious and come very quickly more often than not. Highly recommend.

Very tasty pizza and attentive and good service

Fab pizzas. As a vegan there is the option of a plainer pizza or one with some fake meat. I went for the latter and enjoyed it! I think some sort of vegan cheese or equivalent would have been a welcome addition, as I didn't fully feel like I was getting my money's worth. In terms of volume of food, though, it's plenty! They can provide boxes for your left overs if you ask, which is fab. Also, the prosecco cider is great!

Found cockroach in my food AGAIN, decided to give them a few months to fix issues reported last time, and once again found same problem, on a plus side, they cockroach was crunchy.

One of the best pizzas I have had, the crust is really mouthwatering! Just perfect, the tiramisu was great.

Nice vibe good decor and decent food. We had good friendly fast service. The starters were really nice with decent quality produce. Most of our party liked their pizzas however the triple pepperoni special with chilli honey was not a hit. It was very sloppy and didn’t have that much pepperoni. That said though the rest of the pizzas were enjoyed. It’s decent value for what is delivered.

Really good pizza, flavourful and the portion size of a pizza to one person is generous! The dips are also fantastic, I always feel satisfied when coming here! Staff are friendly and efficient, remembering orders so easily and fast with the orders. Would recommend if you're after a good neapolitan pizza 🍕I got the vegan pizza with regular cheese! It was sooo good!

We have been to Rudy's many times in the past and love the place. Popped in for dinner this evening and we both had a pizza Margherita (one with Grana Padano). Both were as amazing as always, along with the drinks being tasty (homemade lemonade and one of the specials). Looking forward to our next visit!

Really disappointing experience this evening. Came for a nice meal with a few friends I hadn’t seen in a while. The girl who first served us and took our order was lovely and food was good, but everything other than this was awful, as soon as we had finished our pizzas we were told it was ‘last orders’ for drinks, never heard this in a restaurant before. We ordered a few drinks. Straight after this bill was put on table. I said we wanted dessert, she came over to take dessert order (hadn’t even had time to look at menu), one person in the group wanted a cup of tea instead of dessert and was told couldn’t as last ordered had been served and so coffee machine was turned off. Straight after another bill put on table, and then a man came over with card machine. I said to him we felt quite rushed. He said the restaurant closed an hour ago, it was 21.35and I looked it up and restaurant closes at 21.45. I have never felt so rushed in a restaurant, and to be told it closes at half 8 is ridiculous, most restaurants take booking up until 21.00. The staff obviously all wanted to get home early, and it really wrecked our night, hadn’t seen one of my friends in years and didn’t even get to properly catch up with her. From about 8.50 really awkward rushed atmosphere. Won’t go back. On my way home local restaurants were still open and yet a city centre restaurant rushed people out and hour earlier. I wouldn’t come here for a meal out for a social reason, only if grabbing a quick pizza and nothing else.

Great food at affordable prices. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning.

Rudy’s is consistently the best, offering incredibly delicious pizza in a fantastic atmosphere with friendly staff. It’s amazing to sit outside during the summer to enjoy the weather and the stunning street views.

This is the best pizza I've ever had 😭😭😭😭 Pizza's Giants in Indonesia, like Pizza Hut and Domino, normally serve thick dough and play with the toppings. However, here, my eyes were opened and my mouth was tasted that there's a species of thin and delicious pizza. You don't have to worry about the toppings, because the dough is delicious enough to be eaten plain. Yes!! It's tasty, milky and savoury, I can chew it without anything. Plus, it's baked there, freshly from the oven. The tastiness is multiplied. You guys have to try it!

Zdecydowaliśmy się na pizzę w tym miejscu ze względu na dobrą ocenę na Google Maps i cóż, ponownie Google nie kłamał! :) Bardzo smaczna pizza za naprawdę przystępną cenę. Świetne składniki i jedyne do czego można by się przyczepić było nieco spalone po bokach pizzy ciasto; ale nie wpłynęło to negatywnie na smak. Na pizze czekaliśmy około 15 minut, obsługa bardzo miła i za to również zdecydowany plus! Dziękujemy i polecamy! :)

Always a good time in Rudy's, had to wait for a table but that's fine as the food is always worth it and there are bars nearby for a quick drink while waiting. Food was spot on as usual, staff even apologies for sitting us near the door due to it being busy and we're super polite throughout. Best pizza outside of Italy.

Great atmosphere and the Pizza was absolutely superb, best I've had in Liverpool so far! Staff were really friendly. Try the dips, the Honey and Chilli sounds weird but is amazing. Safe to say I'll be back with my colleagues when next staying in Liverpool.

