I can see why people HYPE about this restaurant. If youve not tried it definitely give it a go. It was really ice and very authentic Greek vibes, the staff are so nice, great service 👍🏼 I'll definitely be coming back to try some other dishes as they menu had a great choice. I tried the veggie Stuffed peppers, chips and Spanakopita (see pics).

Great Greek restaurant in Manchester City Centre. We opted for the mini-meze each, which was a nice selection of traditional Greek dishes. The food was tasty, but it came out VERY fast, so clearly wasn't as fresh as we had hoped. Visited on a Sunday around 4pm. so the restaurant was empty, can't really comment on the atmosphere/vibe. Candle lit at the dinner table, and flowers on each table made for a nice meal though. Service was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. Pretty much the only reason I'm giving this a 3/5, the price... I found this restaurant VERY expensive compared to other Greek restaurants. Mains were £20+. And a glass of Coke (not even a pint glass) was £4.50 - I couldn't believe it!

Ordered dips with pita for appetisers and had the Mousaka as main- everything was amazing!

Great meal, plenty to eat and great service.

Went for a team dinner. The food and service was fantastic. I was completely full by the time we finished the starters!! The main course was quite good. They were happy to accommodate my special request and gave me the suitable food. We were there for close to 3 hours. The muscician continues playing non stop all three hours while some of the waiters engaged us with some dancing as well..great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend if you plan to spend 3-4 hours

I don’t even know where to begin. This restaurant is perfection. The food, the atmosphere, music and staff. You will have an unforgettable experience there. Last night was my birthday. I went there with a couple of friends to have dinner and the lovely staff there have made it an amazing night for us. I will definitely come back.

Amazing traditional Greek, been many times. Came as a group of 10 for a lunchtime meal. Drinks served swiftly, food ordered and freshly prepared. Staff work very hard.

Poor service, waiter was impatient and didn't listen to our food requirements. Food was tasteless and full of Oregano.

Poor service and below average food. 10-15 minutes after 2 out of 5 people at the table were served their food, we asked when the other dishes would come and was met with attitude. The waiter then was finding our complaint amusing as he was discussing it with his colleagues while pointing over at our table. After finally being served the rest of our order, a total of 30 minutes after the first two plates which were cold at this point as we wanted to eat together, the waiters and waitresses basically dropped the plates in front of us and said 'enjoy' with an aggressive tone. The food was far far too expensive to have that service, but even If the service was good, the food was nothing special. The pork for example was so tough I was unable to cut it. would not recommend and would not go again.

I've given 4 stars for service as the staff were lovely & very accommodating. However the food was average, my pork was quite fatty & my partners stiffado dish was just OK. We have a Greek restaurant in Chesterfield which is fantastic compared to this highly rated one in Manchester. (Sorry but we didn't experience the same as others in terms of the food).

The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere of a traditional Greek taverna - and the staff extremely friendly. Out of the three of us dining last night - one of us enjoyed our food - the other two had extremely unpleasant meals. They were cold & the stifado had the taste of what can only be described as dirty pennies / dish water. It had not been reduced down long enough for sure. The starters were decent, but the meatballs were not fresh at all and extremely mushy, I am guessing defrosted from frozen - considering the cost of the items on the menu I was expecting much much more! Very disappointed and sadly, won’t be dining again. The servers were lovely though, not going to take anything away from them 😊

I have walked past this place a number of times always wanting to try it, so finally I got the opportunity. Both of us had little experience with Greek cuisine, so we went for the sharing mega meat meze, this meant we got to try a lot of different dishes for a good price definitely recommend. To start you get all the dips fresh salad and the best pita breads I've had. The hummus was delicious. I'm not a salad person but I really enjoyed it. Then the hot dishes came out and it was incredible, no space left on the table. Each dish tasted great beef stew very tender, tasty lamb chops, kebabs chewy but flavourful, only let down was the chips but that's nothing to worry about they were home made at least. Dessert we shared a baclava one of my favourite choices this one was very sweet but wonderful with the ice cream. The experience of the night I would recommend the food tasted wonderful, clean restaurant with attentive happy staff. Will visit again once we return to Manchester

I've never been in here before and I have too be honest. I've never been in a Greek restaurant either. I ordered the Kleftiko ( large leg of lamb ) for a change from chips, I went with the rice. I've gotta say, it was 1st class. Great atmosphere, great staff and a place I will certainly go back to very soon.

Have been here a number of times over the years. My last visit however, the food was very dry and overcooked. Staff are friendly, it can get a little loud on busy nights.

What a great evening! The food was so good - I had the Stifado and it was - chef’s kiss! There was live Greek music which added to the atmosphere and despite the heavy rain outside, it felt sunny and cheerful inside.