The venue was perfectly enjoyable, staff were well above average and the concept is good, however the food was disappointing. Having heard good things I tried three pizzas but found them to be more Pizza Express than anything my Italian family cook or anything like I eat in Italy. The bases were very sloppy, the tomato sauce too thin and sweet, the toppings too complex and fussy. I was really excited to go but it just wasn’t very good. I expect it was once great but then when it became a huge chain and the accountants got involved that it lost whatever made it special.

Excellent service, didn't have to wait to be seated and food came out promptly. Portion sizes are generous, we could have ordered one pizza between us. Pizza was delicious and freshly made.

Excellent pizza, freshly made and simply gorgeous ingredients. In a completely different class to the other mainstream high street pizza multiples. Highly recommended. Be aware the toilet is unisex (possibly temporarily) which did cause a problem when I didn’t know this and nipped for a pee (I’m a bloke) and there was a middle aged woman doing her makeup in the mirror. Slightly unsettled by the female presence in the loo area, I gave her a wide berth and made a smart exit without pausing next to her to wash my hands. Imagine my surprise when she followed me out of the loo and began berating me in a loud voice for not washing my hands! Memo to Rudy’s; please make it clear that the loo is unisex, as this might avert unseemly arguments in your corridor. Memo to gobby Karen: don’t confront strange men in confined spaces, next time it might be someone less tolerant of your stupidity.

The atmosphere on a Saturday night here is hot, noisy and vibrant (the heating was on full blast!) We had lemony olives and cheesy garlic bread to start and triple pepperoni and tarantina pizzas for mains. The pizza and toppings are gorgeous, as is the house lemonade. Service was great, prompt and efficient; I did have to wait a few minutes after the others for my pizza; but having being told that it was on its way, was happy to wait. That was the only minor blip. Overall a good meal, great value and a good atmosphere. We had no room for a pudding sadly, so will definitely return another time.

Great pizzeria right in the city center. Pizzas are hearty; made with high quality ingredients and in the traditional Neapolitan manner. I ordered the Agnello Vegana and loved it. The ambience is cozy and the service quick and friendly.

This pizzeria is fine by sight and in terms of food! Only what was on the receipt was a bit of a shock! We had eaten with 5 people for (about) £45, on this there was a further £6.50 service charge, whereas it says that these charges are only charged from 6 people upwards! All right, paid though, because we don't want to be the annoying customer! But we had not even finished the pizza for 5 minutes, when we were looked away, (by a young man) we were not too kindly asked to leave because a group of 6 people were coming! And that while the whole restaurant was half empty! For me, never again Pizza was fine

We been to Rudy’s for a Baby girl Party. I chose Triple Pepperoni pizza of the special menu. Ingredients were ok , but Dough was chewy and pizza not really hot when arrived. I ate all the pizza because I don’t like waste money and food. But the most absurd thing is that it isn’t kids menu !! Lot of kids use to frequent this place ! So my little boy couldn’t have his lunch because it’s not pizza fancy. Really disappoint ! But at least service was good with the Italian guy very polite and kind .

It wasn't too busy when I went so it was a bit echo-ey but I guess when it's full up you don't get that. Good location too. As far as I can tell, there's no parking. You need to find a spot yourself.

Was recommended to me by a few local folk. And it actually surpassed expectations. Firstly, so friendly! Everyone i interacted with or served me was just delightful. Then onto the star of the show... Drink - homemade lemonade - never had better, outstanding. Could drink that all day, every day. Best Caesar Salad i have ever had. Fresh, creamy, cheesy and just wow. The pizza - extra cheese, olives, sundried tomatoes and fresh chillies - best traditional version I've had in the UK. 5☆☆☆☆☆ experience. Grazie!

Essa pizzaria foi muito bem recomendada e fomos com altas expectativas, mas infelizmente não tivemos uma boa experiência com a pizza. As 3 pizzas que pedimos vieram muito queimadas (de comer e sentir gosto de queimado, e não o sabor da pizza, bem diferente das fotos que vimos), e o atendimento também deixou a desejar (pedimos água e trouxeram só dois copos, éramos 3 pessoas, demoravam demais para olhar para a nossa mesa, enquanto a mesa do lado, com várias pessoas, era atendida o tempo inteiro). Enfim, sem ter gosto de queimado a pizza parece ser boa, mas ficou difícil avaliar. Não sei se voltaria.

I can't count how many times we have been to Rudy's. It literally is the GOAT of pizzerias. Service is always spot on. Pizzas are chefs kiss and the tiramisu is 🫶🏼 Tonight we had the Rum Baba for dessert, incredible. We love Rudy's!!