The atmosphere is the key to this restaurants success. Really good vibe inside that replicates being in a little Greek tavern. I don't think the food matched this vibe though. Everything was just okay, would struggle to give anything more than a 7/10 and for the price I would most likely just come back for a drink to soak up the atmosphere.

Rozafa is located in the Manchester city, with short walking distance from St. Peter Square metrolink. This restaurant provides Greek cuisine. Food is delicious and the price is reasonable. The portion size of the dishes is appropriate too. The service of one waiter is welcoming while others so-so.

Highly recommend! Hands down the best Greek / Cypriot food restaurant in the whole of Manchester. Everything is authentic, cooked to perfection and served by a delightful team waiters and staff. The menu contains a variety of anything to suit your needs including original Greek / Cypriot wines and beers, dropped at your table almost instantly. The atmosphere is wonderful, with happy staff and traditional music playing throughout you feel apart of a genuine Greek environment whilst enjoying the most wonderful taste of delicacies! 10/10

Great place to eat. Feels family run. Staff sat in the corner rolling vine leaves chatting and laughing just gave the restaurant a nice feel and atmosphere. We got a meze and mixed souvlaki and it was all excellent!

It was a distressing visit. As we entered the restaurant the waiter greeting us was very absent and rude by attitude. We felt unwelcome . We ordered our food and drinks with him, but still not even a twinge or a smile . Anyway , that was the beginning of our experience. My wife ordered some grilled chicken , the rest of us different main menu dishes. When the food order arrived My wife's chicken looked burned. The taste was bitter because of that. We showed that to the waiter. He said it is cooked as it should be, as otherwise we can get sick. My wife returned it to the kitchen and said she can't eat it like that. When we asked to pay, that dish wan on the bill. Weird , rude and confusing as she ate nothing at all. I asked , politely again, to speak to a manager. The manager came across, we explained that the customer service the waiter provided was inexistent and that the chicken was burnt. Even he said that it was cooked properly and that 20 years experience 😳 can't be erased. But I am sorry, we can not eat burnt meat , just because !!! At least he apologised but it is the last time we are coming in this restaurant. You should be banned serving or interacting with customers. They added a £14,99 service charge as well. For what? For being rude?!?!? I would never go in there. Really, really dissatisfied and disappointed! Greeks are always showing respect and value ! This so called restaurant doesn't!

Tried to book a table online but never got reply email so we turned up the person on the door did seat us without any issue but told us we’d booked too late. Food was delicious and good sized portions. Only reason I’ve not scored the highest I can is down to the amount of flys around the walls were covered in them which I didn’t notice till we had already been served our mains just didn’t make the experience what we wanted.

Booked online, was told I would get a confirmation email. Never did so called up days in advance. Was told it was all manual but assured it was all OK and my confirmation would be sent through (after giving my name on the booking). Still never got it so called again and was told there was no booking and they could only squeeze me in at 5 pm. I booked as my friend was visiting, her train due in at 5.15. Now I'm left with no booking on a Saturday night. The guy on the phone couldn't even apologise. Pathetic system and pathetic service.

They’ve put service charge and force you to pay it ! The mezes are just ridiculous its just lame marketing trick small portions and really bad service from the guy with the white beard and white hair in a ponytail,he seemed really off and was looking at us strange and talking nonsense… he couldn’t even speak when we asked him something in english he said :sorry not english TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS GUYS HE WAS REALLY DRUNK… sorry im not from England as well but at least i can communicate effectively with people?! They are looking at you while you eat its really uncomfortable and unprofessional !!! Not going there again worst 90 pound spend thanks for ruining my birthday

Was a walk in with no booking and they made a table available for 6 of us. Staff were brilliant, so helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere and the food was incredible!

It's a very unpalatable restaurant. It's not like Greek food. There is a strong pungent smell in the store which is very unpleasant. The lemon in soda is very thin and there is no ice. This is a restaurant with very poor food quality. The food is very bad. Slow, the meat was tough, the tuna salad was canned, this is a Greek restaurant with very poor food.

Disappointing trip here really. (We still had fun as good group of us, but not to do with the restaurant!). We were seated in the basement. Service was slow. They forgot 2 of our meals and then got one of those wrong. One of us asked for half chips half rice and they said “not tonight”. Would have been better just to say they don’t do that - and really how hard would it have been? £19 for chicken skewer and 4 roast potatoes. No garnish / salad / bread etc - just felt a bit mean. And compulsory service charges…grrr. We’re not in the US. They did have Greek music and dancing and the food was tasty (albeit very expensive for what it was). Wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Found the place very tired and decor aged , service when we went in was ok and attentive however once we ordered we were ignored , but once we ordered too be fair the starters of a mezze was very nice dips and bread , however we ordered the souvlaki had lamb and my wife had chicken the chicken which I tasted was very dry and tasteless seasoning was lacking and my lamb was chewy and very fatty and again flavourless , very didsapounted as I had been recommended this place we will never return

LOW QUALITY OLD FOOD , almost everything tasted store bought and microwaved. even the bread was from a packet , like you get in asian stores, they dont even use pitta bread. the starters were absolutely terrible, small little pots of 1 week old dips , day old salad, tastless meatballs, a tiny slice of cheese was the only thing that had flavour. ==== VERY EXPENSIVE for such low quality food, £ 4 for a small glass of fizzy drink ( Cola ou tof a plastic bottle that lost a lot of its fizz , nice eh? ) £ 7 for a bottle of water, £ 19 for a basic kebab with some rice on the side! oh and the decor was decades old, with worn plates and scratched glasses, the owner must think they are a michelin star restaurant, charging ridiculous high prices for microwaved food.....the only reason they are still open, is becuase they are in a city centre location , so have lots of tourists etc...... if they had to rely on repeat customers I doubt they would survive 3 months ( and in Greece theyd be laughed at and be empty ) === how on earth they have 5 star reviews on here is a mystery, maybe some people have never had good food, so think a basic lamb shank or grilled sea bass is ' amazing ' , because they come from a culture of sausage and chips etc and dont know any better === to the rest of us IF YOU LIKE GOOD FOOD = THIS IS NoT THE PLACE TO VISIT

So I’ve been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and it’s been ok last Saturday myself and my daughter were walking past at about 13.30 there we’re only about 10 people in so it was empty we just fancied a couple of Keo beers as we entered I just said to the waiter ok for just a drink he replied you can get a drink up the road I said yes but I can’t get Keo there tough you can’t just have a drink here we left I can understand if the place was full but it was empty I decided to email the manager twice and then the owner different email address twice nothing from either I hadn’t realised until I saw the reviews on this site how bad it was regarding customer service Greeks and Cypriots are proud of this the word for it is filoxenia hospitality in English unfortunately there is none here I’ll be back in Cyprus soon and I’ll get my Keo it will be interesting if i ever get a response

The food is ok, but not up to the standards I’m used to in Greece. The restaurant is in a great location and will hit the spot if you’re in need of a Greek fix. They don’t do Gyros which is my favourite dish, so that was disappointing. Souvlaki was ok, but didn’t come with the side salad, pittas, tzatziki etc I’m used to getting when in Greece. I always tip 10% minimum, but I hate it when places add it on automatically and then deliver substandard quality. I can see why this causes so many issues in other reviews. I think £6.30 for a Mythos is the most I’ve ever paid anywhere in the world too.

The manager Johnny was extremely rude and made an insulting joke, which I then went on to mention why the service charge was removed. He proceeded to grab my credit card and get me to pay the bill, asking not to come back to the restaurant. When I mentioned that the joke made was inappropriate he got so angry and stood over me in a threatening way. He was one of the most unpleasant and awful people I have ever encountered in the hospitality industry. Absolute shame for the establishment to hire someone of this calibre. The whole experience was ruined by this manager who clearly does not have any respect towards patrons. The waiter I had was however a lovely man and I left him with a tip. Hopefully this manager can be removed in order to provide a much friendlier environment for people to enjoy their food.

Very disappointing manner in which we were treated at this restaurant. After being told to ‘wash the dishes’, the man in the waistcoat who is managing the place asked us to ‘never come back’ as we didn’t pay the service charge because of the insulting comment that he had made. Doesn’t care about the customers being treated with respect after a £130 bill.

I was here with my family and friends last night. The owner of the restaurant was extremely rude and made a very inappropriate joke, saying “are you here to wash the dishes”. Saying this to patrons paying a £130 pound bill sounds absurd. Being someone from an ethnic minority I almost fell as if the owner was a racist, which is absurd considering the ethnic diversity in the city of Manchester. When the service charge was asked to be removed the owner was so threatening and nasty that he said don’t ever come back here again. The man was absolutely horrible and should not be in the hospitality industry. This was a shocking experience and I think restaurants of this calibre should not be allowed to run!! Extremely high service charge and threatening behaviour from the owner. I cannot believe this restaurant was rated highly. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE HOSPITALITY, DO NOT RUN A RESTAURANT.

We came here last time we were in Manchester for Pride and it really is stunning Greek food. You get heaps in a portion, and the hummus is divine. My daughter doesn't actually like tzatziki from anywhere except here. The staff are super friendly and attentive and the outside seating area is really nice, even in a downpour!

I dream of the day I can come back for the stuffed peppers (again). And super friendly staff!

A lovely, authentic greek restaurant with outside dining. The food was excellent, very tasty and perfect portions. We were lucky to get a seat outside and the sun was shining. The service was ok, nothing special, nothing to wow us. I imagine this place comes alive at night. Would return just to try more dishes.

The food was average and the service wasn’t that great. When we came to pay the bill it got worse. On the first page of the menu, it is written that it is optional to pay the 10% service charge. We had just ordered 2 mezes for a group a 4. When we asked about the service charge the first waiter was confrontational. Then another waiter runs to our table and yells at us and tells us that that the next time we visit we are required to pay the service charge and it their policy apparently, even though it’s written on their menu it’s optional. On top of this they have no card machines -they should have given us the service charge for making us go to the ATM to take out the money. It makes sense for a restaurant to charge reasonable service charges when there is a big order for a bigger group of people.

We dined here in July 2022 & the food was great as well as the service. We were served by a short, jolly & funny gentleman. However this time - August 2023, we didn't see him at all and it was quite an experience, despite the restaurant not being busy, at all. The 1st thing we were told before receiving menus was that there is a service charge on the bill. We smiled at eachother and waited for the menus. Service charge is always optional. We ordered drinks, few starters & dips and our mains. One of my friends really liked the blue and white decor and said she wants to bring the kids over on the next trip to Manchester. She then asked the waiter if they have kids menus and his answer was a shocked and very firm NO, while shaking his head. 😅 I wish someone would have filmed the whole time we were there. We felt like we were in one of the weird restaurants that ended up on Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Starters were very small but not horrible. You get bread if you order dips but sadly it was burned. And when it came to the mains - same thing. The meat was burned. I only took a picture of my dish which was the chicken & I will attach it to the review. The burned parts were very charred and the taste very overpowering, to be able to half enjoy it you'd have to cut out all the black parts. But even so it was overcooked and very dry. My friend who had the pork had it burned as well & said it was very chewy. He could barely cut through it. Both our dishes were sprinkled with lots of white onion and parsley to hide the black burnt parts. 😆 The chips were also very oily and weird tasting. There was a female chef in the kitchen who kept yelling at staff. Either her or someone she was yelling at burned the bread and all the meat, I guess. I felt bad for bringing my friends here based on our last year visit, so I offered to pay for everyone. We didn't tell the staff anything. Another table did complain about their food and they got into an argument. Plus the gentleman who served us was grumpy all through. We left most of the food on plates, asked for the bill, paid & left. Based on what we saw in the restaurant and on how the owner answers to criticism - here, I doubt us saying something would have made a difference. We just took the L and went to have dessert in Chinatown. This place is definitely not a good representation of Greek food/culture neither worth the money. If you have a soft drink, starters and a main you'll spend about £50/person. If you have the money and wanna risk it do try, I guess. If not, save your money for better quality & service elsewhere.

The second time this has happened… 40 minute wait for starters… asked waiter for a number of things which they kept forgetting. Food is good but not worth the waiting around. Last time we went was November 2022 and they forgot half our order… Not worth the money you spend! Some of staff nice some rude

What's not to like about this restaurant? Practically perfect. The food is superb, the staff are super friendly and extremely efficient and the atmosphere is delightful. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Very bad service order 1 time they got it wrong and then order 2nd time they still got it wrong n the 3 time they still got it wrong the food was not tast right two much salt in the food so no star

The leg of lamb was lovely but the service poor. When the bill came they had added a service charge which I asked they remove. The member asked why and I explained that the food was ok but the service not and as it was discretionary I wanted my share removed. Another member of staff said they’d not remove it next time as it was their “policy” Suffice to say I won’t go back or recommended it to anyone.

Food was nice. When we all got the meals, as wrong ones delivered originally, most of the staff are good. Certain staff member was rude and aggressive with it being wrong in the order originally , it is a shame that members ruined our family night. The restaurant had good entertainment, it is a shame about one member of staff .

Chanced upon this Greek restaurant in Manchester. Great service, delicious food! We finished every mouthful of appetiser, dips, salad, main and dessert. Very reasonable price for great food.

Amazing food, everything is so fresh and the portions are a good size! The food is absolutely amazing, I will 100% be coming back. It states on the first page of the menu that 10% service charge is optional, but I decided to pay more as the service, food, atmosphere was beyond amazing. Thank you Rozafa for a beautiful night!

First time we came here and what a delight! Wish we would have stumbled across this earlier! What a lovely atmosphere, the service was excellent and the food…! The food was superb! We had the meat set menu for 2. Everything that was served was delicious and cooked to perfection! Great place for family, friends and couples. What a place! Absolutely will be returning!
